I have had Ferrell Gas for 1 year now. It started out at $88.09 a month, then increased to $145 a month. Now its going up to $240 a month. I called them and asked them if I could purchase the tank off of them (the previous owners paid to lease it too for a long time) they told me I could not purchase it (even though they dont have that size tank anymore.) I was told last Thursday a manager would call me back. I got no call. I called again today... talked with a woman who also told me a manager would call me back. I specified that no one called me back last time. I was re assured that someone would call me back. Guess what? No return call. These people are ridiculous. Cant wait to buy my own tank and go through another company.
Propane refilled today and very nice person refilled it, came to the door and told me about the pilot lignt because it was so empty. I sure appreciated his advice. Had my son light it as soon as he got here.
The new phone system is horrible. There was a time we could talk to a local office. If you have to call customer service make sure you have lots of time and plenty of coffee. We lease our tanks, as soon as I can find my own to purchase we sure as heck wont use Ferrellgas.
I agree with HORRIBLE,. This is probably the worst customer service that I or anyone has every received. I contacted them well over a month ago to move my existing propane tank to a new location on my property. After making several promises to call to schedule the move for a month, now they are telling me they cant make the move this time of year. I have already dug 50-70 of ditch to the new location per their surveyors instructions, and now they will not make the move. I actually spoke to a supervisor that saw all the notes about my contacts over the last month and basically said too bad. I would have given them zero stars, but I had to use one star to take the post. Unbelievable!!Update: Okay, I will contact your customer service, but it was a supervisor I talked with. She made it very clear that she did not care that I had started the process over a month ago and that they would not move the tank this time of year. Barring snow, I have no idea what that means. I will be back with another update if I do not hear back soon.Update 11/10/20 Five days later and still no call from anyone.Update 11/20/20 It has now been over 2 weeks since my initial complaint. They asked to email their customer service which I did. No email, no phone call, No contact at all. The service was horrible, but to not even respond is beyond horrible. I would never use this company for anything and it will be a cold day in H*** before I order any propane from them regardless of price due to their actions.
Literally the worst. We are on auto-fill yet we ran out propane. Try to call to get someone out here, on hold for hours since you can not contact the local office directly (the local number forwards you to a national number). Several call and several conversations and a week later, we still dont have a fill, still no heat. Additionally, after each call, weve been told someone will contact us. Not once has this company returned a call. Avoid working with Ferrelgas unless you want to be jacked around and disappointed, they do not care youre a customer.
Nice place. Bought a 100lb tank a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I found out the dock closes at 4pm. For those not familiar as I wasnt, the dock is where propane is refilled. So the hours of operation listed are office hours. The nice lady in the office will handle the paperwork but no filling of tanks.
UPDATE #2: HORRIBLE company! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. I had a plumbing company come out to inspect our propane system from head-to-toe. They found NO leaks and their gauges didnt budge when they put their pressure test on our lines. ALL evidence points to Ferrellgas error. I was out of heat and cooking capability for 10 days and another $500 for the outside inspection. They dont seem interested in the slightest to compensate us for any of this inconvenience. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Simply HORRIBLE. After requesting a refill, the serviceman determined there was a leak in THEIR equipment that we are renting. We received no callback for over a day with a status and called their office for an update. They told us it would be 10 DAYS before we would have someone out to repair THEIR equipment. This left us with no stove, oven, heated water during the WINTER for 10 DAYS. I was connected to their scheduling agent to see if we could do anything, but the agent did not answer. We left a message and have had NO CALL BACK for 2 days. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. NO ONE should be forced to deal with this ESPECIALLY DURING THE WINTER. They have demonstrated NO interest in supporting their customer. They have shown NO interest in the concerns we’ve expressed repeatedly.
