I bought a Samsonite 28” Freeform that did not hold up when traveling. The exterior was scratched and scuffed and I just bought it in October 2017 and traveled in February 2018.Also, be aware when buying the type of luggage like this that opens in two halves. Most Hotels do not have a stand or place to put it. The length is not standard so if you lay it down opened you must position it carefully or things will tumble out.The other problem with this bag is one side is zip up to hold your wears but the other side has a strap. So when you open the luggage if you do not cover the strap half with plastic tucked in the sides, your items will fall out.The store that I bought it in had wonderful personnel but they neglected to tell me all that I mentioned above.I have contacted Samsonite customer service to see if they could do anything about this luggage but they have yet to return my calls.I would stay away from this type of bag if you travel. Samsonite owns most of the luggage industry so make sure when you go and buy a new piece of luggage it will hold up in all aspects.
