Did my annual inspection here and it was a much more professional and quick experience than I had done at another shop. Always appreciate no-nonsense and communicative approach to these things. He also gave me a tip on some upcoming maintenance which is always appreciated.

Called them asking if they have a specific time during the day to do inspections and was told it was first come first served. I drove over about an hour or so later. I was second in line and got my sticker not too long after. The guy who took care of me was courteous and quick. Not sure what happened to the person who left a review 6 days ago but this is my first time using these folks and I will probably use them for something else if need be.

It’s difficult to find a trustworthy and fair auto body shop, but look no further than E&S. They did my brakes in a half day and charged a very reasonable fee. I previously used S&F Auto in Southie who charged me more than double for the same job and took a week to finish. Great customer service too, such nice people!

E&S is great! This is my second time visiting and they were professional, informative, quick, and a great value. I will definitely continue using E&S for any maintenance in the future.

Have been bringing my car there for annual inspections for 7 years now and they are always nice and pleasant. I appreciate that if there are any issues they are clear about the issues and dont seem to do unnecessary costly repairs.

Took my car here out of convenience for a new sticker, less than 3 minutes later my car had failed inspection and I was told I needed all new brakes (front and rear). He insisted on doing the brakes that day and I refused after being told it would cost $850. I then had my car looked at by someone else who laughed at the rejection and said I didn’t need ANY brakes, but still replaced my front brakes as they were close to being worn out but still in good condition and didn’t warrant a rejection. I thought this would remedy the rejection sticker so I took my car back to E&S and again without looking at the vehicle I had failed inspection and told I needed rear brakes. Mind you my vehicle has 35k miles on it and had already been looked at by someone else who insisted I was fine with my rear brakes. At this point I was extremely frustrated and decided to eat the additional inspection fee and take my car to a trusted mechanic where they said absolutely nothing is wrong with my vehicle and that these people at E&S clearly are just trying to make money even when the car doesn’t need maintenance. Avoid at all costs, I feel taken advantage of and a simple 30 minute task has turned into weeks of frustration and unnecessary spending and repairs to my car. I will never return and will drive out of the city for the sole purpose of avoiding this scam.

Top notch service for an inspection sticker

Had taken my Infiniti FX to the dealership on 3 separate occasions to fix the brakes. Fed up and desperate, decided to try E&S because they are close to my home and my car wasn’t safe enough to drive on faulty brakes. I pulled into E&S without an appointment and they took my car right away. Two hours later, they had replaced the brakes. Their price was much much cheaper than the dealer’s AND they actually fixed the problem! These guys are friendly and honest pros. Shop is immaculate, try them out.

Called the shop and they told me to come in for an Oil Change and Inspection sticker. Extremely friendly and conversational. Sat in the waiting room for less than 30 minutes and was in and out with both tasks completed. Definitely would recommend for anyone in the South Boston area!!

Dont go to this place. This place is of scammers, lairs, untrustworthy. You will be treated by unprofessional rude guy and will lie to you. He costed me much and tried to cost me much more but have done somewhere else easily.

After getting my car registered I was trying to get an inspection done ASAP. I called E&S after 4pm on a Friday. The shop owner was very professional and happily told me to come on over and hed get it taken care of in 10 minutes. Two other places I called before that told me I would have to drop in on Monday morning and wouldnt give me an appointment. I headed over to E&S immediately. As promised my inspection was taken care of in 10 minutes and I was out the door before 4:30 pm. The owner and assistant were friendly and professional and I will happily return there for anything I need in the future.

The oil change and inspection were done in record time and the people there are very friendly . I needed rear shocks and they quoted me a fair price and got the work done quickly. they are a little slow to get back to you sometimes because of how busy they are but the work is good and the team is trustworthy.

I have a company and I own several vehicles one of my vehicles broke down I called this place for a tow because this was the closest shop I spoke to the guy on the phone beforehand explain to him my situation he told me when he knows whats wrong with my car he would call me and give me a quote a few days later I get a call from the mechanic yelling at me because AAA didnt drop the car in the right spot I was spoken to very rudely yelled and swore at and i was refused service on my vehicle because AAA didnt put the car on the right spot I told the gentleman on the phone I dont have a tow truck AAA brought the truck and he said I was lying and started calling me names etc etc worst experience Ive ever had with mechanic in my life

I bought my moms car from her while I was in NC and drove it up to Boston. With everything going on with covid-19, it was very hard to find a place nearby that had any availability for an oil change and an inspection. I called E&S because they are close to my apartment and they said they could get me in same day and boy am I one happy customer.The service is absolutely impeccable, you can tell that they arent there just to take your money. They have the best customer service I have ever experienced at an auto shop.I will definitely be recommending them to friends. A true southie gem!

