Not good not bad just average. Usually don’t have what you want. Seems to be a place that helps people with problems and repairs. They don’t sell most Apple products like phones etc.
I purchased a new Apple Watch SE on line but the microphone didn’t work. I phoned the apple company. They told me to take it to Simply Mac in Bozeman. I immediately went to the store only to find I needed an appointment to talk to them and the first available time was 5 days out. After the 5 days I explained to them I had received an inferior watch. They informed me their technician would look at it and if it was not damaged by me I should receive a repaired or replacement within 10-12 days but they would keep me informed of the status. After not hearing anything for 11 days I called for an update. I was told they hadn’t looked at the watch yet.I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone wanting service in a reasonable time.
The gentlemen who helped me were patient and kind with me. Their knowledge of the products are extremely helpful. I am thankful and you should be to for all of their experience for Mac. Thank you
A sick computer is never a fun thing! After working with Apple support online all day Friday, it was determined mid-morning on Saturday a tech needed to see it in person. Living in the middle of Montana, I was not hopeful. Simply Mac got me in at 4:30 that same day (Saturday!) and worked hard to have it for me by 7:00 so I could take it home with me that night! Professional, complete service that exceeded my expectations. Happy computer, happy computee. Thank you!
My Mac Book Pro suddenly crashed and I had to get a new one asap. I called Bozemans Simply Mac as it is the closest Apple dealer in my area. I worked with the manager Lynn and I cannot tell you how great my experience was. He went above and beyond to help me...calm me down as I was flipping out...and found the exact replacement that I was looking for. His product knowledge and customer service were excellent. I highly recommend Lynn and shopping at the Bozeman, Mt. Simply Mac!
I was having a hard time figuring out an iPhone issue. My husband and I had each separately gone to Verizon to remedy the situation to no avail.I finally went to Simply Mac. Lynn was super helpful and got the issue solved and I was in and out if there in less than 10 minutes.Simply Mac will be my 1st stop from now on.
I use all apple products for my business. So far its been good but when I had an issue I was able to come here and get everything fixed. I forget his name but the guy with glasses was awesome!

I brought my iPhone into this store to have it unlocked after locking myself out and the technicians were able to unlock the phone for me within an hour. For being understaffed, these folks took care of me efficiently and with a great attitude!

Apple referred me to this store due to a purple screen with my front facing camera. I could not make it to an apple store because we were leaving on vacation to Yellowstone. I made an appt for the evening I flew in. A tech talked with me and let me know there was nothing they could do that night because they were so busy. I made another appt for as soon as they opened the next day (10:00). I was quoted a 5 hour fix time and they let me know my repair would still be covered under warranty which was great. Called at 3:30 (past the 5 hour window) they said it was not done because they were busy. I stopped in an hour later, still working with customers in the lobby which meant my phone wasn’t being worked on because there was only one technician. He told me to give him 30 minutes.I went back again and finally got my phone back at about 6:00. My phone works great, they did a good job on it. Customer service however is lacking. It appears they take on more than they can handle and continue to take new appointments which means devices needing repair don’t get worked on. If you can make it into an apple store, go there instead.

I had a very good experience at this store. Lynn, the customer service representative that helped me was the only one working at the time, even though it was very busy. He was able to help everyone effectively and to the best of his abilities in a timely manner, and was very polite and responsive. Even when working with a rather unpleasant customer that he helped before me.

Scheduled an appointment, drove over an hour and a half to the nearest Apple store. I sat in the store waiting for help for twenty minutes. One gal at a desk didn’t even acknowledge my presence or indicate I’d be helped shortly. A guy came out from the back office and after about 5 minutes standing at the counter acknowledged my presence and asked if I had an appointment. I did. I explained what I needed done and he informed me that they would not be able to get it done before they closed and I could leave it. If I had been helped upon entering the store they would have had plenty of time to get the job done. Worst customer service I have encountered!
The techs here were great. They fixed my computer screen quickly when I needed it for school.
I went into inquire about getting my iPhone fixed. The employees were very rude and barley acknowledged me. I would not trust them with my phone, and I walked out.

