Jon Larson is the guy to get if you want an amazing guided fishing experience. Jon took us out on pelican and we were catching fish within seconds of landing at our first spot. He was incredibly knowledgeable on all things fishing and really took the time to help us understand the how and why of doing certain things. I am not a big fisher myself but I had so much fun and would go out with Jon again! He really goes out of his way to make it a special fishing experience!!

John was awesome as a guide and was very willing to share his knowledge of fishing with us. If the fish stopped biting, we moved to a location where they were. It was a great outing, and we look forward to going out with him again.

2 great trips with Hays Baldwin going after largemouth bass and northern pike. We caught 46 bass and 4 panfish in a 4 hour trip, and 13 pike using live bait in another 4 hour trip. Hays knows his stuff, he’s a great teacher and fun to share a boat with. I’d highly recommend fishing with Hays!

We had a 4 hour fishing trip with Jon Larson as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and great with young children (ages 7 and 9 in our case). Our kids caught largemouth bass, northern pike and crappie and had an amazing time! We highly recommend Jon as a guide in this area.

We bent out with Hays Baldwin for my sons 12th birthday present. Hammered the large mouth. Caught about 40 2-4 or 5 lb bass. He was great with my son. Showed him some new tricks. Really great with kids. When we left I asked my son if he had a good birthday present. He responded “yes, you’re the best dad ever” need I say more!!!!!!

When we called morning of they said there was an issue, never called back, we called again & they said our guide was double booked! Offered no remedy to the situation that morning. This is our second year using this service. This year we went out with John.After giving us some advice about the conditions to inform our decision on what we wanted to fish for, we settled in on bass and pike. After a very short boat ride we were at our spot. John gave us a little bit of instruction and we started pulling in the fish left and right. He continued to give little pointers and tons of encouragement throughout the day. He was even patient with my 8 year old nephew, making the entire thing a game, pitting him against the rest of the boat for who could catch more. Of course John was the one joking the fish and letting the kid reel them in.I can recommend this service 100 percent. Fun, professional, patient, kind, knowledgeable, wise,, and engaging are all adjectives that only begin to describe the service.If youre in the area and want to have a good time fishing, this is THE ONLY place to hire.Of you go with them, you will not they it.

Went out with John Blong on a blustery cloudy day, started slow but finished strong with six very nice fish. Been out with John several times. Always have a great time and generally go home with fish to fry.

I like to share my experience with this amazing fishing tour. First of all, it was one of the most beautiful and enjoyable experiences in my life that has never is forgotten even its details. John is a professional and responsible tour guide. His schedule for all activities and details was amazing. He set up everything on time from 0 to 100. His boat was in good size and almost new and fit 5 people as listed.We were on the boat from 9 am to 3 pm and we caught around 50 fish (northern pike and big mouth bass). 2 northern pikes were in such a big size that cut the line. my son and I had a super fun fishing day with John. Even when John catching the fish, he was giving his fishing pole to my son for doing the rest of the job. Indeed, Jhon was trying his best to make us happier and actually he was successful. After we’ve done with fishing, Jhon cleaned and filleted fish in very good shape and ready to cook. I wish l could rate Jhon 7 stars from 5 stars😊. We were looking for a great fishing experience, but discovered the highlight of the trip was meeting Jon.We went fishing with Jon Larson while there for our sons hockey camp. First thing he did was ask us questions to determine where to take us. He is the coolest guy, so personable and a great guide not only for fishing but talking about the area.We caught so many Fish we started releasing because we knew we would eat them all.Can’t wait to see him again and will be booking multi days with him.

An incredible afternoon of fishing with John. He lives up to the 5 star reviews and accolades. He took us out to a small lake off the pavement and down the gravel road. We were the only ones at the access and very little boat traffic on the lake, but we moved around the lake to a few different spots and caught our limit. Fantastic action all afternoon - some very nice bass and pike caught and released because they were so big — but we have the photos and the memories — and we had an amazing fish fry with today’s catch! John told interesting stories and was a great teacher for a group of novice fishermen. Would highly recommend. John won’t disappoint.

John was a great guide. It was very foggy the entire time we were out but he got us out on the lake safely and on some fish. He was very professional and friendly, he made the time fly by. I totally recommend him for any skill level, I haven’t fished since I was little and used a cane pole and he was able to help me catch 3 great fish. And to top it all off he very quickly and efficiently cleaned all the fish so when we got back they were ready to cook. Thanks, John.
