Golden Corner Diner has been a favorite for as long as I can remember.I’ve been going since my mother used to bring me in a stroller.The owner has always made us feel at home.There is such a nice neighborhood vibe in this diner, not to mention the food is delicious!Some of my favorite things are the Spinach Pie and the omelettes.If you have room try one of their fresh cakes, made fresh every day :)

I went to a Golden Corner diner for some breakfast this morning. Ordered French toast & 2 eggs w.homefries and white toast. A coffee. I recieved my bill and it was over $16...what!Lets do math French toast 4.25; 2 eggs with homefries and toast all come together 4.50 a coffee 1.75 plus tax roughly $11. The waitress added it all up differently, French toast with 2 eggs 7.25 side of home fries 4.95 side of toast 1.75 and a coffee 1.75 plus tax 16.05. Talk about being shady! Brought it up to attention of manager she said I needed to tell waitress to place them as separate orders. How else am I supposed to explain my order to someone who should already know. Really! its my job now to know your way of pricing an item to not overcharge a customer. On top of all that she was trying to tell me I got the better deal! Paid the bill but no tip. Mind you ive been going to this diner for over 30 years. No more! You wont be seeing me there anymore. Enjoy the $5 overcharge! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
This is my go-to place. Been going for breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 13 years now. Love the staff. Food is amazing, service is great and portions are huge. You must go check it out.

One of the best places Ive had breakfast at in quite some time. My waitress was amazing and the manager bent over backwards to please me. Very down home feeling and I will be returning.
Good food, delicious. But the service was terrible, they weren’t attentive with the drinks, we ask a man but he just ignored us twice, satisfied with the food but disappointed with the service today.

Honestly, could have been better. The place is nice and comfortable inside. Huge menu, lotsa choices... Ordered a special - Meatloaf Parmesan w/Spaghetti. The meatloaf was good, but the spaghetti was meh. The marinara sauce left a puddle of clear water in the bottom of my plate. It was pretty bland - perfect for a child. Dessert choices were limited. Our waiter tried hard, but English wasnt his first language and that led to several mistakes. With so many other choices I dont think Ill be back.

I always loved the Golden CornerLast week I went and ordered the senior meatloaf platter the soup was very very delicious the mashed potatoes were excellent the zucchini was okay and the meatloaf was not good at all it didnt even taste like meatloaf but I have to say the best part was the desert rice pudding with whipped cream that was delicious
Loved this place, immediately one of my favorite diners around! I was genuinely surprised how they’ve maintained such low prices without sacrificing quality while we have been going through such a difficult economic period.
The Golden Corner is, simply put, my favorite diner ever. I am a connoisseur of well done bacon -- very crisp and uniformly dark -- and the bacon at Golden Corner is consistently excellent. Thank you, Chef(s)!

We had a great experience. It was our first time and The Omelette was delicious and the eggs were fluffy. The service was fast and efficient and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We recommend people stop by there especially for the breakfast and for the hospitality.

Growing up in Jersey Ive been to my share of diners, I must say that The Golden Corner is the quintessential New Jersey diner experience! Great food, great service, and you are treated like family. Ive probably been there 100 times over the 30+ years they have been in business and its as good as its ever been. The only negative thing I could say is I wish they were open 24hrs!Update on the covid19 situation... They were one of the late restaurants to re-open dine in and outside seating, I was really hoping they werent going to be one of the casualties that went out of business. But now that they are back open for inside/outside dining I think they must have spent the whole time they were closed cleaning, because the place is SPOTLESS, and I felt very comfortable eating there.So happy to continue to support local family owned business during this time!Thank you for everything over the years!

Used to think very highly of this place ~ and there are few wonderful servers (like AGNES who is AMAZING!). However, a family member went there recently and the order was well-done and dry (NOT as ordered). So Golden Corners solution was to omit the protein from the bill and charge them for each item on the plate (potato, beans, salad, drink), even though the only thing eaten was the salad! Bazaar. Ive never heard of such POOR service from THIS cozy diner. After hearing this, I will never EVER go there again. If THIS is their new level of service, THEY wont be around much longer. Sorry to say.

The food was mediocre! I ordered New England clam chowder and they gave me Manhattan Clam Chowder. I ordered the entree Cajon Filet with buttered corn and rice. What I got was a filet that was half cooked and half raw topped with like three TBSP of cajon seasoning, what tasted like canned corn just headed up and stale rice. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I wouldnt recommend that dish.
This place is a dang Monument and Staple of the community. Great food, prices, staff... you name it, they do it all! Someone should look into getting it on the Countys registry of Local Treasures and Historic Places, if such a list exists.

