This place is absolutely gorgeous after the remodel. The toys are still pricey AF, but at least its pretty and pricey

This place had its ups and downs over the years, but darn it if it wasnt MY toy store since I was a kid. I fondly remember taking slips to the side window of my favorite video game so I could purchase it and how much of a big deal that was. I will never forget this store and I am so sad that future generations will not be able to enjoy the joy of walking into a toy store with wide eyes and full of wonderment of the possibilities.

My daughter and I are here at least twice a month adding to her L.O.L collection and participating in one of the many activities the store has planned for the weekend

Just went to look but cant leave without buying something. My son love it there.

Id always go there to buy toys based on the strawberry shortcake and sonic the hedgehog franchise.

I called this store to ask about promotional deals because I was planning on spending a good deal of money. I was told by the customer service member (young female) that the flyer was there at the counter but she had no idea of what deals were going on. I asked her, laughing, well can you please take a look for me? She reluctantly agreed and proceeded to put me on hold. After about 5 minutes, another woman came to the phone and asked me what she could help me with. AGAIN, i asked her what, if any deals they had going on. She said, one minute while I take a look. After ANOTHER 5 minutes on hold the customer service rep told me she could not access the deals at the moment. I couldnt help but laugh at her over the phone! Didnt the other woman just say that she had the flyer right there in front of her??? I hope these folks arent advocating for 15 dollars an hour!!! How can you work at a store and tell a customer you have, no idea what promotions are going on and expect that to be a sufficient answer!? I will take my business elsewhere.

Very clean and neat store. Friendly staff, Mariette was the best out of all of them. Super friendly, helped out as much as she could, actually looked like she enjoyed her job unlike most people. Shes the first one I look for if I need help finding anything or if shes on register. Best retail employee Ive met!

The remodel was behind schedule but definitely worth the wait. The Brandon store now feels like a flagship store and the service is usually great. There are some employees who are more helpful than others but thats in any business. Check out the redesigned store if you havent been here in the last 6 months or so. Very interactive experience for the kids with Lego building stations and mirror walls.

SCAM ALERT!Im usually skeptical and an educated shopper. I was concerned the universal 10% wasnt legit and I almost ALWAYS price match but this particular day my phone was dead. I actually asked the staff if these were real discounts and they said they believe so (I trust they actually did, no fault to them). I decided to take a chance and completed the non-refundable, non-exchangeable purchase. Big mistake!I just finished price checking and spent 25% MORE than I would have on the same items elsewhere. Im pissed! I feel like I was just scammed out of $80!If you go, make sure to go with a fully charged phone and be prepared to price check!!! Out of nine items, only ONE did Toys R Us have the lowest price for. SCAM!

Went to this location on 1/11 at around 7:30 pm. The womens bathroom only had one out of four stalls with toilet paper and looked absolutely disgusting, as if no one cleaned it for days. The manager looked like he was walking around aimlessly near the front and watching customers closely as they walked to the exit. Additionally, there were a lot of items low on stock. When I think of toy stores I imagine them being a magical place for little kids, but at this Toys R Us not so much.

Nate at Toys R Us in Brandon town Center is by far the most dedicated, professional and kind hearted man I have ever seen in your organization. I am a mother of three and he always greets myself and children with a smile and willing to help. My shopping experience at Toys R Us has always been positive because of Nates dedication to his job. Thank you Toys R Us for hiring at the highest standard. Nate is an asset to your organization.

Hard to find staff to help, most of them are playing with toys since they are kids themselves. Checkout lines get long before anyone comes to help. That process made longer by staff trying to sign you up for 2 or 3 different cards. While every other company is trying to make shopping and online pickup faster at this location an online order can take 30 mins before you get it in your hands. But the store is clean and brighter than before the remodel.

Drove to Brandon to pick up something here, only because I had left over money on a gift card. The place was a MESS! The folks stocking shelves werent polite or helpful. The item I went for was not in stock.Then, when it came time to check out. EVERYONE in lines on either side of me was arguing with the cashiers about pricing? How can that be in...but the place is a mess and you cant tell what anything costs?I had to carry two items around with me through the store to find a scanner to price them. I had a Crayola coupon, the girls register wouldnt take it. She was going to call the manager...for a $1 coupon. I told her to put the item back. I wasnt going to hold the poor people up behind me for that. (Nothing wrong with the coupon, it scanned fine at Micheals 20 minutes later.)Glad to know I have used all my gift card and dont need to deal with that again.

Looks great after remodeling. Had multiple registers opened on Saturday unlike before when there was usually only one. Hope the improvements are permanent. Now has a build a bear, and other well organized specialty areas.

