Always quiet, food typical to bagel eatery. Just so many different bagel flavor profiles and the choices are very flavor full. Coffee hot and usually a regular, decaf, and 1 or 2 flavored. Very quick service and there are occasional small group meetings here which is easy to accommodate. Very open floor format, big windows to watch the outside world. A short screen or partition to break up the openness of the place would be nice because you can be stared at throughout if your socks don’t match.

I used to love this place so much! The staff was super friendly, fast, and just all around awesome. However, I went there there this morning and the staff barely spoke to us, took 20 minutes to get our food out (maybe 2 people in front of us). Also once I got my food my bagel sandwich was cut in half horribly... one side of my bagel sandwich was maybe a millimeter thick. I love Einstein’s and have always loved it. This trip has made me second guess ever going back to the blue springs location.

New management is doing great. They finally keep everything in stock. No more lazy family members hanging around from the old management. Store is much cleaner and new employees don’t act all ghetto and disrespectful. Keep up the good job.

They were very efficient. Their bagels are delicious. Just dont go there as much as I want because Im a vegan. On weekends Im a vegetarian. And they are expensive. And I dont have much money. And no credit card.🙁

Ive been coming into Einsteins for several years now, 2-3 times a week and often twice a day, breakfast and lunch. The food is still great but over the last year, staff and management (Shelby) have been replaced with people who dont seem too enthralled about being there. It is certainly understandable that sometimes during the morning rush the coffee will run low but now, if you let one of the staff know, they act inconvenienced. The previous staff were always friendly The people that are working there seem put out. Ive also noticed that its not nearly as busy as it used to be which possibly means other people have taken notice of the less than friendly atmosphere. As I stated, the food is still delicious and the restaurant is always clean but the personality of the staff will have me eating elsewhere from now on.

Gross and slimy lettuce on my turkey sandwich and wilted pickle spear on the side. They asked If I wanted fruit or chips on the side and I was afraid to see what the fruit looked like so I opted for a bag of chips ( which I really didn’t want). The girl serving seemed lazy (tossing bagels into bins instead of taking an extra step to place them properly) and the guy behind the counter was just plain rude. He had his earbuds in and was messing with his cell phone most of the time, then seemed irritated when being asked a question. When the girl made my husbands sandwich she grabbed a small deformed bagel, even though there were plenty left in the bin. I thought that was pretty lazy as well. It didn’t seem like there was any concern for quality at all when making the sandwiches. The place was also pretty dirty for a restaurant. I’m not sure how they pass inspections with all of that going on.This is such a huge disappointment since I love Einstein bagels so much and this is the closest one to me in Lee Summit. However, I don’t want to risk food poisoning so I won’t be back.

UPDATE: I just wanted to give a quick update on the positive, much needed change that is taking place at this location. I have stopped in twice since the new crew has came in and I am more than happy with what i have seen so far! Way to go!!!!The last handful of times I have been in, the attitude and unprofessional behavior from employees is sickening. Not friendly at all! They make your order as if its killing them!!!

As a former employee, to see the condition of this place is pretty upsetting. First off, on the busiest day of the week (Saturday) why are there only two employees working? This causes the line to back up and for people to stand in line for 20 minutes because the food takes long to prepare with only two people working, one of those are just taking orders. The place is absolutely disgusting as well. Trash everywhere on the food prep line and the floor, the soda fountain and coffee counters have spilled liquid all over the place. There was a pile of dirty wash cloths on the coffee bar. The lid to the soda foundation ice was also off and just sitting on the counter. I’ve never once seen them clean off the line when it gets messy, or before they prepare someone else’s order. Eggs and milk are left out on the counter when they should be refrigerated. The bathroom was awful as well. I’m really surprised this place is passing inspections. Who knows what the back looks like. You can really tell that one cares about this place, and that goes all the way up to corporate. This place has needed an order taking spot since I worked there, that was in 2011. The wood floors are in terrible condition. The booths are all torn up. This place needs a makeover. And that includes the employees that are not friendly and don’t wear hats. For the price I pay for a sandwich and drink, I expect friendliness, cleanliness, and an overall positive experience. I get none of these things every time I come in. And that’s not an exaggeration. This last visit cause me to write this review. I paid for an egg sandwich with two eggs. When I got my sandwich it only had one egg. I informed the employee and she literally just put another egg on the sandwich and didn’t cut the egg. My original sandwich was cut in half, but when she added the egg she didn’t cut the egg for me. I had to rip my sandwich for it to be cut in half again. That was pure laziness. Out of all these bad reviews, how come nothing has changed? I’m done wasting my money here.

