Car battery died unexpectedly. Hubs made a quick trip there. Pam was absolutely terrific. Helpful and quick
I brought my car in for new tires but when they inspected the rest of the car they found more serious matters that needed to be addressed. Stephen was so helpful and showed me the major concerns that I wouldnt of known. He gave me wonderful deals and was super kind. Thanks so much!
I went to drop off used oil and then buy brake pads and rotors. I was barely through the door when the guy behind the service desk said I couldnt drop off oil because their tank was full. He didnt even look up from his monitor. If the guy cared about customer service he would have told me to just leave it, or at the very least, look me in the eye. I mean, how long is their tank going to be full? So I wasnt going to walk around the store carrying the used oil. Instead, I walked out without buying brake pads and rotors. Oh well. Im often disappointed with this store.
The service team was so accommodating and kind. They got me in the same day I called and kept me updated on everything going on with my repair. Highly recommend this location. Special shout-out to Jerrell and Zach for their help.
I was there yesterday for a flat tire. Ended up needing new tires, so I was there awhile. The employee that cashed me out was fantastic, though! I cant remember his name, but it was a younger black man, just after 5P on Monday, he seemed to be the only one in the service cashier area. He deserves a raise! He was kind and had great customer service skills. Thank you, kind sir!
Pep Boys was terrific today. I found myself on the turnpike with a tire noise. I had three missing lug nuts on back tire! Pep Boys had them in stock. The service manager installed then at no charge. They checked all the lug torque and tire pressure four tires. One half hour before closing Sunday.
Great staff and selection. My #1 go to for auto supplies.
Very helpful with lots of stock except for the head lights i was looking for but they do have lots of alternatives.
I will never use Pep Boys again!Took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation and to check the brakes.First, they asked me for the wheel lock key which I had no idea what it was. No one has ever asked me that before. Had new tires put on at this location in December 2020 so apparently whoever did the work never put that key back in the glove box where it belonged.THEN go out to my car and found my phone holder broken off the vent! Piece was still connected on the vent but holder was sitting in the cup holder. The manager was horrible! He didnt care about anything.DO NOT GO HERE!
I had the most pleasant experience after a young man with braids dressed all in black helped me today. I am sorry I do not know his name!! He was so kind and helpful that he made me cry. Thank you and I will pay it forwardPlease look for this man for he can be trusted to help you!
Got here at 730pm, (they close at 8)I didnt know if I had low air or a hole in my tire. They two gentalman were extremely helpful and did a thorough job of investigating the tire, to find I did in fact have a hole. Jarrell and Isaac are an asset to this store and I highly recommend you ask for there service.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The only reason I went here, is because it is the only place open on a Sunday. I had my fiancé’s car in here on Sunday because we had a nail in the tire and wanted to get it plugged. We made the appointment Sat night through the website and were given the option of waiting there while the car was serviced. When I brought the car in, I was told it could be a 3 hour wait. I had to call to get picked up because I wasn’t planning on dropping the car off.About 2 hours pass, and they call the wrong number to say the tire can’t be fixed and that we would need to purchase a new tire. I knew that was bs, so I told them to not touch it and I’d be back to pick it up. Long story short, we brought it to a real mechanic this am, and $20 and 10 minutes later we had our tire plugged.
We had a flat tire on a Sunday evening on the Schuylkill Expressway; after changing the spare I drove to multiple places who were still open but unwilling to help fit us in. (We didn’t feel comfortable driving the highway speeds on the donut spare) I called the Pep Boys in Broomall and Matthew and Zach were kind enough to stay open a little later so they could repair my tire for the 2 Hour drive home. They were professional, courteous, and compassionate. They helped me make it to my son’s birthday in time. I am so appreciative and grateful that they went the extra mile. Thanks Matthew, Zachary, and the Sunday 3/28/21 Pep Boys Broomall crew!
Got new tires, no problems.
Polite and professional. Did excactly what and how they said the would.
