Spoke with a gentleman by the name of Corey he was very knowledgeable about firearms and very helpful. He answered several questions that I had concerns about. Also have a great gunsmith on site thats also very knowledgeable by firearms. Great job!

Great place to shoot. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Not the biggest selection in KC but willing to order in whatever you need. They also have a large rental selection available.

This place is the best gun store Ive been to, so far. Moved from Illinois last year. Everything was super clean and the staff were highly educated and more than willing to help with whatever amateur question I had. They had 50 ct 9mm handgun ammo when no one else in the area had any and I paid half the money I did for the 2 boxes of 20ct 9mm Ive bought previously elsewhere!! Gun prices are about $25 less than most other places Ive been to as well! Ive got a couple other stores I want to try out before I make this store my home store but Target Time is definitely going to be hard to compete with! Oh they also have a range for those who dont have access to some prime farmland in the middle of nowhere 🤘10 out of 10 highly recommend 👌 👏 👍

I read a bunch of the reviews and I find it funny how the bad ones come from employees at a competition store. That’s classy guys.Must be jealousy.I absolutely love this shop. From the great staff, well maintained range, lots of ammo (when most places have none.) Fully stocked everything. And when they didn’t have a specific firearm my husband wanted, they helped us find it and get it. My husband compared the price to what he could get it for online and they were not walking away with a big profit. Even the bathrooms are clean, with a shelf for your gun while you pee. Seriously they thought of that.The absolute best part of this place is hands down Wednesday. The shop cat. I have stopped in just to see her while the hubs shops. (She has her own Insta, just so you know!) anyway. Skip the reviews walk in and judge for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Everything you need, right here in Blue Springs.

Im overdue on leaving a review but wanted to share that my service here was fantastic. I dont come from a gun friendly background but wanted something for personal protection and was shopping solo.  Corey listened attentively, told me what we should rule out and what could be addressed with proper training. He helped me figure out what would be the right fit, and let me hold about 15 different models. After a weeks worth of my own research, I came back for visit #2 and ended up with what his #1 recommendation was. Couldnt be happier and more comfortable with my decision (Glock 48).

This is my main place to go shoot. I have a membership, which was paid for after about 10 trips. I highly recommend it.The place is very clean, cleaner than their local competition. The air handeling system keeps the range very clean. Derick, Dalton and the rest of the crew are very helpful.It is not the ultra fancy guntry club format, just a dealer, gunsmith (separate), and range. The prices are very afforadable, about $13 to use the range per person.

I went in with the intent of purchasing something. I was stopped and threatened by an employee to be shot if I used my sweatshirt as a mask (i tried to do this because he made a very snarky comment about me forgetting a mask). Employees said some very snarky things and seemed to be very egotistical.Went to get mask and returned to find the employee who told us we would be shot for using a sweatshirt as a mask helping a customer who wasn’t wearing a mask at all. The 2nd time we went in there was 4 employees behind the counter and not a single one asked if we needed help. To top things off they sell reloads for more than competitor stores sell fresh ammo! I wouldn’t recommend this store to any one and they sure won’t be getting any of my business.

Not sure where the good reviews come from, I have been in this place 3 times in the past month and customer service is non-existent. Everyone seems nice, but one guy working on a sale and 2 others just ignoring everyone. Only 1 customer in store other than me and could not get anyone to help me. Stood around for 15 minutes after asking for help each time then left.... worst place in town in my opinion. I was prepared to spend a few K there...not anymore. Ill drive to Independence to CR Sales on Noland.....always exceptional service there.

