They were great at measuring and putting the counter in. But when there was some stains that happened it took several calls. I can appreciate that they are busy, but they need to work better at schedule time to help with problems that arise. Such as schedule a time to come back, and if something comes up call to reschedule, don’t leave us hanging.
I cant possibly say enough good things about these guys. They gave us honest suggestions about what would compliment our existing honey stained hickory cabinets. What we decided on completely blew me out of the water once it was installed. Installation came ahead of schedule and turned out beautifully. Fit and finish are absolutely top shelf. Dont even waste your time shopping the blue or orange. They cant even think about competing with Sugar Grove Marbles price, personal service, expertise, and installation. Make the drive out, I promise you wont be disappointed.
Sadly, they are much more interested in cashing your check than making sure the job is done right. Cannot recommend.
During the sales process Megan was very responsive by text and always promptly returned my calls. When our granite countertops were installed I was initially pleased. However, a few weeks later when my contractor was ready to install the backsplash he discovered that the countertop dropped off by about 1/8 of an inch from one end to the other. The floor joists, subfloor, and cabinets in our kitchen are all new and are level so I was confused as to why the countertops were not. I took out my cabinet drawers and found that the countertop in question was installed with shims under it on one end and not the other. I thought, this will be no problem. I will contact Megan and she will send somebody out to take a look at it, fix the problem, or maybe advise on what to do if the problem will be more difficult to fix than I thought it would be. I texted her a picture of the problem and a description of what I thought was the cause. She replied once before failing to reply to my three subsequent text messages (spread out over a week), two voicemails left on her cell phone, and one message left with an employee in the Sugar Grove Marble showroom. I really liked dealing with Megan during the sales process and I thought this was an outfit I could trust. It turns out I was wrong. If you buy countertops from Sugar Grove Marble you better make sure everything is exactly right before you pay because after that they are finished with you. It is infuriating to have spent a substantial amount of money on high-end countertops to then have the vendor refuse to even call me back.
