The best all around bridal shop in the area. Great selection of wedding dresses. My mom and mother in law both got their mothers dresses here as well. Prices were fantastic. Staff has been wonderful. The owner has done a great job curating a comprehensive selection of dresses in different sizes and styles. I am in between standard and plus size (14 in street clothes) and had plenty of dresses to try on, which was definitely not the case at other stores. The MOB selection is kind of small, but my mom was perfectly happy with the selection. Id recommend this shop to anyone in southwest Florida.

I was able to wear my wedding dress this past Friday (after purchasing in August 2019) for the first time, so I just had to come on here and thank Donna for being the one to find the dress for me! She helped me and my guests when we came looking for dresses and was very patient with us the entire time. The process of coming back and forth after having to postpone our wedding due to Covid was made easy and seamless, and Im so grateful that I chose Something Blue for this experience. It was a strapless glittery gown with flowers cascading down and I also got a gorgeous glittery veil to match. There not enough positive things I could say about Something Blue Bridal Josie (my consultant) made everything about my appointment special. She helped me try on a variety of dresses based on my vision, but at the same time did not make me feel pressured into rushing into such a big decision. Ultimately though we found the perfect dress for me and helped me dress it up to complete my wedding look. Also I have to mention how wonderful the alterations team is. She also was able to throw in some options based on her expertise that I was completely happily surprised by. Their selection of dresses fit every avenue I was considering for myself. I tried on multiple different options of dresses I had considered to ensure the dress I chose from them was in fact the one. I left feeling excited and content with my choice/experience. Very disappointed in this place i was super excited in the beginning to start my wedding experience. But in the end my dress never arrived for my wedding so i got stuck with a display dress and still had to pay for it! Then pay for alterations that ended up being $300. They were very rude and not understanding of the situation i was put in with my dress not coming in and having to stress 3 weeks before my wedding. Then the dress i got stuck with ended up breaking on my wedding night! I also ordered 7 tux from them that everyone went in and got sized for and not a single one fit the guys! This place was a serious disappointment! The staff is very rude and not a welcoming place to enjoy the experience of a perfect wedding day!

She was so nice, kind, patient, knowledgeable, and best of all she listened to everything that I wanted and loved from each dress I tried on and helped me find the perfect wedding dress! What a beautiful shop! I walked in without an appt and they took me right away to try on dresses. Alyssa was amazing and was able to read me and found the perfect dresses for me to try. We rented tuxedos from here for our wedding. 4 of the 6 fit. I understand how these work, human arent shaped perfect. the two that didnt fit were my best man, in a wheelchair...and my son who is husky, so hes in between junior and adult size. They did make efforts to fix their wrong. It just didnt feel that there was any pride in their efforts. My best man was told to just kind of pull his jacket tight in front so it didnt look bunched. my sons pants looked like knickers and his jacket barely buttoned, so he was told to leave it un-buttoned. We found a tuxedo from a local seamstress that fit perfectly on my son, that we used instead. Overall, i would just say that the experience was just ok.

On 10/30/19, I randomly walked into Something Blue Bridal Boutique to begin my wedding dress hunt. Little did I know, that the very first dress I’d try on would be my dream dress!! Yes, I tried on many more beautiful dresses but my heart was set on the very first one I tried on! How lucky am I!? Never in a million years would I have thought wedding dress shopping could be this easy! Tracy did such a great job helping me find EXACTLY what I was looking for. The people there are very nice and the seamstress was very enjoyable!

Our first mistake was paying for the dress in full. After we bought the wedding gown, we were basically chopped liver when we’d go in. Every other customer was a priority, and we would sit and sit. Despite having a party consisting of a matron of honor, six bridesmaids, one flower girl, two mothers and two fathers, and six groomsmen, all of whom were supposed to be outfitted by their merchandise, we were treated poorly. Rather than contact the girls about orders or fittings, they would always put that upon my daughter. When talking to a bridesmaid, they would run down my daughter, but then do the same about the bridesmaids when taking to my daughter. One of the girls is from Orlando, and they didn’t even have the decency to tell her her dress would not be ready when they said it would be. Lack of consideration was apparent. Alterations were so problematic that most girls, including my daughter, the bride, went elsewhere. We ended up getting the flower girl dress, tuxes and mother’s’ dresses elsewhere as well.