Went here to fill my RV . They were so helpful and nice . I got in and out very quick . The staff was very accommodating and professional. I do not know why low stars but they were awesome and reasonable
Pretty good so far... However the instal and first fill was faster than refills. So far it takes 8-10 days to receive a refill. I think this would be UNSAT for a professional company. I plan to keep using them and they have arrived as they schedule. I will just need to order well in advance and be prepared to give payment on the day of refill, but then wait for more than a week and a half later to receive the product.Again, just shocked that such a customer wait list for delivery would be acceptable no matter how busy your business. Such a business would have plenty of historical data to better plan ahead and support their customers.Again the product is good, just be prepared for slow delivery schedule for refill orders. This would be crucial for a home or business that solely relies on gas to heat your home or water.V/RST
Ferrell gas seems to be on top of keeping our tank full with automatic refills. I have never had to call for a refill. The girls in the office are helpful
Requested delivery, found out their rates are a dollar more than local companies. Cancelled fill request, but they filled the tanks anyways. Didnt even leave a receipt as required. Now I get to try and contact them and negotiate a better rate for the gas I didnt want in the first place. This was all after telling them I was switching companies. Crooks trying to strong arm people out of their hard earned money. Go with another company if possible!!!!!
Very competent people who are both professional and helpful with some of the lowest prices in the area whether delivering to the home or at their facility in Chico.
Poor customer service. Seems to be par for the course with propane companies. Cant give you a time of service. They told me they would call me back to let me know when their scheduler had a day for me. Not sure why that isnt readily available. Never heard back. Call them again. Same story except this time they said i have been scheduled for thursday. I work thursday....yeah....great business skills. Avoid.
The worst company I deal with. Run out of gas 2 times this year, came yesterday and charged me 2 different prices on 2 different tanks same truck. Much higher price on larger tank and unspecified fuel surcharge. Blamed computer error and end of fuel agreement with me. I have been ripped off by them for 27 years and now there is a fuel agreement that I know nothing about or was notified of its ending. They should be put out of business by consumer protection agency.
We bought a new home in October the previous owners had a leased tank from Ferrellgas, as part of our contract the tank was to be removed in October prior to taking possession of the home. The sellers, our agent and now us have tried to get ferrell to come get their tank. I have called 7 times since the middle of October always to be told ‘sorry’ and given a date for the tank to be removed but when that date comes it never happens. Their customer service and accountability is nonexistent. Our home is electric heated now we are going into winter it is costing us hundreds of dollars a month since we are not able to get our own tank which we purchased set up to heat our home with the propane stove which is our home’s main source of heat.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE, you will have nothing but problems. We aren’t even their paying customers and cannot get them to come pick up their tank for them to re-lease it to a paying customer.Our sellers just apologized, they regretted doing business with them as they had issues with ferrellgas the entire time they had the tank.
RUN AWAY!! Poorly run office that is dishonest about fees, and extra costs beyond the price of propane. Told there was nothing extra beyond cost of propane, yet when I received the bill (they were suppose to bill the credit card day of delivery, and screwed that up too) there was a Hazmat fee + another fee, with tax on top of it all. Sure looks like extra fees to me!! Over $40 in extra costs on a fill over 200 gallons.They have delivered other times, and nothing but administrative blunder after blunder. With the extra fees and office staff less than honest, or competent they are in reality the highest priced, and most difficult to deal with in Kitsap County. Since we own our tank I have found that pretty much any other company has been cheaper, and easier to deal with.
Although they were the lowest price per gallon in the area, they failed to deliver.Evidently the driver couldnt find the tank. Instead of calling me and getting further directions, the driver left. They never called to reschedule and get additional directions. Nothing. Oh, they did charge my credit card when I called and requested a delivery. So they got my money, but I didnt get any propane.Then when I called to find out if I was on the schedule, I was told that I was not. I asked if that is normal? If you dont deliver for some reason, you just drop it? I asked to be scheduled and they said they would need me to pay via a credit card prior to delivery. I explained that I had already been charged! After a bit of time with the representative on the phone, they said they would need to talk to the manager. So here I sit.
