Great place to bid on worthless classic cars with blown-up engines that have been taken great care of and well loved. They are also allergic to returning phone calls and emails. Avoid at all costs.

Very high online buyers premium for the little service they do offer. Also suspect they bid up all the auctions themselves to get the highest price. The same couple of users are always bidding on the listings through proxibid. Suspicious. Many other more reputable and more reasonable auction houses out there to use instead of these guys.

First I will summarize the issues I encountered, then conclude with a summary.Youll notice their website only lists the good things about their car and omit any and all issues the car has. As far as I can tell this is intentional. They refuse to disclose anything they know about any defects. When I called the company to get additional details about the condition of the car I was interested in, their representative described it asfrom the private collection of the owner of an automotive dealership. It is the pride of their museum and the last car they are letting go.After the auction, I managed to talk with the seller. He worked in finance at a dealership. The car was his fathers. His father never owned a dealership. It has never been in a museum. This is materialistically different. The owner of a dealership has access to funds, personnel, and facilities that allow for a private collection to be kept far better than a guy working in the finance department. I made requests for an explanation for why I was told one thing when the truth was another, I was ignored. The car was described as drivable. It was not. The fuel pump had failed and was leaking fuel. The brake calipers were seized and needed to be replaced. This not only endangered me but also the transportation team and shipping of the vehicle. The car was described as being the original color. It is not and has been repainted at least 2 different colors previously. There is a lot of overspray that will need to be addressed. After purchase, they lost the title. They sent it to someone else. While they have said it is on its way to me, I still have not received it.Lucky Old Car Auction (aka Cosmopolitan Motors) and Evan, the owner, present themselves as a classic car auction company. Do not let this fool you. While I am sure there are some good finds, they do not honestly represent the vehicles they offer for sale. All should be purchased with the same buyer-beware perspective you would take if purchasing from an impound or police auction. I wish I had found reviews on them prior to my experience, but as they work under different DBAs, it wasn’t something I managed to find until afterward. Nothing is verified and anything they tell you should be considered dubious. If you can and your state allows, record any and all communication (emails, phone calls, text messages, etc) as there is a good chance you will need them later.

RUDE!!! Very unprofessional. Do not go to them. They are consignment guys they take your cars, sit on them until you get desperate. And do what they say. They rush you to sign paperwork. Evan the owner.! Is very rude as well. They act nice up until you sign your cars over then. Hes rude and doesnt respond to you. Makes up lies so he doesnt have to give a receipt. Says that it is going to be brought with the guys when they pick up your cars. Then when they get there you ask them. And they say they have no idea what you are talking about. You call the office AGAIN! Evan answers. And he says it is going to be emailed. No email. So you pester and pester and pester at them until they make it seem like you are the problem. DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKED PEOPLE.! Oh and he started yelling at my fiance right upfront of my 10month old baby. Saying that my fiance was lying about the fact that we had in writing we DID put a Reserve on our car. And get a call that night because we had it in writing he called and apologized. While still being rude as one can be.
