I chose Absolutely Creative Customs to purchase and install a new radio in my 2017 Subaru Forester with Apple CarPlay. They were punctual, knowledgeable, professional, and went above and beyond! They had reasonable prices and did an AWESOME job. When my partner drove me to pick up my car, his car actually died right outside. The associate or owner came outside, worked on his car, and got him a new battery.I highly recommend this company!
I came to Joe early 2017. He did a phenomenal job on my jeep build. He is now working on a 86’ Ford Bronco for us. He listened to our story of why my mom and I decided to restore the Bronco and has become personally involved in this build. Absolutely Creative Customs is by far the best audio shop I have ever been to.
Joe replaced the sound system in my little truck and I couldn’t be happier!! My music sounds amazing now, I’m so happy I contacted them to work on it.
Joe did an awesome job upgrading the sound system on my 1966 Ford Bronco. The job required a fair amount of fabrication (cutting through the metal dash, console subwoofer placement, etc.), and I felt comfortable that Joe and his crew were up to the task----they went above and beyond! Much appreciated!
Joe has done awesome work on my work van. He installed 2 fans in the ceiling, upgraded my electrical system inside of van, topped it off with a sweet solar panel system on top. There is a problem with the people we got our parts from and it would definitely set me back from working in my van because he is booked out a month but he said he willing to put the effort to get me up and running. I would recommend this guy to anyone. Thank you Joe!
Ive gone to Joe now three times over three vehicles over the past 6 years. Would go back again, and again, and again. He does awesome work, is super honest, and true-to-his-name is very flexible and works hard to customize the work based on what I need. If youre considering, dont hesitate: youll be happy with what you get.
I took my Tesla Model 3 to Joe to have audio installed. He wrote up a great quote for my desired experience and went to work. It was a uniquely challenging install, but Joe made my car sound as good as my production studio reference. Attention to detail, communication, knowledge, care and honesty made this a great experience. There aren’t many people who would focus on a job like this. Really really pleased. Thanks Joe. I’ll be back with any custom audio work.
I’ve never left a negative review in my life. I don’t want to do it here. But I feel compelled to do so, based on my experience at this shop.I brought my 2017 RAM Promaster here to have a KENWOOD head unit and Focal woofer/tweeter setup installed, prior to me converting it into a camper. I chose this shop because I wanted to support a small, local business. Unfortunately, the job was so thoroughly botched that I’ve since spent almost twice as much as I did on the original install just trying to fix the innumerable problems that have resulted from their work.Where do I begin? First, after a discussion in which I asked for JUST the wiring to be installed, he went ahead and installed the entire system - amp, cabinets and speakers, head unit and all - without asking. This was problematic because I needed the amp and cabinets to fit around the upcoming build.Next, I had countless problems with the rear backup camera, the odometer flashing (I later found out that’s a CAN bus error code, but no one has been able to discern where the faulty wiring may be) and, most importantly, a constantly-draining starter battery post-install. This is all PRIOR to me installing any auxiliary house electrical system. I took it back for the backup camera to be fixed, whereupon someone at ACC cut out a space in the OEM camera-holder for a third-party camera that they glued in. That camera stopped working about a month later, so I later had to have a whole new OEM unit installed, since the original holder was damaged. I also found out that they had ripped/carved out the tabs that hold the original OEM head radio unit in place, which means that if I needed to reinstall that head unit (which, on this model vehicle, you do if the battery dies), I’d need to replace the whole dash panel.Joe’s style of communication was so irritable, impatient, unreliable and fraught with unprofessionalism (as if I were inconveniencing him with the problems that resulted from his install), despite me acquiescing to his premature installation, that I decided to say f*** it and go to the other Focal car audio distributor in the Front Range, PDA Road Gear. They found that the module and harness ACC had used were obsolete, and that the wiring to steering controls wasn’t properly connected or constructed. They replaced all of that, but my problem persisted. Odom kept flashing, battery kept dying, etc.I could go on, but suffice to say I’m still dealing with this nightmare. I’ve had to have my vehicle towed because the only head unit that will stay in now is the one that drains the battery. I’ve had the wiring examined by multiple mechanics, car audio and electrical shops, all concluding that the matrix of f***ed up wires is too insane to try to remedy, and that I should just do a fresh install of the OEM unit (which can’t support all the channels I had installed, nor can it support the amp).I’ve spent close to 8K just trying to fix the install I had done here. To say I’m angry would be an understatement.