I came in with my mom and maid if honor looking for a dress. Emailed them at 7 p.m on a Friday night and was immediately booked for an appointment this week. I am around a size 20 and was still able to try on all of the dresses I was interested in (not a perfect fit but enough to see whether i liked it or not). My consultant Dee was AMAZING!!! She was so sweet, budget conscious, and genuinely excited to just help me find a dress for me! She made sure we understood all the things to know when dress shopping from how trying on dresses works to how alterations are wrapped up. I couldnt have dreamed of having a better experience shopping for my wedding dress!

The staff, So kind and helpful, I had my infant with me, he is always very good and smiles for miles, although he was fussy this day due to teething, and they were so sweet and accommodating for us. Kristy, the owner is extremely rude. Staff is incompetent. I will gladly take my money, time, and 8 bridesmaids WHO NEED DRESSES elsewhere. The shop is small, and dirty. No one offered us any assistance. Terrible business. Terrible location. I read reviews and still gave them a chance! The low reviews are right, this place is incompetent.

It was my daughters first bridal shop visit. We went in without an appointment, hoping just to get a look and first ideas. Josie immediately offered to help us. We tried on 5 dresses. Even though she knew we werent going to buy anything, she was so helpful and made us feel like she had all the time in the world for us. It was a great experience. We were also very impressed with the amount of plus size dresses that were available to try on.

Accompanied my sister (the bride) and 2/7 of other bridesmaids to this shop. Was barely greeted, and not assisted at all. My sister was looking for a dress and 8 bridesmaid dresses. The shop hardly greeted us and did not assist us. The reviews are true. We took our time, and money else where. Staff is sarcastic. Yes, we walked in, but based on the reviews it was not going to be worth our time to make an appointment. EVen without an appointment, I still expect respect and some assistance as we peeked through dresses. Received nothing!

Many selections from extremely high prices to sale dresses from $500+. Keep in mind that the sales dresses are as is so you cant order a different size or color. Our sales person was wonderful and worked tirelessly helping my niece try on and re-try on many dresses.We were telling my niece that she would know she found her dress when she cried. Well, after trying on a good variety of dresses, she went back to a dress she had liked earlier. This time when she looked in the mirror she started crying (and so did we. Luckily there were boxes of Kleenex nearby). She said that this dress made her feel like a bride and we agreed!Our BIG PROBLEM was that the sales dress my niece fell in love with was smaller than she needed, but thanks to the imagination of our sales person AND the in-house alterations expert, they were able to find a creative way to make the dress fit beautifully!Of the places we went to, Something Blue had the best selections of styles. Try on different styles, because the dress she got was not the dress she thought she wanted.We cant wait for the wedding in November!

I am a bridesmaid for my sister-in-laws big day. We all went to Something Blue Bridal Boutique together a few months ago to each pick out a dress. They have a wonderful selection for all styles and body types. It was effortless to find dresses for everyone in just a couple of hours. I went back for my fitting appointment (in which I showed up about 30 minutes early for) and they were very accommodating and took me right away. The owner and sales associates are very friendly and easy to talk to. Its wonderful to have such a great down-to-earth boutique right here in the heart of my hometown. I WILL recommend Something Blue Bridal Boutique to others and I am confident that they will have similar experiences.

