Being new in the area and not knowing quite what I was hungry for, I just randomly picked this place since it was rated at least 4 stars. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Great food, great service and great prices when you consider how big are the portions and how tasty the food was. Their menu is so extensive it may take you some time to decide what to order.
Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Ordered a Philly cheesestake recently with hardly any meat on it. When I politely asked the waitress to take it back she said no problem. The owner came over and I thought he was gonna apologize for the poor sandwich. He offered to put more meat on it after I ordered something else. I declined. He told me I still had to pay for the sandwich. When I refused, he said that he was calling the police!!! A verbal argument ensued, cops came and I didnt pay for the sandwich!! He lost a valuable customer for life!! I know now why its called galaxy diner cause the owner is from another galaxy!! This loser has always some negative response to give, his accusations are completely a lie!!! He started the argument, you dont argue with customers!!
Disgusting! Over priced. Not worth my time or money. Order shrimp for my daughter they gave us like 3 shrimps hard as a rock and smelled! Complained but they could care less!!
I got to sit and catch up with my Aunt. We had not see each other for a long time. The food was good i ate my whole dish. It was delicious. The waitress was attentive and we even go dessert. The price was reasonable and we got to sit and take as long as we wanted.
I am third generation coming to this establishment. My kids are the fourth generation. Need I say more…? Amazing food, friendly atmosphere, love that I know the servers and look forward to seeing them. It’s a family environment.
This dinner was good in my book, until a recent mistake was made on a simple soup order! Restaurants have to be careful with people’s food order. If you dont have it please tell your customers that you don’t have don’t Substitute with what you think you heard! Not okayYou knew i was taking it here!!!! And I didn’t ask for chicken and rice there’s a big difference!!! But your response tells me what kind of owner or manager you are!!!
Perfect! I woke up craving pancakes and a omelette so where else other than a diner? Galaxy served! Our server was so attentive and on point. My banana pancakes with fresh strawberries were prepped to perfection. And that omelette, right on the money. My toast was nice and crispy; not too much butter. The home fries were great too (Yea, I ate a lot that day lol) And the prices are great too, win, win, win. All around.
Havent been to this diner in ages. We stopped here for a late dinner after a road trip. Menu is what a diner should be and was not disappointed. We ordered burgers and turkey club with the fixings. Prices are reasonable and theres no reason not to return. I highly recommended this place.

I really wanted to like this place. I asked for a breakfast sandwich with extra mayo, I said extra mayo twice and there was no mayo at all. The Home fries were tasteless. My friend ordered cheese scrambled eggs and there was literally 2 pieces of American Cheese laying on top of the eggs like a blanket. Like I said I really wanted to like this place.

Waited beyond normal time. I asked about food items and waitress had no clue how food was made or what was in it. Brought wrong order. My food showed up over 5 minutes before my seat mates food showed. Just seemed disorganized. Means well and food tasted great just the internal organization and understanding needs to be reviewed

Bacon was warmed up in the flat and definitely has been there for more than a day. Grease on grease. French toast very saggy. Fries were less than a punch. Very saggy as well. This was my boyfriends food. I had cornbeef hash with home fries. Had no problem since i asked to have it a little burned. The lady was nice. But the food was no quality.

I used to love this diner. The quality of the food recently has gone down the drain. Flavorless always cooked wrong. So very disappointed. Not sure what changed there but something did. Such a shame. I will be finding a new diner.

I went here for lunch with my sister after many years of not going to the diner. The service was bad because the waitress came to out table once and did not come back to our table to ask if we needed anything. And she gave us the check without asking if we wanted anything else and stared at us the whole time until we paid. It was very disappointing and frustrating. Probably wont be going back.

