Our recent visit to Booneshine was delightful. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and we’re all wearing masks. We each tried two different beers and they were all delicious. We didn’t have an a full meal but all of the food that passed us while we were there looked and smelt awesome.
The experience here was awesome! All of our servers were incredibly friendly and super helpful, everybody working here was in a good mood, I ordered the meat flatbread and it was rich and full of flavor and there wasnt anything I would have changed about it, it was really delicious. The location is really cool too and theres usually food trucks sitting out in front as well as lots of outdoor seating, there arent a whole lot of dark beer options if any.
This place was recommended to us, so we decided to drive 2 hours from Charlotte to give it a try. We were extremely happy we did! The food, the service, the beer, and the ambiance were all amazing! From the food truck and beer outside, with all the picnic tables, to the inside were all run extremely well. We had 3 apps... pretzel with beer cheese, roasted brussels sprouts with a 3 pepper relish and candied bacon, and fried shrimp with a tomato jam! All were super delicious but the sprouts were AMAZING! We had a Mango Gose and a Tropical Ale, with orange mango and papaya! Then we had burgers made from a local beef from 12 miles away. Our server told us that... and she was very helpful and knowledgeable. Ann was her name I believe. All in all, it was a great experience, and we are looking forward to our next visit! Way to go Booneshine Brewery! A+ from us!
Amazing experience!Food and drinks were awesome. Our chicken quesadilla came out with a few slices chicken-less and while we assured our waitress it was fine and we were still happy with it, they brought us out a slice of cheesecake! Definitely unexpected but very kind! We will be returning the next time we find ourselves this way!
I came here to eat and eat I did. I had the Booneshine Burger with the Beer Cheese on it and it was positively delicious. I was told that the tacos were tasty, but I did not try them myself. They offer a uniquely flavored ginger hibiscus soda for non-alcohol drinkers like me that was excellent. The decorum has a warm but modern industrial quality about it similar to Chipotle, but in a Western North Carolina style. The noise level was reasonable for a place with so many hard surfaces and we could hear each other speaking. The place appeared to be clean. The server who brought us our food and drink was outstanding, even by North Carolina standards which are the best Ive seen any place I have traveled. There appears to be a pretty creative culture at this place and you can taste it in the food and drink. If you are in the Boone area, I recommend trying it out.
We live in East Boone and this was our first visit surprisingly its the first place we come to as we head into town. Outside there is a nice open area that kind of has its own vibe going on with the band and beer service and a food truck picnic tables and chairs and spread out with a nice area. The tasting room is divided between indoor and outdoor seating but it all flows together very nicely. We started with a flight of beers and then finished with a rosé enjoyed all. I had the fried shrimp and tomato gravy my wife had the veggie burger brookshire style with some dipping sauces and fries everything was fantastic! Bree our server did a fantastic job keeping us supplied and giving great service! Highly recommend will be back sooner than later
1.5 hour wait so we hit the beer garden. Nice enough but an outside band would totally make it! Once inside the staff were all very young but attentive. Food was good. I was a bit disappointed in the beer cheese though. Great beer selection, no liquor. Please keep an eye on the womens bathroom...gross!
Great selection of beer. Great atmosphere- choice of indoor or outdoor (covered or not!) seating. Pet friendly. Amazing food- portions/flavor/speed. Server was attentive and helpful
Cute spot and perfect for beer and quick bite especially after morning of hiking. Get the pretzel! So delicious and soft. Not like any other pretzel I have ever had. Served with your choice of hot honey or mustard. Prices were great and our waitress Natalie was the most helpful and cutest. She gave us some recommendations for desserts and we would definitely see ourselves going back whenever I return to NC.
We really enjoyed the food truck and beers outside with our pup. Its nice they have an option for inside or patio dining along with the beer garden. Its so awesome how dog friendly they are. Looking forward to coming back
When we make a trip to Boone, a stop at Booneshine is always on the list. Great beer and great food to pair with it. Pretzels and Fried Chicken Sandwich are a must. Dont even think about skipping the jalapeno queso with the pretzel. If you are lucky enough to be there on a Saturday then you must do some BBQ. All this combined with a great outdoor area makes this destination shine!