Was very impressed by my first 2 experiences at this boutique. Stephanie helped me all times and was very sweet, so the remainder of this review is not based off her customer service. Its based off the owners response...When it came time to pick up dress they fell short. I was told on the phone that my dress was in and to come in within the next couple weeks to pick up. Out of courtesy I called back and asked specifically if I needed to make an appointment to try on the dress so i could get a price quote before it was time for the real fitting. I did this to avoid a wait as I do not have much free time with working 50 hours a week. After putting on the dress and thinking the seamstress would be coming out to quickly look at the dress to give me a quote, I found out that I should have never been told I did not need an appointment. They said it would be another 30 minutes. The owner never appolagized she just questioned who told me that. She did not seem to want to accommodate me when I told her what happened. And was okay with me telling her I will go some where else to get fitted. It probably would have taken them 5 minutes to give me a quote. But its okay because I paid her in cash for my dress and they got their money. Very disappointing.

Wow!! I never knew Bradenton had such a gem of a shop ! We were recently dress shopping for a friends wedding and all the ladies in the shop were extremely professionally and kind. My friend did purchase a beautiful gown and we also ordered all the bridesmaid dresses as well . It was so nice knowing that you can also have all alterations done at the shop as well. FABULOUS!! I highly suggest not using big box stores. Something Blue offers an intimate experience, and you never feel rushed or pressured like you do at big box stores. They are enthusiastic and you can tell that all the employees love what they do. They have a great selection of dresses and a truly reasonable price! Ive been with 2 brides for their dresses, and have found my own dress! Certainly a great place to support a local business and have a great time while doing it! :)

I am getting married 10/5/13 and visited the site 1/26/13 for my dress. This is the best boutique you will ever need to visit. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and fun! They truly make you feel like you are a princess! The boutique is decorated beautifully. The selection of dresses is amazing for the size of the boutique. They have all the styles of the season, plus some oldies but goodies. Accessories, shoes, tux rentals, you name it, Something Blue does it. Since my experience, Ive recommended 3 people to this shop for their dress and bridal party attire, and they have been more than pleased. Bottom line- dont waste your time going anywhere else.

I had the absolute BEST experience finding my wedding dress at Something Blue. I had not intended on going dress shopping that particular day but i called in and Joan said if I came in around lunch she would assist me herself, and she did JUST that. Im very disappointed with the service at Something Blue. Being a bridesmaid for my brothers wedding is a thrilling experience and trying on dresses here was not the experience I was hoping for. We did not receive any help from the workers when it came to finding the dresses. It did not feel personal at all. With the help of the rest of the bridal party, I was able to find a dress. This was back in June and we ordered them then understanding that they would arrive in September. It is now October and my dress has yet to arrive. The lack of communication on the stores end is pathetic. Im attending University up in Canada and wont be coming home until February for the wedding. In order to get my dress altered it has to be shipped to me up in Canada and I have to get it altered here. Given the time constraints and possibility of the dress being lost in transit, it doesnt help that those running this store are equally as clueless as to when the dress will arrive. Dont recommend this place for its uncanny lack of reliability.

I went in this week with my four bridesmaids- they had a fantastic selection and we were able to find a perfect dress, in my color, at great prices, for all four of them in roughly 2 hours. This was our first stop on what we thought would be a long exhausting day of searching for dresses- quite the opposite at Something Blue! The owner and sales clerks were kind and helpful and the experience was utterly pleasant. Their customer service was above and beyond- from double checking rush order times for various brands, to matching lowest prices found online. Definitely recommend giving them a try!!