Great auto dervice
Whatever I need they help me with great store and good people Matthew the manager is a great guy
The most awful customer service I have ever experienced. Had an appointment at 130 for a simple tire swap. However, the tires I ordered weren’t there so they offered me more expensive tires they did have in stock. Lucky me!! They finished at 3, but when I went to drive away, my VSA light was on. I brought it back for them to take care of. It’s now 430 and have heard nothing, just been sitting in the waiting area praying for my life to end.
You always get great customer service
Very helpful sales staffThank you
Good products & service
Back to being solid- fully staffed on open, store was immaculate, comfortable waiting area with thought behind, finished job right on time.
Really friendly staff. Good service
Good guys here. Anytime I have an issue with my car I know I’m in good hands.
I took my daughters car to the Broomall Pep Boys on 10/28 to have the battery check they said the battery was in good working order. Today 10/30 I had to get the car towed because the battery was dead. Took the car to a real mechanic and he replaced the battery all is good. I call to register a complaint with the service manager, I was surprised how rude he was. He has no clue what customer service is about. I will never use Pep Boys for anything.
I checked the hours online and it stated that both service and store open at 7:30 am. When i got there there was a pieces of paper showing that the store does open until 8 am, and the service dept opens at 7:30 am.Now I have to wait in the parking lot for a half hour for the store to open. It is a real inconvenience when a company cant even adjust there times on their website.
Horrible dont go there service writers are on drugs
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I went there for them to repair my tire since there is a nail stuck in it and and after being ignored for 20 minutes, the guy at the service desk asks me if I was another customer, and i replied, No Im here for a tire repair. He never replied and instead chose to help the third person in line behind me without saying a word about when hed help me. I ended up standing in the store waiting at the front of the line for half an hour just to get no help. I also checked and they had four garage bays open at the time, so theres no chance they couldnt just plug the tire quickly and get me out of there. Ill never be going to pepboys for car repairs again.
Yay, Manny Moe & Jack!! Found the ice melt that we needed at this unexpected place. Lots of car stuff, too! Friendly staff, both on the phone and in person.
Went to get a new car battery for my car...arrived after getting a jump start... had wrench to remove terminal connectors, but did not have tool to undo bracket... asked for help they refused... made me buy a tool from them... UNHELPFUL - and did they not give a damn. AVOID this store, clearly they don’t want your business!!!
Hours stink. Never open. Wish there was a Autozone in Broomall.
Great service, cheap price for 40 piece socket wrench set for my electric bike.
I got my car inspected with Pep Boys last year and I noticed afterward that my brakes were squeaking. Which did not make sense because they had put in brand new parts for the braking system. I brought it back to them two separate times (May and June) because it continued to squeak, and I was told both times that the brakes were fine. I went to a different mechanic this past weekend and they let me know that the rotor had been put in incorrectly, so I will have to get a new rotor earlier than expected. I am disappointed and will not be returning for this years inspection.
Pep boys still didnt fix the problem. Have to go back again
Its never a good feeling when your car has to go into the shop, but the employees here always take care of you. They also have a military discount program so if youre a veteran be sure to mention it.
Excellent service and knowledgeable staff
Chris the service manager is one classy guy! Talked a panicked mother down off the crazy train after her son broke down at college. He was professional, knowledgeable & extremely helpful with getting my sons car repaired. Even applied a coupon that helped with the unexpected cost. This was a 10 star experience! Thank you Chris & your team!
Pep boys is great there so helpfu and friendly
Got a battery and tail light fixed. Affordable and quick repairs.
