Bob the owner and all the guys were fabulous. Experienced. They really helped me out in a bind. So very grateful. Thank you to the whole team. Also replaced the serpentine belt.
HIGHLY recommend this place!!! Amazing service! They did an outstanding job on my truck!!! They truly saved us- we broke down outside of Bozeman and we are from New Mexico, definitely a long ways from home and we didn’t know anyone at all! They took us in and fixed up our truck and it has been running smoothly! We are so grateful and thankful for them!! They are heaven sent. Thank you guys! Keep up the great work!!!! Professional, and sincerely good people.
Called one day for a quote.. wasnt a bad quote so I wanted to give them the business but I called back to schedule an appointment was told they are 2 weeks out.. I said that was fine I would schedule 2 weeks out.. then I was told to call back and talk to Bob and tried 3 times to reach him but was he should be back in an hour everytime... decided to go with a higher quote from a shop that actually wants my business... will never try B&B auto again.
We were traveling across the country and the rear brakes on our Tundra started falling. We called fifteen places in Bozeman, almost all said we need to wait for at least a week. We were traveling with no place to stay. B & B said come in, we will try to help. They did more than try, they fixed the brakes at a very fair price. They were busy with other customers but they made time for us. If I lived in Bozeman I would always take my vehicles there. Thank you!!!
Bob and the crew are great at what they do. I feel treated fairly and with respect each time I go, and I never have to go twice for the same reason. Best work for the prices that I’ve found in the valley. Keep it up boys!
Really excellent service. They got me in a day after I called when no other company could get my car in for a week! So glad I got my brakes done here!
I highly recommend using B&B Auto Repair. My tail lights weren’t working and they got me in that day and replaced the bulbs and fuse. Very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for doing a great job!
My daughters battery went dead and they were there and replaced it within 3 hours. Saved me a 500 mile drive. Very friendly and very understanding of the circumstances. Highly recommend.
Excellent quick turn around on short notice for a fuel pump replacement during the week of sub zero weather.
I gave them 2 stars because they were nice enough to get me in on short notice, but they didnt actually fix anything.I brought my car at 8:15 am due to issues with my heat not working. They said they would call me once theyd looked at it. I spent all day wandering around Bozeman trying to kill time, before going back at 4 pm. When I got there they told me there was nothing wrong with my car and it had been waiting outside for me to pick it up.Firstly, there IS something wrong with my car. It doesnt get very warm, which is VERY noticeable in these winter months. Secondly, they didnt have the courtesy to call me, so I wasted my whole day waiting around for a car repair that never even happened.
We were traveling from out of state exploring Yellowstone and began to have brake problems. We called and called repair shops all over Bozeman and even Idaho but everyone was booked for weeks, they squeezed us in and did an awesome job within a short efficient time.Even better the price was on point and everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I can’t recommend this B and B auto repair enough
Called Bob and his guys up and they were not only able to look at both my cars, but they advised us a more economical solution than the expected problem with the rig. Thankful for their integrity. This is my 3rd time using this shop, and Ive been pleased each time.
Went out for a road trip and ran into some car troubles. Add the rear brake pads and rotors and just needed to install them. Made over a dozen calls to places that were booked weeks out in advance. They were able to schedule us the next day. Super friendly and prompt service. Took less than an hour and got us on our way! Definitely recommend!
My friend and I were on a road trip and from Oregon with a reservation at Yellowstone when our check engine light came on and our car started acting up. We contacted five other shops that didn’t have time to even check our car. Bob at B&B auto was SO nice and so honest about everything! He ran a diagnostic and got a part (for our Volvo) and had us back on the road in less than an hour!!! We are so thankful to Bob and the crew! It was obviously a busy day but we were taken care of with integrity and efficiency!! Thank you again and again B&B auto!!
So grateful for this shop! They went out of their way to help with an emergency repair as we were passing through town on a long road trip. Even though the issue was a fairly simple job, other shops wouldn’t even look at our car saying they were booked for over a week. Parts were obtained quickly and work done in a timely manner. I called Bob the evening before and by noon the next day it was fixed (cv axle and ball joints) and we were back on the road. Thanks again so much!
Bob and his employees are friendly and straightforward with you. They were able to get me in right away when I was having issues with my car. Highly recommend!