I bought my wedding dress 2yrs ago from this shop and owner herself help me find what I was looking for and today a brought a dress for just $20 to wear at my friends wedding. Great customer service, amazing people, and wedding dress for whatever your looking for!! I will return

Kristi the owner was amazing I found my dress out of town in Charleston SC. I came back to Sarasota and no one sold Morilee expect something blue bridal. I called and Stacey helped me order the dress. They even let me try on about 5 other dresses to make sure the one I chose was the one. Never did they make me feel like I didn’t belong because of my budget. They did not rush me or question why I wanted to try more on. They called me immediately when it came in. I had to change my alteration appointment multiple times because of my work schedule. They were so understanding every time. Kristi helped me with my jewelry and veil. They are extremely helpful and attentive. I was so pleased with my experience. Every time I had a crazy stupid question they answered them professionally. Trust me I called a lot! No other bridal store in town even answered the phone or called me back to see about ordering my dress. I drove 45 minutes from Sarasota to something blue bridal for great customer service and prices . Also I couldn’t find a dress for my rehearsal dinner. They have the most beautiful selection of all dresses! I bought my rehearsal dinner dress and my reception dress here . Trust me dillards and Macy’s have nothing on something blue selections .Thank you kristi and your team for making my day perfect

I walked in looking for a prom dress and asked them if they had anything in sizes 00-3, because I am a very petite woman. I was laughed at and told that they didnt have anything for me, but I could check in the back. There were two dresses in my size, and both were not what I was looking for. However, they had plenty of dresses in larger sizes. Left frustrated.

Had a great experience with ordering a tux at the shop. It came in on the day I needed it,in fact a day early. The women at the shop were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recomend this shop to all the guys I know that need a tux. It was busy with brides also.

I went in looking for an inexpensive wedding dress. It didnt have to be white. I asked ahead of time if they had any in my price range. They said yes. Basically I was shown Junior style cocktail dresses. It was embarrassing and not the way I thought the appointment would go. I wish they just told me that they only had prom dresses in my price range.

I decided to try and rent a tux for my prom. After anxiously waiting for my tux to come in it did not fit correctly as measured. With little time to prepare for prom they refused to give me a refund and the owner was very rude to me even after I tried to be patient and civil. I definitely will not be recommending this place to another friend of mine.

Lots of dresses for different occasions. Came here for a bridesmaid dress and there was a whole wall of bridesmaid dresses close to our budget but they only carry several of the same dresses in a whole lot of different colors. I wouldve loved to see more of a variety in dresses.

Personal attention. Bigger than you might think from the outside. Great staff and several Simi private try on areas. Definitely worth a look if you are shopping for a wedding dress.

I had the most amazing experience here! I worked with Cruz--a wonderful bridal consultant who found my DREAM dress for me! I was visiting Florida from CT and went in here with my aunt just to try on a few dresses. I was looking for a specific designer and they carried many styles. We tried on a few dresses...in a few different styles and I wasnt overly excited about any of them. Before I changed, Cruz pulled one more dress that I would have never picked myself. I tried it on, just for the fun of it and I fell IN LOVE. I finally had my first bride moment when I put the dress on. We came back later that day with my mom and the minute she saw it, she also knew it was the one! We made an appointment for the next day (Saturday---they get very busy!) and my dress was there and ready for another viewing! She took all of my measurements and placed the order for my dress very quickly, which was perfect because we had to fly home that afternoon--we had a very small amount of time to be at the shop. All of the consultants were very friendly, engaging and in no way did they make you feel like you HAD to buy a dress. It was an absolutely wonderful experience--by far the best I have had dress shopping. I did not expect to go dress shopping while on vacation, let alone purchase one! I am SO glad we went in here! The shop is very clean and the dresses are all presented well. If we didnt live 1,200 miles away--I would have all of my bridesmaids in here to find their dresses! Thank you to Cruz and the entire staff--I am one happy bride!

Very warming environment easy fitting

Ordered a Levkoff bridesmaid dress, and I was told by the staff to order the extra length for a $20 charge. The boutique asked to complete the alterations after the dress arrived, I politely declined, but found that my local tailor has to remove 4 inches off of the 5 inch added length - due to the double-layer fabric, I am being charged $70 for the *removal* of the extra length. So, in total, I am paying $90 for one inch of extra fabric? I feel as if the associates could have been more honest with me, rather than seemingly attempting to initiate a more expensive alteration (that they intended to complete in-house.) It is a reasonable expectation, as a client, to receive more up-front, honest information when placing the original order. Several other bridesmaids have also been told to add the extra length and go up 2 sizes, and they are facing similar alteration overages. I would appreciate a response and resolution to this matter.