What kind of auto service company doesn’t make appointments? I tried to schedule an oil change and was told “No, you need to call day of around 11AM to see if you can come in.”I’m sorry, but what the hell is that? I love my car and keeping it well maintained and all, but I can’t revolve my life around them.Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go here anymore.

RESTORED OUR HOPE IN HUMANITY. The breaks on my fathers car went out in Boston and we live across the state in western Ma. I called them in a moment of desperation and received immediate reassurance and help from the mechanics. I towed it there late in the day and by 9 am the next morning I got a call that it was all set. The breaklines were totally rotted out. They replaced them as well as the break fluid. They charged us an extremely fair price, I did some research online to compare. Fast, thoughtful, and caring guys. Really appreciate the help we got and would recommend to anyone in the area. Solid work.

Stranded in Boston with a broken down van. Had it brought in to their shop, and the next morning received a call letting me know the issue and what options I had. They got me back up and running the same day, and charged a fair price for the job. These guys are great. Would definitely recommend.

Came here for general maintenance and repairs and the very next day the car broke down on the highway. Showed the mechanic who had to fix it for real the invoice and said I was easily overcharged $500 for the repair. Not happy at all with the service here

Honest and friendly staff. Went there for 3 major problems with my Jeep and they helped guide me of what I should do. Not once did I feel like I was getting taken advantage of or were there trying to push any other low priority repairs to make extra money. Very quick with repairs and communicative. Quick inspection, good service

Ive had good experience with Joe and this shop for a couple years now. Conveniently open very early in the morning so theyve been good about willing to let me drop before work or the night before. Work is honest and rates are reasonable.

Went in for inspection right when they opened at 7am (only place around me to open so early), and there was incredibly efficient service. Will definitely go back.

I brought my vehicle here for a brake service and an oil change. When notified the vehicle was ready for pickup, I came to the shop and noticed a lug nut missing on each wheel. When I inquired, the manager (George) said they broke the locking lug nut key upon removal and did not want to put them back on. The oil change was also not completed. He was apologetic and offered to make it right and take care of replacing the lugs and providing an oil change free of charge.When I went back to try and have the issues corrected, the owner (Joseph) became attitudinal and angry with me, saying he should not be responsible for breaking the lug nut key and refused to provide the oil change. He tried to justify his position by stating that locking lug nuts never come off correctly and strip/break every time. This is simply untrue as I have had the wheels off this car many times at numerous other shops without issue. I left the shop, without having the lug nuts replaced or the oil change performed. I would not trust my vehicle in this shops hands again.Summary: The owner (Joseph) is dishonest and has no integrity or respect for the customer. They provide subpar work, which cannot be trusted, at elevated prices. I will not be a customer in the future, and recommend you not be one either.

You definitely get what you pay for! Im a little OCD when it comes to keeping my cars clean. I wash them once a week and have them detailed semi-annually. These guys did an excellent job. You maybe asking is a car detail really worth 200 bucks? I think these guys go far beyond all expectations. Ive had my cars detailed dozens of times and I know crap when i see it. In the past, Ive picked up my cars from other detailers only to find spots on that were not clay barred, wax that wasnt buffed out or areas that werent wipe down. I was a little skeptical going to a new garage, but it was well worth it. I picked my car up today and every inch was immaculate. JUST LIKE NEW. Thanks Chris! Scam artist. Paid him money to fix my exhaust, brakes again even worse in the same spot 2 weeks later. Claims that he wont honor his original work, demanded that I dont make him upset by asking him to redo, or actually fix the work. He now wants another $400.Lost money, and now I STILL have to get the car fixed.Dont me like me. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable place to have your car repaired.Additionally, when working on the car originally, Joe broke the latch to my hood and hid it under the carpet so I wouldnt see it.Avoid this scam artist hack job. There are other places. Wish I could somehow give zero stars.