Please don’t take your car here for inspection, I waited all day for the inspection to fail, they told me I need new shocks and that it would cost 650 dollars which I declined, went to pick my car up and they wouldn’t give me the keys until I paid 55 dollars because they did the emissions sticker, okay whatever I paid it and took the car to a mechanic and he said the shocks don’t need to be replaced, and apparently pep boys do this to a lot of people. They will take advantage of you, if you allow them too. Be smart and don’t go to pep boys
I took my car here back in February 2017 for an inspection and of course to fix what was wrong with my car as it had been sitting for about 4 years without being driven almost at all. After paying $700+ I assumed that everything would be fine for a good while since my car was not old at all and had less than 20,000 miles on it. Less than a week later my brakes started grinding so bad that I swore they were just going to give out. I took it back and was told that it was a malfunction of some sort.Okay...cool. So the problem was supposed to be fixed. About 3 days later they start grinding again and I took the cart back AGAIN to fix it. I was then told that a rotor was cracked and that it would be fixed yet again.Got my car back and less than another month later, the same thing happens. We then take it back for THE THIRD time and are told that the problem was a manufacturer issue on the brakes.FINALLY, they are fixed and last until about a week ago. At this point, this is now the FOURTH time that I have taken this car back to the same location for the same problem. So, my husband is a little upset to say the least.I have a lifetime warranty on the brakes and we know that there is a 12 month warranty on the service. So we drop my car off last night and are met with an EXTREMELY rude employee who spoke to my husband as if he was a child for a good half hour. My husband had to explain to this employee multiple times that we had warranties on both the parts and the service. The employee TRIED to convince us that we may have had a warranty on the parts but not the service, which again is not the case at all. While my husband didnt budge on this, he told the employee we wanted NOTHING else done besides the front brakes (as I AM NOT going to continue paying for things to get fixed by these people after weve had this many problems with just the brakes).Another employee contacts my husband this morning and tells him that not only do we need front brakes, but we need back brakes and all 4 new tires. (Mind you, I just purchased all new tires in February and then had to replace 2 of them due to nails that got lodged in them from driving around job sites). So, I know that I DO NOT need new tires and I know for a FACT there is nothing wrong with the back brakes. My husband continues to tell him that we are not going to be paying to get any other work done at that location due to the continuing problems that we have had.I then contact them to see if they close early tonight, as it is the day before Thanksgiving and when I tell him which car is mine, an employee named Rob, proceeds to let me know that he contacted my husband and told him the multiple things that needed to be done and then continues to mock my husband. I was so caught off guard that I literally could not say anything but, Okay... and hang up.I am SO completely fed up with this place and their horrible customer service skills and dont understand how, after seeing that so many people have had continuing problems such as mine, they have not gotten a completely new staff yet. Im reading reviews from OVER A YEAR AGO of people having the same problems as I have had or even worse problems and the staff hasnt been reprimanded or even fired?! Any other place that have had this many problems with their staff would have had a COMPLETE turn over of employees by now.I dont understand why this place cant get it together and just do their damn job so that I dont have to keep bugging them to fix something that should have been fixed BACK IN FEBRUARY.
Great experience of being attended to and having service done quickly.
I bought my car in for wheel bearings service they talked me into a brake line flush which wasnt really necessary and some more work that run about $650. After I picked up the car I noticed a heavy rattling noise that I did not previously have. I bought the car back to pep boys the following week they then told me that it was a loose bolt on my alternator and that I should probably replace the alternator for another $800. I told him just tighten the loose bolts and they refused saying it was a safety issue. The safety issue is that I didnt have a loose bolts before they serviced my car. I think these people are thieves.
Horrible service employees!!! Went in to get new wipers put on the car, probably one of the simplest things someone can do. The wiper flew off of the car during a rain storm the same day.. so dangerous and could have caused a bad accident. When I called the store and spoke to Rich for a refund, they said they couldn’t process that unless I went to the store. I explained that I live far away from that store and won’t be able to drive there. Do not recommend this shop at all.. horrible customer service!
Took my car here instead of my usual place because I was able to get an appointment here. Even with an appointment there was still a considerable wait.
I only deal with Erin in the parts department. She is always very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. This Pep Boys is the best vendor I deal with. Quick delivery, and they always get the order correct.
Gave me a GREAT price on tires (I recommend Starfire) and had them installed in less than an hour. Even offered to drive me back/pick me up from work when they were finished!
Awesome
Made an appointment for an oil change, for two hours after calling. Arrived and was told it would be a two hour wait. I’ll find a better option, waste of time.
