Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Its always fun to stop in and say hi to the various birds they have. They carry a comprehensive variety of seed for different species as well as treats and toys.
Found Wings of the World 15 years ago when we added Georgie (aka Boo) to our family. Joan and Malcolm and staff are very helpful in the education one needs for successful bird ownership. They also clip wings and nails (for free!) and supply a huge variety of food, treats, toys and supplements. I highly recommend! ❤
Awesome place, found my lost bird here and they have good quality Parkeet food and they are not expensive either.
As far as Ive seen, this is perhaps the best store solely focused for birds in the area. With an extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, youre sure to find what youre looking for here. There is a large range of toys, food, and treats for birds here, enough for you to get exactly what you need. They cater to birds of nearly all sizes, going from budgie all the way to macaw. They offer free nail and wing trimming if you make an appointment, which is always quality.I have never bought a bird from here before, but given the staff and their obvious love for birds, you and your bird would be in good hands. They also offer a boarding service, but Ive never used it, Id guess its pretty good though. It can get loud with all the birds there, but you kinda sign up for that when you get birds.
A rare gem.Their bird food selection is spot on!! They always do a great job with nail trimming, and if I didn’t have roommates to watch my two parrots when I’m gone I’d take them here in a heartbeat. Lovely folks!
People keep recommended this place that you can sell your birds to and supposed to be a great place to help me find homes for my sweet baby because of my pregnancy they have my name and number they keep saying that they will call me back about them but they failed to do so. I been calling them 3 months straight and they keep giving the run around and failed to contact me back.
Would not trust anyone else with my parrot. Great service advice and show appreciation for there clientele.Staff is amazing!
I absolutely love this place! The staff are extremely personable and welcoming. They always take such great care of my cockatoo when I take her to get her grooming. I cant recommend enough if you are looking for a shop that specializes in parrots and cares deeply enough to give you great advice! Thank you, Joan and staff!
Amazing place. I went there as I was looking to get two zebra finches and Ron and Micaela hooked me up! They were very kind and extremely knowledgeable. Micaela even gave me some freebies to help me get started in finch keeping. I highly recommend this store and the prices better than most places.
All sorts of food and toys and supplies, and a good selection of birds that are well cared for!
The customer service is out of this world. They treated us and our birds like family. Love this place wont be going anywhere else for anything related to or birds which to us are part of our family.
Got a lovely green-cheeked conure from them! The staff there are wonderful and incredibly helpful (especially Joan!) and my birds are obsessed with their house-mixed seed! The complimentary grooming services are also an added bonus, and Ill definitely be giving them my business for years to come.
Everyone seems to love Wings of the World! And were no different. Theyre a wonderful little place tucked away behind weeping willows blooming bright green in the spring. Located right off the Bothell-Everett Hwy in Bothell, they sell, board, and care for all sorts of birds; Amazons, cockatiels, lovebirds, doves, finches, etc. They sell bulk seed at great prices for all variety of birds, allowing you to mix your own, and experiment to see what your bird likes, and offer her the most balanced diet possible. We were there to look at lovebirds, but they did not have any on hand. We went during the pandemic (yes, theyre open, with safety & distancing precautions in full effect) so Im not sure if things are different than usual right now, as to what birds they have available and/or on display. Only a few ppl are allowed in the small store at a time, everyone is masked, and hand sanitizer is plentiful. Follow protocol or stay away.We were able to put our name on an egg! Aka: list for lovebirds forthcoming. We are 8th in line for 8 eggs now being incubated. The baby birds are hand raised by staff, and new owners are encouraged to visit and interact w/their birdling at the facility until it is ready to go home, at 8 or so weeks of age. That way a bond is created beforehand to ensure a smooth transition, and a tame, sweet baby bird.*One note: they do not sell or deal in cockatoos specifically, bc they can be difficult to handle, and often have a lot of behavioral problems due to neglect or mistreatment - since they are such a sensitive, highly bonded, socially needy bird. Please, please never get a cockatoo unless you mean to make a full-time 30 year commitment.*Staff took a lot of time with us, explaining the way they do things, and I very much appreciate that. They really love birds here, and I love them for that.
