Judy is absolutely amazing and made my wedding what is turned out to be! I planned my micro wedding and 6 weeks which made me believe that I couldn’t have a true bridal gown because there just wasn’t enough time. I ordered a simple white dress online but wanted to see if I could find a true bridal gown before my big day. That’s when I found Judy and all my hopes were answered. Her shop is off the rack, she does alterations, her knowledge and expertise are evident, and she is truly focused on finding you the dress that is meant for you. She is the whole package! Every appointment you have with her she makes you feel special, heard and removes and stress or worries you might be feeling. My mom and I live on opposites coasts and she couldn’t attend in person but Judy went above and beyond to make my mom apart of the process. She even scheduled it so my mom could attend the final fitting while my mom was in town before the big day. My mom and I will forever be grateful we found Judy and that she was able to work her magic in such short notice. I cannot recommend enough and I will boast about her to anyone with ears.

I absolutely love this shop and the owner Judy. I had the typical 2020 wedding planned and had to cancel twice. As the new date 8/12 approached, everything was going great. Then, I had a seamstress I was referred to as being in the business for over 30 years literally cut my dress in front of me and then had me try it on, and say I ruined your dress. She had cut it incorrectly and one side was showing my calf. I literally started to cry because this was the final fitting and my wedding was about 10 days away. I thought about cancelling again because I thought there was no way to get another dress and get it altered in that time frame. I called my sister in law and she calmed me down. Monday she made some calls and came across The Bridal Secret. We both were unfamiliar with it but Judy offered to open the shop that day just to come in. We ended up going the following day. Judy warned us she could not tailor the dress because she was just too busy. Luckily I found a dress I loved but it was too long. Judy took it upon herself to make some calls and found a tailor that said he could alter the dress. On my way home, I received a call from Judy asking when can you be at Michael Boston for the Bride which happened to be in my town! I was shocked and on my way. Micheal started working on my dress that night and it came out amazing. Throughout the week, Judy checked in on me frequently to see how things were going. She was so caring and helpful. I ended up getting married as planned. I highly recommend Judy and The Bridal Secret.

Judy is absolutely amazing! I originally met her while shopping with my friend for her dress. Her knowledge and expertise is amazing and immediately puts you at ease. She truly is focused on finding you that one and only dress. Not only does she help you find you an amazing dress she does an amazing job with alterations! Judy was absolutely wonderful to work with! From my first time meeting her up through a month after the wedding, she put so much thought and care into my bridal experience. I highly recommend The Bridal Secret! I initially searched for a convenient location for my mom and I to meet to shop for wedding dresses and came across the Bridal Secret. It was the first place I went to and I found my dress in half an hour because of her beautiful selection! (Our appointment time was for longer, but I just knew the moment I put it on!) In that half hour, though, Judy made my mom and I very comfortable as we had her full attention as she guided me to ultimately saying yes to the dress! I got married back in October of 2019 and chose my dress from The Bridal Secret in January of 2019. It was a WONDERFUL experience working with Judy. The dresses in her shop are all beautiful and high quality. She is very knowledgeable and kind! I even ended up losing 6 inches around my waist between January and October, and Judy was able to alter the dress to fit like a glove despite how much my size changed over the months before my wedding. I made an appointment in December during the sample sale. I didnt know what to expect, but I ended up walking out the door completely wow-ed and with a BEAUTIFUL dress! The owner is certainly experienced and knows her stuff, shes not just in it for the sales. I walked in thinking I wanted a certain type of dress (from pinterest and other google searches). I know what I definitely didnt want and told her my thoughts. She entertained me and put me in what I *thought* I wanted and very quickly I realized I was SO WRONG. She asked me to trust her and put me in the exact opposite dress with everything I thought I didnt want and the second I put it on I knew it was my dress!! I couldnt believe it!! I felt amazing and NEVER would have tried it on in another store. The owner knows body types and what works for different women. I was so thankful for trusting her and cant wait to wear this dress later in the year!!