From this point forward I will exclusively use B and B auto! I took my dodge in for a slow leak on the front drivers side. They repaired it quickly and even let me drop the car off early before work! I had to pick up the vehicle around 2 but my ride ditched me. These guys allowed me to pay over the phone and even dropped the vehicle off for me when I could afford a taxi/uber. On top off that they fixed my grill and hood (I was backed into in traffic)for free. They only charged me for the tire. Highly recommended. Great honest and timely hard work!!!
I was traveling to Yellowstone when my fan belt broke. B&B was recommended to me by a Walmart tire center tech. I called there and was told to come on over. They had me back on the road in about an hour, before I even knew it was done. Price wasnt out of line either. Highly recommended.
A/C compressor clutch went out on long distance trip from Alton, IL to Tacoma, WA. The guys at B&B went out of their way to get me back on the road the same day. None of the auto parts stores had the right accumulator. We tried 2 different accumulators. They had to get the right one from the dealer.
This is a close family owned shop outstanding
Will always use them. So honest. So fair in pricing. Not sure why people are saying they buy cheap parts. They order the same parts as everybody else. He may be slower because he Is slammed because he is so great! Declining services, yes he gets to full. He is so trust worthy my vehicles have never had an issue after leaving there. I dont get upset when he is to busy to look at mine in the time I want him too because I understand it will have a better outcome with patience!
We were traveling from Michigan and these guys saved us!! Our rear breaks were out and everybody in the area was booked two weeks out. These guys actually cared and let us come in early and got us fixed and on the road! Did not take long at all, but they even noticed we werent from around and recommended a coffee place around the corner to wait at. Probably took 45m to an hour. Super friendly and professional. Go here!!
Excellent service will be coming back for all my car repairs and maintenance.
The BEST shop, hands down. In the years of vehicles, I have never felt so much trust in a mechanic shop as I do these guys along side of Belgrade Garage also. Thanks a bunch. Grateful.
Great service!!! Had my truck in and out quickly and took care of all the extra things they found wrong . Thanks B&B auto
This is an honest hard working family owned business. I have used them many years! I have excellent fast service. Never have been disappointed! Recommend them highly!
The best mechanic Ive ever brought a car too! Bob was fast and efficient and also found me a cheaper part to fix my car! He saved me about $200! Now Im back on the road and can get back to work! Bob is simply the best! Thank you!
These guys got me me in on a Friday night at 4 pm and done by the next morning on a Saturday. Thanks!
Great place. My son goes to Montana State University in Bozeman. Every time hes had a car problem he goes to B & B. This was on a friends recommendation. They are honest and fairly priced. Its nice to know there are places like this when you cant be there to help them.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Took my car in to get the brakes looked at a few months ago because they were begining to squeak. They called me while it was at the shop to tell me my rear struts were messed up and needed to be replaced. They quoted me around $800, saying they were expensive parts. I called my mechanic in California (who used to work on my car before I moved to Montana) to get his honest advice and he found a pair of struts online for $75 and said it would take him 45 minutes to put them in. He also told me that since my car was so old (93 subaru) its not necessary to have new (rear) struts and would probably be a waste of money to have them replaced. I went to pick up my car without having the work done and the men in there were so rude to me. They laughed when I mentioned my mechanic in California and mocked me. Two of them stood in the same room while another younger man checked me out. The two behind me snickered and talked about me IN FULL RANGE OF HEARING. When I turned around to tell them I them I didnt appreciate the disrespect they just mumbled and turned away. When I talked to the younger man about finding cheaper struts he said they only use the best parts and that the struts were $700. When I questioned him further he changed his story and said it was a 4 hour job. So which is it? $700 struts or 4 hour job because even without my California mechanics advice somehow that doesnt add up. They made me sign a waiver because it was unsafe to drive my car with bad struts. I have no doubt that my struts are bad but they lied and changed their story so many times in order to overcharge me. Also, 8 months later and my car is FINE WITHOUT THEM. Avoid this place at all costs!
Great place to tow a car to
Smart, reliable and upfront with repair costs and expectations. I highly recommend. Saved me $thousands of unnecessary work from other reputable mechanics around town.
Will not be back. Theyre slow (even with a week heads up that work needs to be done theyll take another week of it sitting there to touch). They also charge too much for slow work. And on top of that they did work that costs 500 to do without first talking to me about it.Theyre slow and a rip off.
