Our first time trying this place out and i can say we loved it!!!!My hysband had the penne vodka and i had spaghetti and meatballs, and they were both great. My husband said its the best penne vodka he had in a while!, we also ordered the calamari which was so fresh and perfectly cooked.! Next time i can just order calamari as my meal and id be satisfied!! Great service and food was brought out in good time will be back for sure. Price was reasonable as well it was under $80 for 3 of us. My husband, our son and I.
We had early dinner there tonight - must say we had a fantastic meal and will definitely go again. Everything, from the mussels appetizer, to the salads, to the entrees was beautifully prepared and utterly delicious. Our waiter, Michael, was so much fun, and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. A valuable asset to the restaurant. A gem in Brandon.
Excellent as always. Allegrias food is made with fresh, wholesome ingredients, carefully selected to be the best quality, and everything is delicious. Portions are generous and very reasonably priced. This is a family-owned and run restaurant and you are treated like family when you dine. The servers are professionals. You will get the same or better level of service as at any of the finest restaurants in town.

Here, your treated like you are part of the family, Vito is just awesome and works hard to make sure his place is there to serve you and your family/guests/friends some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. We got the Spaghetti 🍝 and Meatballs, and a Meatball Sub, Everything was seasoned perfectly! They have impressive desert items too. It helps if you call ahead for a reservation since they were packed!- The staff was very professional and courteous.- The food was absolutely delicious!- The only minor deficiency was the lengthy amount of time to be served our food. However, we do understand that all restaurants have difficulty hiring enough people to work the busiest shifts. So, we overlook this issue.- Overall, a wonderful experience!
This was delicious, my whole table enjoyed their meal and the appetizer was delicious. We order the sampler for 4 and devoured the fried cheese! Then my sister and I shared the fettuccine Giovanni and it was so yummy. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna and said he enjoyed. Overall great service and accommodating. Will be back!
We stumbled across this place on the way from my doctors. Absolutely fantastic authentic Italian food. So good we went back the following week. We will be back so many things on the menu we want to try! The cappuccino was such a treat! Service was fantastic too! We had Veal scallopini and shrimp scampi wonderful!!

A true gem! We have been going there since it first opened and have never had a bad meal. Food is excellent! Always friendly and responsive service. Prices very reasonable. Love to go all the time but especially for birthday’s and special occasions. Highly recommend to anyone who likes good Italian food.

Absolutely fantastic food. I have many years in the industry and I am often critiquing things. Everything was on point. Linguine vongole was loaded with clams, both whole and chopped. The veal parm was tender enough to cut with a fork. We will definitely be back
Enjoyed dinner with family on Friday evening.We made reservations as the place did fill up quickly.We all enjoyed delicious pasta dinners & we were able to relax with drinks & did not feel rushed. Nancy was terrific and helpful with menu selection and her service was spot on, even as she had many other tables to attend.Would definetly recommend this restaurant to others.

Truly a hidden gem, Allegria Italian was fresh, hot, accurate and features good service. We visited on a weekend without a reservation. They were very busy with large tables but were able to squeeze us in. We had house wine and bread while looking at the menu. Its full of fairly standard items, no big surprises, but still full of fresh ingredients. We had a gnocchi dish and a fried pork cutlet, both were accurate and hot. One nice thing is that as they cook everything fresh to order, its easy to make changes to an item. We added shrimp in the fradiavolo sauce to the gnocchi. We had a discrepancy on the bill but they corrected it and overall we will be back. This spot is good for couples and date nights. They did have a kids menu too. The staff and service were friendly and competent. We will be back when we want good Italian and want to keep our money in the community. Support local businesses!

We have been to Allegria Italiana two times. The first time was about 6 weeks ago, and we were very happy with the service and the quality of the food. The price was also very reasonable.Based on this first impression, I decided to come back for Mothers Day with my wife, my 2 daughters, and grandchildren. Again, they were able to accommodate our last minute request for a reservation. Again, the service and the attentiveness of the waiter was top-notch, but the groups overall experience with the food was less than desireable. Here was, in my opinion, what went wrong: the choice of food was limited to a few dishes off a newly-printed menu titled Mothers Day Special. We all ordered different dishes, but not one of us in the group was satisfied, at least not entirely, with the limited food choices offered that day. Also, the bill amount had little indication that these were special prices.We are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this, hopefully one-time only, poor choice of dishes offered on such special occasion as Mothers Day. We will definitely come back again in the hope of being allowed to order from their regular menu. Hopefully, we will be again impressed by the delicious food we had the first time.
Very delicious loved the wild caught gulf shrimp in my pasta the red sauce was excellent it tasted very bright and had just enough spice . Bread is always good and was great to soak up that delicious marinara. 😋 Really cant think how that dish could be improved because it was so yummy Shrimp Fram Diablo .

