Ice cream was great. Skip the coconut haystacks, not much coconut and the chocolate was very good.

The Chocolate Moose was really tasty. Taffy was soft and chewy, sodas are mixed by hand, throws you back to the good ole days that your grandparents talk about. 10/10 delicious :)

Locally owned and, mostly, locally sourced. The owner makes her own taffy in numerous flavors. Every time Ive purchased the taffy it has been soft and fresh. Reminds me of my childhood memories of salt water taffy in Estes Park, CO on vacations. The chocolates are fantastic too. When you see that youre paying by the pound it seems intimidating. But youd be surprised how much you can take home without going crazy. Yet to bite into anything that wasnt delicious.If youve got a sweet tooth or simply want to gift someone you appreciate with a wonderful treat this is the place to go!

Absolutely fantastic place. Not only do I love their product, their service is amazing too. Nice and Kind people who respect their customers. Now if someone has problem with employees not wearing masks, thats his/her psychological issue beyond a simple fix. But for freedom loving Americans, this is a perfect place to be in.

Cutest little chocolate/candy shop. We sampled the chocolate peanut butter cups and the chocolate covered graham crackers. They are delicious!!! Must visit if sightseeing in Bozeman.

My kids love this shop so much! If you are in town and need a sweet treat, this is a very charming chocolate shop. Some many goodies and gift items to look at. Any time we walk downtown we must make a stop!

I was hoping to get some cute Montana-themed sweets to gift to some friends before I move. I was immediately put off when approaching the store, which had a table and chairs directly next to it (NOT following social distancing protocols at all, since he had to practically touch the occupant to get into the door). When I entered, I noticed first thing that the one other customer and the employee behind the counter were not wearing masks (which is strange because first it’s LAW and second it’s food products, making the masks extra necessary). I asked the girl if they wear masks here and she must have misheard me because she told me, and I quote, “You don’t have to wear a mask in here.” I asked if she could put a mask on and she gave the usual “I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing one” BS that isn’t true for 99% of people who spout it (any medical condition that would keep you from wearing a face covering would also keep you inside during a respiratory pandemic or bedridden entirely). I’m disgusted by this local business’s disregard for public health and I urge you to avoid it if you care about your safety and the safety of others. Perhaps the owners aren’t aware of the actions being taken by their employees in subverting their law and losing customers, but my review still stands since they should be held accountable for the actions of their employees in a situation as severe as this.

Lived in Bozeman for 12 years! I love this sweets shop. I make it in there every time I go back and visit. Can’t believe someone (Casey Adams) would make such a rude and uneducated attack against this store.

We were in Bozeman for a week and stopped in to look. We each had cup of ice cream from a local dairy and visited with owner. Great time, welcoming location and staff. Would have loved to have had one of everything. Candy selections are hand made. Try it you will love it.

Prices go up, selection goes down... at least they still hire awesome and helpful staff. Still worth a visit.

Sunday I was in town and showing some friends around and decided to bring the kids into the Chocolate Moose to experience the great store. Candy was great, however the customer service was not great! The girl working the cash register in the front was short and rude. Prefer to not continue business with this shop anymore. Didnt realize asking questions about candy at a candy shop was such an inconvenience.

This is one of the worst businesss I have ever been to. The candy Monte, the owner, sells is expired; sometimes even 1+ years expired. I went in to get a milkshake and to let the owner know that some candy I purchased had already expired, and even showed him the display housing more expired candy. The owner became flippant and rude and replied so? He showed me a box of gum he received last week and said see? It is all expired, it still needs to be sold. He then looked at my milkshake and told me that I was not getting my shake for free because I didnt read the label before I purchased something from his store. I had my debit card in my hand and told him I have my card right here, I did not ask for anything for free or to be reimbursed. He continued to berate me and raise his voice. I finally said I am uncomfortable, and to be honest I do not even want this shake anymore. At that point he grabbed my wrist and snatched the shake out of my hand. I told him he does not need to touch me and he responded, You said you did not want it. I told him regardless, he doesnt need to put his hands on me or grab it from my hand. He then responded with Do you want me to go get it out of the trash for you?For someone in the customer service business, Monte has a very short temper, is hostile, and does not treat his customers with respect. During the above altercation, customers even left the store because they were uncomfortable. I will never be back to this establishment. If you are looking for small town, polite, and delicious places to go in Bozeman, AVOID this place. The Leaf & Bean makes delicious milkshakes, as does Cold Stone. This is not the first time the owner has been rude to people, as I hear of multiple complaints. It is sad because the girls who work there are sweethearts, but when you risk being assaulted by the owner, its best to avoid going there.

I love their candy selection, milkshakes and ice cream but one out of every two times I go there, staff is unaware of the MSU alumni discount. Its happened so many times now I expect it.