I can’t even explain how great my experience was with Judy! She is so welcoming and makes your feel so comfortable. Even with Covid she made sure everything was perfect. She altered my dress and removed the cap from my mothers veil (38 years old)and replaced it with a clip. The shop is absolutely stunning and when you go for the fittings no one else is there so Judy gives you all the attention which is nice. She even has amazing head pieces that went great with the style of dress and veil I had. This year due to Covid I had to have a small wedding and will have big reception next year and will be back to see Judy for any adjustments I may have to make. Judy is phenomenal. She kept me in budget, worked with my travel schedule, and has such an unbelievable talent for what she does. Went here on a whim just to start to get an idea of the type of dress I was looking for and 15 minutes in and four dresses later I found the one! I cant recommend The Bridal Secret enough. I was very excited to visit and meet Judy to try on dresses based on the reviews and how pleasant she was via email. However she was extremely rude and unprofessional once I arrived. She rushed us out of the location and was very rude to my mother after she made a simple comment about the first dress, after 15 min I knew I did not want to purchase from her. She rolled her eyes at any comments that were made from anyone and made a comment about my skin color that shocked everyone in the room. Overall the selection of dresses was extremely limited and I would not recommend coming here. Not only because the limited amount of pieces available but this is your day and you want to feel special and beautiful and excited, she will not provide that for you and you deserve it.

I went to The Bridal Secret after hearing about the shop from my Mom. The reviews I read online made me hopeful that this was going to be the place that I would find my dream wedding dress!! Prior to going to the shop I didn’t have any idea of what style dress I was looking for. Judy was amazing during the process and did a great job pulling different dress selections based on my reaction to previous dresses I tried on. I narrowed it down to three dresses and Judy was kind enough to fit me in another day so my sister could come and see them as well. After I left the first day, I just kept thinking about what Judy had said about remembering how each dress made me feel when I looked in the mirror. *Long Post* From beginning to end my experience with Ms.Judy now also known as “My homegirl” lol was one of a kind . She’s beyond informative and VERY confident in her boutique . Not the type of confident that only wants a sale but the one that will ask just the right questions to make sure once you arrive you’re not going to leave without “Saying YES to the dress” . She’s also straightforward with what she does and doesn’t allow which I love and respect as a fellow business owner . Not only did I say HELL YES to my big day dress but I also felt like family the way she cared for my grandmother (who is disabled) before I even arrived. My grandmothers transportation happened to drop her off a bit earlier than my Appt. It made me nervous since I know she usually goes strictly by appt but luckily she welcomed my grandmother with opened arms and helped her into the building with her wheelchair . I was so honored to be able to have her there with me . She loved the ambiance and of course loved my dress as well .My best advice is to shop around and see different gowns/customer service experience at other bridal shops and make Judy’s one of your last stops . I can almost guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. Oh and you can’t go wrong with the “By Appointment Only” feature. Being the only bride with her attention was an amazing touch. My family and I appreciated that as well .. She definitely lives up to her 25+ years of raving reviews. Thank you again Judy for such a perfect experience ❤️

Judy has been nothing but great with me! I have only been planning my wedding for 4 months because my fiancé will be getting deployed. Judy was so great and squeezed me in to find a dress! I picked my dress up yesterday for my wedding next weekend and could not be happier with my experience here! I would highly recommend her to anyone else!

Judy was very helpful from the moment I emailed her to the moment I walked into her store. Based on the dress I told her I wanted she found me a beautiful gown that I fell in love with. She is very good at what she does. Cant wait for my wedding day to wear my beautiful gown.

Judy is amazing!! From the second I called to ask for an appointment she was extremely helpful. The shop is gorgeous with an amazing selection. She is custom making my veil and I know my alterations will be done to perfection. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking!!!

Judy is truly the best! Everything from picking out my dress (the one I ended up with is the one SHE picked out and knew would look amazing on me), to my fittings, to picking up my dress was seamless. With all the stress that comes with planning a wedding it was SO nice to not have to worry, not once, about anything related to my dress. Judy altered, stored, and pressed my dress--she even made my veil! Now on top of all of this...her dresses are SO AFFORDABLE! This place is seriously such a gem. Any bride who decides to go here will be in good hands. I recommend the Bridal Secret without reservation! Thank you, Judy! Xo

After looking for an intimate setting around the South Shore to set up an appointment for my fiance at the time, I came across The Bridal Secret. After reaching out and setting a date, I was under the impression she would get the experience I was searching for.. she did get the intimate part as it is appointment only for no interuptions, but that is about the only good thing I can say. She was left with a feeling of being rushed (apparently theres no touching other dresses during your try-on which is fully understandable.. however to reject the brides opinions and requests to look at additional dresses, because as the owner you dont feel it is a good fit compared to the ones youve pre-selected, seems a little backwards from a consultant perspective IMO). Unfortunately, that is not where it ends. She was also left feeling extremely uncomfortable about questions towards her and her mothers background (Ill leave the exact wording out, but think you can imagine where this is going). Needless to say, my fiance went elsewhere and was given the treatment a bride should receive. This happened in Nov/Dec 2018, so while I would hope there has been change, judging from previous reviews, these situations should be somewhat expected at this place of business.