Love this place. Nice rotating beer selection and great healthy pub food. Beer garden with its own food truck for great sandwiches. Corn hole and lots of Adirondack chairs for hanging out. Worth the stop!
Went to Booneshine Saturday night with some friends. We called ahead to get on the wait list and we were seated immediately once we arrived. Our waitress, Mikayla, got our drink orders quickly after we were seated. She was SO sweet and wonderful and we all highly recommend her!! She is just the coolest person. I didnt personally get any drinks but my friends all enjoyed their flights and said they were super reasonably priced. We shared the brussel sprouts, which were yummy but the portion size was smaller than we expected. The Booneshine burger was AMAZING! Very reasonably priced for a burger! The fries were perfect. Highly recommend the garlic mayo and the ranch. We all really enjoyed our food and have added Booneshine to our list for our next visit to Boone!!
First time visiting BBC since moving back to the area last year. The service was fantastic. Our server was incredibly attentive, fun, and energetic. I wish I remembered her name. On a Tuesday night, we got our food super fast but I cant speak for the weekends.I wasnt particularly experimental with drinks this time around but everything I tried tasted great. Usually we go to Asheville to have a good time at a brewery but we no longer have to stray too far from home with the wide variety of food fair and drinks. The presentation of the food is also a nice touch. Ive worked in food service before so I dont say it lightly that this place is top notch. What We Tried:Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich - 5 stars (it rivals Chik-fil-a)Seasoned fries - 5 stars3 Chicken tacos - 4 starsSoft pretzel - SUPER YUMMY
We had a fantastic experience at Booneshine! Our server, Natalie, was greet and knowledgeable (even gave us a suggestion on a local bakery to visit after our meal). The pretzel was the best I’ve ever had and the burger was outstanding. My friend tried the flight of beer and enjoyed all of them. And prices were extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is casual and outdoorsy. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area!
Great brews and beautiful location. The food is good too. The staff are friendly and we had an enjoyable experience.
Went with friends from WV. It was very busy but they were doing a very good job of enforcing social distancing and all the employees were kind. Due to the inside being at full capacity we sat outside in the beer garden so there were only 6 beers and a couple snacks on tap at the beer/food truck. We all tried 2 different beers each and everyone in my party was very happy with the beer we got. Definitely recommend the beer here. The only suggestion I could make is having a separate beer truck/tent from the food truck to make the lines go a little faster.
One of our top 5 regular places to eat and drink in Boone. Great beer selection (need I say more?) Great food. Our favs are the fried shrimp and pretzels as appetizers which often become the meal. The loaded fries are also great.Outside seating is two-fold: under the porch or out in the tiered picnic table area with a food truck. Call it a bier tent without the tent. Parking can be rough times. Call ahead seating is required during COVID, even now.Take out has been cancelled even for us loyal locals we which has really bewildered me since we kept you afloat during the rough spots of COVID.
Wow. Hot chicken sandwich was awesome. The spring salad with asparagus was super good and beautiful. French fries were tasty too! Oh! The beer…ha! Those were tasty too
Great place to grab a bite and a beer. My family likes to go here early hours for lunch on the weekend. Which is good because it gets busy fast. Good outdoor eating area. If the restaurant is full you can always go get a beer and go to the food truck across the way. Our favorites are the pretzels with beer cheese, flat bread pizza, hot honey chicken sandwich and the burger Brookshire Style. Some of my fav beers are the East Boone Pils if you are looking for something light and refreshing and the High Country Honey if you are looking for still refreshing but a smidge sweeter. All in all great place to go.
Stopped by here during a quick getaway to Boone and 11/10 would recommend! Great IPAs, good food and excellent service.Would def recommend visiting and sitting awhile
First time seeing the new taproom. Lots of space for everyone, with an massive outdoor courtyard. Excellent service, food and beer. Highly recommend the Tropicpale Ale.
Love, love, love from the beginning. Never had anything I didnt like. Plenty to choose from on beer menu. They are totally customer friendly. Cant say enough. A must see if you are visiting! A weekly hangout if you are local
Wow! Just Wow! Food is phenomenal, beer is delicious! Came here after a day of hiking in Blowing Rock and walking though downtown Boone, I was hoping for some delicious food and good beer and my expectations were blown away! Definitely can’t wait to make another trip up too Boone just to come here!
