I almost dont want to write a review of this spot because I dont want anyone else to steal the good deals I come across.I mostly come down here to dig through the various tools downstairs. I will say that pricing seems a bit random at times... but if you dig long enough, youll find some serious gems. Ive made a lot of knives from and with the gear Ive picked up at this spot.Theres always something new and more to dig through here.
Endless rows of things to discover! This store is separated into sections well, with jewelry and trinkets at the front, a large selection of glassware and vintage cookware, lots of western things, and my most recent discovery - a massive collection of antique furniture and fishing gear downstairs! If I had to pick a favorite antique shop in Bozeman, this would probably be it. You never know what youll find!

Awesome store!! I went in looking for animal skulls back in December and the guy working there ended up giving me some skulls out of the back of his truck for free :) Also got some great cast iron. Friendly staff and large selection!

This is one of my favorite Bozeman destinations. They have everything from soup to nuts in vintage country and Western gear. Ive found jewelry, a great cast iron skillet (old and so well seasoned I could use it immediately), hat boxes, my favorite wool jacket and signed copies of Spike Van Cleve and Baxter Blacks books. This list doesnt begin to scratch the surface. All of that plus a good gab with the folks and a happy greeting from one of the dogs. What more could you want?
This is a store where you find the perfect piece of junk you didnt know you had to have. I found a Tin flower holder for my daughters 10th anniversary.

I have done business with East Main Trading Company twice now. The second time the owners came to look at a collection my grandmother left me after she passed away. Jessica told me that she was willing to give me an offer, but wanted me to do some more research as she felt I could get a better price elsewhere. Jessica even gave me the name of someone she thought could offer me more, or at least put me in the right direction. I was able to get considerably more after taking her advice. She could have bought my items and I would have never been the wiser. I was very impressed with her friendliness and integrity.
Staff is really friendly. Store is very massive and fairly priced too.
The owners are the most fair and honest people I have ever met in Bozeman. They are great to deal with and we have dealt with them 3 or 4x, selling antiques or other items to them. Our friends that come from out of state love to shop there every time they come to town as they always have hidden treasures. They are really caring people.
This place is fantastic. The proprietor is nice and friendly. She always makes you feel welcome. We always try to make it there when we come to town.
My second favorite vintage shop in Montana. Always stop in when I’m bozeman. Great prices and good condition. Great for finding those one of a kind items or just to spend a Saturday browsing through the inventory. Constantly changing.
I went into East Main today looking for a bed. I came out with everything I needed (awesome headboard, frame, and mattress) and I still cant believe what a great deal I got! The whole experience was perfect-- the shopkeeper and his assistant were both genuinely friendly and genuinely knowledgeable. Id recommend East Main to anyone looking for a unique piece at a fair price.
This place is an adventure every time that I go here.Theyve got every woodworking or antique tool, books on how to build cabins, antique furniture, and all the really cool unique odds and ends that you never knew youd find.They are often getting new items, you never know what youll find.
The owner gave us an incredibly high price for some t-shirt buttons and wasn’t able to give any rationalization for the ridiculous price. During sweet pea my husband, he’s from a different country and I was bornes and raised in Bozeman, came in looking for some buttons he could use to make his own cuff links with. There was a jar of buttons for ten dollars but he asked if he could just pick a few and was told that he could. We didn’t have time on Saturday to go through it so he came back on Sunday. After he chose 8 buttons, 8 Shirt buttons, he was told the cost would be six dollars. Now the jar of buttons itself was 10 dollars and if you think there are like 150 buttons in that jar the value should be 15 cents per button or so. But we were told that he was charged that because he got to go through and pick the buttons that he wanted. So by that rationale everyone in the store should be charged 6 dollars for being able to go through and pick out the things that they wanted? We were treated unfairly and I want to know why? Was it because they saw a tourist and thought they could scam him? Because he was from a different country? I asked what the rationale was and was repeatedly told, “the owner sets the prices” they have nothing to back it up with and just wanted to rip us off. This place is the worst!

A very cool/funky old store open from 11 AM - 5 PM. Youll have to dig through a lot of junk, but you can find some great items in here if youre patient! The downstairs has lots of furniture as well as old tools, books, lamps, and antlers.

Wonderful variety of furniture and all sorts of things that will compliment your house. Super knowledgeable staff and the prices are reasonable.
Prices too expensive for 2nd hand items. We did find custard cups and dessert plates that were reasonable.

Love all the old antiques, and the merchandise changes fairly often. I would give it 5 stars, but sadly the prices have gone up significantly over the past couple of years...
Not only is it the coolest store in Bozeman, East Main Trading is one of my favorite retail destinations of all time. Plan on spending more time than youd anticipated, and make sure you go downstairs to check out all of the awesome items in their basement.

Its a great place to get dressers and other fun misilaneous items but their organization is a little backward. Dressers are downstairs so its a real pain to get them out
This is the most dishonest business that I have ever seen. I wanted to buy an iron box that had cubby holes- like a letter sorting box- that was priced for $5. The $5 price sticker was inside one of the cubby holes, stuck to the sidewall. I brought it to the counter to pay for it, and the salesman told me that the sticker must have fallen off some other item, because this box was priced for $19. I thought he must be joking, because the sticker couldnt have fallen off and landed on the interior sidewall of an iron box. He told me that he was indeed serious, but that he would let it go today for $15. I cant believe that any local business could be so dishonest. I would even have accepted that they had mislabeled it, but I cannot stand being lied to. I will never be back.
