They were incredibly reasonable in price, worked with us on last minute changes and hire incredible employees. Everyone was nice, cleaned up after themselves and went above and beyond our needs. So happy we used them and will use them for more projects in the future!

Very impressed with our new fence. They showed up on time and did quality work. The price of the fence was also affordable. We found a few missed nails a few days after fence was installed and they came back and fixed them ASAP no questions asked which you don’t see with most companies. I’d definitely recommend them.

I initially had Guier do 2/3 of my fencing, and left the other 1/3 as at the time it was still ok. Now that its time to replace the 1/3, I cant get them to call me back. I was very happy with their initial work and it still looks great, but I guess someone else will have to replace my final 1/3 since I cant get ahold of anyone at Guier to even give me an estimate.

They never returned my phone call so I certainly could not recommend them to anyone.

I had them install a vinyl picket fence to replace m 19 year old wooden picket. They did a great job. The fence looks great. There was a small delay due to increased business and weather.

I called for an estimate, twice, I was transferred to someones mail box. I filled out the website estimate request, All with out a response. i went with a competitor. insurance claim, 10 grand for two days work? oh well

They are great at installing a quality fence but if you need anything after spending thousands of $$ with them, good luck. I have been trying to get them to just call us back on a fence repair and get it done since April. It is now almost SEPTEMBER ! If there was a rating zero stars thats what it would be. . Second post: i am waiting for my lawn company to respond as the damage will be paid by them. I am so sorry it took a negative review to get your company to respond.

I have done business with Guier Fence several times since at least 2003. I can count on this company to do an excellent job, usually. My last job in December 2019 I would rate as good. I would have rated the job as excellent except for the fact that the fence cuts were done mostly by chainsaw which did not lend a finished look to several of the cuts on the wood, especially the 2/4s. I will call Guier for my next fence project but we will have an understanding about careless usage of a chain saw to make wood cuts where a power saw should have been used. I would recommend Guier to anyone, just make sure you tell the workers your expectations of the finished product. Bill Polk

We just got a 6 foot fence in our back yard and the Guier fence crew did a great job! Joe did a great job explaining the fence process and giving us an estimate. He also checked back in with us throughout the process. The crews of Chris and Seth were such hard workers! They were professional and so good at what they do. The fence looks amazing and I would recommend this company and this crew.

Guier Fence was first class from start to finish. The service, installers and finished product could not have been better. My wife and I had a vague idea of what we wanted our horizontal fence to look like, but the attention to detail and time spent discussing options before and during the installation really made this a great experience. Tim and his crew did a great job on our fence. Excellent customer service. They had to work around a bunch of rain, and a wet and muddy yard, which they did without causing damage to the lawn. I would recommend Guier to anyone looking to put up a new fence!

I would like to consider this company but I cant get a call back.

I live on 9 acres and had Guier Fence install approx 1,200 ft of Copperwood round-rail fence, several hundred feet of aluminum fence with 5 gates and well over 1,000 feet of Welded wire fence and T posts. Everything was installed professionally, the clean up was great and they even made 2-3 return trips to adjust gates and secure any sections that moved due to shifting of the ground and some of the wood materials warping a bit.They were very courteous and timely in responsive to my calls and requests for support. I am very pleased. Enough so they were my first recommendation to a friend. Great company to work with.

I hired Guier fence to install the fence in my back yard, they did a wonderful job and everything looks great. They kept me informed every day with the progress and called to ask me how I preferred things every time there was an option to do it a different way.

16 years ago Guier Fence installed a fence for us. In that time we may have hammered a few nails in but we never had to replace boards or gates even to sell because it held up so well. We recently sold that house and Im just waiting for 7:30am so I can call to have them help us with a fence at our new home. I know the quality of their work. I will write a new review after we get this new work finished.

