We often eat here for brunch or dinner. Cool little retro dinner decor and music. The food is good and the service friendly. I love the caramel coke and my husband loves their malt milkshakes and the phosphates soda. Definitely recommend the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Man what is there not to like about this establishment. Food is great and customer service is very friendly. Will definitely be coming back. Not too exp expensive either.
We love dropping in here to eat. The atmosphere evokes comfort and good food. They never disappoint! I dont know our servers name, but he has worked there for many years. It was nice to see his friendly face.
Cozy, local diner that offers breakfast staples at a decent price. Our party of vegetarians were able to find a few options on the menu. Expect omelets, fried eggs, hashbrowns, benedicts, and toast. The coffee was the worst part; it tasted stale and not of good quality. The service was pretty good considering the amount of people there.

Hidden gem. Do NOT miss the shakes, real ice cream..perfection. husband loved the 3 alarm burger, my French dip was good and EXCELLENT onion rings. Love the 50s diner feel and music! Well be back!

We go here on occasion and have always had great food great service. My husband had a Patty Melt and it was exactly that. Melty with cheese just as it should be. French fries look as though they are hand cut. Great atmosphere, decor is from the 50s. Want a GREAT old fashioned the way it should be shake or malt. This is the place for you.

This was our first visit here and we were impressed. I had the Spam LT with Clam Chowder and my wife had the Patty Melt with onion rings. We both really enjoyed the food along with the Old Style Atmosphere. Our server was Catie who provided excellent service.We will eat there again and you should definitely try the place if you have the chance.

Always AMAZING food!About a 30 minute wait time but we had a party of 9 and our food was ready within 15 minutes of ordering. Such an amazing meal with family and my Grammy enjoyed the oldies music playing in the background.
Considering our current situation w this covid thing, the place is a GREAT place to eat! The staff is friendly and the portions and prices are very good!! Weve been there many times and never been disappointed. Will definitely be coming back every chance we get!

Okay. Old fashion dinner. And it is bomb. The burgers are big huge even. 1/2 to a full pound burgers good just right with qauilty meat. There chicken noodle soup made fresh. Almost better then your momma soup. Coke is real classic style glass and its nice and crisp. My wife and i dont make it out here often its way cross town from us. But when we are in the area this place is one of our top stops.. Look this is a stop be made, ive never regretted making a special trip just to eat.
The service was amazing, my server was super friendly, and incredibly attentive, as was all of the staff I encountered. I was made to feel welcomed the entire time I was there.The food on the other hand left a lot to be desired.I ordered a soup and half sandwich, the sandwich was acceptable, but the broccoli soup was horrifically inedible. It smelled and tasted like veggies that sat too long in the drawer in the bottom of the fridge, and my husbands Monte Cristo was strangely soggy.I have been eating there for years, and the food is usually amazing, especially the fish and chips, (I just wasnt wanting greasy food) so I hope this is a one-off.

Big Apple diner is a comfortable and fun place to eat. And they have good food and friendly and prompt service. It is styled after a 50s diner; they also have good milk shakes.
Good old school diner feel with good service and good food.
Kitchen got backed up and we had to wait a ridiculously long time which is not ideal when you have a hungry toddler but when the food did come it was soooooo good. I had trout and eggs, daughter had teddy bear pancake with a side of scrambled eggs and my mum had a garden croissant. Overall delicious and I will go back.

I loved the diner feel to the place, it was like falling back in time a little. Polished crome on the booths and tables with cool 50s music in the background. The service was excellent and was seated right away. Friendly staff, with hot coffee post haste. I had the biscuits and gravy with red potato hash and eggs. The sausage gravy was excellent. Eggs were hot to the table. Overall a very good experience. I will be back
Great comfort food diner. Everything was excellent. I loved the homemade Corned Beef Hash. The server was professional, courteous, and attentive the entire visit. Would definitely return next time we come to Bremerton.
The customer service is always AMAZING here, they set the bar ... everything on the menu is so good by far hands down the best restaurant on this side of the water (and arguably in the entire PNW) ... whether you are craving something hot, cold, sweet or savory The Big Apple Diner has it all to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters (not to mention they are willing to modify their orders to suit individuals preferences). I could rant and rave about this place but stop reading my review and go experience it yourself right now.

