It was my first time getting my hair done at the salon and had a great experience! Melina was super friendly and professional and did an amazing job with my hair. I will definitely be back!

Had the friendliest, most helpful person assist me in finding what I was looking for and what I needed. Nic made my shopping experience comfortable and easy. The store was also very clean and well organized. Definitely my preferred Ulta.

This Ulta is hit or miss. I’ve gone in and the employees were super friendly and helpful. I’ve also gone in and felt instantly judged and like I shouldn’t be in there. The have a large selection of high end and drug store makeup. I’ve used their hair salon and in my opinion it’s way over priced for what you get. I’ve used the salon several times and the time I found a good stylist, she ended up quitting before my 3rd appointment where she was supposed to finish my hair. I had to see another one and she did not know how to finish it.

Let me start this off with a positive, Melina does my hair and she is an angel. She’s great at what she does and her customer service is amazing. How ever I can’t say the same for the management of the store. My appt has been canceled with out even talking to me for the third time today. I understand things come up however the way they go about it is very disappointing to me. They don’t try to accommodate & reschedule you they just say sorry about that. I will continue to go to ulta for Melina and Melina only. It stinks when the management gets in the way of good employees.

Very helpful & outgoing staff. Knowledgeable of pretty much all things/products cosmetic/beauty. Patiently answer any & all questions you may have. A bit pricey but, to me, their products are so worth the price! Offer several services as well, from hair to applying false eyelashes.

I was serviced by Melania ( spelling may be incorrect) on Sat June 27th. When I made the appointment I was told that she could style African American hair. Her personality was great outgoing and friendly. However I think I was lied to about her ability to do African American hair. By the time I got home my hair looked like something out of a horror movie. I called on Sun the 28th and spoke with her as well as Amanda and the Store Mgr whose name I didnt get. I was told there was no way they could get me back in anytime soon because they were all booked up. I was also told that they would have to contact the Dist Mgr to get my money back. Money wasnt the issue for me...as upset as I was I strongly feel that I should have been serviced today to rectify this situation. Needless to say I will never go back to Ulta salon.

I called the salon on a Monday to schedule THREE appointments for myself for makeup application over the holidays. The salon manager indicated on the phone that shed call me back later that day, once she had an opportunity to discuss with her staff and identify someone that would be available to help me for all three visits (for consistency). No return call on Monday. Since I had a bunch of other appointments to schedule as well, but was waiting to book Ulta first to ensure I didnt have any conflicts, I called back on Tuesday to try to follow-up. The salon manager I spoke to the day before was off, but I left a message and was told that shed call me back the following day when she returned to work. No return call on Wednesday. Or any other day. Today is Sunday. Extremely disappointing customer service.

The best place for all things beauty related. Skin, hair, brows, etc. If you do your own nails like myself they have a great selection of nail polish and accessories. I love that they arent pushy towards their expensive products unless you say thats what you can afford. Thank you for all the care youve given.

Honestly? Great experience from start to finish. Nic Z. was so helpful and so charming. He really helped! Even the cashier was a gem. Another girl helped me too. Just go there and spend money you shouldn’t.

Had my hair done by Kaylee yesterday asked for blonde and didn’t get near it. Nice girl but spent 90 percent of her time in the back with other coworkers and her manager. Not happy with the results going to yet another salon in this area. The store is awesome though love it.

Most of the people here seem stuck up. Not friendly or helpful. The salon is the most professional in the whole store.

While buying presents I was informed by the cashier that unless I give them my name address and phone number I cannot return anything for any reason. If this isn’t outright illegal (I have a right to privacy) it is a horrible business practice... what was really concerning was that after asking for clarification another male employee and female employee stepped in to verify that even if they don’t agree with the policy it is policy and I will be subject to no returns unless I give them my personal info... three employees very confident in no returns to customers... I made the purchase because it was a gift and I was there but this place stinks. Poor service uneducated and unfriendly employees... so I’ll do all my makeup shopping elsewhere like anywhere else...thanks for the easy decision ultra.