I have no doubt that the quality of work and the product from Guier is the best in KC. That being said, they dont want your business if your job is small or will cost under 5 figures. Ive been brushed off twice now at two different properties. Was told to look elsewhere to have new double gates installed and that they are booked until September anyway (which wouldve been okay with me.) This is sad because I think they do good work. I have the money and couldve probably written a check on the spot for the service but they apparently dont want my money. I will never recommend or call them again.

Left a message for an estimate. Someone returned my call and then put me into someones voice mail. I called them back to let her know shed placed me in a voice mail and she said she meant to send me to someone else but that person was busy now. Never heard back from them. Kind of odd.

Installed a wood fence, 6ft. Had a bad storm couple weeks ago, needed to pull posts due to blowing over. It is a known fact a 6ft fence needs 2 foot of concrete. 3 of 20 (35 total posts) posts needing replaced have been pulled so far.... they are not even a full foot in the ground. $5k of horrible work. Do not use!!!!

On April 15, 2019 Joe Beard came out & gave the homeowner a quote & gave a deposit; Joe said it would be about 5 weeks for the job to be done; the homeowner where I live chose to use Guier & today May 17, 2019 two workers came out at almost noon after Tim telling me at 8:30 a.m. it would only be about a 1/2 hour for a small job he had to do & then they would be here; at 11:15 a.m. I called to find out what was going on; he says he is on the way; he & his co-worker finally showed up at almost 1 p.m. & started talking to the homeowner out front & as soon as I walked out there they left him standing there & Tim assured me they would have the job done today. The homeowner & I had our cars in the driveway so I moved both of them so they would be closer to the work area.It took several hours for them to remove old fence & put up some fence with a 60 gate & fence on the other side of the gate & small area on the other side of the house with fence only. By 6 p.m. they had put up the fence with the gate but the fence was not level on the sides of the gate & I asked about that & he said they would level it; they go to the other side of the house & work on that fence & I had to leave for a few minutes & when I got back the gate was up & was crooked & the fence sides were not level & I said I was not signing off on the job & Tim said if youre not satisfied you can call the office on Monday & speak to Mr. Crandall to complain; I said the homeowner would definitely do that & walked in the door.I have never been so appalled by a worker on a job in my life.Would not recommend this company to anyone for their fencing needs.

Visited your store on fri 5/8/15 Around noon. Was in store 15 minutes plus, 2 women were behind counter, a man was at computer at desk in fence area. WE were in your place of business to buy fence. Our presence was not in any way acknowledged by anyone! Will never consider your company again.I called on your company early on when you started in business. My friend (dont have a computer) used Geir Fence. Very disappointed!Said he should have went with Vans Fence like he did the 1st time. Geir Fence had lousy wood. Split and rotted. Uneven on the bottom. Gaps high enough the neighbors dog can get through. The supervisor came by and said Well what do you want me to do about it? Then suggested to put a board along the bottom of the fence. Then brought in dirt to fill in the gaps. He will never use them again.

The salesman doesnt seem to care about selling.

I have nothing but GOOD things to say about Guier Fence. We have had 7 different fencing projects done by them over the years, and have always had great service. Our latest project involved moving some fencing and taking out some old fencing, and Joe, our salesperson, went over and above in arranging the project and making sure it all went smoothly. The two technicians who came out to install were very knowledgeable in their craft and made sure through the whole process that we were happy with the progress... We also received a follow-up phone call from Joe, after completion, to make sure that everything went the way we wanted. I really felt like they cared about our project and I would not hesitate to call them again, for our 8th fencing project!!!

I am very impressed by the professionalism and immediate attention I recieved from Cory and his management team. A company this responsive and professional to a review sets the standard that other companies should emulate.

We had a great experience through the whole process-from getting an estimate, to install and follow up afterwards. When there were delays because of weather, they communicated with us. The fence looks great!

Customer service for the company is severely lacking, communication is rare. Waited a long time to find out when we would get our fence, and many, many different dates. The men who arrived today to start the job, Steve and Tom, made all the difference. They were friendly, informative, professional and worked their butts off. I give them 5 stars. I know they are not finished, but from what I have witnessed so far, I am impressed with these two.Thank you Steven and Tom!