I like to share my experience this morning. While ordering I asked to server to please ask the kitchen to toast my homefries both sides. I mentioned that I dont like to send food back to the kitchen. Simple instructions dont you think. They charged me for the homefries and the cashier said they were complementary. No they are not. I should not had to pay for them nor eat them. I am not their pig pig. To eat whatever they put in from of me. Very bad service.
Last night I literally ordered a VERY VERY VERY VERY well done, basically burnt burger and the burger was not well done at all, there was still pinkness in the middle and it had no flavor at that . I enjoy eating at Galaxy Diner and the customer service is great but they really disappointed me these last two times I ordered the same thing from them. I always try to emphasize the “well done” because they obviously don’t know what I mean.

I had the open rib eye sandwich on toasted garlic bread. It was ok, lacked seasoning though. I have to say though their breakfast burrito is really good and their homefries are to die for. Their service is pretty good. If your looking for a tasty breakfast or good burger this is the place.

We stopped here for a late lunch on Easter day and were greeted like family. We both had one fo the Easter specials and it was served with a cup of Greek chicken/rice soup with lemon. My brother particularly liked the baked green beans which done Mediterranean style with tomatoes and onions.
When at Trumbul mall we will bypass the food court and go here. Food plentiful prices reasonable and service very good. Greeted and served by long term employees who know their job and do it well. Good diner food tasty and filling. Love the pictures of the diner through the years which hang on the walls.

My parents used to come here on a date night every Friday (pre-COVID) and the owner always asks how Im doing. Theyre so nice and their food is great. Got cake last night from them that my mom and I were craving- we got Oreo cake and chocolate mousse cake. Im eating the leftover mousse cake and its so delicious even after a day. Its such a cute and homey place and cant wait until we can dine-in again!!
Enjoyed it. Updated food options (wife and I enjoyed sauteed shrimp & scallops meal). You get so much food for the price too. Have no choice but to bring the rest home. If you want something real quick for take out I suggest you try their buffalo wings order as well. Extremely good.

Galaxy Diner is a very nice Italian restaurant located in Bridgeport CT. It was my first time there having dinner with my husband. The price is great and they serve a lot of food for the price. We did not regret going there the food is very good. And it is in front of the main street so the view is great.
My family and I go here like every other weekend for breakfast. The breakfast is phenomenal. My kids love their pancakes and french toast and I always get their corned beef hash. Definitely a good spot!!

Had a mini dinner and it was very very tasty as well as fulfilling. The piece of moose chocolate cake was more than expected. Surprisingly I ate the whole thing. Yum Yum. 🙂 Strongly suggest you try them. Im confident youll love them.

I Give this place 3 stars because the place was clean and festive. The staff was polite. However, the food wasnt that great. I asked for scrambled eggs with cheese. I would think the cheese would be mixed in with the eggs, not slices of cheese slapped on top. The strawberries were old and sour on the pancakes. And for everything in the picture cost $40.00 Not worth it. Id try the place again, just not for breakfast.

Ive been going here for almost every day for the past 3 months and it seems like they dont like having regulars, I order the same thing every single time, not only have the prices been changing (drastically) but the order is done wrong majority of the time.... Then when I call regarding the issue, I get an attitude... Might just have to find another diner to take my money to
I went in with my children to eat a late breakfast. I decided about 3 min later to change my order. Since l couldn’t find my waitress Sandra l told the host. She gave me a lunch menu. I decided to go to the bathroom after that. When l returned l saw my waitress and wanted to make sure the order could be changed. She automatically shut me down and said the initial order was already made. What happened to satisfying the customer especially a frequent one? I didn’t think it would be a big ordeal yet it was. Then to top it off she added an additional meal when l specifically said scratch that let’s go with this instead. In the end l had to pay for the meal which l understand but the owner could have forgiven me this ONE time! l may not dine-in all the time BUT I order from there multiple times throughout the week. I spend between $50-60 a wk. I wonder if the $11.85 for the Galaxy Omelette was worth losing $50-60 a week because I would never step foot into that place again. I paid $11.85 for the omelette that was bagged and left it on the table as a tip for Sandra.

One of my favorite places to eat in Bridgeport. It has been here for years, my grandmother used to work here years ago. I love the nostalgic pictures of the city from years ago. It brings up fond memories of being a kid who grew up in this area. The food and prices are good as well as portion sizes.