Love, love, LOVE this place!! We drive 45 minutes just to come here with our Cockatoo because the customer service is always great! We love that they carry food and toys for our large breed parrot. Its very hard to find a place that sells that kind of stuff since the little birds are more common as pets. We also love the free grooming they offer. Joan handles the birds like a pro and gets them groomed and out the door in no time! They offer boarding for birds as well, which we havent used but plan on it when we travel. I cant say enough good things about this place! Definitely a place to visit if you own a bird or even if youre interested in owning one.
Absolutely the best place in Washington for all things birds! The staff are always friendly and helpful, they always answer whatever questions the customers have. The boarding prices are fair and affordable, the boarding birds are well taken care of. Been going for the past six years, never going anywhere else for my bird needs!
The greatest friendliest place to take your bird.
This place is amazing. Joan is the BEST when it comes to her knowledge of birds and how to run a business. She has supplied all my bird needs for at least 10 years. I give thanks for having met Joan and her entire staff. They are all great. What ever your bird needs may be, Wings of the World will be able to accommodate.Thank you Wings of the World
Fantastic place. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.
Appointment based only to go. My mom and I did not know that. They still let us come in and look around. Very friendly and knowledgable.
I only had positive experiences with Wings of the word. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about caring for the birds! Recently one of my budgies was very sick, I needed to administer medicine to him but I just couldnt do it right. Joan took the time to teach me, she went above and beyond, she gave me tips on how to keep him warm and protected in order to recover properly. Joans care saved my budgie who I believed would not survive. Our family is very grateful to Wings of the Word!
Amazing service and prices
This is a wonderful place the workers are great the owner is are awesome out of any store Ive ever been to they love their animals you can see it in the birds and you can see it in their eyes theyre just wonderful place to be if youre interested in birds these would be the ones to go to you they explain everything and they walk you through it step by step theyre great
We love Wings of the World, Joan, and her staff of dedicated employees and volunteers. There is simply no better place to go if you have an interest in birds, from finches on up to macaws. They work very hard to ensure their store is clean, safe, and most of all that their birds are happy and healthy. Great customer service, great location... there is no downside here! Warm days, I love to hold my bird outside in their lovely yard beneath the trees and chat with other bird lovers. As a person who uses a wheelchair, Ive been constantly amazed by their care with my comfort and accessibility. As a mom of children on the autism spectrum, Ive always felt welcome to bring them in with me. And most of all--- wonderful birds! Ive bought two from Joan and both are fantastic family members!
I came in to look at the parrots they have and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They answered our questions and helped us get on the wait list for a conure. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend them for their service and friendliness.
Joan is awesome with our bird. She does her nails beak and wings
The owner and staff are amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. Anything you need for your bird can be found here!
Fruendly staff. Lots of exotic birds. Clean. Love it!
Amazing people, they deserve even more customers than the already have from perfect service
Love this place. Very friendly and always helpful. Joan is a sweetheart and always takes great care of my birds!
Very very knowledgeable and respectful. They treat their birds like they are a family member and not just some bird like other places that we wont name. But will be going back there when we have save up enough for one of those beautiful smart and friendly birds. Never one that some birds could live to see 100yrs old thats incredibly mind blowing lol.
Wonderful place! We brought in our amazon and they did a complimentary nail trim and wing clip. Large variety of bulk bin food that was dirt cheap, allowing us to try new blends without cost being a deterrent. The staff was so sweet and friendly. Will make this our new go to.
Weve been going to Wings of the World for several years now and have adopted all of our birds from them. This is by far the BEST place if youre looking for a wonderful bird companion! I cant even say enough great things about Joan, Ron, Duston and the rest of their amazing team. They are like family to me now :) Love you guys!!
I have been coming here for four years, and WOTW is still my third favorite spot to go to (after work and my own home). I have been to bird stores all over Los Angeles, Orange County, Berkeley, Atlanta, and Boston and I have to say this is the penultimate bird store in the USA. Great place to bring a bird thats owned by a friend who can no longer care for it or to re-socialize/train your own out- of -control biter. If you love birds and you live in greater Seattle, this is a place you need to visit regularly. I cant even imagine how this place could improve! Prices are super cheap, owners are so patient, kind and warm, and the environment couldnt be more pro-bird.I was really fortunate to be able to adopt/re-home a bird that needed love. Joan and staff took their time in introducing me to this new potential pet. Within a week, we realized it was a perfect match. Larry, my adopted gree cheek conure is the best bird (out of more than 25), I have ever owned. I am so grateful For this store and its owner, Joan.
