Hello there again on the reviews, this time i ate here i was satisfied with the spicy flavor of the chicken fries that i tried, i notice that always are a lot of people here and i think it is for the good flavor, i do really recommend this place is relaxing and good service, will come back again when have the chance.
Order the chicken fingers and they were perfectly done. With breast can be very tricky and they got it down, were they are not dried up. (Over fried) The grizzly garlic sauce is so darn good. For being my first time there I was amazed. Next time I want to try the wings and buffalo fries. Gave them a four but after I try those item will be the final taste test!! Highly recommend them!!!
The chicken tenders were good. The tenders themselves dont have much flavor but the sauces are very good. I had the mild and Cajun dipping sauces with the tenders.
Great cook, food was perfect. Customer service was welcoming. Overall experience, Highly Recommended. Congrats to management, and well trained staff.

It was my 1st time here and they have a lot to choose from. I got the chicken fingers and they were so good. They also had so many different sauces to choose from so I got the chili lime. It had a little bit of a kick but it was good. I definitely will be going for more.
The restroom is dirty. There was flies inside the restaurant.I order a beef burger. It was fine nothing special.The fries were also fine. Crispy and dry.My mom had chicken it was to spicy for her.a lot of homeless people in that area.
So, Ive been to this place twice, and both times I have left wanting more. Let me start with the positives. The fries are excellent and they give you a really good amount with a combo. The customer service is also great. They have to deal with very long lines of people and yet are very cheery and helpful. 5 stars for the atmosphere and employees. However, I tried three things from here and was pretty disappointed with all of them. The chicken fingers I had in the sandwich and as a combo. They are not tender, and feel dried out an chewy, more so than I was expecting from this place. Drenched in their sauce (which is absolutely delicious!), it makes for an okay meal. The wings were a little more tender, which is great, but again left me wanting a little bit more tender chicken. In the end, I will probably be back the service, sauces, and fries I just cant get over. I am just leaving a little bit disappointed by the quality of the chicken.
I love the Chicken Shack! Unfortunately for my friends I always come home with the hottest of hot sauces (we are talkin Hades Hot, yall!) and I love their shoestring fries, and even though I dont bother to call my order in ahead of time, I never have to wait more than just a few minutes...Its all I ask for in a restaurant, great food, good service and polite staff.
Located deep in the center of downtown Fresno, this hidden gem will certainly fill any fried chicken craving that you may have. I ordered the chicken sandwich and boy, it was delicious. the chicken sandwich was made from real piece of chicken breast that may very well be battered in deliciousness. My wife ordered the wings and we were both pleasantly surprised to see how large these wings were. The only negative feedback I could give was the location. Like I mentioned earlier, this restaurant is located in downtown fresno. So, expect to see some homeless people walking by. Other than that, I would definitely visit this place again.
Good food, But the thing that gets me mad is that they are getting more expensive! Not just the food but the drinks too.I also got fries last time and they were too salty, so salty it was nasty to continue eating them. Then today the fries were soft and sawgy. If your going to make it that expensive atleast prep the food with morr care. But other than that its good food and it will full you.
Delicious fried chicken and shoestring fries. Moist and crunchy! Limited menu of chicken fingers, wings, or sandwich with selection of sides (sold separate) and large variety of dipping sauces (i believe made in house). Cold beer on tap and bottle and inside/ outside seating. Lunch rush can be a little hectic wait until after or go for dinner.

Love the chicken fingers!! And the dipping sauces theyve included made me want more!! Tangy BBQ sauce was good but Hot BBQ sauce was the BEST!! definitely coming back!!
Chicken Shack is a real treat if you like chicken. I love the wings and all the variety of sauces and spices you can get. Worth trying at least once.
Not loving paying parking meters to get a bite to eat reminds me of San Francisco but anyway... this is a cool spot if your in the mood for some chicken, i love boneless wings so I ordered the chicken fingersglad I read some reviews prior to eating here someone mentioned sauce on the side vs tossed in the sauce I chose the latter tossed in honey BBQ sauce they could of been soaked more than they were but they still tasted good, they were large pieces so no complaints on portionsthe shoestring French fries were hot and good, the BBQ baked beans also gets a thumbs up, the potato salad was not it tho I didnt like it at all but it didnt ruin the rest of my meal, the customer service was cool too the lady behind the counter was friendly and had the long line moving fastthey prices are a tad bit high but the chicken is good just remember when ordering to specify you want your wings tossed in the sauce of your choosing or you want the sauce on the side