First off, let me start by saying that I have held off on writing this review for quite some time now. Despite my better judgement, I have given Target Time numerous chances to redeem themselves. However, my experience today has pushed me over the line and at this point, this review is necessary. Close to two years ago, when doing one of my first transactions with Target Time, I could not have been more pleased. The employees started and finished a transaction for me all within fifteen minutes of closing. Since then, something drastic has happened to their customer service. This has been most notable in my last two trips there but can also be seen through their attitude on Facebook, as well as in responses to other bad reviews (Im sure its coming for this one too). The first of my two most recent trips I went with a family member to buy ammo. While I personally am not of age to buy handgun ammo (19) my family member was. In an effort to try and save the employee some extra work, when taking information from my family member, I offered to give them my account information instead. I am a return customer after all. To this I got a response of How old are you ? followed by You cant even touch ammo! both of which were very rude. Especially considering I was just trying to help out. Beyond that, the statement was blatantly false. A 19 year old can buy both shotgun and rifle ammunition in Missouri, just not handgun. While this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, it was not enough to turn me away for good. That one came today. In short, me and another relative of mine (both of us younger) came in looking for some potential purchases for him. Unfortunately, my cousin forgot his mask (I know bad on him). When we saw other store customers and employees not wearing masks, we figured he could go without one for the time being and try to find one inside. Once past the yellow lines we were approached by one of the employees who was wearing a mask. He asked us to put ours on which I did immediately. My relative asked if there were any extras he could wear. To this he was told no and that at this point he should know better than to travel anywhere without one. Very rude. After that, he asked if he could pull his shirt over his nose and mouth for the time being. To this he recieved the threat of not unless you want every gun in this store pointed at you! we left in an effort to find a mask. Less then an hour later we returned, this time both wearing a mask. We saw two employees without masks, and three customers without masks. Two of which were being helped by the very employee that threatened us and sent us away! I am not sure if these recent encounters are due to the fact that we are younger and they think they can push us around easier or not. However, if that is the case Target Time needs to keep one thing in mind. Second amendment advocates are the minority of people our age and if they care about keeping the Second amendment around they need to respect and help those in our age group. For us, we wont be back. Frontier Justice will be the go to local gun store for us from now on.

The customer service here was impeccable. They had very knowledgeable employees who found a gun that checked all of our boxes AND a cute store kitty. I highly recommend!(:

Great place. I went there yesterday. The staff was polite and the range was clean and well lit. Reasonable price per hour. The main reason I like this place is because they allow steel case ammunition! That is a big plus because I use it in my AK. Will definitely shoot here again.

I cant say enough good things about Target Time. Ive been there twice and have dealt with three different employees who have all been incredibly customer service focused and kind. They understand not everyone coming in there has the same knowledge base, so they listen to the customer, assess their understanding of firearms, and without insulting your intelligence assist you with everything you need. I was interested in finding a stripped lower, so I Googled several shops in my area (Independence), but ultimately decided I wanted to do business with Target Time because of their fantastic customer service. My wife was looking at some self defense keychains during the process and the associate gladly took his time to explain the product to her. The range rates are a flat rate and likely the best value in the area as well. This is the kind of store that makes you want to drive out of your way a bit just to support a business that truly cares about its customers.

Took my 13 year old daughter today, first time at an indoor range for her. Staff was professional and very friendly. We watched the mandatory video the range master asked if we had questions then he left us alone. He did sneak a peak to check on us. He said my daughter did a great job following the rules. Highly recommend.

This is a great place to go shoot, its staffed by guys who know guns and love to shoot. I took my son so he could get comfortable with the sound and recoil of the 30-30 before deer season, the staff made sure he understood how to use the range safely and were super friendly. After breaking in the 30-30 we rented a couple different guns for fun and had a great time - if youre looking for some good father son time head to the range..... oh and my boy bagged his first buck, a heavy 12 point.

My fiance showed me this place and ever since it has been my favorite range to go to. We normally go here for family shooting. The staff is spot on with answering any questions we have and are always right there ready to help. The range fees are reasonable and the people in the range shooting are normally friendly. Ive never had any issues with anyone while shooting here like Ive had at other ranges. *Had my ammo stolen at another range before* last time I went another group was in the first room, I started shooting my mini 14 and they looked at what I was shooting, not five min later they started shooting, I dont even remember what gun, but some loud handgun I couldnt help but look over and watch. Ive gotten pointers from older shooters as well. Pretty much all Im saying is Ive never had a bad experience here. Recommend to all my friends

This place is great. I went in with an idea of a few pistols to look at and the employees allowed me to look and feel out them out. They pointed me in the direction of some other potential pistols after I told them what I was looking for, helped me narrow down my options, and then got me signed up to rent them out at the range.We repeated that process until I had the right pistol for me and theyve been helpful with any questions ever since. Ill certainly be a repeat customer. The range itself is clean, well lit, well ventilated, and a comfortable temperature. Each employee is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Plus, they have a lot of rental range gun options. What more would you want?