I took my 21 Tacoma to Joe after realizing the factory premium audio was a joke. Not only did he walk me through the entire process but it was also clear exactly how much time and attention to detail went into it. When I got it back, I was completely blown away - beautiful clarity through the entire volume range and a sweet custom bass enclosure that took up almost no usable space. Within a month I realized I had to upgrade our home theater setup because I got spoiled on the truck!
Great service and quality tuners. We had a new headset installed and they really took the time to get it tuned with our amp and sub and also teach us how to use all the features with our smartphones. Highly recommended!
AC Customs is the one stop shop for audio work and custom fabrication. I am very particular with who works on my FJ Cruiser and went to many different audio shops including some in Denver. I ended up picking AC Customs and I am very glad I did. Ask for Joe, he was very helpful and gave me a great deal.
Great work! Absolutely recommend Joe and his team. He worked the weekend to be sure I was able to get our car back on a Monday. He delivered a great sounding solution even with our limited budget. ACC has earned their 5 star rating!
I reached out to Joe because he is 1 of 2 sundown audio dealers in the state of colorado. I live in the metro area and decided to go with ac customs because i had reached out to him in the past and wanted to finally work with him.My situation was interesting to say the least. I had a 70% completed project, and wanted a shop to do the rest. I have been doing car audio as a hobby for a few years now, but dont find myself confident enough to make a proper subwoofer enclosure. Thats where joe comes in. I called him and we talked for 30 minutes on the phone. Joe took time to hear what i wanted and gave me real life examples of Similar work he had done in the past. I let him know that i had already completed most of the work, and he was good with picking up where i left off. Not many places will do that. It gave me alot of respect for Joe, and his confidence made me comfortable with the project.Joe built me a ported box for 4 Sundown X8v.3 subwoofers. I have a small 2000 ford ranger, so space is tight. The box dimensions where really strict and joe didnt have much room to work with. He did a blow through into the bed and mounted the box super tight. He was able to accomplish every desire i had. The work is super clean and top notch. I had cut away alot of plastic to expose the back of the cab. It was really ugly. Joe offered to build a beauty panel in order to cover everything back up, and give the truck a stock feel. It looks amazing, and sounds really good. It was all for a really good price too!If I need audio work done again in the future, i will definitely be giving Joe a call. The only thing i would change about my experience is the communication. There was one instance where it was almost a week before i got a call back. I would have liked to be kept in the loop more. At the end of the day, the work quality was amazing and thats what i payed for. Joe also worked until 10pm to make sure he met the deadline.
Joe and the team at AC Customs recently did a great job upgrading the speakers and adding an amp in my new 2021 Crosstrek, putting in a great Focal setup. I had done a little bit of my own research and picked out some speakers, but Joe recommended a full Focal setup due to the speakers being far superior to the ones I had picked out. In our initial phone call, Joe explained in detail to me the setup he was proposing and the advantages of going with the Focal setup with the amp. He also sent over a quote for the project, which he stuck to, even though the project ended up taking a little longer than he had originally anticipated.Joe and AC Customs supplied all the speakers, the amp, and all the wiring and associated equipment for the install. After the install was finished, the sound quality wasnt quite as good as I had hoped, and Joe and his team dropped the project they were working on to pull my car into the shop to upgrade one of the components for me. It sounds great now, and they have a lifetime warranty on the installation, which is nice too.Id highly recommend Joe and his team at AC Customs for anyone looking for a top-notch shop for audio upgrades and installations.