We had ordered online from Allegria previously and it was the best spaghetti and meatballs my husband ever had. Went to the actual restaurant early on Saturday. My husband had been working in the sun all day and was dehydrated and starved. Michael immediately took care of us making sure he had plenty of water and his recommendations were perfect. In an hour my husband was laughing and enjoying an amazing appetizer platter, the famous spaghetti and meatballs and a delicious tiramisu. The whole crew (including the chef) made sure we were not only well fed but happy. Highly recommend and in the future we will make reservations on Friday or Saturday. Small but cozy.
Overall wouldnt recommend. The food was okay at best. Wasnt terrible but considering the main dishes all start off at at least 20 dollars, definitely not worth the money. Spaghetti that came with the chicken parmesan tasted like it was out of a can. Got a bruschetta appetizer and the bread was completely soggy, couldnt even hold it up. The chocolate mousse cake was room temperature, which doesnt lend to flavorful eating. For the prices they charge, definitely go elsewhere. Staff was also not very friendly. Came in and nobody greeted me for a minute then someone finally came up to say What do you want? Overall bad experience and wont be returning. Go to Olivia in Tampa instead if you want good Italian food for the prices they charge.UPDATEYou can clearly see from their response they are unprofessional and rude, exactly as how I described from my previous review. Clearly a you know what as a business owner? How unprofessional and frankly childish. They say my review was malicious and yet they attacked me right away for reviewing a restaurant. Couldnt even respond to the actual REVIEW of the food, just personal attacks of a paying customer (who will never pay again). Someone who clearly cannot take any sort of criticism really shouldnt be running their own business and I appreciate them confirming my negative review and will gladly be taking my business elsewhere from here on out. Again, super expensive food that tastes like 5 dollar take out. Go somewhere else if you want to spend your money.
I was visiting with my family and grand kids . They have been here before and raved about it. I am from Ocala and so so glad they took me here . First, best to call and make reservations. We walked up and had to wait outside.Bread was good but did not come til midway through the meal. We had eggplant and chicken parmisian. Both dishes were excellent. Sauce was like my Italian grandmother made....the best.The only thing that left blemish with me was the owner. He walked around engaging every table while people were eating. He also verbally abused one of the servers and the girl buying tables. Service is very good. I would suggest a reservation if you can as this spot is a local favourite. Dont let the outside fool you as it is set in an ordinary strip mall but the inside is cozy and welcoming. Prices are average for food that is scratch made. I would suggest a pass on the desserts as NONE are made in house anymore and are just your usual frozen from a box fare. One suggestion to the owners would be to add chicken to the menu, it is VERY limited it you would like chicken. Perhaps a chicken dish from the valentines menu would be a good idea

Other than getting dusted by bread flakes and crumbs falling from my menu as I opened it... my meal was fantastic! Very authentic, like it was made by my grandmother. Pasta has the perfect bite and the pasta fagioli was a great way to start off.
I consider this place my secret spot because the food and service is so good I dont want to share it with anyone but the people who Ive shown absolutely love this place as much as I do I will always tell someone to check this place out

Im not sure what to think. Our first meal a few years ago was delicious. Told everyone how good it was. Stuck to popular pasta dishes. The meatballs as a side were great. Same with desserts being good. We brought our visiting family back and that was also delicious (pre covid). Ordered to-go during covid couple times and was also good. The visiting family member came back and wanted to go there again. Still... always carbonara or penne vodka, gnocchi types of dishes.Yesterday, Aug 19th picked up some food to go and it was mostly NOT good. The clam white sauce was flavorless and watery. The calamari tasted floury. Carbonara was super thick. Will give benefit of doubt that this was a bad night perhaps. An explanation would be helpful if there is one though. Im hesitant now that something had changed or else I need to just stick to the creamy dishes.

It was a cute little place. The food was excellent! It is made to order so you might have to wait. But it is worth it trust me.The Gnocchi were little pillows of potato goodness. The sauce was tasty even by itself. My Husband got the riggatoni with beef ragout, it was excellent also.The lemoncello cake was wonderful.The amaretto cake was just as luscious.The canoli was a crispy creamy dream.We will definitely be going back.
This restaurant was it a real disappointment.Ordered food online, and waited to head over the time stated on the phone, about 40 minutes. However, when we got there, they had canceled the order because they just decided they did not want to do takeout anymore that night.Of course, they could’ve told us that 40 minutes earlier when the order was placed. Regardless, these things can happen. What makes me give this place such a poor review and make me want to actively dissuade people from spending their money there if it’s the last thing I do, is the behavior of the people in the restaurant when I got there.There was no apology, in fact there was a pompous attitude by the man behind the bar surprised that we would even think about ordering takeout and not eating in. Never mind there’s a pandemic going on, this guy just had an attitude.I would say fire the guy, but I think he’s either either the owner or the manager. He seemed like he was in charge that night.Regardless, people make their choices and this guy made his.Do not order from this place, you’ll regret it in all likelihood.

YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!!!We came for my granddaughters birthday and were overwhelmed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food is wonderful and the service is outstanding. It is probably some of the best Italian food weve ever had.We started with the Barratt... perfect and a must have. Our entries were Fettuccine Alla Giovanna, Lobster Special and tge children split a Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp.... everything was absolutely delicious. For dessert we ordered Italian Ricotta Cheese Cake (still warm and it just melts in your mouth, very creamy and smooth...perfection on a plate), Amaretto Mascarpone Torte, and a Chocolate Mousse Cake which is the best weve ever had, a perfect blend of chocolates. They brought out a slice of rainbow cake and sang for the birthday girl. We met the owner and he is just wonderful!Our server was Mike and he made sure we had a wonderful experience.We will be back!
Gave this place a 5 star because it’s the only Italian restaurant we go to when we are craving Italian food. The appetizers are all great. For the entrees, My husband always gets the chicken Parmesan and I always get the chicken fettuccini Alfredo with mushrooms. I also get the Caesar salad.. sooo good. Those two entrees, though, are perfect! Wouldn’t eat it anywhere else. I also love their service and atmosphere!
My wife & I planned a date night for some Italian food so we decided to give it a try. The food was fantastic & the service was great. The Calamaretti Fritti was just a touch over cooked but the marinara sauce was so good that it did not matter. My wife had the Fettuccine Giovanna & she substituted mushrooms for the the chicken. She absolutely loved it. I had the Veal Valdostana & oh man was it good. It was so rich that I couldnt even come close to finishing it. We will definitely be back again when we are in the mood for Italian food.

Great food. Cute little restaurant. Truly a hidden gem. Friendly staff. Penna a la vodka is delicious. The pasta is perfectly cooked. The stuffed mushrooms are stuffed with ricotta and tossed in what tastes like marsala wine. Also delicious.

I love this place. It’s so good!!! We’ve dined in and taken out several times and have never been disappointed. The staff are so attentive but don’t hover. Food is outstanding. It’s my go to restaurant.

Excellent food, excellent service, good ambience. The one recommended would be curb appeal. It looks a tad run down out front. When we first pulled in, we debated for a minute because we could not see the inside, and is was dead outside. We decided to enter and give it a go regardless and we are glad we did! Excellent date night.
Great atmosphere, great service, and without a doubt some of the best Italian food in Tampa. Try the Lemonchello dessert. Very generous portions of house wines. Well worth the visit.

The sauce literally covered the Spaghetti..NOT Runny and dripping down to the plate giving me pink Spaghetti ... The food has been amazing the two times that I have dined in the restaurant. I called today to order carryout. I see on the menu that they offer a veal piccata. I dont care for veal so I asked if they could make it with chicken instead. All of the other chicken dishes are at least $5 cheaper than the veal dishes, and understandably so. The cost of veal is much more expensive than chicken. For example, the chicken parmesan is $23.95, while the veal parmesan is $28.95. They were going to charge me $29 for chicken piccata when Im replacing the more expensive protein with a cheaper one. Thats not how you do business. Im disappointed because the food is really good, but when you dont want to treat the customer fairly and you want to rip them off, you lose my business.

Delicious SuccessUpon going into this restaurant and eating their food, I can easily say this restaurant is tops in Brandon for Italian food. From the sauce to the environment, this family establishment has something that is lacking in Brandon, some originality and an owners touch. I strongly recommend trying this restaurant out. Last minute decision to come here and we’re so thankful that we did. The customer service was outstanding and the owner was so pleased to see people coming in and enjoying their time. We told our server what we were looking for in a wine and she recommended the perfect one. The appetizer and entree’s were brought out quickly and spaced perfectly. Everything tasted incredible and well worth the price! The server and owner went above and beyond to give us a free dessert as well as recommending to take our scrapes home to our pup! We decided to try this local Italian cafe for Saturday night dinner. For dinner we started with appetizer Bruschetta Toscana, and for dinner we ordered Fettuccine Alla Giovanna which is a vegetable pasta and Shrimp Scampi pasta.Bruschetta Toscana: It was okay. Actually we didnt like the sauce which it had. Otherwise it was okay. 3/5Fettuccine Alla Giovanna: The vegetable pasta was okay and we believe that it was missing the correct amount of spices. 3/5Shrimp Scampi Pasta: Shrimp scampi pasta was also okay. 3/5We will give this restaurant try some other time again.
Look when you order a seafood dish it should be a bed of linguine seafood on top with enough sauce to cover the top of your linguine not drown the seafood where you cant see nothing but sauce it looked like soup and Ive tasted better sauce from a jar not happy