Ive been going to and shopping with Wings of the World for well over a decade now. I found them when I was initially looking for bird boarding for my parrot. The owner is very nice, friendly, and personable. She treated my parrot very well and took into consideration my birds preference in cage neighbors. This is very important to me, as I want my bird to be safe and happy while he has to be away from home. After my parrot passed away, and enough time had passed, I was ready to get another bird and Wings of the World is where I went first.I love that the birds are well socialized while they are young. I love that my bird can go back for boarding when I need to head out of town for work or family and cant take her with me.The food that I purchase there is always fresh and Ive never had problems with moths, mold, or rot. They are willing to do what they can to get toys that are unusual but favorites, as long as their suppliers carry them. They are also always willing to provide recommendations and accept feedback. My bird is happy to stay with them and while she is, of course, very happy to come home, shes never starved for food or attention while there. They are very good about keeping her on her home diet as long as I bring it for them.I also love that they are absolutely happy to have me bring my little bird and socialize in their yard for a while in the summer, or bring her to go shopping for a new toy. They have volunteers who are happy to handle her when she is boarded as well. The store is clean, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the store sponsors special events such as Customer Appreciation Day and Bird Pictures with Santa.I can definitely recommend this store not just to current bird owners, but also anyone interested in getting a bird.
This is an awesome store for the bird lover or owners. They have great bulk food and treat options, as well as toys, cages, and supplies. They even offer bulk toy making options so you can make your own toys with your birds favorites! They trim beaks and wings too.
I have not yet been to this bird store, however I intend to go very soon. I am currently on a waiting list for a Black Capped Conure! The phone call I had with them was very pleasant, and I look forward to my eventual trip. Thank you for reading! I hope this helped
They are great advocates of the birds and helped us on every step of homing a bird. Very customer friendly and honest with what should be done taking care of the birds needs. They have great customer appreciation days where you can mingle with other bird owners share stories and eat food. They also have never charged me to clip our birds wings and nails. I highly recommend them. They are a wonderful small business to check out.
Joan has assistedme with the health management of my military macaw for over 20 years and continues to.If you own a bird, youre aware that this is outstanding... priceless. This is the place for top quality supplies and top quality services.Maurice
The volunteers and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I especially appreciate their affordable bird boarding services and complimentary wing and nail trims!
Joan and her staff are wonderful!
Very knowledgeable crew
The people here are so nice and were very sweet to my 2 birds. Ill definitely be back!
Great store. Excellent customer service, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Good selection of toys, food, and supplies. Clean and well organized. Beautiful and friendly parrots as well!
Current covid precautions: call ahead to make an appointment for their (free!) nail and wing clipping so they can keep it from getting too crowded, masks required (theyll sell you a disposable for 75¢ or I saw they had some cute bird-fabric ones for sale, not sure how much.) Theyll give you a glove for shopping, scoops for bulk food kept behind the counter, and the bird section is employee-only now.I came here for my first bird-shop visit about 1yr ago. Ive visited quite a few times now and Joan is just great--she knows her stuff and I definitely trust her advice. Even though its not the closest bird shop to central Seattle, Ill continue to come here! The bulk foods and toy making supplies are a good deal as someone with 1 small bird who doesnt go through things very quickly. Its nice not to have to buy bulk supplies online when I dont even know if hell chew on them. They also sell Harrisons and its much cheaper than buying on Amazon or paying for shipping from Harrisons website.
Best people
Wing of the world is one of my favourite places. Joan is amazing and really cares about the birds. They have a great selection and are extremely knowledgeable. All 3 of my parrots came from here.
Great store! Loved talking to the staff, everyone there is very friendly and very knowledgeable
Love coming here. Joan is amazing with my birds and the birds they have there are very well taken care of. Very knowledgeable and always answers any questions you might have.