I had a very pleasant and easy experience with Judy. Alterations on my dress came out beautiful. Very happy and highly recommend!

If you are looking for your dream dress please go see Judy!!!! She is amazing, has wonderful prices and so many different dresses to choose from! She is honest and caring! I love Judy and would recommend the whole world to go to her!

I Loooooooveeee Judy. She has helped me so much in my decision making process. I cannot say enough. Her store is gorgeous and inviting and I love that she is by appointment so brides aren’t standing next to other brides. Her new location is ammmmaaaazzing. ❤️

First off, I cannot say ENOUGH about how wonderful Judy is!!! Her gorgeous and impeccably CLEAN shop, The Bridal Secret, is immediately impressive upon walking in. She and her staff are top notch in the industry and her attention to detail is stunning.Second, her prices are amazing!!! They are BRAND NEW DESIGNER dresses for so so much less than the big chain stores. She also has a full range of sizes from Petite Pixie all the way to Gorgeous Goddess. I was worried that as a plus size bride, I wouldnt be able to find anything, but I should never have given it a second thought! Not only did she have my size (and many that were larger), there was such a vast range of styles! I tried on five or six dresses and loved every one more than the last! Besides, with Judys expertise as a seamstress and dressmaker, she is able to hand-tailor every dress to fit a brides body perfectly.Now, I have to mention that she also SAVED my veil. The story goes as such: I bought some fabric and my aunt made the veil for me. I showed Judy and tried it on with my dress, only to find out that my aunt had completely butchered the lace that I bought and sewed it completely wrong!!! Thank GOODNESS I showed it to Judy; she completely revamped the veil and fixed it for me so that it was prettier and more elegant than I could have ever imagined.Finally, Judys drive to go above and beyond what is expected of a great vendor is astounding. She continually impressed me with her knowlegde, skill, professionalism and most important, kindness. In short, if a bride doesnt call The Bridal Secret to be pampered by Judy during an individual consulation appointment, she is doing herself a great dis-service. There are certainly other bridal shops, but there is only ONE Bridal Secret and Judy is one of a kind!!!

Wedding dress shopping was the easiest part of my planning, thanks to Judy. She made the whole process seamless from purchasing the gown, through alterations, and including dry cleaning and proper storage after our wedding. Thank you, Judy!!

Please do not waste your time or energy coming to this location. The owner unfornuatley is a complete racist and will make you feel unwelcomed if your a shade darker than yellow. Its so sad that there are people that still exsist like this.

I was attracted to this place because of all those good reviews. However, I have to share my personal experience to give other bridals a full picture of what they may encounter, at least be prepared and manage their expectations.A few things to note. Judy is the only person who manages the store and also does alteration. So you can imagine she is busy. If you are not sure you will make your decision to buy on the spot, you may want to go somewhere else first. There are way more friendly Bridal shops out there who are more patient and genuinely willing to help. I wish I knew in advance, so I would not have wasted my emotion and time there, and importantly her time too! She is so busy, so dont bother her if you are not sure you know you want to give her the business.You will have an hour of your first appointment. Please set up an alarm at the exact end time so you dont feel rushed and embarrassed when she becomes impatient and try to rush you out. Be mindful that the appointment and experience is not about what you want. Everything is under her control.According to her, you can have a second half an hour appointment - I was told she was busy but can squeeze me in for half an hour. After I said I can go back another time when she is less busy to have an hour although I may not take that long so I dont have to feel rushed if I need to make my decision. She just said half an hour should be enough for you, it has been enough for other bridals. If you dont want that half an hour, I understand. Okay, I got it. There are way more other places to shop and spend for my wedding dress and feel happy about it. I really dont have to go through this. By the way, you can only re-try 2-3 dresses you are interested from the last try (I didnt even get to see many of her dresses the first time at all because she didnt let me, as I said it was under her control what you do there).The name of the store is bridalsecret. It seems it is really very secretive about what she has and how she does things.- You have to agree to her policies before you go. No camera, no kids under 12, only 2-3 guests.- She claimed her dresses are all from designers. I asked her in the store and afterwards who the designers are for the dresses I was interested. She refused to tell me by ignoring my questions in person and in emails. I have no clue where her dresses are from. It is a secret!- You will buy the sample gown, not that you will get a new one.- She only does basic alterations not full service.A bad experience for me. I definitely would not recommend. Hopefully it is just mine. But I do hope to share my experience so you are prepared if you do want to check out her place.Hope these help! Happy shopping! I highly recommend La Reine in Waltham. A heaven for bridals!