My rating previously would have been a three or four. I almost made it a one star. I scheduled my car for 9:00 this morning at Pep Boys. I’ve been going there off and on for many years. I usually did a walk-in, when I had time on my busy schedule. An oil change and car inspection took maybe 2 hours. Several days ago I decided to schedule an appointment online since I had very limited time. Big mistake! The three of us with scheduled 9:00 appointments were stil there 5 hours later while many other customers came and went. When. I patiently asked about status at 12:15, I was told there were 3 people ahead of me and when I exclaimed I had a 9:00 appt. he appeared surprised and said he was now doing the oil change and walked away. At around 2:00, miraculously, my car was ready.....I was the last person waiting and bays were mostly empty. Stephen explained that there were 3 people scheduled for 9:00 and they had, FOUR inspections scheduled and the mechanic was really anxious and stressed out so they wouldn’t be able to do any diagnostic testing, but I was welcome to come back another day. I explained that I had never experience a 5 hour time for basic services and would be filing a complaint with the management since something was wrong with their appointment system and customer intake process. He said repeatedly there was nothing wrong with the system....it worked!! And over and over said I passed inspection, as if he did me a favor. Oh, and he kindly removed the diagnostic fee....which they hadn’t done...another favor, I guess. I will never step foot in another Pep Boys again!
Excellent. I will definitely use Pep Boys for my auto needs.
Made an appt for simple headlight change. Somehow it took 1.5 hrs and they had no idea why...I would rather pay more to go elsewhere. Not even worth it to get parts here as other places including Amazon are cheaper. Never going here again
Im sorry. I meant to give you guys five stars... Ive always been extremely pleased with the services your business provides...
Takes way to long to check out.Even with a couple of customersBring a lunch
Went in for some brake pads, man who served me was very helpful and pleasant...
Was charged $240 for 7 bulbs for state inspection.I dont believe it.
Very helpul
Wow a lot of bad reviews here and I don’t know why??? I always shop on the retail side and my experience is always pleasant. Recently visited the store it’s different from my last visit, but the team is still the same. The manager Harris has been there for a while he is always super helpful, his team is trained in putting the customer first. The added inventory helps don’t have to wait to have parts delivered to the store anymore they have it in stock and my brakes were 25% off!! Great people, Great parts at a great price.
Ive shopped here for automotive supplies almost weekly, and for that they are fine if you bring your coupon with you, although they did just cut their inventory which is a bummer. However I just got a tire purchased and installed, that experience was a frustrating mess.If you dont know here is a tip, pep-boys products are marked at a higher price compared to literally anywhere else they are sold. Hence the beautiful fact that they offer a price match guarantee .However, I was able to show multiples of other competing competitors prices that ranged from $164 to $180, pep-boys price for the same item was $252. The best that the assistant service manager was able to for me was to mark it down to $200 (still about $10 more expensive than the most expensive leading competitor, Tirerack at $180 + about 9 dollars tax). I was then literally told by one of the associates (in front of other customers) that they need to make a little, and dont you care about us and us making some? I was livid, I have never been told something like that after going to this location for 7 years. I agreed to buy the tire out of necessity and time being a major factor where I was willing to throw away the $20 that they still up-charged the tire for. This morning once the job was done and I later checked my trunk and I discovered they never put the spare back in my car!To the service associate that is okay with up-charging to make extra money for themselves, I am not sure if you are aware, I could have ordered that tire ONLINE myself even through pep-boys and scheduled ONLINE once again by myself. What do you need an extra cut of money from? your not even the one installing the tire!
I used to be loyal Pep Boys customer but the just dont have competitive prices anymore and they dont give much back thru their rewards program. Theres always a catch to spend more. I can do much better online and at Walmart.
Went in early May to have a battery replaced. It was around inspection time so I had them do that and an oil change as well. So 6 weeks later my light comes on informing me its soon time for an oil change. So they charged me and flat out didnt do it. Called the service manager Tuesday and Friday of last week. Never received a call back. At first I thought it may have been an honest mistake. Now Im just assuming they are scumbags.
Got decent service. The guy at the desk was clearly tired and somewhat overwhelmed. I needed two tires replaced (other two were newer from previous owner of my car). I asked for the bad ones to be replaced, and to be moved to the front and the *older* ones moved to the back. They finish, bad tires are still on car, on the wrong axle (front) and my tires that still are in good shape are gone. I go back in and the guy at the desk was very nice but clearly aggravated. I go back out when they finished...old tires still there, just on the back now. What a pain in the butt! Had to get them swapped yet again, hoping they still have my original tires.
