Have been reading through these reviews and it seems to me a lot of people are complaining about the same thing. The expense of the things Barnes and Noble sells. And so all I have to say is they have high quality merchandise. And if you go there frequently then the membership program is worth it. I have been a member of Barnes & Noble for two years now and have never had a problem. I have always had satisfactory service and have always saved significant amounts on my purchases. Therefore, if you’re going in to buy two things, and you rarely buy from there in the first place, then why do you care if what you’re getting is high quality. Half of their stuff isnt even that expensive. You guys just all want something to complain about. That or you need to change whatever BN your going to because mine has always been reasonable, and fairly inexpensive, due to my membership and the frequency of my visits.

I usually go for the cafe. However, its always clean and organized. There is hardly a wait and the staff is always friendly.

The few times I have come in the store, it has been calm- which I prefer. The sales associates have been friendly & extremely helpful. There have been a couple times that I was in search of specific books and the associates have gone above and beyond in locating (on bookshelf) /ordering book (if not in stock). There is a Starbucks and cafe seating inside. I have not ordered from them so I couldnt tell you how well the service/drinks are for that.

Textbook return policies have too many conditions. they can take certain ones, but not all. return policy wasnt spelled out anywhere and gave the impression you could go to store. turns out some require you to ship it back yourself. couldve included that on return form. they made me get out of line and get back in line to wait for someone else to come see why the book wasnt showing on their terminal.

My 1st time at this location and I was really impressed! Very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend to others. Beautiful coffee shop and large selection.

Awesome selection of books if you are old school like me and want to browse through the actual books themselves.

Coffee shop really added to the aesthetic of the whole store, the books are great and the children section is great for my little brothers.

There are 13 people in line to check out and no effort being made to open another register. And they will feel aggrieved when Amazon drives them out of business.

Who dosent love a good bookstore? Clean, friendly and had what I was looking for.

Ive always enjoyed going to Barnes and Noble. The store is always well kept and clean. Although if I were to give a negative I dont like their current layout with shelves being set in square areas. I havent been in a while and the floor plan felt way more open. Which is good for walking around, but at the same time it almost felt like they arent carrying as many titles as before.

So many good books! Fun accessories too.

Very odd setup. They do have a lot of board games but other areas seem lacking. I saw very few of the nice leatherbound series that was popular the last time I was in one and the weird little boxes of genres take up a lot of room for shelves and make it hard to navigate the store

We visited this location about 10 years ago and had a great experience, nothing has changed. The employees go out of their way to assist you. They have a wonderful selection of books as well.

Super organized with a lovely, classic book smell as soon as you enter the building. They have a variety of books and manga. Totally recommend.

I love bookstores. I love to look at books while I hold them in my hands. I don’t want to order them, and I don’t want to read them on a screen. The employees had always been nice to me before COVID. Then came COVID and B&N changed. They are so worried about being open. The employees and powers that he seem not to understand that they’re going to have to be better than ordering books online. Or maybe people who just really want B&N to survive need to work there.

Lots of really cool collectables, and of course books lol. The staff at this location was very friendly as well.

Employees were helpful and fun, made us smile!

I love book stores, so five stars for that, but this is a review of your Starbucks, which the staff behind the counter was kind enough to point out was not franchised. Not sure if you hire your baristas for just their coffee making expertise or not, but this one lacked all those soft skills most customer service professionals have. If you are going to point out that you are now going to have to sanitize something because I touched it, feel free to actually do just that! If youre not going to, why bother saying it to me? If I show you a drink order and say one thing, and you suggest it means something else, explain that, right? I dont have to be an expert in the coffee house lingo to order something I found on TikTok, okay? First bad experience here ever. #246

Employees are so kind! the store is kept wonderfully organized, and they have an amazing selection of books. they play nice music, and overall BNBG is a good atmosphere.

Didnt have the book I needed, but they are ordering it for me so I can check it out with no obligation to buy!