Good food good price
My girlfriend and I stop here weekly in order to get good food at reasonable prices but, also to support our local restaurants. We have been here many times and havent had any issues. The waitresses and staff are extremely friendly. We always have good conversations with the staff and owner. Prior to covid we had taken the kids to breakfast on Sundays and the staff was always friendly and great with the kids as well. For those concerned with covid here are some things to know. They are constantly cleaning and wiping service areas. All staff wears masks. All seating is socially distanced. They seem to be following all state mandated safety procedures well. As for the food, I usually get chicken parm over linguini, ham steak and eggs, or chopped steak. All portion sizes are beyond expectations and I always leave full. Have not had a bad experience yet.

Excellent take out experience. Food was fresh and delicious and packed well so nothing spilled. Pizza burger came with sauce on side so nothing was soggy when we got home.
What a wonderful dining experience, from the moment I walked in until I walked out! The food was delicious!! The turkey burger on a whole wheat brioche bun was very good! The patty was juicy, well done and well seasoned!! Beverly my waitress was excellent and very attentive! And to top things off, there were lollipops at the checkout counter!! LOL!! I will most certainly be back!My only issue was parking. But I cannot fault Golden Corner Diner. The location and the neighborhood infrastructure dictate the parking. The parking lot is small so during peak times one may have to park up the block. Still, a pleasant experience!! Thank you!!!

This is such a fantastic, family-friendly place! We had a family celebration we wanted to do over brunch and everyone at the Golden Corner was so accommodating and friendly. I called in advance and thought they would tell me they couldnt accommodate a party like ours, but they had no hesitation.We had a very large group and the restaurant was busy, but they were nothing but patient with us. Even as busy as they were, our waitress (Diana) went out of her way to make our visit fun and to help us celebrate our special occasions. On top of everything, the food was great! This place is all the things youre looking for in a Jersey diner.

Food was great, GREAT. 5* diner experience for dinner on a Friday. The snapper was perfect, the lasagna was terrific. The cheesecake was superb.Service was good. Atmosphere cozy. Ownership on site.We have been to a lot of diners, this was well worth the visit.

Ive lived locally for over a year now to Bound Brook. I always saw the same cars parked all around here. 2 weeks ago I came in and Ive been back around 5 more times since. I love the small town vibe and familiarity. Many customers seem like theyve been there for decades. Highly recommend the chicken parm and any breakfast foods. What really got me hooked is the cream of turkey soup on Sundays!
EDIT: We were told today by our waitress that they dont sell kids meals for breakfast, so we had to order regular sized meals. After seeing the large amount of leftover food, the owner suggested we order a single piece of French toast, one pancake, etc. next time. So well be doing that. FYI for all the families with small kids out there!This is our favorite local diner. We love coming here for breakfast. The coffee is frequently topped off and the food is consistently good. Pro tip: If youre ordering fresh fruit, ask for the berries. Theyre usually more fresh than the mixed fruit. Their dinners are quality, too!

Terrific little place, the staff is GREAT! the food, I havent been disappointed for the most part. I gave it 4 stars only because the prime rib come only as medium - not bad, but I like mine rare or medium rare. The cheese cake light n fluffy. The Reuben, one of the best. Well be going back every chance I get.
Food was very good. Steak was cooked perfect for us med. rare. Lamb was tender & tasty. Fish was good & presentation was appetizing. Definitely return. Oh, cheese cake was delicious.
This is a momma & poppa dinner .The food is excellent and the host Diana is a,sweet heart .The diner has a wooden charm That feels inviting .Nothing fancy but charming . .Delicious cabbage salad is brought to each table ..And everything is very reasonable priced .The waitresses staff is very nice. I like sitting in the corner booth its very private so you can enjoy your company and meal .

Went there after reading all the reviews for breakfast. I, personally am I huge fan of diners so I wanted to check it out. Its kind of small but has a warm atmosphere and very friendly staff. The service is quick and everything thing came out wonderful. Their French toast was on the money.

They are always accommodating, and even make things that arent *quite* on the menu. My fave? A Grilled Cheese with roast beef, and a side of brown gravy. It was great. Breakfast and grilled cheeses are where its at here.

Our family eats here frequently. The portions are huge, and they are priced fairly. The turkey soup on Sunday: YUM!!! They make some great desserts too!!!
I have been here 3 times, including this visit and havent been impressed. The food is okay- nothing to travel out of the way for- but yesterday I visited just to purchase desserts for takeout and the service was ATROCIOUS. I havent received dirty looks and deliberately slow service like that in my life. The owner was nearby and was pleasant; she checked in to make sure that I was being attended to and I didnt want to get the server in trouble, but Im sure someone else in my shoes would have complained to her. I was treated like I asked the server to pull out her own tooth and give it to me.
Love this place. My only disappointment would be that if you try to substitute an item, they still will charge you extra. And also with all the diners close by and awesome cheeseburger joints I cant believe there burgers suck. When the owner asked why I didnt finish my 🍔, I told her it had no flavor and was dry. Her response was well its a burger. Like I said, I love this place. But I will never get the 🍔 again. McDonalds are better.