Seems very kid friendly. And lots of open air seating. The beers I sampled were tasty too. 🍻
Cool trendy beer garden and restaurant. Burgers are out of this world! Pet friendly at the patio bring your dog and share a cold one with friends!!!
The service was great! The waiter was great and beer was tasty. My only issue was I asked for dietary accommodation for the cook and I was told that they could not be accommodated and I had to order straight from the menu.
Great Location, delicious beer and family friendly... Whatelse could you ask for? The food! The food is fantastic. Go for the Brussel Sprout Side with whatever you get. It is delicious!
Definitely enjoyed the Cranberry Ginger Gose but there were many more brews to try! Couldnt get to them all in this trip. We did enjoy some great food while visiting. Did a sampler round of Three Little Buttermilk Bisuits with Ham and a heavenly Pretzel situation with salami called the Brezel and a pile of fries called a Brookshire Boat . Didnt get photo of the food . Dug in too quickly. We will be checking out this gorgeous brewery again!
Food was amazing. Definitely recommend the soft pretzel and beer cheese!
Awesome beer, atmosphere and food! The pretzels and flatbread were top notch.
This is so good together that Im convinced it should be mandatory that its served with a slice of ripe honeydew on the side ❤
Really good beers. Staff not in any hurry to wait on you at the bar. You have to flag them down to get your beers. I do not think that there is AC inside either. It was 85 degrees inside when we went.
Really cool space! It was busy when we arrived and had the option of waiting for a table or going to the biergarten for first come service where they had a food truck. Both options looked great but we opted for waiting for a table. We got a beer while waiting and we both loved our beers. Table was ready in less than the time quoted. We couldn’t decide what to get so we got a bunch of stuff - crispy chickpeas, soft pretzel with beer cheese, fried shrimp, and the Meat Camp flatbread pizza. Every one of them was delicious! Pretzel was huge and cheese was great, the fried shrimp were breaded in cornmeal and the tomato gravy was so flavorful and the flatbread had really good quality meat on top along with a naan-sourdough hybrid crust that was soft and crispy at the same time. Crispy chickpeas were a great snack while waiting to decide the rest. Definitely will be back!
My husband and I visited with our dogs this evening- this is our first trip to Boone and our first time at Booneshine. We called ahead and were told the wait was 45-60min and we’d be on the list. We received a text minutes before we arrived that our table was ready and when we arrived we were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and super accommodating for our dogs. I had a flight and my husband tried the High Country Honey and we were super impressed with all of their beers. The food was also great! The atmosphere was also awesome. If we lived closer, we’d be regulars! Highly recommend!
Great brewery! The beer and food were both amazing! The hot honey chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had! Cute atmosphere and environment!
What an awesome place! The atmosphere is great. The food is amazing and the beer is great! We cant wait to go back!
My wife and I came here from independence VA looking for some breweries to hop around too. When we got there we were welcomed in and had a great selection of beer. We also got a pizza pretzel that was to die for. The staff was great as well!
Booneshine has a great reputation among the residents of Boone, and its for good reason; the brewery has a great selection of drinks, real food, and a unique, cozy atmosphere. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor seating having covered and uncovered options. The brewery overlooks the south fork of the New river, giving it a mountain feel with a non-typical view. The staff were all knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The drink selection was varied, with lots of local options as well as popular options. You will find something you like here. The food truck in the parking lot also offers top quality food and meals at decent pricing.
Great atmosphere, food and beer. Love it. Family friendly.
We went on a pretty cold winter day which they didnt have heaters outside, and we had to wait about 45 minutes. Once we got inside we were greeted with a warm welcome and great service. Evan, our server, was kind and informative. He pointed out great beers and delicious menu items. Definitely going to come back!
Natalie was my server. She was very nice. The bacon burger was excellent.
Had one beer with my hubby. Waitress was friendly. Looks like a party atmosphere when you u drive in, however, the silence is deafening. Where’s the music?!
Good beer and food selection. Staff was attentive and courteous. Even brought over a water bowl for our 2 dogs.
