Being an antiques dealer for close to 30 years Ive seen plenty of stores selling everything from $2.00 tea cups to $50,000. Tiffany piecesand presentation is key. While this shop has some nice household items they are just too congested. I went to pick up an item for a friend and could hardly get out of the store, they had no help available at the time and I was sure that I would destroy something trying to exist. The shop is bright and clean, so by all means check it out.

Now this is a great find. What a nice Store. Wonderful furniture. I love their prices. I have been shopping here for the last 2 years. I always enjoyed the service and their flexibility. I will be back soon.

Bought a coffee and end table here. Its in pretty good condition. Planning on sanding it down and retaining it though since theres wear and tear on it. Store is pretty big and packed full of furniture and decorative items. Planning on going back soon to look for dining room set!

Great store. The workers are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. It has mostly furniture and it is of high quality and so you can really get great buys. I wish they had stores like this around when I was much younger and just starting out. I would have gotten much better stuff and at much better prices.

Bought a chair which was very reasonably priced. When I got home, I figured out why. It reeks of cigarette smoke. I tried white vinegar, leather wipes, dryer sheets, putting it outside for some fresh air- you name it.I have to throw it away which is like burning money. Before you buy anything there, be sure to check your product over very very carefully.

I have not experienced the rudeness mentioned in other reviews. My wife and I bought two wonderful pieces of furniture for very reasonable prices. Scheduling a delivery was easy and cheap. We plan to come back for more.

The reviews about the rudeness of the front counter are TRUE. I was barely acknowledged when walking in then I heard them greet another customer very cheerfully. I left my information for them to call me when a dining room set was priced (because the woman working in the back suggested I do so at the front counter) and never got a call. I went back and it is still there. I guess they didnt want to sell it. I dont like shopping in a store feeling like Im inconveniencing the people who are WORKING because I want to purchase their products. I was at several consignment stores this weekend and this was my worst experience.

If you consign with them, just make sure to check your balances and activity on the online account. Their contract states checks were to be mailed out within 45 or so days. I forgot about the consignment sale until 5 months later, and had to make two phone calls to get a check issued. If I never called, I believe I would not have received the money due to me, and it was a few hundred dollars. I wondered if they do this on purpose in hopes consigners forget or don’t realize they have a credit due. To me they didn’t honor the contract, and so I would not use them again.

The reviews on YELP and here about how rude and indifferent the salesperson is (Laura) are all absolutely TRUE!!!! I have been in the store several times through the years, but never encountered Laura! I asked her for her name, so that I would not falsely accuse any other employee there.I was there for a consignment appointment and my encounter with her absolutely ruined my day! She was so disinterested and distant with me. She gave me a consignment form with no indication of what I was leaving to consign. It was blank! When I asked her about it, she appeared insulted and annoyed. She scratched out a few things and gave it back to me. I added more details and took pictures.They have a relatively decent shop, but I do feel that based on reviews here and on YELP that they are really taking advantage of consigners, and some customers.I would hope that people who know of better options for consigning in the area would post them. I would not encourage anyone to go to Consign and Design and be subjected to the type of experience I had. I only left my items because I am working on a short timeline to clear out my storage, and I didnt have time to search for other options.After reading the other reviews, I went back and retrieved my china set, only to find that the creamer was missing. A more friendlier salesperson said she would look for it. I also followed up with an email and picture we took of it on the stores counter. However, I am confident that I will never hear from them again.

Keep your eyes open because there are so many treasures. If you are looking for furniture come here first. You may find an amazing piece at a fraction of the price. They also have a ton of de orative objects. I also recommend following their FB page as they often update it with new items.

I have bought this place for 17 years since they opened, and I feel so happy to shopping and I can say that I can not go through to West Chester Pike without stopping in consignment design, I am addicted to them ....they have the best prices in town!! Gracias!!

Although I do shop here and have found some cool stuff, I do find the person at the desk (not the owner) to be rude, unfriendly, and doesnt know how to say thank you when you make a purchase. Really...this is not a high pressure job that you cant smile and thank the customers.

While looking up Consign and Design in considering to consign for the first time, things of my own, I came across these unbelievably UNTRUTHFUL reviews of one of my favorite consignment shops in the area. Someone may just have a vendetta against the shop owner because my experience has ALWAYS BEEN POSITIVE. Or these people are not talking about the same store. I always stop in this store and find the staff and owner, her mom and staff very pleasant with an acknowledging hello. The pricing is very reasonable, items are displayed well and I rarely leave without buying something. I am truly apalled that someone would lie so harshly in an effort to ruin someones reputation in their business ethics and practices. Shame on you! I brought a very expensive genuine Lazyboy to sell there. On Sale I paid over $500 just over a year ago, they marked it as $150, then 3 days before I was to pick it up they marked it down again and I got a small fee for it selling, less thank $75. Although I new what I was really signing up for, but it took over 3 months and 3 phone calls to get my money. My last call was on 10/26. They rude person I talked to said they got a new system and all checks were being sent out the following day. My check was dated 10/30.. so much for the next day! They are a rip off find another way to sell your items.