If you thought they only had books, youre wrong!!! They have tons of kids and adults books, PLUS lots of board games and amazing toys. They have space items, girls toys, even books teaching your dog tricks 🐕

Dont care for the current layout and the fact it has no newspapers. I used to purchase the New York Times at B and N in Houston. This store doesnt even stock the local disappointment.

Im a manga collector, and I can say that this store has been great for my collection. They almost always have the newest volume of whatever Im collecting and have great variety.

Great selection of books, good for all ages. A great childrens section and a friendly staff are just two reasons to come check out this great bookstore!

What a good place. Called and asked if they had what we was looking for. They put it back for us to pick up the next day. Very nice people working there. Highly recommend. They are more then books also.

Barnes & Noble is always such a treat! So clean, friendly service, and WONDERFUL BOOKS!!! Only the best of the best and the latest additions! Some of the books even have signatures from the authors. There are cozy nooks and lots of space. The childrens section is awesome. The books I have gotten here are crisp and new and filled with awesome adventures. Overall a wonderful experience for all readers.

Is this place going out of business? The inside looks like the place is closing. The floor is filthy and the shelves are dirty. Staff not very welcoming. I have always been a fan of book stores and have been in this one several times but I will not be back. Better, cleaner service ordering online.

Fantastic bookstore and great people. We just did dome Christmas shopping for 5 nephews and nieces with educational kids games at 75% off.Always a nice selection of books.

Hard to find certain books

It was nice, organized. Went to get a Bible and had only a few options. But I found what I wanted for a good price. Kids section looks awesome. Nice Harry Potter displays. No cashier at the register.. had to wait up there for a minute, but she was polite. It was okay :)

I couldnt find a book that I wanted and not only did they look it up but walked with me to the shelf and got it for me.

Really great spot for lots of different types of books! Staff are very helpful on what you need to find and how to locate them. Though I would like to have more precise location on a book since online it may show they have on stock but not in the specific genre location and may take a while to find by letter. It also has a local Starbucks which is also a relaxing place to buy coffee in the bookstore.

Love the people working here. They are always pleasant and helpful. The cafe is wonderful and our go to spot instead of the Starbucks. The store is always a great environment. My whole family could spend hours in here. ;) Bathroom is clean too. Always some good deals in the middle.

Always enjoy barnes and noble. Great book selection for all kinds of people and interests. Rarely do I go in there and not find what Im looking for. If I havent found it staff has always been helpful in finding it online and getting it shipped to the house or store. I keep going back for a reason.

Barnes and Noble is a quality bookstore for those of us who still love the feel of a real book in our hands. Service is friendly without being intrusive. The magazine stand is irresistible.

This location has an unadvertised no returns policy, which is ABSURD in this day and age. Even with a receipt, the most they offer is a BN gift card. Yes, they are so desperate to trap people into shopping there that even if you return an item with a receipt you can only swap it for a different book from that location. If you need to purchase a book, do yourself a favor and buy it from Amazon. At least they have a legitimate returns policy!

Great assortment of books and various items, it was also great that there was a Starbucks where I could get a nice cup of coffee while my daughter shopped.

I always enjoy going to Barnes and Noble. The staff is friendly and is knowledgeable about their store and products. It is a place I can take my daughter as well, and she always enjoys it too. This place is clean and well kept.

One of my favorite places to go and spend some time out of the house. Theres so many books. My only downside is that I cant decide what to keep and what can wait for the next visit.

I love B&N and I love Starbucks inside B&N, but what I dont love is that they also seem to have become a toy store! Ill bet there are a lot of people who feel the same way. Give me more books to shop for and leave your toy selling for online sales.

This is one of my favorite locations in Bowling Green. The staff in knowledgeable, the location easy to find - though parking can be a little bit of a pain -, and the building is well-kept. This location also has a Starbucks, which makes for a great pick-me-up while looking for your next great read.

Staff is always helpful. We attended a little Harry Potter event. The kids made a little golden switch and they gave out samples of butter beer fraps.

I really dont believe in the way they do business. Very liberal with their ideology and the employees are rude.