Our QUITE LARGE order was put together and ready when we arrived, including ALL the complimentary sauces and the extras I paid for. Quote from my son thats some good ranch. Keep it up!
Placed an order for pick up by phone today with a woman who was working the front register. The order was a 3 wing and 3 chicken figure combo. After I gave her my order she told me my order would be ready in 10min. I arrived 15min after our call ended. When I arrived at the counter she gave me my total and proceeded to charge my card to my surprise they were unable to do so because their WIFI was down. I asked her if there was another way she could charge me.The young woman told me she was unable to do so and will not be able to give me my food.She also went on to tell me that the problems with the WiFi have been going on for about 30min. So this is a problem she dealt with before I placed my order.This brings up the question-Why didnt she warn me or suggested a cash payment?!?!?As a business owner who uses Square I know this young woman could have done more but instead chose not to do so. Why, I have not idea.Here are a few options for you. (For future reference)1. Square has the ability to run off of a Hotspot. I have had this problem in the past. Inconsistent WiFi here in the Central Valley is common.2. Square offers an offline mode. Usually not suggested but for a small transaction like this why not?Last thing-This issue was on chicken shacks end not mine.. Its not like I didnt have the money. You made me waste 30min of my time and didnt give my food.Why wouldnt you offer me the free meal? Are you going to reheat it and serve it to someone else!?!?It was a combo for 1 person!This entire situation made no sense to me and the more I think about it the more upset it makes me.Wont be coming back for a while!

Wonderful atmosphere staff on point with customers and orders. The best chicken dishes in town. Staff always polite when in restaurant. Variety of people that work there and super friendly as well.
So many sauces! The chicken is well made, the fries were a bit on the soft side. The sauces and the chicken are the best things there.

Their food is good. Theyre a bit pricy though. I dont like how they claim a lemon pepper chicken is the sauce cause you chose lemon pepper. Makes no sense to me.
I ordered the buffalo chicken fries and they were delicious I paid about $ 11.00 with out the drink would be dollar less. It was really busy and they only had one available cash register. If they set up kiosk where you can order and pay would speed up the lines and probably increase there revenue. 4 stars because I had to wait.
I cite this venue as over rated. The food is good. That is it. It sits at what is known as Renoir corner in Fulton Mall. Everyone goes there. While there is a Sushi and Ramen establishment adjacent to it that does not see much as much business. Go figure?

Ive always wanted to try this ever since I found out about it, and thankfully they opened up one of these in Fresno!In my opinion, it has lived up to my own personal hype! The chicken is always served steaming hot (good thing).I recently tried the Chicken Sandwich and it was great!Will definitely be coming back regularly!
Excellent food the burgers are surprisingly well done considering its a chicken joint plus they beer on tap and they offer limited dinning at the moment

First visit to the Chicken Shack. Have wanted to try it for some time. I got a combo of wings and fingers. You have a choice of a variety of about 8 different dipping sauces. The chicken had a nice crunch, but I felt a little under seasoned. Kind of a blank canvas to the sauces. The fingers were a bit dry to my taste, but I like dark meat for that reason. Very busy at lunch time.
The service was good. They had at least a dozen tap handles however only two types of swill beer and none of the delicious craft beer advertised on the windows (that was why we went in). The chicken was crispy but really greasy. The sauces were thickened and tasted a bit gelatinous. The street music was incredibly loud making it an awkward place to sit, eat and try to talk. Wont be back.
You can’t go wrong with the fingers and fries. Love the shoe strings fries... Good chicken is comfort food and came away feeling perfectly satisfied.
Buffalo fries are delish...dont forget to add the Mac n cheese!