Had to run in to get a fuse for the cigarette lighter. Asked the cashier and got the exact location. Grabbed it and was in and out in two minutes.
Getting better. More about car parts again
I went to Pep Boys to purchase a replacement battery, and it turns out the battery was still under warranty. They replaced it for free. You have to appreciate a company that stands behind their promises. The staff and manager were knowledgeable, and friendly. They put the customer first. Thanks!
Went in for a tool, the guy says we probably dont have it. I had to find it myself. Dude didnt want to be bothered with me.
Went in for a inspection, that should have taking no more then a hour, 5 hours later, I remembered, why I stopped dealing with Pep boys years ago. employee tells me I need to rear tires, tells me $115. for each tire, plus balancing and road side warranty. fair enough, I give the OK, to change them. 15 minutes later, he comes back and tells me, I need to change all 4, because its a all wheel drive car.new price of over $500. total. I told him, thats not correct, its rear wheel drive. ( My car is a BMW hardtop convertible ) He tells me he is 100% sure its all wheel drive, but he will double check, with his mechanic. When he returns, He tells me The car is rear wheel drive, total a little over $350. 10 minutes later he comes back to tell me, the tires, they originally quoted me are the wrong size tires. The new tires now cost, $165. each. new total $484. I asked the guy, what type of games are you playing, you seem to want to keep my bill near $500. I told him to take of the warranty, and do the work. I will never recommend or Come back to Pep boys ever. ( forgot to mention, he said he need to go to another Pep boys to get the correct tires)
They were timely and very clean.
Service area was poorly staffed which Im sure did not help their customer service. I made a 10 AM service appt and requested to pick up by 2 PM. The service agent said that would be fine. I called at 1:45, they hadnt started working on it yet! I made other arrangements so I could leave my vehicle there. They said I would get an update by 4:30. I called for a 2nd time at 5 and they were too busy to talk to me and would call me back in 5 min. They called back an hr later to tell me it was finished. Terrible customer service. Very disappointing.
The staff are always friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always ready to help. Store is always clean and stocked
Pep Boys has great prices for parts. I always receive my special orders in a timely manner. They also have just about everything you can think of. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the good work!
Sold and put on new tires for me but yet here I am at inspection a month later and they are bald and Im being told I need new tires. Pretty sure they just left the old ones on and charged me. The headlight I got from here two months ago is also now out. Literally never go here.
Ever been to a car place and just feel taken advantage of? This is the exact opposite. Thanks for taking care of me, guys!
Great communication and great service. Truly the best place around and I would never go anywhere else!!
On 12-4-19 the Brookhaven store was out of stock of the tires I needed but they said the Broomall store had them. I called and spoke to Jake (whose name came up as JERRELL K on the invoice). He said that he could do everything for 348.00 and made an 8 am. appointment for the next day. He also said that he would call me back and confirm that he had them in stock, which he didnt do. The next day I arrive at 7:55 am. And same person who told me the day before the price now tells me 400.00 after some back and forth he comes up with 351.35. after waiting 30 minutes in the wait area he comes to me and says he only has 1 tire. Wasted 2 hours of my day and the gas back and forth. Pathetic
Matt at the service desk was disrespectful. I usually go to the Exton store, where the staff is professional and courteous. At this store, waited for 3 1/2 hours for a front headlight bulb replacement, then Matt called someone elses name in the waiting room but I realized after leaving that he mixed up the names and I waited 1 1/2 hours after my car was ready. I finally asked the service manager about my car at around 3:50 and the completed job had been in the finished bin for quite awhile. Then the service manager told me it was finished but they could not find my car! My phone was turned off after awhile because the battery was dying from waiting so long. When I got to the car, the headlights were still on. Later that evening I listened to v.m. and got a message from Matt at 2:25, telling me my car was done! That was the time he came into the waiting room, calling someone elses name. I didnt leave there until 4:05. Got there at 12:20.If you want a lack of efficiency and professionalism, check it out.
