Steve was outstanding from our contact to completion. We called about getting a boat cover for our Boston Whaler 270 Outrage and it turned out perfectly. Steve always answered calls and texts and completed the job faster than we needed and earlier than he committed to. The quality of the boat cover is top of the line and the price was extremely good (and we did compare with others). Additionally, we could not be in town when it was complete so Steve took multiple videos of the bot cover and explained in detail the simple zipper and strap attachment points. We would highly recommend Steve for making your custom boat covers.

Steve was good to me when I got my first cover in 2016 for my Cobia. I sold my trailer and he came to the house and upgraded the old cover to a lift cover.So since he was good to me, I called him when I sold my Cobia and wanted a curtain cover for the console and helm on my new bay boat. Didn’t need a full cover.He gave me a quote and I told him I would take the deal but I needed a few weeks to get the $$Don’t you know that when I called him back he said he “changed his business model”???? It’s evident that the Covid boat rush helped change this “business model”You know Steve, I referred a lot of people to you. Pretty sad that you would rather build a full cover and push aside a good customer that wants a smaller cover. All for more money. I know a lot of people in this area and a lot of boaters. You should have lived up to your WORD. That’s all we have anymore.You really disappointed me. My word is golden.

Steves workman ship and quality is second to none. I read a few reviews before calling and am I glad I went with better boat covers. Steve made me a custom full cover for my Boston whaler 230 dauntless and He matched my current canvas for my Bimini top cover perfectly. He made a special cut out for my trolling motor so that I dont have to do anything special to cover my boat. It is tight enough to run down the highway without any issues. Really a work of art to get all the cut outs right and make it look like it came with the boat. I could not be happier at any price point but Better Boat Covers was by far the most reasonable and had the best turn around time. I will be coming back with all my future boats. I called on Labor Day to find out if the business was open. The man that answered was totally rude, saying I should not have called because it was a holiday. All he had to say was, sorry we are not open today, and that would have answered my question. So now, I will not go to this business, or refer anyone else regardless what my needs are. A little customer service goes a long way.

Steve made a full cover for my 26 Mako. His workmanship was really amazing. The fit and finish of everything shows that he really cares about his work. He spent an hour or more on the phone with me explaining what he planned to do before I brought my boat down to him. His price was about the same as everybody else, but the quality is better.