Extraordinary customer service! We had to buy a new MacBook in an emergency because my daughters MacBook died and she was leaving to fly back to her home in Italy the next day. We drove from Helena, bought the MacBook and asked them if they could transfer her data. The sales person set that up and began transferring while we went to have a bite to eat and shop around Bozeman. When we came back, because of operating system updates and down servers at Apple, the transfer was still in process. It was approaching closing time and we were worried the transfer wouldnt complete before closing time. The manager assured us he usually stayed until a little after closing time and that he would stay until it was done. The transfer finally completed almost an hour after closing time and the manager stayed until it was done and even brought it out to our car where we were waiting. They went above and beyond to help us out in our situation and I would gladly drive the two hours to shop or get service at the Bozeman Simply Mac again.
I brought my ailing iPad Pro that needed a battery down to Bozeman with me and the staff sent it away to Apple recommending that it be replaced in total, rather than just replacing the battery. I got it back in just a couple of days, well within the time I was staying in town. Since we do not have a Simply Mac in Great Falls, MT, this was the perfect solution for me. The staff are great and Apple really came through for me.
They were very knowledgeable and managed to get me a new hard drive for my older iMac 27 - they installed it took my back up from my Time Machine and got all my programs and data reinstalled- it would have been great if they could have been a little faster but were booked and got me in ASAP as i am on the road needing my computer for my photography- thanks saved me from a great deal of stress

Horrible service. Was trying to get my data and apps switched over from my old iPad to my new iPad and they couldnt figure out how too. Asked them if they had a case that would fit the iPad and didnt have any for the iPad. Not going back to this location ever again. Worthless help. Found everything I needed on amazon and google.

I needed my keyboard replaced in a jiffy and the staff at Simply Mac went out of their way to take care of me. They replaced a recalled keyboard on my MacBook Air within my time restraints and were totally accommodating. The keyboard has worked great ever since. I will be bringing my MACs here whenever I need a repair.

Simply Mac was extremely helpful with my MacBook Pro screen replacement. They allowed me to sit in the store uploading files to the cloud that I needed while the machine was in the shop, and allowed me to bring the machine home to access the files. I got the machine back within the time they said I would, and it works perfectly. They need more staff members, but the ones they have are fantastic!
The store was great! I was immediately greeted and a very nice employee answered all my questions and helped me find what I needed!
My husband and I each recently purchased new Mac Air laptops at Simply Mac. Mine worked perfectly after they transferred the data from my old Mac laptop but my husbands laptop had some glitches that prevented it from working properly. Lynn and Max provided outstanding help and got it taken care of right away. We found the service and follow-up assistance to be superb and we would recommend this store for their technical knowledge, their willingness to help, and their follow up support.

When my 12 year old Mac suddenly died I stopped by Simple Mac. I was greeted by Michael Garriffe who was super friendly and had great computer knowledge. He said their tech could look at it and probably get it going again even tho I knew it was a dinosaur. I knew it was time to just get a new one.Michael and I discussed my needs and settled on a an IPad Pro 12” with a keyboard.He was patient showing me how they operate and had me out the door in about 45 minutes with the new IPad and all my info transferred over.Thanks to Simple Mac I’m back online. Very painless .Great service, great tech guy and great sales rep Michael. If it was my store I’d give them all a raise :-)
They don’t actually do any repairs in the store. Even a basic diagnosis takes at least a full week for them to get to. All they do is send the package off to Apple and try to charge you $99 to make a claim with Apple Care (which you can do yourself for FREE). Don’t bother.
Good experience with Simply Mac. My desktop was running so slow it was impossible to use. I dropped it off and in 3 days I received a diagnosis of the problem and a week later it was fixed. Im back in action with my fast Mac! Thanks Simply Mac :)

I first went in for a repair for my keyboard the keys were sticking. When I first went i got great customer service and I was told it was most likely free because it was under a warranty.I get a call today saying they messed up, it’s not under warranty and that they need to look to see if the keys were misused. I said okay. Thinking they would call back and tell me their findings because I had the computer for a few months and it should be covered. Never got the call. They literally fixed a caps lock key and then charged me 80 dollars for service. They got me on the sheet I signed at the store even tho I thought it was covered and they thought so too. I would of fixed it myself for that.Be aware when they say you are most likely covered in store.The guy Drew hung up on my quickly before I got to finish my sentence. I will never do service or buy any products from here again.

