They are in a new location with the same bad service. They are open only two days a week and did not manage that a few weeks ago when they were closed on a Saturday. They also constantly cancel and reschedule claim sales from their regularly scheduled dates. Poor customer service. Poor time management. Poor excuse for a comic book store.
A small little hidden gem among all the boring stores on magnolia. It was a very fun location, I could tell that alot of time and care was put into the store. Dont be persuaded by negative reviews. Its a nice little comic book shop. There is no point in always focusing on the negative. 10/10 for Black Cat Comics.
I have been a customer of black cat comics for a few months now. When I first started coming I was recommended by a friend from work. I have had mixed experiences at comic book stores. What made me love this little store was the friendliness of the staff. I believe there are no more than 4 people Ive seen work there including the owners. They have all been more than helpful and patient for some one who has so many questions! They always remember their customers (or at least make you feel that way) every time I have visited. I attended the Cosplay Comedy event with my husband and had a great time! The cosplay was cheesy but perfect for a comedy event. All in all Black Cat is my go to store for new books, trades, and they even ordered in books they dont carry in the store for me. For any one who is visiting Magnolia Park this store is a must! perfect for all kinds of nerds new and old!I have seen this store grow every time I stop in. There is now a larger area of the store open in the back with more comic art, toys, and comic themed furniture! I have seen a lot of stores come and go in Burbank but this store has already made a great impression with the local residences and families. Great fit to Magnolia Park in Burbank!
Great little comic and collectible store! Perfect place to look around for a unique gift (especially to yourself!). Highly reccomended!
Best comic shop in town! The owner has so much integrity in a business where some can do shady stuff to sell comics for more $.
Closed for good. Building is empty and the signage is off the door. The worst comic shop in Burbank has left the building.
Great service, owners are very friendly and helpful. Not a local but willing to drive here for the service, since they help with any question and help me get what Im looking for.
What a great comic shop! The owners are amazing, and the vibe is totally chill. Its everything a local comic book shop should be, theyve got deep issues, cool collectables, and knowledgeable owners. 👍😊💖☮️
Ive been going here for a while now its a great place theyre super helpful. When youre looking for specific issues they make sure to keep an eye out for you. Its a cool place and everyone is super friendly. Definitely one of my favorite shops!
This store used to be a 4 or 5 rating but it has dropped to a 1. Used to be a cool shop with furniture and artwork that made it stand out on the street. It now has the appearance of a flea market with overpriced toys randomly hung in the store and slacker employees.Just another example of the disappearing magic of Magnolia Blvd in Burbank. Hard pass on this store.
A cute little comic shop. They have a decent selection of a variety of comics. They also have a lot of old toys, movies, and memorabilia. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a nice little shop to permuse. The staff is helpful as well, they are very knowledgeable about comics and will tell you everything you need to know.
Came by today with my parents from out of town. My dad didnt want to go in because the door was closed so he didnt think they were open. The guy working the counter said the door was closed to keep the air conditioning in (it is 75 degrees today so it is not hot). He also seem annoyed that we interrupted some video he was watching.Went to the back of the store where a pleasant guy was working. My mom came in (she also thought they were closed because of the door being shut) and was not even acknowledged in the front. The guy in the back asked them where they were from and she felt welcomed by him.If I could the give the back five stars and the front one star, I would. I wont be back anytime soon. Rude cashier makes me go to another store.
This is a great comic book and collectible store. Theyre always friendly and will help find/order a title they might not have available. Great location on Magnolia, always parking available.
Nice little shop with a small selection of new DC/Marvel books, back issue bins, and older action figures. Its the type of shop where youre likely to find that random book or figure youve been looking for. Ill be back next time Im in town. Also I really cant believe that people complain about the door being open or closed, must be a California thing...smh
Very cool shop - lots of collectible stuff & good comics selection. They alsohave a decent LP vinyl rack to browse through - who knows? You might get lucky & score on that hidden treasure you may have been looking for! Friendly staff too!
They say the third time is the charm and my third time here was my last time. A comic store in name only. Each time I came in asking for a certain book, I didnt find it thanks to their small selection. Lots of companies and titles they dont bother to stock.More of a used toy store that happens to sell some comics.
Great place for comics and pop culture pieces. Very helpful and enthusiastic staff. Mark and Dana were very welcoming and were happy to assist with whatever was needed.
Thanks for the reply but I stand by my review. I have been to your store multiple times and find the closed door to be the exception rather than the rule on Magnolia. I guess youd rather be comfortable than seem open and inviting.
Very cool comic book store. I had a great experience. Cant wait to go back.
Very nice and friendly. Great customer service
Super easy-going and knowledgeable staff. Found my new friendly neighborhood comic book store.
The adventure there was amazing and black cat comics has a lot of lmaganation and magic. Cant wait to go back.

Pretty cool place. Small but has a lot to offer .
Great little comic and collectible shop in heart of Burbank would recommend checking it out !
Awesome shop full of comics and collectables. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
#1 spot of all your comic needs well worth stopping by and checking it out
Great selection of titles, vintage toys, and friendly staff! Will stop by again soon.
Burbank is home to multiple comic shops and this is the lesser of the choices. Small selection of new books and almost no graphic novels. The choice when there are no other choices when buying books.
Nice little comic book store.
New to the neighborhood and made my first visit today to get some books. I walked out after 2 or 3 minutes because the entire place smells like cat piss. If they do have a black cat as their names says, they need to invest in air fresheners. Wont be back.
Great selection of collectibles and used books.
Went by this morning to get some books for my children and they were closed. This is after I went by last Wednesday to get the comics released that day and they were closed both times I went by the store.Either they are out of business or dont care enough to be open to stay in business.Hard pass.
Kind of a dump inside. Very messy.
Awesome little shop
Interesting collection
More collectibles then comics.
Small but mighty
Nice