The staff here is very knowledgeable and friendly! I hate to see the store go! Currently I was told by staff today that they are still receiving truck shipments in of toys/ect. so they are fully stocked. The discounts havent quite reached deep as of yet, most items are still 10-15% off as of now but will get lower each day, according to staff, so Ill be checking in at least weekly. Great business and lots of memories here with my children meeting Geoffrey the Giraffe. Wishing the amazing people here and this establishment the absolute best in their future endeavors. Thank you very much for all you have done and continue to do ToysRus staff. We definitely appreciate you.

Im going to miss this place so much. Feels like a huge piece of my childhood and my daughters childhood is being ripped away. Always great customer service, unique toys, hard to find items like premie clothes, or anything else you could ever dream of. Personnel always courteous, helpful and go the extra mile. We ordered a couple thing online but toysrus cancelled because apparently items were unavailable. We went to the nearest store and there he was the store manager! Amazing man, he helped us find the products that were unavailable on the website and honored the price! Totally satisfied with the experience in this store! We need more people like him Working in retail. He listen to us and took his time to help us out! Thank you again for making a good Christmas happen !

Its toy r us so as long as your going for toys its fine. I how ever went for baby items and was disappointed by the lack of selection. They had no clothes or anything like that. They had mostly diapers, wipes, formula/food/snacks, a few bottles and teethers and some bath items. The babies r us close to me is closing down so not sure where I will go now for my baby items

I have been shopping at this location for quite sometime and have never had an issue. Everyone has been super helpful and friendly. Since this is the only one in the area it seems to get busy at times but patience is a virtue and some people dont have that.

This is a pretty big store. It was clean and well organized for the most part. The store is going out of business and they are very low on stock right now. They didnt have anything that I was looking for although they did have a large selection of many items left.

I stopped here this am with my son to shop for a birthday present. This store is so clean, bright and well organized! The staff was friendly - and there were 5 on hand (just that I saw). I was dreading going to TRUs because the one closer to us in Wesley Chapel is always chaos. I was pleasently surprised. We will be driving here again!

Great childhood store. The only reason I dont give it a 5 is because many of the stores in my area are closing for good.

Average Toys R Us. Never any help when you need it. Toys were more pricey than other toys stores but, a huge selection. The store in Brandon was much cleaner and the bathroom were much cleaner than the 2 by where I use to live.

Absolutely unacceptable!!! I ordered a few items online and it said it was available at my local brandon store and it would be available within the hour...drove all the way to the store and they didnt have one of my items that said in Stock. here it is over 24hrs and its saying still in progress. Called customer service and all they could say is sorry it could take 5 to 7 business..to me thats false advertisement and they do that just to get you to go there. If not they need to do a better job keeping up with there inventory.

Clean and well stocked. However there is not ONE friendly employee here. No one is helpful they typically have 1 lane open and its the same lane as customer service. So kids have to stand in this line in front of a huge isle of candy... not easy with a 2 and 3 yr old.

Helpful and patient workers. They did everything they could, even in the busiest time of the year, to help me out. Remember the golden rule here, yall. If you treat people right, theyll bend over backwards to assist you.

I have visited this location many times. Each time the employees have been helpful and prompt with answering any questions I might have. I like that they have a good selection of imaginarium items including science and other educational toys.

Very very very organized and very well done here today on this black Friday I am very amazed at how everything went here better than any store I have ever went shopping at on a black Friday kept the crowds down and evven watched people as they went in even organized an amazing line i am very much so impressed and will always always shop here

I grow up begging to go to Toys R Us, and my kids LOVE it. Very sad that its closing. It was just remodeled and had a much better layout. Staff was friendly. Clean.

Was supposed to get a refund on a product I purchased on January 28th and I returned one of the products on February 1st and didnt receive my refund of 195 dollars and 70 cents. Ive contacted several times and Im being told I have to wait for someone in loss prevention. So I call loss prevention at extension 4202 and their voicemail is not set up. Then I get hung up on. Their corporate office doesnt seem to have anyone to answer. Ive printed all my bank statements showing the day I spent 231.93 cents and as well as a history up to yesterday of no sign of a refund. I contacted my bank and even they said they couldnt find a record of a toys r us refund. I guess Ill be having to go legal at this point if nobody responds to me by the end of business day today.

PLEASE update the store hours for the Brandon Toys-r-Us location on this site. This location is Temporarily Closed for Remodeling. They will not be opening back up until October, 22, 2016. Wish I knew this ahead of time (I drove 30 minutes to get to this store, just to find out it was closed.) I even checked this stores hours on line before taking this long drive. It said it was open...Ugh!

Its a nice clean store and going in I was a little sad at the thought of it closing, nostalgia and all, but I ended up leaving with one item and thinking maybe its a retail dinosaur thats ready to go extinct. Honestly its easier and cheaper to shop online these days.

It was a good store.. but it is now boarded up and empty. not sure if they renovating or gone for good. blah.

Going out of business, had a giftcard we had to use. Bought apples to apples even with the going out of bussiness discount it was still more expensive than the same item at Target.Hmmm. Going out of bussiness you say....wonder why.