Very literally no point in bringing any iOS or MacOS device for repair. All they do is send it out directly to Apple... which I can do myself and get things turned around quicker. They also try and charge you a $99 fee for sending your items in for Apple Care, when its free to do yourself. What I wouldnt give for an actual Apple Store in Bozeman.**EDIT**The manager of Simply Mac reached out and, according to what he said, theyve changed their process and policies and now do many diagnostics and repairs in-store. I havent returned since my initial visit, so I cant speak to their revised services.
I went in to buy a new cord for charging my laptop and they handed me a box with what they told me was the charging cord I needed for my laptop. I even had the laptop in hand showing them the device. The following week I went to use my laptop and it wasn’t the right cord. Neither end fit the laptop or the power charging source. They told me they wouldn’t accept my return since I no longer had the box even though my account shows my purchase the week previous. No other options were given other than to buy another cord.

Very understaffed, extremely long wait times for repairs, unwilling to help with insurance for broken phone, and rarely have a good solution for my Mac laptop. Never recommend going here.

Very poor customer service. Apple says it is setting up an appointment at Simplymac but when you get there you just get in the same long line as everyone else. The appointments are just a sham. The repair was to have been completed in 3-4 days. Now day 7 and no update. Been on hold on the phone for 29 minutes. Giving up on hoping for an answer

I have bought a computer from this store a few years ago, and was happy. Unfortunately after my experience trying to have them take a look at my Apple phone, I will not be going back. The sent me to both Verizon and Platinum tech (across the hall) because they just didnt want to take a look at my phone issues. Both places referred me back to Simply Mac... SIMPLY MAC simply didnt want to help, so simply enough I will not return to by from them again.
Simply Mac does everything they can do to get out of repairing your phone. They held onto my phone for three weeks before they even called me to say they wont replace my screen. They first quoted me $30-$100 but then said if i really wanted my phone repaired it would be $330. Dont go here for repairs.
Apple Care referred me to Simply Mac to get a new battery in my Macbook Air. Apple told me that it would cost $150.00 to go to Simply Mac in Bozeman. I live out of town, and made a special 3 hour one way trip to Bozeman to get it fixed. The guy there were SO rude, and he told me that it would take 2-3 weeks to get my Macbook Air battery replaced at the tune of $400.00 because they did not have the battery in stock. Plus I would have to make another 3 hour one-way trip to Bozeman to pick it up once it was repaired. I decided not to get it repaired at his shop, but guess what? There is a shop right across the hallway from Simply Mac called Platinum Tech. The technician was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and told me he could have my computer battery replaced within one hour for $150.00 with a one year guarantee. A win-win for me! I got my computer battery replaced and got to go home without having to make another trip to Bozeman. My computer works just fine! Stop in at Platinum Tech for your cell phone, tablet, computer needs!

After spending three hours and $100 more then we planned on spending, our phone still did not work. Late on a Saturday afternoon we went into the Mac Store and Michael set us up with everything we needed and finished programming our new phone in less than 15 minutes. Thank you Michael.
We are very satisfied with the service and kind but professional way in which we were handled by the staff at Simply Mac. Kelsey was excellent and the manager, as well as, other team members provided just the right input and support when needed. Everyone treated us as though there was no such thing as a bad question, only respectful answers. From now on Simply Mac has all of our computer need purchases.