Update From 2021:Went back to have my equipment installed in a Chevy Suburban with the addition of a JL Audio FiX86.We discussed approaches to sub installation so as not to consume cargo space. In response to a related concern about installation approach, I was toldAs a professional full service car audio shop, we dont turn audio systems out of our shop that would ever have bolts rattling. I dropped my vehicle off for about 2 weeks over my winter break.I picked it up and found that it had a lot of rattling and vibration. In light of the above statement and the lifetime warranty, I had them address it. Was asked to drop it off for a day or two.Got it back about a week later and was told they had tracked every rattle down and addressed it.I paid an additional $450 to cover additional material and labor, though this was discounted because it should have been done the first time. This is now a VERY expensive subwoofer install of a sub I already owned. It still rattles one of the trim panels. And the system is set up for minimum gain on the amp and I was told to keep the head unit below 1/2 volume.A trim piece that was removed to run wiring is now loose and interferes with parking brake release. A trim piece that covers a tie down bolt in the back is missing.I have brought all of these concerns up over the past week and in two emails over the course of two days. I have yet to get any acknowledgement of the need for remediation. No phone call. No return emails. Im getting the impression Im being ignored. Responses were prompt before the bill was paid.So far, this has been disappointing to say the least, especially considering the cost, and that my stock audio system did NOT rattle before this project, even if I maxed it out. Now I have one that I have to treat with kid gloves (cant drive it too hard), and it rattles the trim panels. Yes, Im angry. Im out a couple grand, for a system I dont even want to listen to right now because of the rattle. In my opinion, being a high quality shop that prides itself in craftsmanship means being quick to address issues, not avoiding them. From 2017:I bought a 2015 Subaru Outback Limited thinking Id enjoy the Premium audio system. In reality it was pure garbage. Sounded terrible and the head unit interface was awful and buggy. I was so disgusted by it that I pretty much stopped listening to music in my car and was in the process of shopping for a whole new vehicle. Then I thought about how much more economical it would be to just replace the audio, and I started looking into it. A Subaru owners forum had a thread about a guy who had a pretty sweet system put into his Outback, where they built a stealth enclosure for a JL sub in his spare tire well, without having to move anything out of there.I stopped into a local chain store and was less than thrilled with the whole experience. Not great solutions, questionable install, questionable knowledge. So I hit Google for Car Audio Near Me and drove right to the highest rated one in the list, which brought me to Joe at AC Customs. When I walked in, Erica greeted me and asked how she could help, and it took about a minute before Joe came out of the shop and introduced himself.I looking into all the components and found them all to be highly rated everywhere I looked.A week later I dropped off the car for a week, as I was leaving town anyway, and figured that would give them plenty of time to work without any rush.I came back to a completely new audio experience. My music sounds fantastic. Its loud. Its crisp. Its full sounding. To look at my car, youd never know anything had been done, except the Head Unit was different. Other than that, it looks totally stock.USB ports were expertly installed to look like they belong there. The SUB level knob was nicely hidden under the dash, out of sight but easily reached. The custom SUB box in the spare tire well is perfect. Great craftsmanship.I did discover, late, that they never did the Maestro integration programming the way I had asked them to.
Wonderful experience with Joe, Erica and crew. My truck sounds _WAY_ better and I love the fact that I now have 2020 tech in a 2002 vehicle. I did have to wait several weeks in the cue, but that is the price one pays for such high quality work. So glad I bypassed Car Toys for ACC. Thanks ACC!!
AC Customs had installed several stereos for me over the years and the sound quality and craftsmanship is always TOP NOTCH. If you want sounds quality and the job done right go to AC Customs!
My car feels absolutely transformed after the work they did. My 06 Porsche Cayman S is fun to drive, but the electronics were old and made the car feel old.I now have new speakers, new subwoofer, new amp, high end head unit, and a backup camera. Completely transformed the experience of driving the car, it feels a lot like a new/modern car. What I really liked was the effort put into fit + finish so that my car still looked OEM afterward (by request, they can fabricate all kinds of things if you want a different look). It looks nice, sounds nice, and works nice.Pricing was fair, and I really liked going to a local place run by professionals who I was confident wouldnt ruin my car.
ACC upgraded the awful Mercedes Sprinter van sound system to something we can now really enjoy. The quality of work and attention to detail met our high expectations. Joe worked closely with us to design a system that suites our listening style while cruising in a big ugly cargo van that’s been converted to a camper...thanks to Joe and team!