We have adopted a sweet nanday we have named Serj. EVERYONE there has been phenomenal from the beginning. We cant say enough good about this place!! Its clean. Well stocked and brimming with humans who know their stuff. Every time we call...or come in...we are greeted with enthusiastic and sincere people . We waited a good long while to add a new bird to the family and they have been amazing the entire time. From our intital call to inquire about what birds are available to now, when we go to visit (our baby is still being hand fed) they have been so welcoming to us.If you want a bird or need advice....ABSOLUTELY call Wings of the World! You wont be disappointed!Ill add...Im a triage tech....these guys know their stuff. Im not new to birds and I absolutely trust them. They honestly put the health, safety and well being of the birds above all else.We will certainly stick with them for any and all of our bird needs.
Joan and staff are amazing. Been a customer for years and their knowledge and bird supplies are top notch.
I love this place. Honestly I wouldnt adopt a bird from anywhere else on the planet. The owner is amazing. I just stop by to visit the birds when I get a chance.
This place is great
Joan + everyone is great here, free wing, nail and beak grooming. Cheaper bird babysitting for if youre out of town. Raise different pet birds from hatch-hood leaving the nest and able to adopt. Budgies, cockatiels, quakers, cockatoo, African grey, canaries, finches (rainbow ones are cool), love birds; and more! By appointment due to covid.
We have been bringing our birds here for 15 years. Knowledgable, caring staff. Free basic grooming. Toys, food, cages... and a wonderful selection of birds. They also board birds. So grateful Wings of the World is here!
The best bird or even pet store Ive ever been to. The staff was incredible and helpful. They didnt mind all my questions. We were able to hold and snuggle the bird we would be taking home when its old enough. So many beautiful baby birds in one room, it was heaven! Already planning and looking forward to my next trip to wings of the world.
Really a gem for bird pet owners. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A fun store to visit with a good selection of birds, feeds and toys. Great outdoor area for hanging out with your bird and other folks. My birds love our visits.
Very helpful in answering my questions! We put payment down in yellow sided conure cant wait to go back friday to visit little one. I highly recommend this place. Very friendly people.
We got the sweetest little cockatiel from Wings of the World over the weekend. She is a little rescue bird that came to them with an injured wing and foot. The amazing staff took such good care of her and got her all fixed up and back in good health. When we went to pick up our little ball of feathers it was clear how much love and exceptional care all of the birds get. What a wonderful place this is. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Thank you so much for all that you all do!!!
The people that work there are very nice and the bird look happy
Great store for bird and bird related needs. Clipping, food, etc.Nice staff.
Great place, very knowledgeable owners and staff. Really good at making sure the baby birds are ready to go home. Also just a nice place to visit and see all the birds they have.Great place to get bird food and toys as well if you need them
The staff here was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. They were super friendly, and had a ton of beautiful birds in a very clean environment. Will definitely be going back for supplies and any help I may need!
Love this place. Everyone is so kind and ready to answer any questions you may have. There isnt enough pet store I trust that has bird produces but this place is a gold mine to me. I recommend any bird parent to come here.
The staff and volunteers are so incredibly helpful and caring. You can tell they love what they do and take pride in it. They also have complementary grooming. This is the only place we go to now for toys and pellets. I highly recommend this place. If you need advice on bird care as well, they are so helpful!
It is a nice place to visit even if you dont want to buy a 🐦. The staff and volunteers handle the birds regularly so they are well socialized. They dont try to sell you their birds, rather, they are there to educate you on a birds temperament and answer all of your questions, without trying to rush you into a purchase. Very nice people and birds!
Joan is very knowledgeable and helpful
Great selection of birds, bird supplies and outstanding friendly staff
We bought our cockatiel here & the staff was so helpful in making sure we were prepared & had everything we needed. We love the free wing clipping & they are always eager to answer our questions!Very clean, great quality birds!
Amazing place! Everybody very polite and knowledgeable.
Absolutely wonderful establishment with birds for adoption. I visited just to see what they were like and was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and patient staff who have no problems answering questions. I was looking for a place to adopt a bird ( I have owned them before) as I have recently moved to the area and my apartment feels so empty without a bird. I look forward to visiting again!
