Ive been there twice in the last year. The first time I swore Id never go back because the price was not as advertised and the quality was unacceptable. I gave them a second chance and nothing has changed. The quoted prices on CL with photos of quality cedar is not what you get. Bait and switch with higher price... Ill never go back!

The wood they offer is definitely cheap, and looks like it. They offer prices on online/Craigslist and told me that we an old price and they couldn’t honor it though the add was 4 days old. The guy was pretty rude and as I looked around the yard there was not much good wood around. I made the drive from Tacoma and was not worth it. If you are lookin for good deals on wood try Mill Outlet in Tacoma.

Sell Low grade as their premium, and what they call low grade, its what should be waste!They just put a few ok looking boads on top of the palet to make you think its premium.

Great service and prices are amazing!

After spending a thousand dollars, I went back in for some 2x10s red cedar. They only had 2 and proposed to sell me the 16 footer with 6 feet of it decaying almost an inch into the wood. I said I will buy the 10 foot section and not the rotted section. He checked with his boss and said I have to pay for it all rotten or not. These guy’s just lost a contractor and I hope others wake up to this and force this place to be thankful for having customers.

The clerk said he would help me after he was done with his first customer however another truck pulled up and he then helped them and not me. It was a group of probably contractors. I felt as though he didnt care to have my business. They do not have a big selection. They didnt have anymore pre-made fence panels. What they had was broken pieces of wood. I noticed a lot of the other wood they had was split.

Went to pick up some Cedar for a project, and had a pretty bad experience with the Lot/Helper kid. Not sure what his name is but, he was super disrespectful/rude and has zero customer service skills. Talked to a buddy who I sent there, and he had the same experience with the kid. Luckily TONY saved the day, Ive worked with him before on big orders and hes always great, and treats the customers with respect.

This is my go- to lumber yard for anything cedar and wood fence related. Premium quality and prices are low enough to make it worth it for me and my customers and I drive in from Pierce county.

Tried to buy a large order. Was told they don’t do orders for customers and what they have is what they have. ( they had basically nothing stock wise for building fences, maybe enough for one section.) Said they get a shipment in the mid month but didn’t know what they would get. The guy mumbled half the time, spit out numbers super fast and got testy when I asked him to repeat himself because I couldn’t understand him. Guess this place doesn’t like money because I was ready to spend 4k.

Like an old friend, they are there when you need them. I have only used this place 4 times over 12 years, but all orders were for major cedar projects; deck replacement, 300 LF of fence, etc. They are honest, local, and have a great product at great prices. Cedar products may be milled differently than your dimensional building lumber and I always measure the product so I know what I am buying and plan my project appropriately. I have moved 80 miles away from Bremerton since I first started buying from them, but I will make the trek whenever I need cedar.I have to say something about the yard hands because of other critical reviews. These guys work hard, load material properly, know where everything is in the yard and have even known pricing of any item I am looking for in the yard by memory. That is their job and they are all great at it. They are not going to great you like a Hotel Concierge in a 3-piece suit will because they are not a Hotel! This is a Lumber Yard.When you need cedar, do not hesitate and go straight to these guys.

Products are good and prices are good but they tend to close whenever they want. Called Friday 5/27/2016 to see what time theyd be open on Saturday, was told 2pm. Drove 40 minutes with my trailer to find the gate locked at 1pm. Guess Home Depot gets my money today.

The best materials and prices!

Needed 1 X 8 X 6 cedar. When I called the gentleman said that the had what I was looking for except they had 12 lengths but that they would cut them down for me. When I arrived the young man that attended me of which I was not impressed with due to his attitude, told me that they could them down if it was only 1 or 2 not the amount that I needed (25). I drove from Tacoma to Bremerton and didnt want to waste the trip. I had to settle for 8 foot lengths. I dont believe that they could not have cut the 12 lengths down for me. I even offered to pay extra but the young man wouldnt entertain my offer. The entire time that I was there this young man did nothing but stand around while all the other people were working in the hot sun. I dont think that I will ever buy from this store again. Not with this kind of service.

Lacking customer service, friendliness and consistent policies.I had lots of issues with this yard. The yard told me over the phone that they have free delivery for orders over $500. When I got there a very unfriendly guy actually charged me a delivery fee even though I had spent $525. He claimed that Port Orchard was a bit too far from their yard. They did work with me to deliver the wood late the next day when I was off work but the delivery guy was short one of my 4x4 posts. He didnt have any solutions so I had to call the owner myself to explain the issue. They did make the situation right and delivered the missing post the next day but in the process the delivery guy backed up my steep driveway and his trailer hitch took a giant bite out of my concrete driveway. Additionally when I placed my order they said I could return up to 10% of the wood. I returned just about 10% of the 1x6s a few weeks later and a different guy there said that they dont exchange low grade 1x6s (only high grade) but that they would make an exception for me just this one time. Again a different story from the other guy.The 2x4s I received were rough cut meaning not cut to standard 1.5x3.5 inches. My 2x4s were actually 1.75x3.5 and they did not fit into my fence brackets because they were cut too wide. This caused me to have to order new brackets that were not in any local hardware stores and twice as expensive. This also caused a week delay on building my fence. Getting non standard 2x4s may be a bonus for others but it cost me time and money.Overall while I love to support smaller companies over big box stores I feel this lumber yard was very unfriendly. I thought they tried to take advantage of me every time I was there. Lastly dont expect their online prices to be what you really pay for. They did make a few of my issues right after I complained and their wood is a good value overall if you dont mind dealing with the yard workers.

New owners charge top dollar for rotten wood they wouldnt let me pick through the pile when I got to my job site only half the wood was good the rest had termites all over it and rotten so bad I almost got sued and had to replace wood with new from a different supplier.