The food is always fresh. The staff however is not and miss. Sometimes you get morning with people thst want to be there and sometimes you dont. There are not many of these around so focus on customer service should be more important. Otherwise very good.

Food is good no complaints, but customer service needs action. Negative Nancy is not who I need serving me my coffee and breakfast. Not a good start to the day for sure.

I usually love this place for my experience there before but not today it’s awful service, nothing but rude altitude. I order 3 chicken bagel sandwich for breakfast, they all cool just come out the freezer and I ask one of tho guys to warn up for me, he throws my food in the microwave and overheating. What a awful service I ever had And don’t ever complain but I can’t take theirs altitudes. I won’t go back again.

I visited this location for the first time this morning to surprise my coworkers with bagels. For whatever reason, the order that I completed online did not make it to the store so it wasn’t ready when I got there. I thought this might happen because I never received any type of confirmation for my order even though my debit card was charged immediately. Anyway, the staff members were incredibly friendly and happy to get my order together quickly. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names, but the three people that helped this morning were the nicest people I’ve encountered in the food service industry in a very long time. I will definitely be a returning customer. The website, however, could use some work.

I come here all the time. Or I did until recently. I started coming to this location regularly about 3 years ago. Almost every time without fail I was helped by the same person, Shelby. She was an incredible manager! She would remember your name and your order and have it ready for you before you were even ready to order. She made the best coffee drinks and always had a smile and a laugh for you. It didnt matter who she was working with, she always spoke to them respectfully, and it was clear the staff and other customers loved her. I even got my friends and co-workers to start coming here with me. I met with a group of people here about once a month and she was the reason why I even suggested it. That, and the delicious food. But let me tell you, as much as I love her, the other manager (Donna? Dottie?) always, ALWAYS had an attitude with the other customers and the employees. She would yell at her employees and would humiliate them over the smallest things. She and I once had an altercation when she told Shelby that she was making my sandwich wrong, just because I requested a different ingredient on it, LIKE I ALWAYS DO. Whenever she was there, morale was visibly down. She isnt there anymore, but unfortunately, neither is Shelby.And the other manager that has been there for a while, Tiffany, is just loud, abrasive, and immature. I am SOOOO happy that Shelby got a better job, but this place is awful without her. Im not saying that because I became attached to her, Im saying that because the new employees (yes, multiple new employees, because after Shelby left, so did five or more other members of the staff) dont care about anything or anyone but themselves. They talk non-stop, ignore the customers, and the new managers are.... lacking. The food is still good, but no one has bothered to try to remember my name, or offer more than the fake smile that you can get at any fast food place. Which is what this place has become--another lackluster fast food restaurant. I know that Shelby left for an office job, but you really, really lost something by letting her go. Neither myself nor my family, friends, co-workers, or my husband, even want to come back. I might change my mind if your new staff starts acting like they care about their customers. Im sorry.

During peak hours and you only have one person working, horrible customer service and experience. Waited in line forever. Management should do a better job of making sure your store is staffed correctly.

Good food and quality coffee, but its probably one of the more disorganized establishments Ive been too. Made me anxious just to stand there and watch them. They were really busy and none of the employees had specific roles so everybody was trying to do everything. Prices are a bit steep, but its pretty fresh.

Consistent coffee. Fresh bagels. Line is slow considering only one person can use the register while other empoyees stand and watch that person help someone...

Meet here weekly. Coffee has tons of grounds in it, but I really enjoy the staff and manager. They are always nice.

Service person was amazing with that said, it was a Friday morning in a hurry to get begals for my guys at work. Only one employee on shift working her tail off. But I had to wait about 30 min to get all the way through line.