I was looking for a specific type of ammo and called Target time. The woman that I spoke with said they carried it and I could come in and buy it. We drive over there and wait in line for about 15 min. I see a sign on the door saying they are not selling 9mm ammo unless you purchase a firearm or go to the range. I call them again and tell them I saw the sign on the door and the guy said there was a misunderstanding with the woman I had spoke to and they would honor the purchase it was no problem. When it is my turn to come in the store the guy who comes to the door asks what I’m there to buy. I told him 9mm ammo he said NOPE. I explain that I spoke to two people and they are allowing me to buy it. He says NOT HAPPENING. I said why would two people tell me I could buy it then and have me wait for 30 min outside? He said I don’t care. You’re not buying it. The guy I talked on the phone to comes and tells him that he approved my purchase. The man gets furious and tells him he can sell me one box and that’s it. He even took his mask off and was yelling in my face. Turns out, he was the owner. I decided not to buy his offering of one box and spend my money elsewhere. Target time will never see a dime of our families money and I hope others will consider who they give their money to during these times. Frontier Justice has never treated me this way. Spend your money with them.

Do not buy anything from this place. They refused service to my mother who can not wear a mask due to health and breathing problems. This place is a joke.. I will make sure I share this with everyone single person i know. How they treat people.

Had an excellent experience here. The staff was very courteous and helpful when I brought friends from out of town. This place is run very well and the service is excellent. Derek helped us out so much, gave us a good knowledge about the firearms they had for rent and helped us have an enjoyable time.

I called Target Time to see if they were selling any 9mm ammo. The guy who answered the phone ( who was very short with me and rude)said they have plenty of 9mm ammo and there is absolutely no need to place any on hold. I drive across town 30 minutes away and they said they sold out within 30 minutes. Very disappointed.

PRICE GOUGING at its finest. Attempting to sell 3 black Ak-47s for $723 a piece. Century arms on their website sells them for $550. Aks look like they’ve been shot as well, very dirty. WOULD’NT RECOMMEND PURCHASING A FIREARM FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Unless of course you like over paying by about $173. Pathetic

Finally got a chance to really checking things out.First off, staff is extremely helpful and eager to help. Being recent newbies to the hobby any help is appreciated.Second, the range was pretty awesome. The ventilation is top notch. For a Thursday night it wasnt crowded and my wife and I easily got in.Lastly, the prices seem pretty much on the mark. Im willing to pay a bit more for better range and control. We will definitely be returning customers.

Theyre gunsmith Gene took in 2 rifles from us in January... Didnt make the repairs and wont return our property or phone calls or messages. The virus isnt an excuse for withholding peoples property

I went there initially because I bought a suppressor and they were the closest location to my home. I went through the entire process on their kiosk in the store, they were very helpful and made sure I made it through it without any mistakes. Ive been there 4 times during the waiting process and every time Ive been, everyone was extremely helpful and very pleasant and friendly. The range wasnt anything flashy like digital keypads for yardages etc but it functions perfectly well and is very clean, my wife and I shot for $32 (range admission and 5 targets) for two hours, though our time was unlimited for that price, so they are so much cheaper than most ranges weve been to. Piece of advice, watch the required short video on their website to skip it when you go the first time. Their prices are very reasonable comparatively and, they have an enormous selection of gear and weapons, everyone in the place is very friendly and they make you feel at home if youre new or skiddish about shooting in front of others. I will definitely go back and do all of my business with them with anything regarding weapons. Excellent gun store!

Update your store hours online if you are going to have weird hours. Drove 30 min to find out they are not open on Wednesday.

Im a very picky person but Target Time gets it right ALL the time. The staff are the best. The place is always clean. The price is right. Most importantly they always remind me to get my id before leaving.