Once again, this toys r us location disappoints our customer experience. The lack of not having the product is very dissappointing. You have strollers but dont carry the travel bags for them. Tjat doesnt make any sense at all. This is the last straw for this company.. we will be going to target and they will receive our business NOT toys r us. Lost my familys business.

Went to buy a couple of tablets and could not get any help. Even went to front desk and they acted like they didnt want to be bothered. Walked out empty handed but saved a couple of hundred dollars.

This is a newer store. It is clean and easy to navigate with wide isles.

So expensive. I know it is hard to keep pace with amazon... however; even with 40% off (and ignoring the non negotiable floor/assembly fee - real shite on you guys part) your prices were still higher than online. And I am not talking name brand vs some knock off type.. I am talking every item my wife and I coule find we found somewhere cheaper online - Apples to Apples (I am looking at you Nerf guns and anything Hasbro). Out with the old and in with the new I guess.

The store recently re-opened after a renovation and man, customer service has gone down the toilet. I shop for rare Skylanders and most places have no problem checking boxes in top stock for me... Until yesterday. They told me going forward you will not be allowed to ask an associate to check toptstock as per new policies for renovated stores. In other words they would rather lose a customer then take an extra 10 minutes of their time to help. I was very disgusted how this was handled and was even ganged up on by multiple associates as if threatening me not to ask again in the future. Thank you for ruining my experience there, I will never shop at your store again and plan on taking every associates names to corporate and filing an official complaint in the morning. Seriously, a few minutes of help goes a long way and they made it threateningly clear that they will not provide satisfactory customers service, not even close to it. I may even take this to the media because Ive seen numerous customers walk out from this store pissed on several occasions. If you cant provide customer service then get a different profession.

I went here to take my son on a mommy and son date day.... and it was great! He had a blaast and the lady helping me was so informative! I also got a christmas gift for him and asked her to hide it she was so sweet and hurried and ducked under the counter and wrapped it in a non see through bag! I am very well pleased with the help i recieved and the fun we had together! There are legos the kids can play with and interactive things throughout the store and also an awesome lego figure in which he took a pic with haha! Just very happy with my experience ALSO the store layout very simple and easy to make your way through and figure it out🤗

Much nicer with the renovation but this is the second time that Ive gone there to pick out a larger item, to pick up the ticket, wait in line, and then be told its out of stock. Waste of time with three kids in tow,no thanks not again.

This was probably the last time I would shop at any Toys R Us store, this one in Brandon, Florida, as the famous toy store chain is in the last lap of its closure clearance sale. As an avid die-cast car collector, I was able to purchase five high-end French made Majorette die cast cars in better than average blister packs for 40% off, $2.09 a car. All of the Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Green Light and Johnny Lightning cars had already sold out as the sale started in March 2018 and its now June. Lots of girls toys and little kids toys left at 50% off like Shopkins play sets, Disneys Num-Nums and Mattel Star Wars dolls. Also a few higher end toys like a BB8 radio controlled mini robot, originally $100 now 50% off, or even a bigger one originally $150 now $89.90. Lots of other items left too like better bikes, television character play sets- Teen Titans, Ben 10, other anime even some Disney character sets including Incredibles2 merchandise. Most are 50% off. Get em while theyre still available Brandon/Tampa area toy shoppers! So sad, Walmart toy department will never be as well stocked or fun as The worlds biggest toy store. So long Geoffrey, sob.

I called to find out if the item I ordered was still at the store. The entire call would have required about 77 seconds of someones time. I was on hold for 20+ min only to find out that they could not look it up under the invoice number I had. They needed the order number. That is ridiculous, an invoice number should be far more useful for tracking.This also begs the question, is toysrus doing so well that they are too busy to take phone calls?Either way they really need to just upgrade to an online reference system. That way I could have just looked up the answer myself.

This review is a response to all other reviews on this store. Even know the store may be disorginzed it is only because kids and parents are constantily pick toys up and put them back in places they dont belong, it is a never ending battle to keep the store clean. As far as pricing goes there are price scanners throughout the store that can be used at anytime, you can locate them by asking a team member or by looking up at the celing for the sign that says price scanner. As far as arguments over pricing with cashiers and cupons it all chalks up to if the customer acctually pays attention to weather the item in question is acctually the one on sale, please read the fine print on the signs they will clearly display which items are on sale and if you have a question that you cant find the answer to dont hesitate to ask a team member they are there to help you. Unfortunetly the register system isnt perfect but they do the best they can. Also for price matching you have to have the physical sale paper, they need it for thier record books, it also has to be a current sale and the exact same item.

Don’t buy at Toys r us, they are literally cheating people with more prices compare to other stores like Walmart, Target, and more they are charging 100 % more than other stores, And never go for discount sales they are doubling the price and selling for more prices, before you go to Toys r us check prices online you will get it for half of the discounted prices at Walmart or target.
