We just visited Walmart’s Auto Care center with some car troubles. Their customer service was great. Although the issue ended up being bigger than what they could fix, the staff were nice enough to diagnose the issue and offer advice on what parts we might need and where to take our car. Denise, David, and Mary were absolutely excellent. Some of the nicest people to help us out.

I had occasion today to visit their automotive department at the Brownwood, Texas Walmart Super Center, because of a problem I had with a relative new battery I had purchased there.This was my experience;1) When I arrived and pulled up to a non-lube bay, a representative met me outside and asked how he could help me. I explained the issue of the battery not holding a charge. They took my auto in right away to check the battery.2) They notified me, after a quick check, they had to put the battery on a machine to fully charge it and then do an extensive test.3) While the battery was charging, the technician informed me that one of the cable connectors was split at the base. I asked him to replace it for me.4) After the battery had completed charging and testing, I was informed the battery was defective and needed replacing.5) A new battery was installed and the technician brought the paperwork and keys to the counter person to check me out.6) Bottom line; battery replacement cost = No chargeCable ends replacement cost = $10.00 (parts and labor).Thats right, $10.00, TOTAL COST !And a bonus repair; My gas gauge indicator had been acting erratic for some time, even before the original battery replacement, which I had installed myself.I noticed on the way home the gas gauges seemed to be recording correctly! Apparently the defective battery connector was the original problem with the gas gauge. Had the technician not been diligent and thorough with his job, I would still be having the gas gauge issue.A BIG THANK YOU!, to the technicians that do not receive enough credit for the quality work ethic, they demonstrate while doing their jobs.