First, let me say that Im probably a sales persons worst nightmare.I want to touch everything, ask a ton of questions, interject opinions right and left, and commit to nothing easily.I came in pretty early on a Wednesday. A little busy, but I was greeted promptly.I went through my usual routine and said Id speak up if I needed anything.To summarize, up to, and after returning from having lunch, I was assisted by four very professional and knowledgeable persons.Id probably handled a dozen guns, but not once felt pressured to buy, nor sensed annoyance.Perfect.The facility is clean and well lit, not cramped, and the range seems adequately insulated.I can see myself as a future customer.I left with a fairly expensive item, and did save a few bucks over the local competition.The chit for free range time is a bonus.If you havent been, I recommend a look. Good stuff.

The range is always clean, well ventilated and supervised by friendly staff. Full auto Fridays is awesome, half off auto rentals! This really is the best place in the area which is why I go multiple times a week.

I had a great time with renting some of the guns and practicing how to shoot them. staff were friendly, patient, and informative about types of gun and ammo. I went on ladies days which is Thursdays. renting range lanes are free for ladies; you just have to pay for your own ammo and gun if renting. clean facilities and a lot of opportunities for learning about gun usage through classes they offer.

My Dad Is Crazy, But It Was Fun

Decided to give the indoor range a chance. Normally I refuse to go to indoor ranges, mostly because of ventilation. Ill get the most absolutely horrible headache from poor ventilation. BUT I shot for an hour and Im impressed with how GREAT the ventilation is! Plus the range is well taken care of! Staff is friendly and just a great overall atmosphere. Another bonus to the range thatll bring me back is they allow you to rapid fire as long as its controlled and safe! Most indoor and some outdoor ranges do not allow rapid fire. Great range, great prices 👍Will definitely be back!

I must have timed it just right because I had the range all to myself. The place was clean, the targets are easy to adjust for distance, and the folks working there were nice. The prices are decent-I wasn’t looking to buy anything just walked around looking at prices. I’ll definitely be back.**UPDATE**Definitely busier on weekends, but i was still able to get right in. Still a 5-star experience.

Ive shot there a few times with friends.Went in just to browse the other day and the super friendly staff were happy to let me look at anything I wanted. Other than a joke or two, they didnt try to hard to steer me into a purchase... Theres popcorn and coffee for free and thats a nice comfort.The range is loud and if full can be a tight fit. The electronic target system is nice and easy to understand.Overall, the selection is large, prices are fair and the people are friendly. I would like to see this place stick around.

I work with a retired Ranger and Sheriff and he recommended these folks highly. I showed up and was very impressed with the low pressure knowledgeable sales staff. The ladies will teach the rights and wrongs faster than a pit bull and do it with tact. Very professional. Bought my first AR and went top of the line. They didnt sell me a pretty race Gun which they had, I got a work horse and had more help learning the ins and outs safely. Couple free shirts, free range time and instruction. gun mis fed twice, they upgraded my mag and threw in a free box of ammo all because I was running a dry gun. Very impressed. State of the art range with long hours and $15 for all day? Wow! Found a new home to run my 20 plus guns with great ammo prices. Bringing the wife on dates and training the twin 9yr old boys here when the time comes. Ive been to bad ranges a lot and Im done.

The staff at Target Time are very well trained, friendly, safe, and helpful. The store is impeccably clean, easy to navigate, and well lit. The shooting range is clean and well ventilated. The prices are very competitive and always seem to be less than F.J. out towards Lees Summit. Great experience. Get with Ray the Gold man...great purchase experience with him.

I went there and took my father. The over all place is really nice the shooting lanes are great. The firearms are decently priced. My only complaints is that we stood there waiting and waiting for one of the staff members to acknowledge that we were there. They werent overly busy I feel they should have a staff member greet you at the door to answer any questions and lead you to what you need. And lastly the one year memberships are costly.

Go there quite often. Excellent staff with no opinion, including the owner. Shooting range is great. Sales displays are organized in way to easily see and understand.

Im pretty impressed with Target Time Defense. This is a relatively new range and store located in Blue Springs. They have a really nice selection. The staff I met were fabulous. Im looking forward to spending a lot more time here.

