There are simply so many photo opportunities in the front yard without having to go inside - they dont open and therefore no tour on weekends.Flowers, trees and grass all beautifully maintained and trimmed.I recommend in the trip to Brenham, plan on visiting other places and nearby cities.

Amazing! Had a fun time with the family. We saw the ice cream being packaged. Sadly we are not able to take photos. The tours are currently closed. The ice cream flavors to choose from at the parlor is some of the best and the employees working the parlor were friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a nice day trip this is the spot to go. Im looking forward to coming back.

Blue Bell is a great Texas company that sells a superior quality product. The observation area offers a fascinating view of four of the facilities production lines. You can see the single serve sizes, 3 gallon parlor sizes and two others generally from the viewing area. The museum is interesting and offers a interesting look into the companies long history. It is still a family owned company that is respected by its workers. Generous scoops are available for $1.00 in their parlor. Several flavors are “parlor only”. The cinnamon was really good.

We love Blue Bell Ice Cream so we had to stop! They have a visitor center that tells the history of Blue Bell and an observation deck where you can watch ice cream being made and packaged. The information person at the observation deck was gave a lot of interesting information about the company and the process. It sounds like a great company to work for! In the ice cream parlor you can get a good size scoop of ice cream for $1 and it was delicious! I highly recommend stopping by here if you are in the area.

Cute place, not much to do though. Observation deck is pretty small and was crowded when we went. We didnt see much because of how it is setup. Nobody explains anything to you. The ice cream parlor has some exclusive flavors not in stores type so that was nice. Pretty cheap to test them out. For 3 people we ordered 5 flavors and shared. Visitors center is full of pictures and historical facts. It is a nice place to visit if it is on your way, but i will personally not make the drive there as my destination.

The new flavor, Coconut Cream Pie, is out of this world delicious! The creamy filling is smooth and does not have that artificial coconut flavoring taste like so many other ice creams. The crisp chunks of crust, toasted coconut and yummy whipped cream swirled around are the perfect accompaniments. Thank you, Blue Bell, for sharing this wonderful summer treat. Please dont stop making this year round. We Highly recommend this ice cream!!!. And would give 20 stars if possible.

We drove 45 minutes each way to get there. If I would have known what it was going to be like, I probably wouldnt have. I was anticipating that it would take some time to walk around and see different things but there wasnt much to see other than a statue, an old ice cream truck and a few baseball artifacts. There was an observation deck and theyre set up to do tours, but both of those features were closed when we went. The facility and grounds are really nicely maintained and they sell $1 scoops, which was fun. People were there from all over the world, it seemed, so I guess its a destination spot. Bluebell ice cream is absolutely delicious, but I was underwhelmed by our visit.

We checked online and found that only the store was open. That was ok because that is what we were looking for. We drove several hours just to find them closed. No signs saying what their hours or days of operation were. Nothing on their website. All the reviews on Google stated they were open on Saturdays. Totally wrong. Complete waist of an 8 hour car ride! I was completely disappointed. There were SEVERAL other people there who were just as surprised.

Before the quarantine of 2020, I decided to celebrate my birthday by visiting the bluebell factory. It’s a short drive from Houston. I was probably one of the biggest kids there. But growing up on this stuff I just had to visit. It stays packed throughout the year as people come on tours and field trips. There’s honestly a lot to see. The best part is the sampling’s. They are very affordable and have some flavors that are exclusive to the shop.

Nice and cute ice cream factory, but don’t expect a big thing. The tour through the actual factory is super short, can’t see most of the things. But in my case it did compensate the fact that the floor where the ice cream is for sale is super nice, very well decorated, with walls that tells you about the history of Blue Bell. Also they had pretty much all the flavors the offer nationwide and the cashiers were very nice. They let us try all the kids wanted... which can be annoying and they really were super sweet. It’s a fun thing to do with kids.

We loved it, then again we enjoy eating Blue Bell Ice cream. One of the reason we made this stop was too observe how ice cream is made. Unfortunately, we learned upon arrival the the plant was undergoing maintenance and that the observation viewing area was closed and might be through next week. The second reason was to tour the visitor center and to learn about the companys history. We particularly liked watching the three well produced video on the company history and how Ive cream is made and distributed. Not sure kids would find this very interesting. Our final reason was to sample ice creamflavors we might not see in our grocery stores. For only a dollar, $1, we got three small scoops of dark cherry and pralines an cream. Enjoying these made our trip a success.

We noticed hats at $18.00, shirts at $18.00 and a Blue Bell Christmas ornament at $29.98. Theres two stories to the tour but an elevator is available as well as the stairs. The 2nd level allows an elevated view of the production floor but...no photos or videos allowed in that area. If you go once...youre done! Its one of those things that once you visit, theres no desire to go back. Its a process with very little changes to prompt a return.
