Best comic book store I’ve found in or near the tampa area!The staff is helpful and they have tons of stuff. Hard not to find something you’re looking for. I definitely recommend this store to anyone wanting to get their hand in some comics!

I have gone here since i was 3 i love this place so much its more like a community than a store but if you are trying to find some books with goods prices for tweens and adults this is the place to go there are many books to get there they even have the whole series of saga if your into that :)

The greatest comic book store I have ever been to. It is so nice to have a place that is so personable where strangers have conversations together about which characters they like the best. It is a place we can take our son who has special needs and he enjoys picking out his new kids comics that are always stocked. It is also a place where my husband can go and see great friends and knows he can always find whatever comic or graphic novel he wants. Of course our teenager would spend ours there if we let him. 🥰

So glad we found this shop! It’s a great spot, the owner is a class act and the quality of books are excellent so this is well worth the 1 hour drive. Love the way the books are displayed and cared for and friendly customer service. What else can you ask for? My only complaint is that it’s an hour away. If you’re close enough stop by and enjoy!

Bought a halo fall of reach hard back graphic novel from here like a year ago and was very very pleased. Honestly it was cheaper than anywhere else I looked online. The guy I talked to when I was their was very very friendly and helped me out right away when I told him what I was looking for. Great place!!!

Today was my 11th or 12th Free Comicbook Day that Ive spent with Scott and the gang at Read More Comics. Despite the world shutting down last year, FCBD being set on a completely different day (its been the second saturday in may since its inception) and Megacon sharing this weekend I had the BEST experience at the shop (a tall order as the entire reason I make the hour and 20 minute drive to get there is because each and every experience has been amazing. Helpful, knowledgable and extremely kind staff alone would keep me coming back, but like a true super hero Scott not only offers 25% off of any trade paperback (graphic novel) everyvsingle day but has an enormous $1 section, toys, statues and even apparel. If that werent enough, this FCBD and ALL FCBDs Ive spent with the gang they offer every single comic without restriction (with a polite understanding that you take only what you want to read and only one of each title so that everyone can enjoy the event). Too that on FCBD they also offer 50% off of MOST of the store (definitely every single book on the back issue wall) and still they find the time to offer free water and snacks in this god awful florida heat. Scott and the crew do all of this with a smile on their face, an anecdote on whichever superhero is your favorite and an uncanny ability to remember your name usually after only your first (of I promise you many) visit. Keep up the great work everyone and thank you for my favorite FCBD yet of years of amazing youve generously provided up until now. 10/10. Go visit them. You will he elated.

This place is awesome. The owner is a chill, knowledgeable guy thats clearly passionate about the material he sells. If your new to comics this is a great place to pick up your first few issues. P.s - youll be back ;)

It is a modern comic book shop. Offers almost no back issues or high end key books. Sadly nothing that I was interested. Just has a lot of modern and trades that are found in every comic book store...

Great hidden gem in the Brandon area. So I Typed in nearest comic book spot near me. I came across Read More Comics. So I called owner told him I’m on my way. He stated I will be waiting for you. That right there! caught my attention. Owner so welcoming and courteous. I’m glad I discovered Read More Comics. I’m definitely a customer for life. The customer service AAA+ hands down.

This shop is a hidden GEM! Scott is a super kind and friendly shop owner who responds to inquiries via email very quickly and will gladly subscribe or put aside specific books for you without a problem. Being new to the Tampa area in general, Im glad to now call this my go-to LCS!

I can understand not wanting to give a full 5 stars to a place if youre really concerned about absolute perfection but anything under 4 stars for RMC is absolute BS.Ive been an on again off again reader my whole life and RMC is hands down the best experience Ive found in the area and Ive visited all of them.

Its always fun when Scotts around. Which is all the time. Been coming here for years. Always takes the time to help out and recommend reading. Not many comics shop offer the level of service this shop does.

Woke up with an itch to buy some comics today so looked on Google to find some stores. Made my way to RMC and was blown away by the selection. I didnt even have time to review the back issues as the graphic novel selection was so massive. I look forward to returning soon!

Great for FCBD and for the comics you need

This is absolutely my favorite comic shop. I have been going there for almost 9 years now and I will continue to shop there for all of my comic needs. The staff is incredibly helpful and they are kind people too they are the reason I shop here. They always keep a great inventory in stock and will offer to order something specific for you if you cant find it.

This bar none the Best and wisest Comic book stores in not jist Brandon. I littery purchased my first 181 from the owner years ago before the comic book world went viral. Plus this store has one of the only Shells restaurants in the state of Florida if you love seafood. So shop and eat or eat and shop .