DO NOT TAKE WALK-IN CUSTOMERS CARS INTO YOUR BAY WHEN PEOPLE WITH APPOINTMENTS ARE WAITING!!!!A week prior I made an appoint for the following Saturday at 8am to have my winter wheels swapped for my summer wheels. So I arrive at 7:45 and wait for them to open at 8. I am the first person there and tell them I have a 8am appointment to swap out my wheels. They tell me to drop off my rims at the bay door, a worker places them on the floor inside the bay...So I am standing in the parking lot for an HOUR and FORTY minutes watching as the workers come out and pull cars in that arrived AFTER I did. I saw this 3 separate times! Clearly these people did not have appointments! I finally went in and told the counter guy I needed my keys and wheels back. Didnt even apologize or ask what my issue was. He went and got the keys, picked up my wheels and left. What is the point of making an appointment for something as simple as swapping out four wheels? That is seriously a 15 minute job to swap them out. I would give this place and the idiots that work there zero stars if I could. They clearly have zero customer service skills and have no idea how to manage their work flow.DO NOT TAKE WALK-IN CUSTOMERS CARS INTO YOUR BAY WHEN PEOPLE WITH APPOINTMENTS ARE WAITING!!!! I used to buy odds and ends there, but Ill find a new company to get parts from.
I was having a really bad day. I tried to add oil in the Parking Lot of the Broomall Pep Boys store. It was raining hard and the oil cap slipped and fell into the engine. After trying to find it and getting my hands greasy, my phone also fell into the engine (it was a long morning). Ernest was able to get me in and the guys in the shop were able to find the cap and give me an oil change. Super easy! Fantastic service!
Was recommended four new tires during inspection (was surprised as I had zero tire problems since buying the car, but hey, theyre the people who study this craft) so I agreed. A week later a tire had lost all of its air.Took it to a different Pep Boys location (because its closer to my house) and they checked the tire and told me it wasnt properly installed so air was leaking out. When I returned to the Broomall location to inform them of this, they were doubtful and said well then you should have brought it to us and offered no apologies or sincere concern that they failed a customer who trusted their opinion. I regret leaving an independent mechanic location and am thrilled to return my business to an honest and reliable location. Never again will I be at a Pep Boys.
Mf. i called to change oil for my rental car, they told me they can do it ib 1 or 2 hours. they said we will call u when car ready. they dont do it and they close the store. i rented a car to travel with it and i loose my day, money and temper. AH
Found and retrieved the specific tire we needed. Mounted, balanced and installed it in a relatively short time for a special order. Thanks
Wow is all I can say I just went there for an oil change felt like I was being stiffed pep boys was my familys go to place so I figured it would be mine as well!!! The attitude of that front desk clerk wasnt very pleasant seems like he just didnt want to serve me so just left. And went to Ford across the street... Good luck on your future endeavors.
A couple months ago I bought a car battery from this place with a warranty but it stopped working shortly after and I took back to get a new one but the manager (short lady with glasses and attitude) refuses to give me a new one claiming that she tested the battery and worked just fine. I didnt want to argue with her so I went back my way and both a battery somewhere else. Another time I went to get power steering fluid for my car and I told her as I enter the building that I needed a POWER STEERING FLUID for my car and I even showed her an image from my cell that I took of the manual where it states The brand and kind of fluid I needed). She went on the computer and came back with another guy, perhaps she didnt know anything about fluids but then she was giving me a transmission fluid (I know that most of them will work for both); I told her that I mention a steering instead of transmission and with a careless attitude she said NOW HE WANTS STEERING FLUID she said that I never told her that. The guy ended up knowing the model and the kind of fluid I needed. This kind of childish behavior and person is what made our country go broke. Not only they have no customer service abilities to communicate with the customer, they also have an attitude that will bring no business anymore.I will recommend to everyone to stay away from that place and go elsewhere. I wont go back there thanks to the manager!Cheers
Had the battery in stock, took my core, had a wore brush hanging in the first place I looked under me change the ish out in the parking lot. Solid experience.