I went to the salon to get my daughter’s hair cut. The salon was open, but no employee was at the desk. I could hear people talking in back. I saw someone come from the back and that person didn’t bother looking at me so I could get her attention. I left without getting my daughter’s haircut.

I love Nick! He is so helpful. We are lucky that Nick works at this location.

The day I visited the Bourbonnais store, they had a great sale on the Ulta line-buy two get two free. They also actually had a full supply of the product line as well. In the past, I had difficulty with them keeping the products in stock. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Love Ulta however this location has lost its love. No longer get greeted or asked if I need help or asked if I need a bag when clearly my hands were full. Their Clinique isnt stocked well either for being the only store in 35 miles that has Clinique.

The Clinique specialist was VERY helpful. I have always had GREAT help...every time.

I have been going to ULTA since I can remember actually purchasing my own beauty items. I have not been that happy with them lately. I feel like the girls I see work there are not friendly and are borderline snotty. I also am not too happy with their coupon allowances. I shop primarily off of the clearance isle and since their revamp, I am unable to use my coupon there. Its something that is so stupid, but it has most certainly reduced the number of times I even go in there. I have a reward on my account and I have no desire to even step foot in there.I also have used their salon there and again not too impressed. I have thick hair and they do not tell you this, but you are charged for each tube of color used. So if the girl has no clue the amount to use, I get charged for her mistake. I do have thick hair, but I am unaware of how my local salon does not charge me for the product.Overall they are headed down hill...FAST

Im disgusted and disappointed with the experience we had here last night. My my cousin and her friend went here for their first time in an Ulta because they got gift cards for christmas. While looking around minding our business, I notice Brandi or Brandy following us speaking in her ear piece to communicate with other workers. As if we were STEALING, then some eye sore worker with far too many facial piercings walked from the register to the near back of the store to ask if we need help finding anything after Brando walked to the front and said something about us. I am a very observant individual and this was totally uncalled for. My 14 year cousin and her friend should be allowed to roam an ulta beauty store for the FIRST time without judgement . I told them to spend their gift card online and we will not be returning. We shouldnt have been asked 3 times in less than 10 minutes if we need help finding anything when the first 10-15 minutes we were in there we werent acknowledged. All because Brandi had unreasonable suspicions. Then when we were looking at the glosses by the checkout she was rushing us to leave. She said I can help who ever is next when youre ready when we were CKEAR AS DAY LOOKING AT THE GLOSSES. Upmost disrespect.

Ive been to this store many times and have found the service to be poor. The sales girls know very little about the beauty products and very few are willing to help you find things . The store is too big. The Sephora stores have much better service even though they are very far from where I live. Someone needs to retrain the sales girls to be more approachable and knowledgeable about what theyre selling.

Its my wifes thing, says they have everything you need, in cosmetics well educated employees.

