My last time coming to the store was today. I always try to buy local to keep money within the North End community, but I do not feel appreciated as a customer. Time after time I try to start conversations, being friendly, talking about wines, liquors, and on occasion, ordering wine. I have a 150+ bottle cellar and am always on the hunt for a new wine or spirits. However, I always feel as if I am disturbing the owner Jeff who 9 times out of 10 bites your head off. Today was no different; I simply asked about getting Sam Adams Utopia which comes with a price tag of no less than $240.00 a bottle. Instead of welcoming business Jeff remains angry and rude creating an unfriendly environment.I will now spread around my business and give all my business to the competition or direct order from wineries. For those reading this go to Golden Goose, Hanover Wine and Spirits, Wild Duck, or if you want some fantastic specialty wines go to The Wine Bottega. To add one more wine location that is also fantastic take a walk over to Beacon Hill and try Beacon Hill Wine & Spirits Co.Sorry Jeff, I will never step foot inside your business again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The owner is very nice and personable to all his customers. Every time I visit Boston I stop here. I get the chance to experience and learn something new every time. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. You don’t feel rushed at all like some places make you feel. The store is stocked with a huge selection and the quality of the products are amazing. They even ship to ya! People in Maryland love you guys! Keep up the good work and I’ll visit again soon.

Kind of a secret place but not really. So many great liqours from all around the world. The owner here loves grappa but i wont hold that against him. Has a great selection of anything that you desire. Very knowledgeable about all types of alcohol and spirits. Had a great conversation and got to sample some of the goods!.

Offers a dazzling variety of Italian amari and aperitivos, as well as obscure bitters, aperitifs, digestifs, and liqueurs from around the world. There is also a small case of imported Italian sodas! I love browsing the shelves here - in addition to the above, theres also wine, vermouth, sherry, fine spirits, and gift baskets - but I never stay too long because of the very strong cigar fumes. Run in, buy the major ingredients for an authentic Italian spritz hour, then run out. :-)

Great store. The only place to get Grappa - the real Italian kind, not the fancied-up stuff in fancy packaging. And they really know Italian wines.

The older lady we attempted to talk to was very rude. Not sure how you can stay in business so long with that kind of attitude.1 star for the lack of customer service.