Initially I gave Bozeman Simply Mac 5 stars. They had great service and were super helpful. I have been trying for weeks to get an appointment. I have tried online and on the phone. I eventually went in and thought I had made a reservation BUT NOTHING. COME ON I just need a quick clean up and some simple help. I bought the extra simple care because I was promised good service and help. YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT.
Awful customer service. Came in with an appt and was ignored for about 20 min as the one guy working told person after person that he couldn’t help them and that they’d be better served going to att/t mobile/Verizon etc just so he didn’t have to deal with actually helping anyone. I had a screen replaced on my iPhone and Face ID and SIM card problems have persisted ever since. This should have been an easy fix under warranty but the guy working insisted that there was no way he was capable of helping which I now believe.
Needed a apple device so I tried the local simply mac.So easy to get to, its in the mall but is accessible from the main parking. So if you want to avoid the mall you can pop right in.Clean store, very well stocked and the staff was knowledgeable and personable. They had exactly what we needed.5 star based on the staff. I had a very poor experience with the lady in the Simply Mac store. Even under all the stress she still makes very poor judgment calls and has no idea how to prioritize customers as well as making people feel uncomfortable about coming in the store even tho they are the only ones. I was talked to like I wasn’t supposed to be there and like they had better things to do even though I was being helped by a technician she quickly shoo’ed us out of the store because it was time for the man helping us to go on break. And we were told to come back in 30-40 minutes. I understand there is a lot going on but you can’t use the covid-19 as an excuse to make your customers feel like they don’t matter and feel like they have no help especially when they were the only ones in the store! I am very upset about the way she treated us and how she refused to help us in the first place knowing this guy was going to have to go on break in minutes. No one deserves this guys no one.
I would be giving simply Mac a five although there was some confusion towards the end when I was checking out. I just wanted to purchase a screen saver because the reason going in they needed to change my iPhone X screen for malfunction. But all in all they got taken care of.Another concern that is still outstanding and in my mind is that on the 22nd I received mail through email or a computer that it said that I ordered through them. but I did no such thing.The manager that helped me was very kind yesterday and said that he would take care of it for me. But there’s always that thought in the back your mind of what could happen and where did it go and how did it get to you. Something had to be late somewhere or another corporation can get that information. So I just hope but there is nothing wrong really with this paperwork trail.Me and my daughter have done business with simply Mac and have never had a problem before. I think they are a wonderful business especially if you have a Mac of any sort or Apple product. They are very friendly and always eager to help you.

I had dropped my phone and the camera quit working. The service from Josh was outstanding. I appreciate his politeness, his speedy service and his friendly nature. I imagine folks are stressed out when they come to Simply Mac for service and are probably not on their best behavior; Josh definitely makes customers feel like they are in good hands and that dont need to worry so much. I was, and have always received quality service at Simply Mac in Bozeman. Last year Storm was very helpful to me with my technical difficulties, getting me the correct backup system installed, and answering all my questions regarding Power Point Presentations, etc. I had 3 sessions with him, and felt better after I left.This year, Walker as also very helpful with showing me different things that I needed to correct, delete, and add to my computer. He made me aware the average life of my computer, and how much time I probably had left. He is a very helpful person, with a lot of enthusiasm, and personality, which made the experience all the more enjoyable, PLUS he has a great name....the same name, and similar personality as my son, Walker, so he was a real hit with me!!!!Also, neither of these fine technical geeks shamed me for my lack of even basic knowledge. I appreciate that!!!
I went to the simply mac store in the mall in Bozeman today to see why my watch wasn’t pairing to my phone. I’ve been trying to connect it for days over the phone and I thought since i did everything i can there is a coding error and decided to go in person so they could check out the code. WELL when i went into the store a basic guy tried to help me out doing the things i’ve done. Then he decided to pair me with a tech. There were two in the store at the time sitting on the computers.. he asked the woman if she would help me and she immediately replied no. Then he asked the guy to help and he said sure. Then two older folk walk into the store and she immediately starts to help them. I was a little confused. Then i start explaining my problem to the gentleman helping me and she turns around before i can finish explaining and says hey im going to need you guys to be patient because this guy has to go on break and we cant take care of you right now. We cant do any over time. She tells us to come back in thirty minutes. When i was the first one in the store and have been trying to figure this out with the guy before that for 10-15 mins. She then proceeded to help the other couple that just came in. She refused to help me when i was the first one in the store and was very rude in the fact she helped the other customers with such joy but pretty much yelled at the guy to go on break. Then yelled at us to be patient because they were short staffed.. but we were the first customers they should have helped and should have been treated as a priority at the time. I felt very racially profiled because she was so nice to the elderly white couple that came in. Are these guys “apple specialists” or what and is that how the apple/ simply mac customer? I dont think they would look at the race or color or my skin and make a decision to make me leave the store and never come back..
Apple was offering a promotional event for iPhone 6S owners to replace their battery at the low cost of $29. The promotion ended December 31, 2018. I contacted my local SimplyMac to get on their waiting list. However, my local Simply Mac was overwhelmed by the demand and called to let me know that they could not get to me by the end of the year when the promotion ended. They advised me to call Apple Support and ask for approval of an extension whereby I would still get the promotional pricing and they had plenty of appointments available in January 2019. The other option was to send my iPhone 6S back to Apple; that would entail a 3-4 day turnaround. I called Apple support and was approved for the extension due to the fact that it was not my fault that my local Simply Mac could not get to me by the end of the year due to the overwhelming demand on that store’s staffing. Apple Support even arranged the appointment in January for me! When I arrived, I was impressed by the professionalism of Preston, the store manager, and Austin, the tech. While waiting for Austin to replace my battery, I became aware of other customers complaining about the increased pricing of the replacement battery for the 6S. In defense of the store, it seems people were not following their advice of taking the time to call Apple Support (a mere 15 minute call) and requesting an extension as I had done. Sort of a kill-the-messenger type deal. My local Simply Mac made ALL those calls to inform customers, but they didn’t take responsibility to follow through by making ONE call to Apple Support for an extension to receive the promotional price. The increased price is still a screaming deal compared to buying a new phone!! I have always had a good experience at my local Simply Mac due to their patience and expertise and witnessed the same to other customers in the store.
I went in to explore my options for getting a new computer. I did a bunch of research ahead of time but the folks working were extremely knowledgable. I was happy they did not try to only sell me the most expensive thing but rather they tried to get to know me so that they could help me find the right computer for my needs. Highly recommend.
Went in January to get a recall battery for an iPhone. Apple sent the battery to the store. The store never called me and sent the battery back to apple. After 4 months and probably 20 hours on the phone it finally got fixed.The store never worked to get this resolved for me, even though they should have been.Whenever I called the store no one would pick.It was an awful experience overall.Try to avoid if possible. There are other, more competent Apple specialists in town.
The associate that helped me was knowledgeable about products stocked, but not quite as knowledgeable as a second associate who knew even better. Even in a small store, asking for a second opinion can save time and an additional trip.They took a return with only a few questions. It helped to have the receipt and to be able to say the package had not been opened.