This was our first experience as a bridal party trying on bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns and we were completely disappointed with the service. The staff seemed very unwilling to help even when the bride was trying on her dresses the bridal party was the ones having to clamp her dress and fix it when it was gathered around the podium. However the dresses were very beautiful just hope to see the service improve.

I didnt read any reviews until after my experience, and some concerns are similar to mine. (Im bride to be). I made an appointment for today to look and try on wedding dresses with my sister(MOH) to keep me company. I arrived 25min prior to my appointment, was greeted casually, as if walking into a convenient store. No enthusiasm, nor given a congratulations, or seemed excited or passionate about the business she is working in. I was immediately asked, strictly after my hello, what my budget is. (Ive never been married or tried dresses on before.) so I was very comfortable and confident with my budget number. I was lead upstairs to the off the rack selections, which then later was described as used dresses. I did not get a tour of the rest of the shop, or given history or education about the facility. This young lady was educated regarding alteration price ranges and showed me some accessories, but as far as asking what my style dress Im envisioning, or my size I may be...bottom line, she was completely useless when looking at dresses and she knew my selection(I guess) was limited. .. she literally stood there with no emotion, no smile, and had me feeling like I was inconveniencing her. Im sure this facility is over all nice but I wouldnt know. So now Im poorly fitted with a dress on and the quote of a USED dress is starting at $700, not including alterations. Thats ridiculous. I recieved no privacy when I tried talking to my sister about the dress, the facility, our opinion on everything because this girl just stood there and listened, didnt even offer to help take the dress off and give us privacy to talk things over. My sister had to TEXT me. We left.... and went to Davids Bridal, and because this facility shamed me on my budget,and had me feeling like my money wasnt good enough, I felt shy to tell another professional facility my budget. (An observation my sister made, not my own!) Needless to say, delete my contact information and I dont want any information from this place. Today, I said YES to my dress at Davids Bridal, talked TO a seamstress too, and had TWO girls who were passionate about their position. They were honest, and respected my budget. My dress, alterations and even the accessories I loved all came out to be $500... and Im NOT ashamed to say that, why? Because we are all on a budget, and some people have more or less than others.. and ladies, you deserve the time, excitement and the vibes of feeling flawless no matter the cost. Dont let anyone or any facility treat or judge you differently based on YOUR BUDGET, Babes! Skip this step, I wish I did, and just go to Davids Bridal.

I had went to try on a prom dress a couple of weeks ago, the dress came in looking nothing like the picture. And, did not fit me right but still had to pay the cost. Not only was the dress wrong but the way I was treated was too! I certainly do not understand how the owner continues to always comeback with statements saying in every which way she could possibly be right and the costumer in which paid her is wrong. Wondering if she just wants my money and just assumes cause I am younger I must be stupid.

Ordered a veil. Middleman. Could only order a veil that I saw on line through them.

These people have been terrible to deal with from the beginning. Totally unresponsive, had to call them around 4 times to even get through - never returned the voicemail messages I left. When I finally was able to order my bridesmaid’s dress over the phone, they we’re not helpful when choosing the correct dress size for me. I let them know I was normally a double zero and told them my measurements, and they told me from my measurements I would be a size 4 which is completely wrong - then told me they would upsize me because they run small, I trusted them even though I was adamant it sounded too large. It took them four months to finally get the dress to me. Once I got the dress, it was obviously extremely large, so I called them asking what my options were. Again, they were nasty over the phone and I even spoke with the owner who was rude and offered no solutions to the problem, even though it was clearly their fault for not knowing their product and not listening to me. Would not recommend using this place. Unprofessional and terrible customer service.