The service was amazing! I ordered a meal that came with a baked potato. The potato was so small even the waitress made a comment. When I said something she immediately went to the Cook put swing to her that thats all they had was small potatoes and they gave me a second potato. I certainly wasnt expecting that. I feel like that was above and beyond. My meal was great. I will definitely go back there next time Im in this neck of the woods.

Ive never seen my children eat so much so fast anywhere else. 100% of the time, my daughter requests the teddy bear pancake, breakfast lunch and dinner and is always excited to see it when it arrives to the table. My son can be picky from time to time but is never disappointed when he chooses something different from the menu. We celebrate our birthdays here and have done so for generations. This restraunt is one of the first we take our friend and family to when they come into town to visit. We will continue to come here again and again so long as the business continues

One of our all-time favorite places! When we are in the area, we drive out of our way to go to Big Apple Diner. Its an authentic old-fashioned diner experience and menu...which has anything you could possibly think of. And employees are quick and friendly.

I really loved the music American Songbook atmosphere, it reminded me of a restaurant I worked at ages ago. It was a busy weekend night, the staff and the kitchen were smoothly efficient, everything we ordered tasted great. Thanks to the kitchen and staff for a great meal.
Used to eat here all the time before moving away a few years ago. Came back for breakfast and am so pleased they havent changed a bit. This is the best breakfast available on the Kitsap Peninsula. Absolutely love the chicken fried steak and eggs, but the German Pancakes are the stuff of legend.As we are still fighting the COVID pandemic, they have implemented distancing which is honestly some of the best execution I have seen. Masks are required except at the table. Tables are generously spaced with partitions between booths. The sanitation procedures are great and strike a balance between having a bit of normal eat out capability while keeping the area controlled so as to prevent the chance of transmission of the virus. Kudos to the staff for a great job!

Cute and Kitschy old fashioned diner Good food, decent portions but menu is definitely filled with artery hardener dishes. Breakfast is always filling and good which makes it busy before 11am.Staff is always friendly and place is clean. Average bill for 2 runs $38 with tax.
Test for sit downs, quiet enough atmosphere to have a pleasant chat over breakfast it lunch. Never had any problems with their food, serving size is always generous and service is quick. Still quite active during corona, only problem youll have is fighting the regulars for a seat.

They are currently offering in person dining again, but if youre not up for that you can order from them for delivery.They wipe down the tables chairs and all, every time someone gets up and leaves. They also have the tables spaced out more, the typical bar spaces not currently available, and they are having people wait outside.Now for the bit of the review that I probably wont need to edit.This Diner has that classic 50s style and feel, with the mid-century modern metal tables and bright colors. They offer a typical Diner menu with handmade pies and milkshakes.I highly recommend the Caramel Coke and any of the dinner specials as they come along through the week.

Very 50s retro feel. Reminds me of the show Happy Days. Best seats are at the bar! We love the crepes with peaches and cream. Fresh squeezed orange juice. And the shakes and desserts are amazing. Best food is breakfast and lunch.
My favorite diner in the area. The service is always so friendly and courteous, being attentive to every one. The selection for food is excellent, but I recommend their breakfast menu because the choices are plentiful, each being unique. The time from ordering to food being on the table seems to just fly by. Delicious dishes and wonderful service with a warm, friendly and nostalgic atmosphere. Excellent breakfast spot, even on the rainiest of days.

Waitress was friendly. 50% capacity and for so few people it took a long time for order to finally be taken. My husbands toast was burnt and when we ask for more toast it also came burnt and I asked if they needed a new toaster the waitress answered yes. I am hoping that when things go back to normal the Red Apple Diner will once again be as wonderful as it used to be.
Came in late, thought we would have to leave. Instead owner said grill was still hot and have a seat. Good food!

Good friendly staff. Diner motif is a joy. Breakfasts were good and servings were ample. Breakfast meals are a bit pricey. In general, a good place that we ate at several occasions while visiting the area.