They did a privacy fence for my neighbor and left the old concrete for the old fence post. I couldnt mow in this area until I broke it all up and hauled it away. I told them about this and they promised to return and take care of it. Thanks for nothing guys, I wont be recommending you.

Good prices for contractors usually have what we need for our customers

I contacted Guier Fence the beginning of Dec 2015 and was promised to be out to my home few days before Christmas to give an estimate on fencing my yard. I received several excuses why they did not come out and then they stopped returning my emails. I had to go into the store in April and I did not even get an apology. I was told they will be out on 4/12/16 to measure and then will call me later that day to give me the price. I was called that morning because they did not bring the fencing information and I never received a call. I had to call them. Still no apology. Do Not Trust this company. They make promises they can not keep.

I would not recommend Guier Fence. The fence material itself is not that great, considering how much Guier charges. It can be bought elsewhere for less than half the cost. Scheduling with Guier fence is a joke, there is not other way to put it. Getting someone to call back is impossible. We have had our fence for over 2 1/2 yrs and the gates still do not close without lifting up on them. We are again waiting for a call back from the warranty department and have been waiting for over a month. Every time I call I am only able to leave a voice message -- which I never hear back from anyone. The anchor posts for the gate were not installed right and only sunk into the ground less than 2 feet, hence why the gates are dropping....Im a woman and I can see the problem but Guier fence cant.07-05-2018Yes there were various conversations. But nothing has changed the gates still do not close or open without lifting up on the gate. So fence buyers beware what Guier has deemed a resolution is not, we understood the Guier fence technician would be checking back to make sure the gates were closing properly. Of course we never heard a peep when I called and asked for that person I was told he was no longer employed there. That was the third time that has happened.Sorry Mr. Crandall, there was no satisfactory resolution for me. Unfortunately I am still stuck with gates that dont work and out several thousand dollars with a warranty that is useless.........I do not recommend Guier fence ever and always tell anyone who asks the issues with Guier fence.

I called today at approximately 3:00 pm to set up an appointment for an estimate on my fencing. I was put into a voice mail in which I left 2 phone numbers to be reached at. I have not received a call back yet. If I do not get one tomorrow, I will take my business elsewhere and will not recommend them to anyone.

The only reason Im giving 1 STAR is because you have to in order to submit your review. Called Guier Fence Co. after seeing a billboard on 70E a representative took my name and number and said the sales person in my area would call me. It took about 2 days for him to return the call (which I missed) and then we played phone tag for another day or so. Set up an appointment with Mark for 3:30 on a Wednesday afternoon, which I had to not only leave work early to make the appointment, but I missed out overtime as well. Waited for over an hour and half and no one showed up nor called to say he wasnt. That to me is very unprofessional not to mention inconsiderate. My time and money is just as valuable is the sales person who didnt show up. So yes I will call and give my business to someone who truly wants and will appreciate it.

I went to Guier Fence to get an estimate on a porch railing today and was completely ignored by the sales person. He stood and joked around with another customer for over 15 minutes while not even acknowledging my presence. Just a, wait a moment, or Ill be with you shortly, would have sufficed. A very bizarre and aggrevating experience.So thank you to Roy and Son in Lees Summit who will be installing my new porch railing soon.

I am very disappointed with my Guier Fence.My fence posts are pulling out of the ground, and it appears that the post holes were not dug deep enough, and there are posts that were not cemented into the ground. The fence is bending backwards from the weight of the fence, and is in danger of toppling over.I am in the process of selling my home, and need the fence fixed ASAP!I called Guier Fence about having someone take a look at the situation, but was told that there is nobody that can service my fence because both service men are no longer working at Guier!

I was promised that their supervisor would give me a call, but I still have not heard anything in SEVERAL weeks. Terrible customer service! We will be taking our money elsewhere...