Best bird store on the west coast and they care about customers and their pets!
Place is totally awesome the exotic birds there are beautiful and the people working there are nice and very knowledgeable
Super cool place, has everything you need for your winged friend. I overheard they have loaner cages, how awesome is that? Great easy to find location, abundant parking.
Wings of the world is a fabulous little bird sanctuary. The place is clean, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, theres lots of variety in merchandise and food, and the birds are beautiful and happy. Definitely going to come back for bird supplies in the near future.
Incredibly knowledgeable staff, and a variety of birds you wont find anywhere else... but the prices are a bit high, at least on the actual birds. I would recommend this place to anyone who is new to birds and interested in becoming an owner.
I really love the people and i know they are doing what feels right... ive gotten three birds here but i cannot support them anymore... parrotvolancy.com has factual information as to why the act of clipping wings is extremely dangerous, and plain wrong. it should be legally abuse, as well as just abuseful. ive left there SOBBING (hoping no one saw...) after seeing those babies who will likely never fly and eat seeds for the rest of their lives. its ILLEGAL in Sweden, germany, austria, switzerland and italy. And in england its against the governments new higher standard for pet shops to sell clipped birds... what does that tell you?? if they honestly make a move to improve the care of their birds, i will be back ASAP and supporting! but until then i continue to recommend a rival, who limits seeds and doesnt clip....
Joni at Wings of the World is a gem. She has been running the store through its several locations in the Bothell area, and has taken excellent care of my feather baby as a boarder, and doing wing and nail trimmings throughout the years. She knows parrots, and knows her customers well. I love coming in to visit with the parrots who are staying there.
Joan was so kind and helpful with our situation! They are very passionate about all things bird. Highly reccomend for all your bird inquiries!
The birds are so happy. Everyone is so nice and they have volunteers. If you buy or Not everyone is welcome. They have supplies and toys and cages. They also will clip the birds wings if needed. Some older birds they for away free. They all birds to find happy forever home. They also board for you if you are on a trip. Thanks for having a great place for birds!
Wings of the World is top notch. They have a beautiful selection of birds which are very healthy and well taken care of. They have fresh bulk food for all types of birds. The owner Joan is wonderful and is very knowledgeable with anything that may come up with bird health and care.
A great place for birds. It has nice scenery, nice staff, and cool birds. Also sells bird food, toys, and cages
It was fantastic! The owners were so nice and helpful and let us take are time and ask as many questions as we want. I give this a five star 🌟
I came across this store by chance and am so glad that I did. It is so evident that these people truly care for the birds that they have. The birds are beautiful and (most) are friendly and absolutely lively with personality. I fall in love with these birds all over again whenever I visit. Make sure not to get too attached to the birds if you cant/dont plan on buying one, they grow up and sell quickly!
Small homey place, very hard to find. Small sign to small dirt lot behind building, looks private. Several lovely young birds to adopt, a good place for grooming and boarding. I found an elderly cockatiel there that needed a new home. My elderly female needed a companion but he loves me more!
Been shopping here for years. One of my birds was hand fed at the store and has always been a joy. Love their custom seed blends and the ability to buy food in either bulk or packaged form. Free grooming is definitely a huge plus!It can get a little busy on the weekends, but the staff are always amazing. There is a great selection of toys for birds.
Always very informative, and very helpful.
Good place to get toys, food, cage and more for your bird. They do provide care for your bird when you are away from home. They have many volunteers to take care of the birds.
Very friendly, nice and professional team👍👍👍
Love the staff! Has everything you could possibly need for your bird! Also does an amazing job with grooming - but make sure to call ahead to ask if they can do it that day.
My favorite birds supply and birds store. Bird feed is freshest from all pet stores you can find. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Love it!!
I bought my bird back in 95 at Wings of the world and he is 22 now. Wings of the world is the most amazing bird store. They board birds and take amazing care of our Avian friends. Highly recommend if you are interested in getting a bird.
Has organic bird food and nice toys. Cool birds
Very nice store. If you are nearby, and in the market for getting a bird, I would recommend getting your bird here. Great selection of bird food and accessories.