I just changed my 4 star review to a 1. Have been coming to this store for many years. Has gone significantly down hill. Dirty, rude, bagels and pastries always burnt, staff does not make orders correctly. I prefer this brand over Panera but I cant come here anymore. I have felt this way for about 5 visits. I keep giving them chances. Im done.

Always very friendly and are very good about telling me what comes on the different bagel sandwiches. Sandwiches are made fresh so there is a little bit of a wait but nothing more than 10 minutes.

Ever since they changed management the store has gone down hill. They didnt have sausage or lids for cups. I really like this place so Im hoping its a fluke

Bagels were good, customer service close to the worst I’ve ever seen. Guy behind the counter rushed us, didn’t let me finish ordering before saying, “I can help whose next” after tossing our bagels on the counter. I waited until he was done serving the next folks and when he said he could help who was next again I said, “I still need more bagels.” His attitude was rude, he grabbed me one more bagel and let it sit after it was toasted for a couple minutes before bagging it and tossing it at the register. At this point I didn’t even ask for the additional bagels we planned to get. Will not be returning.

Terrible service. The cashier was so sick she could barley speak witch wasnt good to have around food, and the other lady that was actually making our food gave dirty looks to everyone that walked in and claimed there was no more mushrooms because she didnt want to go and look in the back for them. Rude as can be and to top it off they forgot to put bacon on my sandwich witch I paired extra for. Awful. Wont be going back.

My father in law stops in at least once a week on our way into work. I could not tell you how many times he walks away shaking his head in disappointment. I personally do not know why he continues to stop in. Maybe out of hope. But the thing that discusts me is the attitude of the workers, and the line the food is made on... If you dont like your job find a new one dont greet customer with a nasty attitude first thing in the morning!!!How has the health department not paid a visit to this location? The line where the sandwiches are made is ALWAYS filthy and smeared with other customers toppings that fell off... I never see them wipe the line.. not that I would want them to with the dirty rags I see sitting around anyways. There isnt even a deli paper being used when making the sandwiches so my plain pretzel bagel was ran through someones cream cheese and other toppings on the line...

They are supposed to be open at 6am. I showed up at 645am and an employee tells me they are not open because they all just got there. Not the first time ive witnessed unprofessional behavior from the staff.

Bagel sandwich was tasty but they were out of most bagel flavors and the beverage counters and tables were very dirty.

The food is good and customer service is great. My dogs love the doggie bagels.

I was there to pick up two Baker dozen of bagels and 4 flavored smears to top the bagels to serve to my team to celebrate my last team meeting before my retirement from AT&T. I was served promptly and assisted with matching the bagels and smears.

Called at 6:30 am to get 2 dozen bagels for a 8:00am meeting. Done! Thank you for being so efficient and organized when Im not!

Einsteins is awesome place in general and i always go to the different locations around the city. But seems like the workers here at this location are kinda slow and dont know a lot of the information about the food they are preparing.

I think there has been new management here and it’s not very great. Employees are not very friendly to customers, they don’t put in any effort, food has been made sloppy, and my bagels are made wrong each time.

Ordered a dozen bagels, chicken caesar salad and eight coffees. The look on the cashiers face resembled someone who just had their dog die. Instead of wasting more of my time, Ill be short, this place is ran like a car thats never had its oil changed. With new management I believe this establishment could excel.

Service was slow and rude. I will not be back. Plus there was a pest control person walking behind counter at the busiest time of day which tells me they have big issues

I went here today for my birthday breakfast. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very nice, and we took our time ordering since it was our first time there. I got a plain bagel with strawberry schmere and my bf got a blueberry bagel with blueberry schmere. It was delcious! We both got the Vanilla Hazelnut latte, mine sugar free and skim milk of course, and loved it. It is reasonably priced, I just wish they had more breakfast items. I would definitely go back!

Said they were open till 3 got there at 1:30. Sign on the door said they close at 1.

A couple of the staff are consistently rude and unfriendly each time we come in. Instead of saying May I help you?, its yes? With no smile or a thank you. Its our last time going there.
