If it was up to me, i would give this place more than 5 stars. Upon reading the other reviews, i want to clear something up. The owner (older gentleman) has never been in a bad mood or ever been rude to anyone Ive been there whenever Im there. Its possible the person came off with an attitude towards him but he is not that type of person. Very friendly to everyone, young or old. Every time my family and I have visited, we buy a couple of coins and/or jewelry. Theres a lot of things for anyone, from antique badges/play-fake guns, old coins, antique Boulder city badges and signs. Hoover dam related items as well. Not every single item in the store has a price marked but it doesnt hurt just to ask. Just dont expect to be approached by the owner, you can take your time looking at the stuff without being bothered. Once your ready then ASK for assistance. I love this store and what it offers.
I went into Back in Thyme to sell some Silver & Gold a while back. The owner was working that day and she was very friendly, Very Knowledgeable, and VERY VERY Honest. I knew what I had was quite valuable, and I had on 3 other occasions tried to sell it but the attempted rip off was the play of the day at each place. The lady at Back in Thyme, Glena was very forth coming in her appraisal of my jewelry. She had some great pieces also. She offered me an extremely generous and fair price for my stuff and we shook hands and I finally was able to make the deal I was looking for. In all honesty she gave me more than I thought I would ever get. So happy was the play of the day for me. I have since gone in and bought a few items from this shop because its people like the owner of Back in Thyme that deserve to stay in business. I would highly recommend shopping in this antique store. Based on my experience Im sure you will be glad you did.
LOVED this place because the turquoise authenticity and selection. The owner had LOTS of great jewelry at great prices. Bought to amazing pieces there and paid a fraction of the cost than other places that are more touristyIts in a great location, sweet owner, and some pretty amazing things.will be more than happy to come here again when im visiting the area/state
Great store full of treasures, reasonable prices. Glena Dunn is a wonderful person. She also writes the Country Register of Southern Nevada. Great little paper
I love Bill the owner he is amazing and sweet, been a family friend since I was a baby
Man behind counter not friendly or welcoming at all. Some nice things here. Lots of indian jewlery, but very expensive.
Lots of interesting and charming vintage goods. Owner is very amenable and it is a fun shop to check out.
Cool little antique shop I love all the restored pedal cars.
This place is a rip off, bought a Pencil drawing Of Elvis, by Glen Bamse, the owner wanted $200.00 bucks and was willing to take $100.00 he said it was on the internet for $650.00, stupid me bought it and THEN did the research, sells on the internet ranging from $22.00 to $83.00! What a liar and a thief, do not do business with this man
Great selection of scented candles and a new typewriter section. Glena the owner is a real community supporter, especially to children in need.
Many cool thingsVerry good experiance to buy there. Will go back.
Lots of things car old tags, badges and jewelry to much more. Put prices on the rings YOU MISSED A POTENTIAL SELL!
I have been visiting Back In Thyme in Boulder City, Nevada for many years. I have kept a home in Las Vegas since 1949. The owner Glena Dunn is friendly, helpfull, and above all honest to a fault! She has recently asked me to help out at her store while she is buying, publishing, and generally taking care of the business side of running a small shop. On a recent day in the store, a couple from Sidney, Australia, remarked that Back In Thyme was the friendliest store in Boulder City! Her Christmas inventory is beautiful, her design talent is incomparable!!
Selection, entire store is great. Turquoise and silver to die for.
Hateful old man behind the counter. Strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.
The minute you walk into this store you are under a microscope, I went here many years ago when I was in school and spent money to buy gifts for my family and not much has changed in ten years...the man who works in the store is very strange and have heard many different things about him, the owner is unfriendly, I was born and raised in Boulder City, NV and I am not sure if this kind of people belong here. do not trust them with your gold or silver because my two best friends were ripped off terribly, JAKE
Bill is a really cool cat
