Shoooot, this place is dangerous! I went in for the first time to simply look around. Nest thing I know I walking out with a new poncho liner ( woobie for those in the know) two MRE jalapeño beef patties, and anew pair of shoes. Such to see, great customer service. Lots of beef jerky and sunflower seeds. Seriously if youre into anything outdoors, stop in for a look around.

I need a shirt that says all my time and money go to Jax. This place has it all. Clothing, camping gear, bike gear, kayaks, snowshoeing, hunting, hardware, gardening, kitchen (some great Hinkel knives), coffee cafe, etc. The staff is always helpful and has provided some great tips on camping areas and kitchen cutlery.

Jax is BEST outdoor store. Its have nearly A-Z stuffs. Any outdoor activity, ranch, gardening, army, heavy work sewing.Staff is friendly and kept getting a offer assistance from different workers.Better than Bass Pro Shop

JAX is REI, Home Depot and Sports Authority in one store. Kind of an old school hardware store on steroids with a great selection from camping gear to baby chicks! It is my go to place for hardware (nuts, bolts, screws) and my wife loves their room paints. This is not a discount store so do not expect things to be cheapest you can find, but do expect high quality at decent prices. (Oh, and they sell propane by the gallon -- this is the only place I buy it for my camper and grill.)

I was a fan of Jax when there was only the Fort Collins location. Sadly, my experience here this past weekend was discouraging to say the least.Upon arrival, I inquired about speaking with someone about the purchase and selection of utility trailers for sale and was told someone from Farm and Ranch would be up to help. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, I was told that they were training an employee and would be up. Another 5 minutes and was finally asked to just leave a message so Farm and Ranch would follow up.I appreciate the attitude of the individual I worked with up front, but the experience and lack the of service from Farm and Ranch left a bad vibe towards the store. Training employees is super important and it shows with most of the employees at this location, but leaving a customer waiting is discouraging and teaches the new trainee that Jax can disregard customer service.This might also be a reason that some trailers in the lot are 2 model years old...

They have all kinds of cool stuff, and were also able to help identify a baby bird the cat brought home. It was a cinnamon queen chick, so it was interesting and informative . Thanks Calib

Outstanding service and selection! I have a pair of chacos but I wasn’t sure if I was sized correctly when I purchased them from another retailer several years ago. Georgie (sp?) a delightful young girl in shoes truly took time with me with several different styles to help me get the best fit. I ended up buying something entirely different but I just had to brag on a great service oriented employee.

The young gentleman working in the Fishing department was super friendly and helpful. I had no idea how to obtain a fishing license for my teenage son, and he was extremely helpful walking me through the process over the phone and then printed the order for me in the store. What a great first-time experience with JAX!

Shopping for running shoes and hiking boots. Low inventory; they were out of stock for 50% of what we wanted. The two times we went to this store the sales personnel came across as unhelpful and less than friendly. Kinda felt like I was an inconvenience to them.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Broomfield has become the mecca of outdoor gear. This store is unassumingly MASSIVE. All of the items are logically placed making it very easy to find what your looking for. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful- will come here again.

Ive been waiting for months for a backordered product to arrive from a online e-bike vendor. They shipped the wrong bolt pack. A couple minutes at Jax and I had the correct bolts.

I love this particular Jax location. I spend a lot of time here getting fishing gear and Donny is always so helpful and was always willing to answer alllll of my questions as I was getting to know all of the gear I needed when my fishing obsession was still shiny and new.I used to get chicken feed and pet food here and they always seemed to have the stuff in stock that I need but I couldn’t rely on being able get at the other places.It’s a fun place to bring the kids when the chicks and ducklings are there and there are lots of fun things to look at.

Was my favorite place to shop- not any longer waited in shoe area for 30 minutes, no one to wait on me.

Sounds crazy but this excellent outdoor store’s little cafe has THE BEST Mexican dark chocolate fudge EVER and it’s house made and fresh as of this posting. Beats the pants off of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and it’s cheaper to boot. Yum!

I bought a snow blower today and the people at Jax’s were amazing. It was preassembled, they checked to make sure it worked, disassembled the shoot and the handlebars so it would fit in my SUV, then they helped me load it and strapped the hatch down too. AND when I got home and checked the gas, it was full!!! Amazing customer service!! Thank you!!