I had my wedding makeup done here a couple days ago which runs $60 for formal application without a lash purchase. Fine. So the girl who did my makeup was a sweet person whose intentions Im sure were in the right place which is why Im giving any stars at all.When I showed her the picture of what I wanted, her first reaction was basically trying to persuade me out of what I wanted. For my wedding.. She thought it would be too dramatic since its black and white. The formal service description states dramatic. Thats what makes it formal and not every day. Im usually very simple with my makeup, so when I have someone who does makeup as their job, Im going to take their opinion into consideration when they try telling me something wont look right, even though I love the look I referenced. She pulled out some shades of brown that I didnt care for, and I did let her know so we had to find something else. The pictures attached were what I went in showing her I wanted, and then how I left. She did do a nice job blending the eyeshadow, just nowhere near the colors in the picture after she talked me out of the white to black which I would have been happier with. Being short on time since it WAS my wedding day, and I still had to get my hair done afterwards, I wasnt up for trying to argue my way back to what I wanted. I did mention it again after she was trying to talk me into other colors that I wanted to stick with the picture, but then she ended up trying to persuade further until I gave in to what she wanted to do basically. The eyeshadow did look nice with her blending, just not the colors I wanted which I stated more than once.So then she asks if I want anything else done to my eyes other than mascara. I said well yeah, the eyeliner like the picture.. I would think eyeliner would be a given, especially after the picture I showed. She apparently doesnt do many wings and wanted them to be perfect for my wedding, so she had someone else do them. Completely fine. They ended up nothing close to the picture I requested. We were already running behind by this point. I was told when I made the appointment it takes about an hour for the full application. I ended up being there an hour and a half which cut into my hair appointment that I had set up at my venue. The girl who did the wings did not bother to use tape since she does wings on herself daily, but it really shows that no tape was used on mine.Then we moved on to mascara since I told her she could skip the added lashes because again, short on time and it would have been extra. She said she could build up my lashes nicely anyway. They ended up clumpy and hardly noticeable (compared to what Im used to with my $6 mascara.)Next came foundation. No primer done first, just straight to the foundation. She found a nice shade for my skin tone and did a nice job with that as well as her light contouring afterwards.She asked if I wanted anything else done so I let her know I wanted my eyebrows done to better match my roots since theyre a bit lighter than my hair. Again, just having to mention that I wanted those done should have been a given.This was NOT a $60 makeup job. I dont like hurting someones feelings especially when theyre very nice with good intentions. But, when someone comes in with a look in mind and being persuaded out of it on such an important occasion, I dont think thats very good business. She knew up front that I dont wear a lot of makeup, so I tried trusting her judgement and I didnt have time to argue or redo anything being so short on time, which I guess I should have made my appointment for earlier in the day, so I guess that part is on me.Luckily, there was a 20% coupon that was extended for first time salon/skin guests to take some of the brunt, but its still not a $48 job, $58 after I still tipped her for her time and because I did like her blending as Ive mentioned several times. Lesson learned. Wont be returning for makeup services, or any for that matter since Id probably be talked out of whatever I want anyway.

I highly recommend Melina and Adrian! There definitely in tuned and skilled with the latest trends in choice of color, styles and cuts! They have an out going personality! Extremely sweet and easy to talk to, and always have your best interest at heart! I absolutely Adore them! I love writing reviews where credit is due! Having an eye to see ppl who love there profession where you can see there talent!Highly recommend

Nothing but a bunch of self centered shiny plastic dolls working minimum wage trying to sell overpriced goods to real everyday people.Who exactly are Ulta Beauty employees even supposed to relate to anyway ? ? ? Because they certainly dont seem to relate to the everyday beauty consumer like me and thats a fact. Im going to tell you this. They are supposed to be relatable. A moment with any of them is supposed to be empowering and fun. Its supposed to be like hanging out with that glamorous down to earth, happy group of friends that most of us would enjoy having.In reality, a moment with any of them usually ends up turning into a moment in hellTheir attitudes are horrible.They look at you like they are better than you.They point you into a direction when you inquire about something instead of leading you there to the exact spot. They show their true colors whenever you want to return an item or whenever you want to combine cash with card. If you do anything other than a basic transaction or if you are undecisive about something, they will unknowingly show you that they do not relate to you by their body language and face expression. It changes when they are tired of you. They get tired you really quickly. Their happiness is short-lived and this is how I know that it is not genuine. I read the other posted reviews. The owner only responds to some reviews and not all of them. Looks like the apples dont fall too far from the tree. He or she has selective friendliness as well. One bad apple has definitely spoiled the entire bunch here. If youve also had a bad experience with Ulta and are thinking about fleeing, please keep in mind that Sephora welcomes Ulta refugees. They are more pricey but ultimately they treat you way better. Youre welcome! See ya soon!

Love the products but hate this store. If it rained, all of the workers would practically drown because their noses are like so far up in the sky. its almost laughable considering the fact that NONE of them pull up to work driving a Lamborghini. This store is a joke. When they do try to be friendly and smile, it seems so fake. Oh and if youre new to this store, heads up..the front doors are weird. Entering and exiting. While standing in the checkout line, you can see how they literally watch customers struggle with the doors upon exiting the store and just stare in silence. There is no pull or push label on them. Youd think that after watching customers do that over and over, theyd make things less awkward...But nope. the way theyre set up, theyre probably like..Its not our duty to make things any easier for the peasants as they attempt to get on our levellol what a joke
