Even though they had fifty percent of our money, Northeast Generator employees, including the president, failed to communicate with us for almost a year about the status of our generator installation. However, once we whispered that magic word, “attorney”, Andrew Jaeger stepped up, communicated frequently, and our generator installation was completed promptly. We have never dealt with a service company that was as irresponsible as Northeast Generator.

We are a long time commercial customer of Northeast Generator. We just got through 4+ days outage(tropical storm Isaias). Longest ever for us as we are a business on the Post Road where you normally get power back quickly. The Generac generator (diesel 480v 200amp) that Northeast installed and does regular maintenance on performed flawlessly. This is not a new generator weve had it for 17+ years. Thank you guys.

Ever since then, Keith, their technician performed maintenance and my generator has performed flawlessly each and every time. During the last outage, the generator ran 250 hours non-stop. Maybe this is the only way to get to sales? I had an excellent experience with a tech who came and fixed our mobile generator and two days later a sales person came to assess the possibility of installing a stand by generator. He came on time, checked around the house and said he would send me an email. After one month I hadn’t received a quote and sent an email to him at [email protected]. Unfortunately no answer until now, two months later. I know the company was very busy after the storm Isaias. But that was in August.

Northeast Generator is the only company I will use because they have gone above and beyond my expections with cheerful and professional service. I bid the job out to multiple companies and ended up going with NE for a number of reasons:1) offered multiple brands and are equipped to perform warranty service for all of them.2) competitive pricing.3) very good communication during bidding process.4) capable of handling the entire project from pulling permits (including main building permit) supplying generator, installation, coordinating all inspections, and obtaining sing-offs.The install went very smoothly and I was up and running as scheduled. Northeast Generator recently acquired our previous service provider. We were unaware of this change until NEG sent us a heads up letter in the mail months prior to the official acquisition. They scheduled a service (which we had missed the previous year with our original service company) and were quickly available for a phone call to get more information. I believe it was one of the owners (Andrew?) who explained the whole process and when the service technician arrived all went smoothly and were happy. Because were subject to a fairly high frequency of power outages generator-reliability is at the top of our list of concerns. on his recent maintenance call adam from northeast gave the equipment a thorough top-to-bottom inspection. i cant recommend these folks too highly.

Ive had a service contract with Northeast Generator since the purchase of my generator years ago and have never experienced a problem. I feel completely safe and secure knowing that should my power should fail, my emergency generator is in the hands of knowledgeable and trustworthy professionals.

The service was excellent but I had an issue with the bill. I called and Mike, the Service Manager called me back. He understood the issue and fixed it to my satisfaction. Im please with the service they do for my home generator and happy with how my issue was resolved.

Quote was reasonable. The installation was excellent. We have an extra sub-panel that required additional work to connect, it was unexpected, but the electricians stayed on and made sure everything was operational. First power outage was last week, everything worked great!

NE Generator completed installation of my new home generator last week and I couldnt be more pleased with the process and the results. I had several companies quote the job and NEG came in with a very thorough and fair proposal. They recommended what I needed for the whole house to be supplied with emergency power without trying to oversell me.Getting a generator installed is a multistep process involving several different contractors (installers, electric, propane, etc.) and layers of permits.that dont all happen overnight. MikeB the Project manager coordinated everything effortlessly (for me) and was on top of every phase along the way. He kept me informed with each step and was 100% accessible to take my phone calls at anytime.I would highly recommend NE Generator.

If I could give zero stars I would. As former customers it is our opinion that you should use ANYONE but NE Generator. Dishonest, untrained technicians, and they do not stand behind their work. Stay away from this company.Zero Stars. There’s the truth, and then there is NE Generator’s version. Their service people broke our generator. They claimed they would fix it. They could not. They stopped answering our phone calls. And then we brought in another generator company (AJ Generator) which DID fix our generator. Use NE at your own peril.

Absolutely AWFUL. We bought our generator from them and they or the people they work with installed it. We had a service contract. When the generator failed during Sandy, they left us and it for dead. The service person couldnt figure out what was wrong and that was it. No follow up despite repeated attempts to call. They couldnt and didnt fix the generator. I know they were busy, but the only time anyone needs help with the generator is during a storm when everyone else needs help and they should be staffed for those emergencies. They advertise and contracted to provide service. They failed and left us dark, cold and flooded. I absolutely would not have anything to do with this company.

Service has been inconsistent. Emergency service was good, but I did not feel that the biannual maintenance was satisfactory. Twice, a person came on an appointed day and never even turned on the generator, which sits just below my home office. The technicians never even announced that they were on the site. I complained got but no satisfaction.

I have a seven year old 10KW Briggs & Stratton NG standby unit that gave up the ghost citing an overspeed fault code. Called around and nobody would touch it without a commitment to a maintenance contract. Called these guys and reached Danielle who was easy to deal with. She scheduled Shawn and Chevelle who showed up *before time* (a huge plus) and did an uber professional job. They did not try to push maintenance contracts or other spurious parts like some other companies do … and got me up and running in time. Highly recommend these professionals if you have a standby generator that needs service. Ask for Shawn by name when you make an appointment. It was truly a refreshing experience transacting with these guys. A+++

I have had my Kohler generator for 3 years, NOT installed by Northeast Generator. I purchased and installed an OnCue wired monitoring system when the generator was installed. Previous companies were unable to get it to work. I switched to Northeast & they came yesterday and updated my firmware. We have had a good experience overall with Northeast Generators over the last 9 years. The service staff are well trained and arrive at their designated appointment time.

You pay for regular quarterly service and one month later you get an error message. Generator only test ran for under 30 minutes. Bingo, another $420 bill with bogus travel and time charges. Very dissapointung.NorthEast reconsidered and reduced their bill. Found their reconsideration reasonable. All is right with the world again.

I had a Cummins generator installed by Nottheast Generator in 2010 and serviced bi-annually ever since. These people are real professionals. Every service is done perfectly and all technicians are experts and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend them for any generator job.

I was quoted $2-3k last year to get my generator running after a couple of years of neglect..... I got it fixed by Cannondale Generators last week for $300+!!!

Couldn’t be happier with the result. They installed in no time and price was very fair!

Beware - NE Generator will schedule a service appointment weeks in advance, reschedule it, arrive and tell you that they cant fix your generator and then bill you $140 + interest. Why cant they just tell you that they do not service your generator. Stay away!

Update:The panels that were damaged were just dropped off behind my house with no notification. They must be expecting the homeowner to do the replacement of these panels which requires two sets of hands and to take the whole thing apart. I do not see how this is fixing the problem that the unit should not have been delivered damaged.My Generator was delivered with every panel dented and scratched. No communication on when they will come out and replace the panels. It should have never been delivered in the shape it was in. I am thinking I may have to get a 3rd party involved based on the business delivering damaged product and not rectifying it.
