Great bagels! Plenty selections of bagels and cream cheese. We ordered everything bagel toasted with vegetable cream cheese, pumpernickel bagel toasted with plain cream cheese and mini plain bagel toasted with butter. The warm bagels are delicious! Its crispy outer layer with soft dough is so delicious! The vegetable cream cheese is not the typical kind, its homemade with carrots, spinach and seemed to be sauteed before mixed with cream cheese. The plain cheese is standard plain cheese. The mini bagel also has the good crispy outer layer texture with soft dough. The butter is good but not my most favorite. I really liked my everything bagel, all the seeds are so fragrant and pairs really well with the vegetable cream cheese. The pumpernickel has well balanced flavor. Its a small shop with no seating. Self service coffee on the side. There is plenty of parking in the complex. Friendly staff. Id go back to try other bagels!

Bagels are absolutely delicious. And the staff is incredibly friendly. When I finish shopping at the supermarket, I take a few extra minutes to come here. Its definitely worth it.

My first time there a few days ago. Excellent customer service too. The pastries and bagels are really good. The pastries remained fresh for a few days.

There is a lot of history associated with this store and its owners which I will get to in the later part of my review.The bagels they make here are properly water boiled and have the right chewy texture you are looking for if you come from Brooklyn. I tried to jalapeno bagel which was constructed well and toasted perfectly. However I couldnt really taste the jalapeno component of it which lost them a star.The size of the bagels are on the smaller side for what you pay.While then no longer have a jalapeno cream cheese, they do stock fresh jalapenos which I asked to be diced into the vegetable cream cheese on my toaster bagel and it was fantastic.For reference, my small coffee and the jalapeno with vegetable cream cheese plus freshly diced jalapenos ended up $5 and change.You can get their homemade cookies, tart cookies, bagel chips and their own cream cheeses if you wish.This store is 24 years old and the owners Mike and his fiance Christina are very pleasant to work with. Mikes father was the first person to move from Brooklyn and the Philadelphia area to open the New York bagel shop a few miles away in 1965 on June 3rd. Since then the New York bagel shop has been sold across 5 owners. The original bagel store which Mike runs still boils their bagels as opposed to New York bagel which is changed the original recipe and now steam them.

This place has the absolute best bagels in the area. Great variety of flavors and homemade cream cheeses. Always fresh and delicious.

A very lovely bagel shop.This is how I imagine bagel shops were in the 1950s.Everything is freshly made.Immediate 5 star award for ambiance.Every staff member is personable and friendly; theyre there to give you whatever makes you happy and theyre very pleasant as they do so. The service is top notch; 5 stars for service!My wife and I really like their breakfast sandwiches. They have an assortment of all freshly-made bagels with lots of different cream cheese options as well. Their lox cream cheese is the best Ive ever had. A solid 5 stars for food.They have self serve coffee and some cold brew by request. Also an assortment of bottled nonsense and bottled water. 5 stars for liquids but only because their service is bomb.Check this place out to skip the wait at Apple Walnut! Apple Walnuts great but its mentionable that I only gave them 4 stars when I rated them.

The best bagels Ive ever had. Theyre made fresh daily. Plenty of choices. They also make fresh butter on-site and have plenty of cream cheese options as well. Ive never had them but they also make sandwiches. Theres usually an assortment of cookies too. Ive also had to put in large orders and theyre ready on time. Theyll pre-cut the bagels too which is time saving.

This was my first visit to the Original Bagel store, I was a little disappointed that there was no way to eat in and that the space was so tight. But that doesnt mean that I wouldnt return or that I dont reccomend it as a destination. The bagels were fresh moist and delicious. They offer a nice variety of toppings for the bagels, as well as many options for sandwiches, we had whitefish salad, one on onion bagel and one on jalapeno bagel. Both were great. We shall return very soon.

Pretty funny that they justify charging $1 for credit card transactions. They pay 3% to credit card company and customer pays 10% for a $10 transaction....pretty slick business move.

Family owned and operated (not a chain). Baked fresh daily! They mix their own cream cheese spreads too. Also have a assortment of fresh cookies, biscott, and (occasionally) pies. Worth a visit. No seating.

We just moved to the area and are very happy were found this bagel shop. We are originally from NY and NJ where good bagels are readily available. This bagel shop has excellent bagels!

Bagels are great, all specialty bagels are always covered on both sides. Spreads cookies muffins coffee its all great. You can even get some sandwiches made to order. Workers are always friendly and professional.

Although I agree the bagels are good, I have stopped going to this store from multiple very poor customer service experiences. My wife only wanted the egg bagel. I go once a week and get a dozen + spreads + sweets & coffee. Over $30. Dollars a week for a couple years now. FOUR TIMES they gave me egg poppy (wife hates them) instead of just egg.The 1st time I said nothing, the 2nd & 3rd time I drove back (12 mile round trip). Each time I was given a modest to poor apology, seemed insincere.The 4th time I got serious on the phone - not rude but authoritative, there was no apology- only defensive excuses like “we’re only human bla bla bla...” Why not just eat a different bagel from your dozen... What?!? OMG!!!THE PROBLEM is each time it cause my wife to not get the breakfast she wanted. Causing both of us hardship because our breakfast was ruined, the egg bagel was the only one she wanted and they seemed to care less.She (store employee) offered to drive the correct bagels to my house because she was making some business deliveries anyway in my area. I asked can you come now? She almost laughed in the phone with a sarcastic “no I can’t do that” What seemed like a strong effort, becomes an empty gesture for two reasons 1. absent any sincere apology and all the defensive excuses implying I had a problem, just eat from the others you bought - was outrageous. 2. Unless you’re coming right now (so my wife and I can enjoy our only once a week morning breakfast together - you’ve actually done nothing to fix the ruined breakfast you caused (she could not get there for almost 2 hours).Original bagel in NOT TO BE TRUSTED.LOTS OF OTHER PLACES & no your are not the best. To be the best you must have all 3 qualities: great food, fair prices, & well above customer service YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL 3 :0(People do make mistakes but the best Restaurants (food stores) make sincere apologies, a visit from the manager or owner and then it never happens again. FOUR TIMES YOU MADE THE SAME MISTAKE! Your empathy was absent, being smug even worse and you are not the best so your attitude and lack of humility honoring your customers will eventually be your own demise.What a shame all it took was human error (be it 4 times) to show your true colors. Arrogantly conceited with contempt for your customer- my god how you must talk about us behind our backs. Shameful just shameful.