I have never been as disappointed in my experience with a professional company in my entire life.Let me explain my journey. I called there company to get a quote and sales Representative Nate came to my house to bid me quote. I signed and agreeed to there terms of putting my hard earned money down as Ernest money. I was promised my fence would be put up within 6 to 12 weeks of agreement.I received no follow up through why my fence wasnt underway after the 12 weeks. So I called my sales guy and he never returned my calls or emails and this went on for over a week. Frustrated, so I call there shop and Im told they are backed up and that Im on the list to be helped! After complaining to them Nate calls me to tell me that he was sorry the business is hurting right now and that they are behind and he promised to continue to follow up. So I said OK. Several weeks go by nothing no follow up.So finally the crew shows up to start my fence and then they come up to the house to ask me where my fence is going!! So I said is that my job to know!!! Cody apologies to me and said he will call Nate. Cody said that sometimes the sales guys forget to flag the yard and spray paint where the fence is going. Cody was extremely professional and I felt he had my back through the process to figure out best next steps!Nate calls me and says he will be up the next day and then start construction. I am extremely upset with this process. So I call the shop and I tell them that they are breaching my contract and Im going to be seeking outside counsel to take care of this mess. 10 mins after my conversation with home office in Blue springs Nate calls. Says he is 10 mins away and wants to fix this comes over and we talk about the fence. He missed measured my fence by alot . it comes down in price due to less fence. He then goes out and sprays my fence and ask me which way I want gates to open I said inward he said no problem.So my fence goes up and I walk around my fence to look at the work its great except one gate did not open all the way due to a slope in my yard. So I call Nate says oh thats an easy fix just go out there and dig around the area and it should open. I said excuse me Im paying you guys and you should have tested my gates your suppose to be the professional.So he says it will take 3 to 7 days to fix it. He fixes and switches the direction of gate which Im on with.So I talked to Nate when I was at a funeral in Chicago and I asked Im if I could pay credit card he said that he would charge me 2.7% inconvince fee! INCONFINCE FEE!!!! WOW. So then I asked if I could pay him when I get back he says normally we get money when job is done then I told him that there is no way I can drive down there to do that. Then Nate made it sound like he was doing me a favor to except my check when I get back. Them asked me to write a review! So he said he would drive to my house to pick up the check to make up for all the trouble I went through. So I called him on Thursday to confirm that he was still coming up he said yes between Noon and 5 pm said perfect. He calls me that night @ 7pm to inform me he wasnt making it.He tells me to drove the check onto the office that they will know what to do.So I drive up to there location on my break to pay my dues. I am greeted by Carl from the back. I went to give her my check and she said I owed the original amount. I said excuse me. Nate told me that this was the price and we agreed to that amount several weeks ago!!Super unprofessional to have my businesses done right in the middle of the showroom. Never took me to an office and I had to reshare this story with them !!I receive a call from there GM Corey Crandall. To ask me the same questions and asked for my referrals of friends and famiky . But what did you do for me to make things better ?? No discounts of any kind for my trouble. I never asked for one either but the kindness to make the offer would have been good enough!!So before buying a Fence read this at this point I would never recommend them. Do a lot of research!

I watched the KCTV5 surprise squad story last night and was moved by how the owner of the Guier Fence helped someone in need by donating a new fence to a family in need! I currently have a Guier Fence and will use them in the future if we ever move and need a new one!

Phoned three times over a four day period to attempt to get a repair scheduled. No one even returned a call. Customer Non-Service is a descriptive term for Guier.

I would not use this company. Ive called twice to get an estimate & the receptionist always forwards me to a guy named Kevin who does not answer his phone nor does he return calls.

Went to their website to request an estimate/quote, never heard anything back. Guess my job was too small to bother with.

Hung up on me before I even had a chance to comment on the opportunity to pay the $175+ fee for a quote on a damaged fence. Not very customer oriented for a fence they installed a couple years ago.