After calling Apple with a problem on my iPhone 6 Plus, they told me to take it to Simply Mac and they could take care of the problem and if not they could send in my phone to Apple to take care of replacing it if need be. Three and a half weeks later, and a call to Apple, I finally got my phone back. Not once was I called by Simply Mac to give me a status update. I went by the store several times and asked for a status, no one could tell me anything. When I called and got some one from the service dept. on the phone they said my tech just went to lunch they would get him to call me back shortly. Nope, never heard from him. Next time I will beg Apple to allow me to send my phone to them instead of using Simply Mac.
Worst place ever, First I got a mac pro from them and they told me if I pay $200 for a protection, I will be able to have a new device if mine is stolen. However, I spilled some juice on my mac by a mistake and went to them. They took the device, opened it, and I waited for 3 days to be told that my protection is not what I paid for and I paid for a regular protection. Also, they scratched my mac.I hope this company faces what I faced and fall in much problems hopefully. Finally, the employee told me they can do nothing about this. Apple’s name should not be on that nasty place.

The guys at Simply Mac were excellent at customer service. I was upset about having to get a new battery on my iPhone 6S especially since I had retired drive 2.5 hours one way to have it “diagnosed” so I could order the new battery. Then I had to wait 2 weeks before I could have the battery installed. So another 5 hours gone to get the battery. The guys were very patient with my bad attitude and ended up making it a positive experience.
Storm was awesome! Apple set me up with an appointment under my warranty and they had it fixed within a couple hours. Vibrator was all messed up. They were great, will definitely go back!
If you are accident prone, buy the extra insurance!!times for MAC repair are scheduled now but they got me in later that day..I had 4-5 things wrong with my MAC Book Pro --- 3-4 slightly more than minor and 1 major issue but because I had purchased the extra insurance (Apple Care and Simple Care both) at the time I bought the laptop, it was no cost. What wasnt covered by Apple under Apple care (they are picky and dont pay for much) was covered by the added insurance.Why did I give these guys 5 stars? They told me the insurance was a good idea AND IT WAS!They were prompt, professional, estimated correctly the amount of work it needed, spent lots of time with me, and made sure I understood how and when my computer be worked on... it even came in a day early!

I had an extraordinarily positive experience at this store!! Steve Johnston provided impeccable customer service to my issue. Having just arrived in town, and being an Apple Joint Venture customer, he and Manager Thor assured Id have the service provided by a direct Apple Store (and which Ive paid for). Steve was knowledgable, gracious, keep me well informed and back in business in short order. I recommend Steve and this store highly.
The young woman helping me was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful! I would seek her out if I need help in the future! I am sorry I do not remember her name!