Beyond thrilled with the work that Joe and his team did on my 2018 Subaru Forester! I had a big audio upgrade done (subwoofer with custom enclosure/amp/head unit/speakers/etc) and the care and passion for quality is apparent. I cannot recommend ACC enough!
Worth it! Makes such a difference in my car and looks so nice and neat and clean!!!
Awesome! Joe did a great job of talking with me to see what was best for my mint condition 1986 Mustang GT. They had to build custom kick panels in the front by your feet to add large front speakers and matched the color and style of the car. A place in the back hatch had to be found for the amp and mounting it to the back of the back seat was nicely done. In addition, the subwoofer custom box made in the back hatch was perfectly done and they added a nice chrome trim piece for accent. Being the original owner, the car never had a good stereo, now you can crank it up and you hear only the music, not even the high performance V8 can compete. Very nice job.
Joe and his team will handle any job, big or small. My custom work was quickly done in a day and gave me a life-time warranty on their work. I would definitely recommend going back for more work.
Great service!! Truck sounds amazing! Do recommend
They installed a front/back camera in my Buick. It works well! Unfortunately I was the last job of the day but they stayed on to get it done. Experienced and provided high-quality work. I definitely recommend them.
Joe knows! Seriously, this guy is the real deal. He is a wealth of knowledge, very friendly, honest, and pays close attention to the details. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Joe just completed a custom sound system in my GMC pickup. He understood what I wanted, provided his input, and then delivered. Joe will definitely take his time to ensure the end product is done right. He is honest and sincerely cares about his customers. My new system sounds and looks amazing!
I was quoted an astronomical price from Car Toys so I did some digging around for a good shop near me. ACC came in markedly cheaper and did great work on my truck! I look forward to getting more work done by them in the future.
My experience here was really good! We had a bit of a hiccup, but they dealt with it very well and I ended up leaving very satisfied. Highly recommend!
Terrible service.. picked an appointment at 9:30 in the morning, they said by noon it will be done, and they never finished what has been asked. Very bad service, won’t recommend it!
Got some great sounding speakers and wiring done. It sounds great and was the best offer in Boulder.
I was looking for an alternative to the big box stores and I found ACC to be a refreshing personal experience. Their prices were competitive, the install worked great and overall Im pleased. Highly recommended.
I am Extremely fascinated by the customer service, the installation and quality of work, But most of All, I feel is the most important, is the Integrity of the man behind the work; Joe is at the top of this mountain. I had quite a few items installed in my vehicle without a hitch. There was a power issue found by Joe and was resolved by him personally at no charge. Best Audio Install anywhere! Bug Free Installations, but even if there may be an issue, Joe will take care of it; he backs his work.
It has been several months since ACC did a complete system for my 2019 Tacoma. I think that the speakers are now fully broken in and the truck sounds amazing! The truck has a Kenwood head unit, Focal flax speakers including sub, and a Gladen power amp. I love the overall presence of the music and it has been fun to hear new things in all my music. The whole team was very professional and worked closely with me to get the system I wanted. I will never be able to go back to stock now. Thank you AC Customs.
Great experience with Joe, Erica and the team at Absolutely Creative Customs. After a horrific experience walking in to Car Toys, I walked out, checked Google and drove down the street to ACC. Joe immediately understood my needs, selected a great product for me and had it installed the next day. I would not go anywhere else for my car audio needs!
High quality stereo products within any budget. Car system sounds great (installed about a month ago) for the price range I wanted to stay within. Joe and his staff are excellent and will cater to the needs of the customer. Highly recommended audio shop.
Joe the owner seems very knowledgeable about car audio. Prices seemed fair and reasonable for a private, non-chain, audio shop. After initially having problems with my audio install, what was supposed to be just a day drop off, turned into nearly 48 hours. Joe did his best to make sure I was happy and that included going out of his way to find me a 3rd party head unit that would work well with my audio setup- so it would sound halfway decent.