This store has alot in it anything for outdoor purpose. This place or any Jax location is worth a visit. Staff is friendly, place was clean, plenty of parking. I personally like walking around to get ideas if I need to use something for the future. I suggest visiting once, if not twice to take it all in on what they have for your future needs.

This store is amazing! And I don’t just mean as a store, but the people that work there are! Gun counter folks are patient and informative. Glenn at the knife station/Counter was informative with the sharpening of a knife and degrees of holding the knife while doing so.Good store even when times are tough and tension is high

As much as I like this store they NEVER have my size in stock out of the last 12 times they are always out of Large or medium shirts or hoodies and never a size 10 in the shoes I want. But they got all the XL and XXL.

The staff here are incredibly helpful, and the store is well stocked. There is a good mixture of options ranging from most affordable, to more expensive. If you are an avid outdoors-person, rancher, hunter or like fishing this is a great store to get outfitted for your needs. They also do gear rentals at very reasonable rates. I highly recommend checking them out first before going someplace like REI or Dicks for your outdoor gear.

Love this place! Its like REI & Murdochs had a baby and then that baby married a True Value :) They have everything, its just fun to go browse! Very impressed by how knowledgeable & well trained the staff is. From questions about tents to tools they are always helpful. We also love the vet clinic once a month. Only wish they had better sales, be sure to sign up for the coupons.

Prior to moving to Colorado some 6+ years ago, I was an REI shopper, almost exclusively, for my outdoor gear. About a year or so after arriving here I discovered these Jax stores. Some seemingly more about ranching/farming then outdoor which delayed my patronage.Well, as time has gone on I have discovered that Jax is an outdoor store - meaning if your doing something outdoors - work, play, need - then Jax is where you should head.Ive found that Jax has a robust outdoor recreation selection, far more than places like REI or big box stores. Along with this selection is an almost constant selection of sale items with bargains in sizes that works for us small/medium folks.As I work outside and do building/construction work, Jax has become my go to for work related items, be it hand tools, power tools or materials. Many times Jax has work specific items that big box stores have one of - welding, tow/trailer parts, fittings, fence options, etc. Often times I go to Jax first and I am rewarded with selection and good pricing.They have large shoe selection - work, play, warm, cold, recreation, serious recreation, etc. And if you dont see the size or brand you want, one of the friendly staff may have a good solution.They also offer hunting gear and such, though thats not my jam. They do have most of the fishing gear I need.Lastly, I have called the stores and the help line and they were great experiences - helpful, friendly, ready to call you back if they cant resolve it right then. A real game changer as most of my calls to stores is an exercise is nonsense and frustration - but not Jax!They are the go-to store(s) for most of my outdoor needs. And I find the service and help better than many, better than most. Ok. lots better.

God awful service. Went in today to get some carabiners and ended up standing at the climbing counter being ignored by the employee standing literally 15 ft. away who was working on bicycles.Called out multiple times to no effect and would have thought that he was simply deaf if not for the fact that he offered to help a father and his son who were standing at the same counter. Literally ignored me even when I was talking to him, but could take the time from his busy schedule to offer help to others. Will not be returning to any JAX ever again.

2 boxes per caliber per customer I get it NP.But I asked 3 very valid questions and the guy gave same robotic answer even tho he was wrong because I verified their policy.How frustrating to ask very valid questions and get childishly condescending answers. Like he wasnt even listening to me.Real answer if you are curious: 2 boxes of same caliber ammo per visit/day per household/customer.What a brat the guy at the gun counter was.

Well stocked store. Hard to get attention in the shoe area when you need help. Once you get help, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I dont even know where to start, this place is amazing!! The selection is second to none and the service was hands down the best. The staff made sure you were taken care of and made you feel like family. Give these guys a try before you go to one of the big box stores and try to find anyone who can even fog a mirror much less answer you questions.

Not going to lie, was very disappointed with my last visit. Overall they have great products but it is disappointing to see the employees so nonchalant about safety during these times. Some employees had masks, but many had just bandanas, several just around their neck not even covering their face! I get the argument that their hardware and animal products makes this store essential but you’d figure they would care a bit more. Only a fraction of registers have shields up and the half the store doesn’t. Not to mention how rude the young guy helping in hardware was on top of it. Very disappointing over my usual experiences.