Went in when they seemed fairly busy. Their selection of guns and accessories was pretty good. We had not been there before so we were asked to watch a video and fill out a waiver, which is normal protocol so we completed that. Then we come back up to 3 empty registers, worker 1 tries to help us on one register and it’s locked up or something. He takes us to the first register and worker 2 there says he is waiting on others to finish their video and can’t help us. Worker 1 asks him to put that one on hold and help us and worker 2 says “it’s literally going to be one minute.” So we cannot be helped because someone else is watching a safety video that we have already watched. So we stand there for a few minutes staring at 3 empty registers and no one will help us. So we left and went to Crossfire. I probably won’t be back. It may be a computer issue, but why should I continue to wait for people watching a video I already watched while 3 registers are empty, seems like dumb business.

People there were extremely disrespectful I dont recommend it

I visited over the summer for the first time. I am new to the whole gun concept, so I was not sure what to expect. This was the second shooting range I had ever been to. I was a bit surprised we had to watch a safety video first - apparently because it was our first time (so be prepared if its your first time). Everything went smoothly; my only complaint is I dont feel any sense of privacy when at the range. You are literally right there upon everyone else in the range. You use the same table and everything to lay your stuff. Its just not perfect for someone learning how to shoot. Id rather not have people watch!!

THe range is great, the staff are warm, welcoming, and professional without being overbearing like some other ranges which shall remain nameless right Lake City? Just beware of the on site gunsmith, I brought Gene a rifle last december for some pretty routine work....last time I ever saw it! So caveat emptor!

A bit pricey for just using as target practice compared to several other venues in the general area, but the facility is in excellent repair and the staff are friendly and seem well-versed in the knowledge of their products.

Stopped here on Sunday to check out the selection of pistols and, as always, we werent disappointed. I ended up putting a Smith and Wesson SD9 VE on layaway and my husband did the same with a Glock 19. I went back the next day to pay mine off and take it home, you get a free range pass with the purchase of a new firearm, the staff was helpful and polite as always. This is the first firearm Ive purchased from Target Time Defense and I can promise it wont be the last. Thank you to Greg and Ray for all the superior customer service you provided my husband and myself, also to Bill for the chat while Ray got my paperwork in order Monday.

Target Time is the best place in town to buy a gun or shoot. I have shopped all over town to find Target Time has the best prices in town!!! If you havent been there, make it a point to check it out. You will stop shopping elsewhere.

So I attended a ladies only gun class here on a Saturday - taught by Rick. My husband got me the class for Christmas and can I say I was not exactly thrilled - though I want to learn more about guns I didnt think it was the most romantic present. And though I come from a family of gun enthusiasts from Shawnee KS (where I am pretty sure the Nigros come from too ;) I myself am kind of timid around guns, even though Ive grown up around them, Im a little scared of them too.I was afraid I would be kind of bored in the class but was pleasantly surprised that it was very educational and well worth the time and money. Rick, the instructor, maintained the delicate balance between having the proper respect for the subject matter, while keeping the room full of us ladies interested yet at ease. The time really seemed to go by pretty fast but I feel like I learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this class for any female out there who would like to learn more about how to handle firearms, it was truly money and time well spent. As for Target Time itself, as far as I could tell its a pretty classy operation they have going on there, it was clean and well laid out, and the owner made it a point to ask us how we liked the class and thanked us for attending. So five stars from me which is pretty good, considering I am not a huge fan of firearms to begin with :)

The dude with the long hair is super friendly, love this range, lots of accessories and stuff here too, if youre gonna shoot and you have your own gun, itll be like 45 bucks, well worth the price, we drive out of our way to come here.

TTD has a great staff that are always friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are pretty good and they have incredible sale prices. The range is well lit and clean. T.J. (the owner) is always around to help and truly cares about his customers.