I cannot say enough about Joe, Erica and the Absolutely Creative Customs team. I have a 2019 Leisure Travel Van on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. The factory stereo/nav system and the backup camera were substandard to say the least. I live in the west slope of Colorado, and I searched for a shop here to do the work with no luck. I did a google search for the Denver area and called Joe after reading the reviews. I explained that I wanted a top quality stereo, backup camera, front camera, and blind spot cameras. Joe gave me choices of components and a very reasonable, professional estimate. I drove the van to Boulder and had ACC do the work. I could not be more pleased with quality of workmanship. Everything integrated perfectly and works exactly as Joe had promised. The final price was as quoted. The 600 mile trip was certainly worth every mile to have a perfect job done. It was a pleasure to work with Absolutely Creative Customs.
Awesome guys, great service and excellent price.
Excellent in all respects. My project was to install a Street Guardian dual-camera dash cam system in my Toyota Camry along with two 12v LED lamps connected to the rear turn signals that appear in the rear camera frame. Joe Loschke, the owner, was initially a bit timid towards installing the camera since he had no experience with it but after reviewing the installation instructions undertook the job. He and his helper did an excellent job in performing this installation. He also did a superb job of installing the two turn signal LEDs making sure they were compatible with the Toyota wiring system. Absolutely Creative Customs clearly lived up to its reputation for first-rate installations and I highly recommend them for normal and for particularly challenging projects. I found their charges reasonable for the high quality work.
Clear and straightforward information as well as flexibility in helping me out with repair and installation. Thank you for getting my audio up and running smoothly!
Had a really great experience working with Absolutely Creative Customs. Here was my experience with other shops prior to ACC. I had been to two other audio stores over the past few months trying to install a simple subwoofer setup in my Audi. The first place did an absolutely terrible job. The components were not up to par, the first sub blew, the second had a tendency to pop every time the car was turned on. When I got back to Colorado, I took it to a shop closer to the boulder area. They told me how terrible the setup was and that they wanted to replace everything but the amp which they did. This time, the wiring was done incorrectly and they drilled through the body of the car after telling them not to. I left my car for 4 days at the airport and it completely died but ended up turning over so I could drive it home. I took it back to the shop where they lied to me saying there was no trickle at all leaving the battery. The next time the car was left it would not even start and ended up being towed. After getting my battery replaced at audi for about $500 I decided it was time to settle this once and for all. I stumbled upon Absolutely Creative Customs and brought my car there. They did extensive testing and found massive battery drain from the amp. They completely rewired everything and my car is better than it has been for the past 8 months. The audio sounds great, the battery is holding it’s charge and there is 0 pop from the amp. I couldn’t recommend these guys any more. If you live in the area and are looking for a great audio shop, this is the ONLY option. My experience elsewhere was awful, don’t waste your time at other shops. Will go back for any future audio needs. Thanks again ACC!
Amazing service. I was looking for a place that could find out why my subs werent working and because Best Buy put them in, I was adamant on going back to them. After Best Buy cancelled 2 auto-tech appointments over a month and a half period, I decided to look on google for other places. Absolutely Creative Customs popped up first. I went in and not only was my appointment taken on the day I called, but Joe did some tests and diagnostics on my car and switched out my amp for a completely new amp FOR FREE. Granted the amp I bought was under warranty for a year, but still, the turnaround was super quick and no work had to be done on my end. In the end I only had to pay for service hours on the 2 days they worked on it, the install legit took 15 minutes, and I was driving away with fully functional subs only 2 days after my initial call. If I ever have a need for car services in the future, this will be my only choice.
I was looking for a budget friendly stealth install for 2 12 inch subs in a 2009 lexus es350 with parts provides. Joe did a fantastic job, he’s extremely knowledgeable about what he does. i couldnt be happier. Wires were all covered and hidden very well, engine bay looks OEM still. Transparent pricing and my estimate was exactly what I was told.I’m definitely going to come back for future installs and work
Great experience and fair price! Joe also kept his word and honored the warranty even though its been rejected by the manufacturer. Would defiantly recommend here.
2002 Audi AllroadI initially bought some items from Car Toys and online retailers and had an appointment at car toys to install my stereo. However I was not feeling confident after I asked Car Toys for a printed estimate on everything and saw the result. I asked my guys at Autohaus if they knew anyone and so that is where I got Joes name and shop from. I immediately knew he was the real deal when I asked about the set-up. There would not be a big box (80s style) sub-woofer in the back it would be custom fit into one of the side panels as the amp would as well.So I returned everything and went with Joe. I love the clean finish but most of all the stereo sounds awesome! I did my first snowboard trip to Breckenridge and just loved the drive with the music sounding so good! Its a little bit more money but worth it if you are particular about you sound and as importantly the installation.