An amazing comic store with an extremely large selection of last week and new this week titles. There are toys, statues, and graphic novels. This is a shop you want to go to if you love comics and comic book stuff. If it is your first time going and you use Google Maps it may take you behind the building. The brown awning and yellow buildings are behind. If you end up there proceed to go out and follow a small road to the right and it will be on your right hand side.

Very good selection to look through. The folks working here know their stuff. While looking through some of the new comics I did over hear a interesting conversation on Cheetos and which ones were the best. The people having the conversation were in agreement that the white cheese puff Cheetos do stink. The conversation alone was worth the visit, the collection of items is the real reason to stop by.

My boyfriend and father in law love this place! Recommend for all comic lovers. The owner is super nice and friendly! Feels like home coming here. Also, many comic selections and the owner notify us whenever there are new comics! Very nice and friendly! It’s a little hard to find, but it’s a special place if you find it.

Ive been going to this place for years. They have a great selection and customer service. All the employees and owner are really knowledgeable and good about recommendations. Hands down the best shop in Tampa Bay! Scott is great. My comics are always pulled and waiting for me every Wednesday. And whenever I ask for some random older comic or variant cover he always manages to track it down and have it at the store for me.

Great little hole in the wall. The location is brutal to get into and you probably have no idea its even there, which is unfortunate.Im not a big comic guy but this location has a massive selection tucked away in a little store. The owner is very knowledgeable, he is a man of few words but if you have a question you will be glad to answer you and hes very knowledgeable.The selection of graphic novels is expansive and there is a 25% discount on all graphic novels which I think makes his price is very competitive across other businesses. I highly recommend this place for the novice or the advanced reader. Whether you are looking for a gem a rarity or just something new Im certain youll be able to find something that will make you happy.

This is a place where you can let your nerdy little heart live. The owner of the shop is one of the nicest helpful easy going guy ever. Hell have a nice talk to you about almost anything making you feel like close friends. If you ever want he even will order comics or reserve then just for you. Any questions about any anything he will always be able or at least do his best to answer. He has a wide variety of toys and comics. This place really does know how to treat people . I got my daughter into comics recently . I got her a trade paperback that had old Batman stories in it and she loved it. she didn’t know the stories were printed in the 1990s lol . I need to buy more soon .

I once gave this store a one star review but over time allowing them to show me that the issue I had was probably me calling on a day when they were busy or other things were going on that I was not aware of. After visiting on and off and seeing the service thats provides and the great selection this store has I am rating it 5 stars. Please keep up the great work. An to the owner I am sorry for the one star review but at the time that was all the facts I had until recent visits over the last few months changed my mind . Congratulations . Other stores in the area didnt measure up to how great your store is .

When selling your collection or just a few comics they will offer you a fair amount for your books every time . It’s up to you if you want to take the offer . Just remember comics go up and down in popularity and this can change the value of your books . Not sure why some one got mad at them after taking the money . They treat everyone nicely .

Dont know why so many people like this store . Yes great deals on graphic novels and the latest comics but its not as great as it sounds. any true comic book fan/collector will agree. selling newer books mainly doesnt make you a true comic book store . A few long boxes and deep discounted graphic novels just means your trying to pass your self off as a comic book store . This worked for this store in 1999 when they opened and with all the newer readers because of the movies and tv shows who didnt know any better were sucked into what this store was telling them, but now other places have poped up who truly are a comic book store with back issues and games and so on . I hope you will look into the other stores before making this your go to shop . This store is also small . please look into the comics club, they are bigger, better selection of back issues, know more about comics, has games and they are a true comic book store .

I came here looking for a pop and the owner said he could order it for me. When he apparently placed the order he said call back at the end of the week and it should be in to be picked up. When I called he told me there was an error to call back the next week. When I called the following week it seemed like he had no idea what was happening. It was a huge waste of time and extremely unprofessional. Dont promise something you cant deliver.

Im an avid reader, and Im always on the hunt for good comic book stores, and I could give a review (good & bad) of just about every one in the Tampa Bay area. Of all the stores to choose from, my favorite HANDS DOWN is Read More Comics! I used to have a subscription at another store in Tampa Bay, but a few years ago I made the transition to Read More. Scott (the owner) is an honest man of integrity, who prides himself on treating each customer of his like gold. As a Daredevil completist, I know that Scott will ensure to get me the variants and hard to find comics without price gouging. Its also great to actually talk shop with an owner who actually READS COMICS (which should be the case with other store owners/staff, but typically not always the case). Plus, if youre looking for collections of great stories/graphic novels, there is no greater selection of GRAPHIC NOVELS/TPBs & Hardcovers ANYWHERE that I have witnessed (and Ive been to Mile High Comics in Denver - the biggest comic store in the world), and the prices are ALWAYS 25% off the cover the price! Folks, the best LCS in Tampa Bay is READ MORE COMICS!!!