Chick filet makes some great chicken, but The Chicken Shack is amazing!! There tenders are huge and juicy. Their garlic fries are nothing to sneeze at either...but you better like garlic😃

Im visiting from South Carolina and Im excited to get to try this place. I was across the street at CArt Hop (food truck). I order the 6 piece cut wings for $8.50 the flavor I choose was hot honey habanero. But I requested it on the side because I wasnt sure if I would like it but Man its delicious. It gives me a Smoked heated BBQ flavor. The wings are crispy but I can tell they are NOT seasoned therefore never order plain wings because it wouldnt have a flavor. Hopefully before I leave I plan to try other flavors of sauces.

Very bad customer service and professionalism. Placed a order and items were missing. As well as I ordered mac & cheese but when arriving to get my order they said they sold out awhile ago. When I could have ordered something else. Tried to get my money back and return the incorrect order but they did not want to. Employees/Supervisors should be retrained.

Not Good at all very salty and for 2 chicken strips old French fries and a bowl of mac n cheese and a small soda $17.00 !Working downtown, have very little choice, Sub way is very clean and fast since we are limited to time. Lillies mexican food is good, however I try to stay out of there, theyre prices increase every year, and I been working downtown for 18 yrs., their menu changes alot I mean you can only do so much with mexican food.
This is the first time that I have eaten from The Chicken Shack. I found that the tenders were tough & a bit dryer than I like Fries were fine for shoestring fries. The Pink Lemonade was a tad to sweet. I probably will not order from them in the future.
Great food, Great Sevice, Ill drive from LA to Fresno any day for such a well portioned meal and such buque of flavors.

Well concidering all the hype about this place i cant say it lived up to it. I had a #4 3 strip and 3 wings with fries soda and a beer. The best thing was the shoe string fries they were crispy good salt good for dipping. Suaces were good but everyone I picked was an extra $0.59 the meal came with 3 they need to have the ones that cost not listed with the free ones. The wings were good nothing special good with sauce. The chicken strip were over cooked and though to chew. Service was good beer selection good. Location no parking metered parking.

Expected more from this restaurant due to high reviews but I ordered the buffalo style fries and for the portion size it was quite small for $10 also the fries were really salty so thats a no for me. On the bright side staff is polite.
Horrible burger and fries... I went last year for the first time I was super impressed and thought it was the best burger I ever had. Little by little the burgers and fries started to get nasty, no flavor smaller patty. Now the fries are not even seasoned.. the bun is way too big for the patty. I’m very disappointed. I think I will now go back to Red Robin’s. And just a suggestion. You guys should really put sauce on the bread. Maybe some thousand island ??? Something, anythingMayo atleast !Dry buns are not good on every bite.

I’m rating because the burgers and fries are the best here, the chicken here was a disappointing it was dry and just unsatisfying, chick-fil-a still has the best chicken sandwiches very juicy and delicious, but anyway burger and fries are bomb and thats all I go here for.
Everytime I come here I always had a great experience until today. My order always comes with a dipping sauce. My receipt clearly states on it (1 dipping sauce) and yet they wanted me to pay for it. Horrible customer service never have I ever had to pay for my sauce unless I got extra. My boyfriend and I both got orders so we should of received two dipping sauce but nope they wanted us to pay for them. Wont be back too bad cause I loved this place. Felt super rude of them! I feel like all employees should be on the same page.
Experience has been good the past 3 times I’ve taken my family there. Portions are good. The only problem I have is the chicken which should be the star here! The chicken has been tough and dry. The only thing that helps this chicken is all the sauces they offer. Could be better though.

Phenomenal shoestring fries, overcooked/tough chicken. I visited here for lunch, after seeing a co-worker with his to go box and showing me a peek and taking a whiff! I ordered the chicken sandwich combo (includes fries and a drink). The sandwich and fries LOOK amazing! Fries are perfect. However, first bite in the chicken sandwich thought it was a fluke how tough the meat was, but after reading another review seems to be consistent. Will be back for fries and I will get a beef burger instead.
Wing Stop has NOTHING on THE CHICKEN SHACK! Great food. Great service. Good prices. My new favorite wings stop!
