I was very disappointed with their service and attitude. When shipping international (Canada) the sales staff was very dishonest. We agreed to a cost for shipping and I assumed it would be to my home. Instead of being honest and letting me know it was only to the border. I paid West Marine for shipping and received a Fed X bill 2 weeks later for $115.00, shipping turned out to be almost as much as my total merchandise. When I called to inquire got the standard I am sorry you feel that way! Wow, why would anyone purchase anything from this company?

Staff is not knowledgeable! I called for Boat Life polyurethane White caulk in the large tube. Drove 7 miles to find out they only had clear silicon. Tried to appease me by trying to sell their brand which did not say it was polyurethane. Waste of time!Today, I called to inquire about Nautolux vinyl marine flooring. It’s special order - understood. So I asked if they have samples of the actual product, was told yes. Drove their again, no Nautalux. They only had some other “knockoff” brand. They need to have staff that knows marine products!

Best West Marine store Ive been in. Great staff. Never keep you waiting. If they dont know it, theyll find out in a jiffy.Ive be in sales for 25yrs. Ive never met a better store manager at any retail store. Andy is kind, very knowledgeable and wonderful to everyone who walks through the door, women and men equally. West marine is lucky to have him. Really lucky.

I was referred to West Marine by the SAFE boating course. I was a little hesitant to go to a Marine store because I felt the prices would be higher because its a marine store. I had to get a part for my boat and I really didnt want the run around. I stopped in and everyone was so helpful. They got me exactly what I needed and I felt like I was their only customer. The prices were reasonably lower than anywhere else. The customer service was outstanding. I would highly recommend stopping in the store for the things you need for your boat. Its nice to just stop andlook around for new ideas. I went in for one part and walked out with a car full of exciting boating gear for the new season. I will only go here from now on and I highly recommend this store to everyone.

Unreasonably expensive!

The worst experience I ever had, bought a pelican cooler and the product was aftermarket, not original straight from west marine store ., so if any body want to buy same brand cooler please do your homework before you spend over $500.00 dollars on cooler., I did compare from different store same product and it’s completely different., very bad experience, terrible company., and very horrible customer service ( management) …

Despite a sign on the door requiring masks, they allowed two guys to walk in without them. One cashier had no mask and one covered his mouth only. They displayed a total lack of respect for their customers. I will find another vendor in the future.

I had a great experience at this store. Even though the $40 rebate on bottom paint had just expired, the store manager (Andy) took $40 off the price. Hes the nicest guy and is interested in the customers and there boats.

Super friendly and accommodating I called for a 9.4 plastic dinghy that retails anywhere else for $1,000 on the off chance of locating one locally and they happened to have one in stock for 599.00 great experience!

I called ahead for a gel coat repair kit. They told me on the phone with a ridiculous level indifference that they didnt have the kit I was looking for without checking their stock and only had a different/inferior product. I went there to purchase the inferior product just to get by as I had plans coming faster than I could get on- line. Low and behold when I got there they actually had what I asked for in the first place. The person that originally fielded my call was on another call visibly annoyed at the caller she was talking with. With brick and morter businesses folding almost daily to internet monsters like Amazon and Ebay I would highly reccomend reconsidering your level of service. I for one wont be back.

I try to ask someone a question and the guy just walked away and never came pack. I guess he dint know the answer. All I needed was a solenoid for my starter.

Lots of inventory and friendly staff...but West Marines prices are always high. They say they price match which is great but that just makes work for me!

Needed 2 trailer tires. They only had one in stock but ordered the second for me. Prices are a little high but than again they are the only marine store around the area.

This place sucks. Called ahead of time for my jet ski parts said they had them drove there and they didnt have them. Cashier was eating French fries and guy that tried to help me had no clue on the parts they had or any knowledge about jet skis. Dont waste ur time go somewhere else. I went to don Georges they have good customer service!!

Pros: Very helpful staff. They usually have what I am looking for. Convienient location.Cons: They can be expensive compared to C-Me Marine sales and other stores.

I can NEVER find anything I need !Simple things like Roll Off cleaner. Canal map, deck chairs the list goes on. For many years I have found hardly anything on my shopping list. They closed the Syracuse NY location. Do they expect me to drive to Rochester or Buffalo ? Which I have done, but No More! And No More catalogs which I have used faithfully for years.Thank God for Amazon!!