First of all...Boone, NC is a total gem of a town. The locals my wife and I met felt like next door neighbors and the Booneshine/Basils Staff (capital S totally intended) represented the town delightfully during our visit. Special props to Paige...very kind and knowledgeable and a fun personality:) We got the Hatchet Coffee Porter (1,000 thumbs up for incorporating your local coffee co.!!) and the Elk Knob Amber Ale because it was really hard to decide on just one. Great experience, great beer and WELL worth your time! Added bonus...as an Internet marketer, I just LOVE the name Booneshine...Boone is a really cool town and this is a name that just HAD to happen:)
Awesome beer and food, great space outdoors and inside.
Several good IPAs and great food at a good price in a great environment.
Great location right outside of town! Great beer and food, and super friendly staff!
The staff is so great here! The beer garden is awesome, the food is tasty and of course, the beer itself is delicious.
I love this place!!! The pork belly tacos are heaven in a tortilla. The only downside is on one occasion, my server totally forgot about me and got no refills, no service. But overall, this is my go to place for good food. 5 star menu.
Beer was good (Try the light IPA) Food was very good (Very eclectic menu) and servers were great..I would go back...
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great live music!
Great atmosphere, great food, and great beer. I had the Elk Knob amber ale and I would definitely get it again. I also really enjoyed the Boonshine burger with fries. The fries were just the right amount of crispiness and seasoned well. Our server was also very attentive and friendly.
Definitely Brookshire style any sandwich you get.Get a flight (or 2) to try all the beers. Thanks to everyone bringing out your dogs for pettings.
I came to visit my friends that just moved to Boone from South Carolina. They have been to Booneshine multiple times. Our whole party was refused service because the bartender believed our IDs were fake; when in fact, we are all well over 21. This was a major disappointment. I will never return to this brewery. Skip this place. Go straight to Appalachian Mountain Brewery.
Great service, great food and beer. Theres plenty of parking and its nice to get out of downtown Boone and Blowing Rock.
Great environment - good beer.
We enjoyed the food truck outside while waiting for our table. Brussels were amazing. Inside food was ok, long hair in burger, the wedge was basically just lettuce and they don’t have ranch. What!!?? Yes, you heard me right.
I hardly ever write reviews, however let me say I was so impressed by this place and her team members that I just couldnt hold back from telling the world! Visited boone for a days and we stopped into Booneshine to have a nice beer and finish up our work day. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly team member. Once we were seated our waiter did an awesome job! He gave us descriptive tour of any beer we asked about, even throwing in some of his own favorites. All in all this place has done an amazing job in how its run. I was so impressed by Booneshine that I mentioned them to my boss for a possible place of partnership! Vibe higher booneshine!
Food was good, wait staff was lacking.
Chicken sandwich and fried cauliflower were great! Hamburger was good also.
Pretty perfect spot. Great staff. Great food. Reasonable prices and truly excellent beers! Good covid-19 protocols too. Highly recommended!
Nice staff, solid beers, good food. Have to leave with a Crowley!
Great food and amazing beer selection
Overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere was good and it a great place to go to if you want a cheap meal. The service was quick and I found no issue with it. The beer my buddy had, he said it was good. The problems with this place is the food. The pizza was extremely bland and in general everything there is bland. If you want a soda, you will have to pay for every single refil.
Great beer, great atmosphere, friendly service. Going back tomorrow!
We had two appetizers and drinks here and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the selection of beer choices. Our server was Dylan and he provided great service and took the time to give us recommendations for things to do in the area since we were visiting. I truly appreciate how this company takes time to ensure its customers and employees are safe by going the extra mile to clean and social distance. Thank you!
Got into town late and found this gem. First off, this is the best food Ive ever had at a brewery. I got the hot honey chicken sandwich and the girlfriend got the wedge salad with chicken. The chicken in her salad was cooked to perfection with so much flavor. I cant even describe how good the hot honey sandwich was.Now the most important part... the beers! Between the two of us we got 2 flights. The blood Orange dubbel and the hatchet porters were the favorites. All the beer was delicious. I highly recommend this place!
Some of the best beer in NC! Hatchet porter and the DIPAs are a fave. Great food too.
Great food, friendly staff, and atmosphere. I would definitely come back.
