This Boomerangs is not like the other locations. They probably get more valuable donations and brands here, so prices are much higher...
This one of the BEST vintage stores to be found anywhere. From lite home decor to clothing, the staff here have an eye for the finest castoff and truly gently used goods. It doesnt get any better than this true gem. Promise.
A store that has wonderful rare selections with a friendly and engaging staff. A good place to invest in long-term pieces with the additional bonus of your money going to a good cause. This place is a frequent visit for me!
Well-curated mix of men and women’s clothing, footwear and small home decor items. In my experience the staff have been relaxed and helpful, and sometimes negotiable on pricing. I look forward to stopping by whenever I’m in the neighborhood. The only downside is the burn of finding the coolest jacket you’ve ever seen, just one size off.
Not impressed with the fact they posted hours on their website, drive al the way there, only to find they closed 3 hours early. Very disappointing!
Pricey, very fancy stuff.
I’m never disappointed! I love just coming in here to check out the inventory, so many interesting pieces. It’s one of my favorite boomerangs, other than the one in lower Manhattan.
Since the last manager, kate, left I have stopped donating. I was donating lots of vintage and antique items and buying as often as I could afford, but, do not like the attitude of a worker there she has a bad attitude unless she knows you have a big wallet. My items will now go childrens home
I really really love this thrift shop. Recently my toddler and I paid them a visit and literally got so many goodies ! All for the price of $20.00. I purchased a pair of pants, which so happened to be half off. So it was about $3.00, a sweatshirt $4.00, $1.00 soft sweater, romper $4.00, lightly used Toms for $2.00, Lightly used Sperrys for $2.00 and 3 hard cover books in amazing condition for the price of $1.50. They were .50 cents each 😳 then to find out they have half off books on Thursdays! 😍 We will be there every Thursday !!! The employees there were super helpful and sweet. Reminding me of ways to gain points through their membership. The only con is it’s slightly tight in there BUT it’s worth being extra mindful of your step! We will be back !
Fun place to shop. Inventory changes daily. You never know what treasures you may discover! I picked up an awesome Armani sweater at a great price!
Great place to find clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry and other special items that have been gently worn. Although some of the clothes still have tags on them! Great deals can be found here. And they have mens clothes too.
Always an interesting and varied yet curated selection and love that it all goes to a great cause!
I had really liked shopping here since its convenient to my home and usually has very beautiful things, although overpriced. However, today I had a terrible experience that made me feel insulted actually. When I brought the wallet that I liked and planned to purchase to the counter, I was told that the price was a mistake and too low for that brand that its basically an $800 wallet. I had no idea of the brand, I just liked the practical way the wallet was made. The person at the counter was like ah yah no sorry we cant sell it for that price - it must have got switched since people do that all the time. Its a vintage version but it still would be sold for much more.Really???Ok so when the person switched the tag and tried to buy the item and was denied, why wasnt the price fixed???I just walked out. Very poor taste and lack of professionalism. In all the years Ive spent money at Boomerangs, Ive never encountered such an experience.Or in any store for that matter.
Walked over during COVID and it was closed. Leaving review to save others from the travel!
Very friendly. High quality stuff. Small space so selection is a but limited, but whats there is very good.
This one of two Boomerangs locations I visit. The other is near Central Sq. This location, Washington St., curates a different type of merchandise. It is almost as if most of the finer items donated to the organization ends up at this location. Cool! I know where to go to find a rare, curious and not-too-pricey sit-pretty! The staff is friendly but they seem confused by donated items that may not fit the store look.
Very nice
With new things arriving almost daily youll never know what wonderful must have item your eyes might rest upon. The only bad side is that most of the employees are so young and inexperienced in the world that their basic people skills end 1 minute after they are forced to stop intently staring at their smart phones or having animated conversations with co-workers. Its not their fault, every young person is like this. Great store mananger but even she can suck the joy out of a room with a few words. Expect great stuff to buy at great prices and service that is usually just okay.
Friendly and helpful staff with quality merchandise. I bought a very nice Brooks Brother blazer for a super price.
A small space than their other locations focused on more high-end goods. Good selection of secondhand clothing, houseware, books and music.
Not a thrift store - this location only deals in expensive, name brand items. Couldnt find a jacket under $80
I cant remember the last time I have bought new clothes--other than athletic apparel--since finding this place. I get great deals on almost new designer clothes here--things I could never afford retail. Almost everything in my wardrobe now has been purchased at Boomerangs. I also donate things that I am just tired of. You can find jewelry, books, kitchen items and glassware here, too. We do a lot of our gift shopping here, too. Great staff, and all for a good cause.
Need to be a little more people oriented and warmth with fellow feelings.
I love boomerangs in JP but this one is overpriced, slightly snobbish, and not as good a bang for your buck as the other 2 i visited. Its for a good cause though so I feel good spending money there.
Very high quality clothes, well curated with friendly staff.
Diferent concept and good quality stuff becoming from donations where the fundsGoes to Aids action...
A more compact version of the Central square location. This location has more clothing than furniture or other goodies. A little on the pricy side for a thrift shop, but the quality and curation make it worth it.
Ive found some great bargains here. Easy parking, nice variety, great staff.
Very well curated location, fantastic cause. Chic as heck!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I was accused of stealing, was told things that clearly didnt fit, Looked soooo good!, just to make another sale! I walked out, not buying anything and normally I would be ok with that, but because of the incredibly rude saleswoman, I left feeling violated. If I could, I would give this place 0 stars
Our fav storefront in South End. Always welcomed and great finds too
I love Boomerangs truly a spiritual and financially satisfying experience
BEST HIGH END USED SHOPPING IN BOSTON!
Great place for nice bags and more
Ooops have not been thete. Late july maybe
The great place for people who are poor yet tasteful...
Prices are a little high and there is not much of a wide selection of items. Ive been at other Boomerangs stores that have lower prices and a lot more options, like the store in Jamaica Plain.
For used clothes, prices reflect that of outlet stores
This is a great small, well curated consignment shop. They have some great things, nice selection of cashmere, they had a fantastic robert cavalli last time I went in there. I like the store size and selection, makes it less overwhelming and the fact that the money goes to a good cause. They have mens, womens and usually some cool housewares.
Great stuff, fun to explore!
Higher end reseller
Super expensive for a thrift shop.
Very expensive. All their clothes were 35 to almost 200 dollars. More of a consignment shop than a thrift shop
Very expensive for use stuff