Pretty much my go to, went here for an oil change and then back again a couple days later for brakes. The work is always good.
Clean place nice people prices alittle high for what you need
I will not be back to this location for car service. They are unreliable. Over the course of 3 weeks I came to this store several times for the same reason. And it still did not get fixed. Called multiple times to get a price for a part and they NEVER got back. I ended up going somewhere else and getting it fixed within the same day. This location is a waste of time and terrible customer service. Good Luck!
I have to say that they fix your flats for free if youre a member, thats a plus but then again, they are required to do that so Im not complaining about that. I recently dropped off my car there to get new tires and before I did that, I called them to go over some prices and mentioned the coupon I had. After ordering the tires I needed, we came to a final price of about $950, give or take a few dollars. So I dropped off the car and went to work. A few hours later I get a call from someone who works there telling me I needed new breaks and that my rotors needed to be cut. I asked the guy how much that would cost me. He told me about $500! I told him not now because I was already paying almost $1000 for the tires so Ill be back for the breaks later on in the month. He then told me my breaks would last for another 3-4 months tops! I thought that was weird because he just told me I needed new breaks. Anyway, my wife and her grandmom went to pick up the car because I was stuck at work. I called her later on and asked her how much she paid. She told me about $1100! I was furious! I told her that they told me a little under $1000 and she said the guy there told her this this and the 5th was done. I wanted to call them and cuss them out but my wife told me to calm down and just forget about it. About a month later, I took my car to my trusted mechanic and asked him about my breaks and rotors. He told me my breaks were good for about another 6 months and that my rotors were good also and that they do not need to be cut! Imagine that! Buyers beware! The workers at this location are deceptive and prey on people. Do NOT take your car here! Mark my words!
Dismal place to shop. The workers are not very attentive. Three personnel would not greet a customer that was waiting to ask for advice. One walked away and the other two kept talking while he stood there for a minute confused. Checkout was slow because no one was checking the registers. Corporate needs to renovate and motivate. Until then, plan ahead and buy online.
I cannot speak on their service as I was never serviced. I tried to ignore the bad reviews and scheduled an appointment for an inspection at 6pm. Told they only take 1-2 hours and this location closes at 9. I show for my appointment and asked:“What are you here for, young lady?”- I have an appointment for an inspection.“No you don’t.”-What? Why not?“We don’t do inspections this late.”- Why wasn’t I told that when I scheduled the appointment?“I don’t know, we don’t have inspectors here this late.”This did not answer my question. But whatever, I am so done with this company. Considering this is the third store that I have been to in the last two days. AND This is their second chance after a horrific experience with an oil change two months. I will not be returning to ANY PepBoys.Never. Again.
I took my car in for an oil change this afternoon. They told me that the car wouldnt be ready until 6, but they would give me a call when I could come and get it. Called them at 6 and they were CLOSED!!! No phone call. Now my car is up there, no oil change, and THEY have the KEYS!!!!! Never going back!!!!!
Nice, professional and quick service. Price a bit high but worth it for convenience!
Never have parts i need
We got great auto service today. No appointment. Quick service. Recommended.
Last Thursday, I was driving in Broomall, PA on the way home from a college visit. Unfamiliar with the area, I hit a huge unavoidable pothole. My tire pressure light came on and I could see the pressure quickly dropping. It was 7:30pm and I had no roadside assistant services I could call. I was in a very unfamiliar area, stressed, and stumbled upon this Pepboys in Broomall. I am a 21 year old female who frankly knows nothing about cars, and Ben was so kind! He could have easily taken advantage of my lack of car knowledge but instead he immediately took my car in to take a look at it. Turns out the rim was just bent, so they fixed it free of charge! He was extremely kind to me and I highly recommend Ben and his team for any of your car needs. Honest, patient, and committed employees here!! :)
We were able to find everything we needed with ease and the cashier was super nice and explained what we needed to do!
I was just recently in your Broomall store and I was very confused about what I needed for my car, a young man named Harris was very helpful. I will definitely be back to this store if I have any questions. Again thank you very much Harris.