Been going here for 33 years. Bob is a great mechanic.
Great service. Fast and fair. I will definitely use these guys in the future!
When I first saw their shop I thought backwoods but I decided to let their work speak for itself. I finally got my truck back two weeks after promised. After I drove it home I noticed I ticking noise. I returned the truck to them and two weeks later I finally got it back. Still ticking. Hmmm, they claimed it was the fuel pump. The other mechanic I took it to found a bad valve. Interesting because the engine had just been rebuilt by B&B. Spent $4500 to get terrible service. Wont ever happen to me again or anyone I know.
This is the ONLY place Im going to take my car. Bob was so nice, and he went above and beyond for me. They will have my business for all of my vehicles. Thank you guys!!
These guys are great. They played a significant part in the restoration of my Chevelle. Excellent engine builders.
Great family owned business with great prices
Nice people but they use cheap parts
I never write reviews unless the service is outstanding, and am a pretty understanding person if I receive poor service on occasion, but this needs to be heard:Have had a lot of work done on my Jeep the past couple of years, which started out great the first year - fast, affordable, and cheap. Then this year I had some basic problems with worn out parts, (axles, etc.), and a bad wobble around 70 mph. I took it in and they said the could see it the next day. Several days go by, then a week, I call, and they either say they haven’t had the chance to look at it or they’re still trying to figure it out. I get it, they’re a small, busy shop and have done good work for me in the past. Another week goes by, I finally get a call with a list of things to be done that could fix the wobble amounting to about $800 parts and labor. I give them the go-ahead. Another week goes by, and its finally ready. That’s three weeks, with no updates despite me calling a couple of times. I get there and they now have done $1,000 worth of repairs, $200 worth without my consent. I’m frustrated, but let it go. They tell me they couldn’t figure out the wobble after having it for three weeks, but it should be better now (actually, I had it in about a month before this and they held it for a week, then told me some cars just have a wobble. Come back with any concerns. I know this isn’t the case, so I think, okay, it could be a myriad of things they just couldn’t pin point. I take it to Foster’s MasterTech for a second opinion. I get a call back within a couple of hours. The problem? A bad ball joint and steering damper. If a mechanic can’t tell you over the period of a month that you have a bad ball joint and lets you drive on it, they are not a legitimate mechanic. That is one of the first things they should have checked and figured out right away. Not only myself, but my friend has been taking her car to them for the past couple of years as well. Same situation with declining service. She is having a problem with starting. They told her on multiple occasions they would pick it up that same day, and never did. The first time they went in, instead of figuring out the problem, they fixed three possible causes, one of which being the starter. So basically, they do a bunch of unnessicary work. It takes them two weeks with no updates. She takes it out on the interstate, and it dies twice on her while she is driving. She has now been in 5 times with the same issue, each time with them claiming they put in a faulty starter. What mechanic would even have a stock of faulty starters (if that even is the issue)?Hmm, maybe a backyard mechanic?Maybe that explains why the parts are so cheap. These aren’t just minor issues, these are issues that put my friend and I’s life in danger.I don’t know if they are taking in more buisiness than they can handle or just do not care anymore, but please, for your own safety, do not go there.
These guys are great. They went out of their way to fix my truck when it broke down while driving through Montana. They can fix anything from a light to engines.
I posted this review for my friends Jiri and Erika. They are on the vacation at Yellowstone national park, and of course the car trouble find the way to screw up Their vacation.2007 Tundra have a starter issue. I called to 14 diferet shops at West Yellowstone and Bozeman MT. to try to find a service to help them. Some repair shops in this area was even ruth when I ask them for help. Then I find B&B automotive at Bozeman MT on Google search.Call them and set up the appointmentFor next day day morning. That would be Friday. The over check if the starter is available, and get me estimate for the installation over the phon. Its take 6h of labor to replace the is starter on this car. He also insure me, if he cant finish the job by Fri afternoon, he will come to finish the job Saturday morning.Today is Saturday afternoon, and I just spoke with Jiri and Erika. The car is fixed. They are back on track. Thanks so much B&B automotive for help.Kuba Atlanta Ga.
Bob & the crew are great mechanics and very honest. This business has been in Bozeman since the 80s and still continue to service the Gallatin County area!
