She made great strides in dealing with a problem that two other hearing specialists failed to solve in several years of trying. I first got hearing aids from Family Hearing in Louisville 7 years ago and just used them again for new hearing aids. As a musician, its crucial that I am protecting my hearing, while maintaining the ability to monitor live music. I use Sensaphonics, which require a PERFECT fit, being that they are a full silicone mold. I visited multiple local practices, and paid for impressions each time, only to have them done incorrectly. Finally, I visited Family Hearing, where they knew exactly what to do to ensure a proper inner-ear impression. Im a proud owner of the Sensaphonics 3MAX in-ear monitors. Ive never used a more comfortable monitor, and through my experience, I know that could not have been guaranteed anywhere other than Family Hearing. Their prices are higher then others in the area for the exact same items and packages.For example their active high performance aids were $7490. At an audiologist in Louisville it is priced at 6440 for the exact same thing. Another place in Boulder is 6190.00. The services that they came with were identical: same warranty, fittings, free battery’s, repairs, cleanings, etc.I went here because someone posted that they had affordable hearing aids - i was so disappointed. My heart just dropped when I heard the prices. The quiet line (2nd tier from bottom) was 4990.00 in Lafayette the same line was 3440.00The best part was the audiologist. She really tried to help me out and offered financing (you end up paying a lot more 7440 doing that), and they would accept the 2k my insurance pays but I cannot afford to drop over 5k during a pandemic. There was no difference between Family Hearings packages and another Boulder hearing center except that Family Hearing charges over a thousand dollars more.

Jennifer was personal, highly professional and took time to educate and explain things and the center and staff were attentive and well set up to accommodate Covid precautions. A number of family members have been going to The Family Hearing Center for years and Ive been recommending them to many of my own patients and friends. PARENTS – AVOID AT ALL COSTWe have a young child who needed a new set of hearing aids. She needed them urgently, to help her with challenges in kindergarten, difficulties of hearing her teachers and friends. When we came to the appointment with the audiologist HANNA PAGE we went through a long discussion over choosing the hearing aids and ear-mold, including colors etc. In spite of highlighting how important it was for this to be processed urgently, it took a few weeks, and many phone calls, before Family Hearing moved this forward and ordered the hearing aids. We then received a phone call to book the appointment in which the ear-mold would be fitted. When we arrived, Hanna approached us and said she wont be able to fit the ear-mold because they do not have the right equipment to do that! I was shocked! We have wasted almost a month waiting for hearing aids for which they cannot fit the ear-mold. When I confronted Hanna about this, she tried making excuses such saying that she told us in the first appointment that they wont be able to fit the mold – which is obviously a lie to cover her lack of care and professionalism – why would we move forward with an order they cannot fulfill, and thereby waste our time, if we knew they cannot complete it? And why would Family Hearing order the hearing aids if they could not fit the ear-mold? This is a severe case of negligence – and my child has to “pay” for this horrible treatment. Parents, if you care for your child (and im sure that you do), stay away from this provider.

This was the fourth hearing aid center I visited and because of an excellent experience, it was the last. I found Jennifer to be pleasant and very knowledgeable.My aids were fitted on 9/12/14. I just got new hearing aids from Family Hearing with strong improvements over my previous pairs. With their newer technologies, I can also make use of a remote microphone and telephone adaptor that sends sound directly into my hearing aids so that I am more connected. In my ongoing learning curve, I hope for some more incremental improvements over time -- and that is the purpose of working with a committed and highly qualified hearing aid specialist.

We went here to get ear impressions for some in-ear monitors. The staff was very fun and made just a half hour there very enjoyable. The appointment was easy to schedule and get all that we needed.

My visit was super fast and easy thanks to the friendly staff. After the checkup on what i thought was compounded earwax turned out to be an infection. And because they couldnt help me the visit was free. Their business model is fantastic and i highly recommend them. They even offered to email me pictures of my ear so i could show them to my physician.

I am the grandfather of a little girl who went to Family Hearing for new hearing aids. She found it difficult to hear her teachers and friends. Our only mistake was that we have chosen Family Hearing as her provider. They took weeks to order her hearing aids, and when it arrived they invited my son and her for an appointment, and told them they do not have the equipment to complete the hearing aid fitting. If they do this to a child who desperately needed new hearing aids, how would they treat you? Go somewhere else.