The employees at this store provide TERRIBLE customer service. I went to Jax on the weekend to get paint for my deck. I was told that no one was in who could help me with paint, and I should come back Tuesday. Today (Tuesday) I returned to the store and the one person (?) who knew the paint section wasnt in.... They had me wait while various employees were brought over and each one said they had no idea how to help. Finally, I got someone who used to work with paint, but she didnt know how to operate the machines in the store! She told me she was going to check her inventory and when she didnt come back for ages I went looking for her and she was helping another customer. I confronted her and she told me that shed confirmed they had my inventory, but she never came to tell me that!!!! This was a terrible experience, and not my first one at this store. I will never be returning.

Had many problems with my truck and many mechanics work it. Took it to Brian at Colorado car clinic is mechanics worked on it and have not had a problem since. Highly recommended. Price is reasonable service excellent and on time

Never again...I used to love Jax and thought they were expensive but figured the experience was pretty cool and I would pay a little more...then they removed all thin blue line apparel from their stores. I decided never again would I shop their but wasn’t ready to review them. I then went to Scheel’s in Johnstown/Loveland and the experience is way better, the prices are lower and the salespeople are extremely skilled in their areas. The fishing department at Scheels is amazing. Also Scheels is PRO American!

Great place for work pants. Price is slightly less than Cabelas. Everything is clean and organized. Plenty of parking. Staff is friendly. They have a selection of hot sauces and dips that I really enjoyed browsing, and buying. Plus a coffee bar with ice cream too!

Incredible place! Hardware section is very complete. Most importantly for me, they have sufficient quantities of each item, not just a dozen or (much) less like your average hardware store. All sections of store seem pretty complete. It would take hours just to quickly peruse the whole store. First impressions on prices are: low for hardware, high for clothing, average for most other things. To me, its a must-see kind of place. I will be going back often. Employees are very friendly and helpful.

This outdoors sport store has an amazing staff. We were here for a quick fish bait pick up but ended up browsing the store. Due to time constriction we had to leave but we will be back for sure.

I purchased a climbing helmet here wanting to shop locally vs giving money to Amazon, however after this experience, I will never be shopping here again and it’s very clear why competitors like REI and Amazon are putting them out of business.First, entering the store, it’s a mess. But, having worked retail myself for many years, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially during Covid times. I found a sales rep that took me to the helmets, found one that was ok, took it to the cashier, paid and left. After I got home, I talked to a friend who’s more experienced in climbing gear than I am, who recommended a different, newer helmet at the same price. I went to REI and sure enough, felt better and cheaper.I returned to Jax just a couple days later with my receipt (which mentions firearms and ammo cannot be returned only) and the two ladies at customer service were very polite in saying it’s normally not policy for them to take helmets back as it’s safety equipment that could be damaged. While I can understand and appreciate this, this was not listed anywhere on the receipt, nor mentioned by the original associate who sold it to me or the cashier. The two women called up a manager as the helmet was still in the original packaging, tags on and all. The manager came up and without even listening to what the situation was, said “absolutely not, no returns.”Now, while this is actually on the website after doing some research, the fact that nobody mentioned it at the time of purchase, it’s not on the receipt, and that the manager was unwilling to even look at the clearly unopened package before saying no is ridiculous. REI has a return policy that’s triple the time and guarantees satisfaction, period. I highly recommend giving them your business over Jax, a company that clearly only cares about getting your money that instant vs. building a long lasting customer base.UPDATE: After sending a complaint letter to the corporate office, I was contacted by Paula, the store manager at this location, who agreed to refund the helmet as the policy on the receipt is inaccurate and unclear. I am altering my original review of 1 star to 3.

This is my go-to spot for all things outdoors. I love supporting a Colorado grown business. Theyre clothes and fear is a little on the pricey side, but youre paying for quality products.

Ope manager was the worst he j ee absolutely nothing I had to go behind the counter and show him how to use the stihl breakdown to look up a carbourator if your a stihl dealer you should know what your doing but honestly maybe its not his fault maybe jax should pay for him to be trained properly

Great selection of shoes and clothes! I have only been here once so I am not sure of the customer service yet, it was just ok this first time. When I walked in I was looking for the patagonia clothes and the girl working there heard and directed me there, but pointed to the mens patagonia section. I am pretty sure I dont look like a man and when ahe said that I said, but I am a woman and she continued to point me to the mens section, it was really weird. Then when looking at shoes I was asking about a sale I saw online and was told it was a specific color of the shoe on sale and not all of that same shoe. The attendant rushed off to get the color that was on sale without even asking if I wanted them, I did not want the color that was on sale..