Fantastic. Focal speakers are great. 100% comfortable with their knowledge, commitment and craftsmanship. Fair price. Its a busy shop and thats because they are pros.
It was a pleasure working with the team at Absolutely Creative Customs, I told them what I was looking for and they delivered on time and it was exactly what they promised. I will certainly use them again.
Great shop ran by an honest owner.Clean reliable wiring and high quality custom fabrication work. The install Joe and his team did of DynAudio components in hand built kick panels sounds amazing. They complimented them perfectly with a custom built subwoofer box that is playing clean and low.I feel the total experience was a great value!!I recommend anyone with any budget get in touch with Absolutely Creative Customs.
Always have been able to work with me to get to the best sound, amazing look, and professional installation within my budget.
Im extremely happy with the job Joe did on my system! He worked very hard on my system to make it sound right for my ears. After the initial install, the system sounded too tizzy. Too much highs. Too bright. Joe took the highs down 10db. It sounded better, but not quite right. Joe got a new piece of equipment that could tune my equalizer better and emailed me right away. After he had my system for about an hour and a half, he found and corrected spikes at 1 Kkz and and even bigger one at 11 Khz. He was able to correct them, and now my system sounds incredible! Gone is that annoying abrasiveness that I couldnt correct no matter what I did. The system isnt fatiguing to listen to as before. No longer is there anything that the system does badly. Its now an incredible system to listen to, and the only thing I do from time to time is boost the bass on some thinly recorded live performances, and turn down the subwoofer when needed. Its cost me a lot of money in cds, though, because now I want to listen to lots of things that I only have on vinyl. Yeah, I know Im old fashioned. But I know a good sound system -- and I got one from Absolutely Creative Customs!
Joe has been working on my car stereos for almost 10 years. I went in today after 3 years of flawless audio because something didnt sound right. Joe took the time to take a look at my car and was able to diagnose and replace the faulty part within 45 minutes. Customer service is always amazing and the whole team at ACC really cares about their final product and customers. Wouldnt take my car anywhere else!
They did a great job of adding in a back up camera to my BRZ. They also put in a new radio to work with the new camera, and added a USB port (from the new radio) in the area between the seats and finished it off nicely.
Joe is fantastic - stopped in last week to give him my goals and drop off my iPad Mini 2 mount to be fabricated into my STi radio bezel. Due to pick it up tomorrow, very excited to see Joes work. I will follow up this review with an update.Hoping to do a complete stereo overhaul with my Subaru with Joes help.
Friendly & knowledgeable folks providing quality work with attention to detail!
Joe was a real pleasure to work with!Short version:He provided me with a great install on a sub, on short notice, and at a great price. The experience has made this shop my first choice now with future projects (hopefully later this year!).Long version:I like to think I know a bit about car audio, having completed 4 installs myself on previous cars, but I didnt want to mess my current car up.Joe was super easy to work with. I walked in on a Saturday for a sub installation that I had previously messed up. ACC was able to get me on their schedule that same day, had no problems with my supplied gear (most installers typically dislike this, and had I known what gear ACC carries, I would have just bought my gear there), and built me an amp rack as well. After speaking to Joe for a while, it became clear that this guy really knows his car audio. Just from looking around, they also carry premium brands that most other installers dont have in the area, major plus because that means you can get affordable gear without sacrificing quality.Very fair prices, and from seeing his other installs, I can confirm that his installs are top notch. No shortcuts, everything is done with attention to detail. If you want something done right, go see ACC.
Brought my car in and they had me out an hour later fast service will recommend to my friends!
Great service! These guys helped me with my wiring, which a different car audio company botched. 10/10 would go again.
Joe (the owner) is a great dude, got a great set of speakers and sub for an inexpensive price. No other car audio in Boulder area compares.
Great shop. Seriously very nice.
Great equipment and great installation!
Joe is awesome
Very nice!
Worst customer service!
