Such a great man, helped me find what I was actually looking for. So old fashion π even took my measurements so I wouldnβt buy more than what I need it!! Highly recommend it :)
I was pretty disappointed today. I wanted some fabric but I wanted to see if I could buy it locally so I wouldnt have to wait for shipping time. I also thought there would be a benefit for being able to talk to the owner or an employee who would be able to direct me to what I wanted. I am looking for linen so after asking & the person directing me to what they had (which was very limited) I asked if he also had any fabric that had both cotton & linen content. His answer disappointed me. He said that was impossible because they are the same thing. Cotton & linen are two totally different plants that are processed very differently. Once I heard that I knew that I wasnt going to find what I wanted from this place. If you need basic fabric & the fabric content doesnt bother you then this is a good place to look but if youre looking for something specific like I was then I wouldnt trust this place to have what you need.
Such a friendly place found exactly what I was looking for.
Great selection of materials and personal attention by the owner (Juanito) who greets you.Why go anywhere else. Highly recommended!
Nice old school fabric store. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable.
The man who owns this store is so sweet. He explained everything about making a dress for me and he is so old fashion, he literally knows all about material and sewing. It was a pleasure speaking with him and hearing his stories. Very good prices for bolts of fabric and great quality. Just wish the parking spaces were more accommodating to his store.
Juan is the best, he is a true gentleman and his shop is a gem in downtown Brownsville. His staff is very helpful and always very welcoming, it is always a pleasure to do business with him.
Went in knowing exactly what I wanted & they knew exactly how to help. I needed a certain material & color, they didnt have the material but they provided others with the color I wanted. Amazing customer service
Vacationing on South Padre Island and since Im a quilter and seamstress I had to check out this store. Its not difficult to find but parking can be tricky since its the typical one-way streets of old downtown. We had to park a block or two away in metered parking. This place belies its storefront. Its much bigger inside with bolts and bolts of fabric to the ceiling and hundreds of standing decorator fabrics in large rolls. They have every imaginable fabric you could ever want including many basic notions. The owner Juan was very helpful, definitely knows his fabrics and even showed me his specialty fabrics from Persia, India, Egypt, etc for $100/yd. Wowza! He has been in business for 47 years. I highly recommend this store for all your sewing needs!
Great fabric store down town. Found what I needed for the project.
I have shopped here so many years. It was sad to find out the sweet lady the owner it passed away. Her son is the owner now . Very sweet man. Service good.
Didnt have up to date fabric. It was all old stock
She wanted $20 per yard on lycra!!! Never had solid color lycra priced so high. Highway robbery
You ask for a certain type of fabric and they give you a cheaper one at a higher price than the actual fabric you asked for. FRAUD
Juanito is really nice

Lot of outdated fabric
Rude ladies