Went in while I was shopping around town for the best deal. Dont come here if you plan on bargaining. The staff was very professional and nice, when I asked if they would come down a little on the price he said probably not and went and got the owner for me anyway.All I wanted was a simple yes or no. Instead she began to patronize and lecture me about her businesses overhead and talk down to me like a child with a very snobby demeanor.Another time I came in midday to get a gun case and holster and this same woman (the owner) thought it best to act like she would check me out while the rest of here staff was busy, but instead she just talked to me and started counting the money in the drawer until her employees werent busy rather than just helping me checkout.If you want a good price on gun go somewhere else nearby in Blue Springs or Independence, this is THE most expensive place you can go.One of the most disrespectful owners of a business I have ever met, if that is how she treats customers I am not surprised her overhead is such a problem.

Will not go back. Came in on a Sunday morning early with my 2 sons. We were there to use the range which would seem fairly obvious since we had our ammo and pistol boxes in hand. We went to a line with a older gentlemen with white hair and a beard with another gentlemen next to him a little shorter with a fill beard. While we were waiting other people were coming in to do the same thing. We were ignored while other people seem to be getting help---also first time range shooters as we were. The shorter gentlemen with a beard looked right at us a couple times and completely ignored us and then went to help someone else who came in way after us. After that we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Horrible customer service. Have never been treated like that at any other range in town.

I have been involved in the shooting sports for more then 30 years and have visited and/or shot at most, if not all, private and public ranges in the Kansas City area. Since their grand opening, I have visited Target Time Defense now a dozen times, purchsed a firearm, and shot at the range. Here are my impressions.The Staff:I am pretty sure I have interacted with all but a few members of the staff. The minute you walk in the door, either someone is there to greet you or a member of the staff lets you know someone will be with you shortly. I have found everyone that I have interacted with to be professional, knowledgeable, honest and just pleasant to deal with.The Staff also includes a gunsmith who was able to make some quick adjustments to a friends pistol before our range time.The Range:I appreciate the fact that before using the range you have to watch the National Shooting Sports Foundation range safety guidelines!Theres not to much to say about the ranges themselves, theyre new and modern and allow for the use of tactical rifles. Of the three range officers I have interacted with, I felt confident that I was shooting in a safe environment. I have also seen them offer advice and interact with new shooters. As my daughter has taken a recent interest in firearms, I have recommended she shoot here.Training:They do offer Concealed Carry and Firearms training. My daughter and I took the concealed course. The class was extremely thorough and taught by an instructor with over 10 years experience in three different states. Although Ive had some advanced firearms training, I have agreed to take the pistol courses with my daughter and Im looking forward the experience.Overall Impression:TTD has a tactical leaning, defense is in the name, and for that style of shooting or firearms training, I highly recommend them. This is likely my new gun shop and indoor range.

Wont be coming back here. Took two months for my dad to finally get the right magazine after ordering it through them. Was told we could only buy 100 rounds of .22 per day, and they wouldnt even sell it to me as Im under 21. The legal age to buy .22 is 18, and Ive bought from them before. I guarantee I wont be returning.

Went in last Monday and bought a new pistol. I got there at 4pm and by the time the process was all done it was about 5:10pm. One of the employees told me since I purchased a gun from them i could use the range for free but it had to be right then. I had to be at work at 6pm and i will not shoot any gun I buy until i have cleaned all the factory grease out and lubed it. I told them I had to be at work at 6 and asked if I could come back Tuesday to shoot instead and I was told no it had to be right then. I dropped over $500 in your store that day and have bought another $100 worth of stuff there in the prior weeks and you couldnt let me come back in 24 hours for my free range trip?!?. All of your competitors that have ranges give you a card to use at a later date. Needless to say I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

Brand new building, tons of weapons to choose from... but no air conditioning in the range area!! Very hot and humid in there. If you like to experience what its like to shoot down south, in the middle of the summer, this is the place for you.

Over priced on range ammo and guns. Theres a free range north of there . ammo is overpriced by 4 dollars a box and most the guns are overpriced by 75 to 300 dollars recommend you go elsewhere.

While in town for family visit, we were told of this shooting range and training center. Never ones to pass on an opportunity to shoot, we had to check into TARGET TIME DEFENSE. You will not find a wider selection of handguns and long guns together with all manner of accessories so close to the community.
