We were excited to find that they have the wood we have been looking for, and they seem to have a great selection of stuff in the store for just about any project. We were quite surprised, however, by the attitude from the people behind the counter. Very unprofessional towards us. Then as I was walking around the store, I overheard one calling a customer a**hole after the customer was put on hold. I work in a customer service role myself, I know it can get challenging, people can be difficult. However, that frustration, irritation, bad attitude shouldnt be reflected out there for everyone to witness. We were not rude to anyone, as I stated, we were happy to find what we were looking for. Perhaps the clerk was having a bad day. Either way, not professional!

Huge fan of Kitsap Lumber! The staff is always helpful and friendly (it always helps when youre nice to the staff, too, by the way!). 9 times out of 10 they have exactly what I need and save me a trip across town to Lowes. One of few local businesses that has strictly adhered to COVID protocols without fail the past year and I absolutely applaud them for that. Thanks for being such a reliable business in our community!!

I paid for 15 pieces of 1*8 16ft pieces of lumber and nd the only had 6 left in stock. So they ordered them in I picked up the six today that I bought them and they marked it down wrong and marked it that I picked up nine instead of six now they have three on the shelf after I picked up my order they are saying that they are theirs and they are clearly mine because they had to oder them in. Im calling my credit card next. I cant believe anyone runs a business like this. Its very easily fixed if you look at your stock. Should have ordered them at home depot

Unable to shop there. I am medically unable to ware mask. Would not let me shop or offer to shop for me. I only needed one item off the shelf. Very unprofessional!

Great selection of the little stuff for painting, drywall, plumbing and electrical. Friendly, down to earth staff. You wont find tons of appliances like the big box stores, but you will find good prices on the little things you need.

So scared of covid they dont help the customer.This was the second time I have been in this week to get stove parts. And what you have done in the name of covid-19 is disturbing. Not only are you no longer taking cash but also checks. This is discriminatory towards the poor and elderly. As both those groups predominantly use cash. You are running all transactions as credit, which means your casher hands me a dirty pen to sign a dirty piece of paper on a dirty clipboard. When we asked for help she stood 20 feet away. So we could not hear understand what she was saying. Rather the actual help she allowed is to open the boxes on the dirty floor and assemble the stove pipe. There are a great many things in this world to fear. A virus with a 99.9% survival rate is not one of them. After the first trip If any other woodstove store had been open, I would have gone to theminstead. I have been shopping at Kitsap lumber all my adult life. I will not support such blatant class discrimination and propagation of fear thats not necessary. Your welcome for the almost $300 in sales.

This is my go to place for supplies. They have an extensive selection of tools, parts and materials so I never walk out without the supplies I need. The employees are all helpful and knowledgeable about the stuff they carry. Right now I really love their hardwood section.

This organization has helped in our community for decades - this is what its like for small businesses - they support the community in ways that we may not be able to see. For instance, Kitsap Lumber blessed the West Hills S.T.E.M. academy with enough lumber to build a bunch of raised beds that will benefit the children of the academy as well as Meals On Wheels Kitsap through the efforts of Seeds of Grace. We couldnt get a donation from the big box stores - likely because they are not nearly as invested in our community. Customer service is always excellent!

This is a great place! I like to support locally owned small businesses whenever I can. Shure the prices may be a little higher (maybe 5-10%) on some stuff, but to me its worth it because here you will find helpful staff who provide excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere.

Kitsap Lumber had a good sales staff and often serves as a one stop shop for the materials we need to keep us moving or to rescue us from a bad day at work.Im not sure how some of the reviews came in low, but all of my experiences here have been pretty good. People that want crooked lumber are free to shop at the big box stores, but, if you want good lumber, you know to go to a place that has the word lumber in their name.

Had to get unusually sized lumber for a shed Im building and had a great experience with these guys. I called them to see if they could accommodate what I needed and they said that they would call me back after they talked to their supplier, which I was very wary of. Turns out I had nothing to worry about because they called me back in about 2-3 hours with a price per board that was almost exactly what I was expecting. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone.

In and out in a jiffy. People werent very friendly but I just got what I needed and out I went.

After a terribly failed last date with Lowes, I finally broke it off completely. I made my way Kitsap Lumber and found not only the quality hardware, electrical fixtures, and specific Kumar I was looking for, I also found knowledgeable, personable customer service. The employee that helped me locate the lumbar even offered to cut them to size for me. Yeah, its gonna be you and me for now on Kitsap Lumber.

Very helpful, was able to select exactly what we needed...second visit first time she made me an extensive project price list. Shopping here was enjoyable.

We are remodeling a house in the area and used Kitsap Lumber for many purchases. Our contractor also bought items there for us. We attempted to return a box of screws that were purchased by our contractor after he had left and was done. First we were told that we had to have the receipt to get the money back. Several days later I returned with the receipt and spoke with the person I was told was the owner. He refused to refund the money, and refused to put it back on our contractors card as he is now out of state. After all of the business I gave this business I was VERY unhappy. I pointed out to him that I could and would do all of my shopping at LOWEs in the future since they allowed me to return ALL items with any receipt for credit, cash, or in store credit. The owners response was I suppose you can threaten me with that if you like. I have tried to do business with the local businessmen in Bremerton since I have moved here. In the future I will do business with those who have good return policies and also honor my service to our country in the military with a veterans discount!!!

I went to the hardware store today to buy some screws, lumber, and hinge hardware.. The lumber was higher priced by .75 a 2x4 then Home Depot, and the piano hinges where $5 more apiece. For cast iron pipes and flanges I found the pricing to be almost a 3rd higher as well. The 6D nails I bought from a bin turned out to be 14D (more expensive), and it was labeled wrong.. They carry no 6D.For the stuff I did buy I asked for a military discount and the lady at the register said no.. I can get better pricing and discount at a big box store then here...But hey the fireplace display looks awesome!

I buy cedar planks for raised beds here. The nails to put them together. The sealant for my foundation and barrels I grow potatoes in. The customer service cant be beat, and theyve got almost everything you need.
