We stopped at several outdoor sports stores with some questions about our paddle board, looking for some basic replacement parts and how-tos with no luck. While bigger companies suggested we buy an expensive new board and air pump, Northern Lights had everything we needed. Andrew helped us install, secure and double check the equipment before heading out to the river. Thank you for the excellent service and reassurance!

All the reviews mention how knowledgeable the staff is here. Unfortunately I did not get to experience that.Went in looking to buy a recreational/fishing kayak paddle and to see what they carried from Bending Branches. The guy who helped me told me they don’t carry that brand and never heard of them.I proceed to tell him that I thought that was odd since Northern Lights’ own website mentions carrying the Bending Branches brand. I also noticed a Bending Branches Tailwind model paddle staring right at us in the face and point that out to him. He had no idea and thought the brand of paddle I pointed out was named “Tailwind.”Needless to say, I walked out of the store and am taking my business elsewhere. A real shame as I wanted to support a local business but will most likely have to order online.

This guys are the best! They know what they are doing and is the most complete boating shop in Montana.If u have any question they are very knowledgeable and are able to answer any questions you may have. If they dont know the answer, they will go above and beyond to figure it out!Also people is really friendly there!

Its a nice store with friendly help. The problem is I purchased a dry box and found out at check out that they add a freight charge. I thought you purchased locally at a retail store to avoid this. If it is an expense at least include it in the price of the item not as an add. The advertised price should be the final price.
