Im so happy that there is a market like this in Burien now. The selection is great. Produce is very nice although slightly limited. Beer is on the expensive side. Most items are reasonably priced. Hispanic section is good except there are not many different types of powdered chili peppers. Asian sauces are plentiful.My new regular grocery store. Happy to have alternatives to the big S and FM. Pricing is quite odd. Mostly competitive. However, some things are way overpriced. No real pattern for it., 6.99 for a case of Costco water? 12.99 for 6pack of domestic beer? 3.49 for chips that are 2.00 every where else? I still shop there. Just pay attention so you dont pay more/

Was very excited when this first open everything was very clean now it seems as when I go there to seafood department has a lot to be desired as you walk in you can smell the not fresh seafood I think if it go here you are taking your chance you have to ask yourself do you feel lucky

I have visited this Asian Grocery Market twice now. Nice variety of snack foods, rice chips, candies, hard candy including my favorite XO classic coffee candy. Have great selection of beef, pork, chicken, and fresh fish on ice. They had the most beautiful looking live shrimp Ive ever seen at any Asian market. It was clean and spacious. And staff was friendly, and answered questions I had. Also nice selection of household kitchen items. Like rice cookers like Tiger 🐯 like the one I own. Great rice cooker. Many kinds of soy sauces and other sauces, to make a great Asian inspired dinner. I will definitely visit again soon. If you havent checked them out, you most check them out. 🐟🐖🐔🥒

Updating my review .. it was an accident I gave one star before.. I highly recommend this place if you dont want to leave the West Seattle land to International District for Asian grocery. Their store has all the Asian stuff you need with reasonable price. The store is clean and spacious.

We went there day before Thanksgiving, we really enjoyed. Organized! Good prices and good selection. Customer service was good. We will be back soon! 👍👍👍😊😊

Wow, what a cool place! Super clean and organized. Prices are reasonable and the seafood department is maintained to high standards. Alot of competition in the area for Asian markets. This place stands out for sure.

Selection of meats, chicken, fish and vegetables are Great!! Live talapia, bass, crab, mussels etc. Nice clean friendly place!! Definitely adding it to my places to shop!!

I tell ya this store is something. It’s so great to we have such a market with many things others don’t have but what really caught my attention was the bad management. Every time I go in those cashiers look like they don’t enjoy their job, some times there’s only one cashier available and huge lines of customers. I think they need more cashiers or reliable workers perhaps. I like to go in and get out I don’t like waiting in big lines. As for some of the cashiers they are great there’s a few who definitely deserve a raise for their hard work, makes my experience a lot better when I go in. But please work on your management and getting more cashiers it seems very unorganized

Great selection and prices. Customer service at the hot food was poor though. Not even acknowledged after standing there for 5 minutes. Wanted to get some Thai Tea and some hot food for lunch. We just purchased our items with the check out cashier and left.

Great selection of fresh produce and quality butchered meat--and seeing the live fish for sale reminded me of the fresh lobster and crab I would see for sale as a kid! Widely spaced rows, and easy to navigate aisles, made this a fun experience. Definitely couldnt resist buying some of the boba milk tea and candy, either. Cant wait to return and try more things!

I very much like this grocery store! I bought nice soup spoons and bowls to have soups in! They also have quite a variety of produce. Already cut jackfruit!

I love this place!! The staff is all so friendly, I’ve been shopping here several times already and will keep coming back. The prices are great, all the specialty items I used to only find at Whole Foods or pcc and WAY over pay for are now so cheap and easy to find here. The seafood department is well stocked, And priced very competitively. So glad to have an awesome Asian market so close to home!!

This store is going to be incredible! Opens the 23rd. They have 2 other stores in Kent and Federal Way. Both are great. Meat and produce are fresh and VERY competitively priced. Alice, you should change your 1-star rating. Your reasoning is a tad ridiculous. How do you justify giving a place a 1-star when you’ve never been there. That’s not fair.

Grilled pork bahn mi was the best Ive had in a long time. Sandwich was packed full of premium content. Friendly and attentive staff. Fast service. Will be back again soon.

Great brand new Asian food store in Burien. They had a couple of things I had been looking for, for some time now. Stuff was easy to find, store well organized and spacious and very reasonable prices. No more trips to Chinatown I/D for me, except for great restaurants.

I am really starting to like that store. Love produce, they have so many things our traditional grocery stores just dont have.

Nice clean store. Selections are great and staff is friendly. Stoped the stars to 3. Store is still clean and staff is great, but I purchased two types of beef. Both were poor quality both for tough and hard to chew. Not sure what grade the beef was but it did not seem the same quality as regular supermarket beef. Not sure if it was just a bad batch. I will go back but not for the meat.

The store is very clean and organized, hoping to see more Asian snacks, frozen food and instant noodles selections. Overall, really great shopping experience.

Clean grocery stores and the meat and seafood selections are very nice/diverse/fresh. The varieties are impressive. The small café inside this market has a nice Vietnamese sandwich and a freshly made Chinese roasted BBQ pork and duck.

The store itself is great. The customer service however is terrible. The lasy behind the Asian xpress counter didnt even acknowledge our existence after ten mins of waiting to order with no one else on line. Terrible staff.

Got here grand opening day, and all their employees are not even greeting customers and avoid eye contact. The lack of customer service is quite baffling. The moment the door opened, one of the employees waved people in like dogs and then walked back into the store. Ive been to plenty of grand openings for Asian markets/restaurants, and this is the most bizarre one. I know this is an Asian store and customer service is not always a priority but come on - its grand opening day!The markets selections are not that great. The deli seems decent enough with the ducks and we bought one. Taste good but just a bit bland and hence why I didnt give this place 1 star.Will I go back? Probably not. At least Waynes Market is friendlier and theyve been trying to freshen up the look inside too due to this new competitor in town.I was really excited many months now for a new Asian market in Burien. But it looks like for nice customer service and large selections, I will still go to Lams Seafood Market in Tukwila or even 99 Ranch Market in Kent. So Disappointed.

New store. Employees were friendly and helpful. All were wearing masks & keeping an appropriate distance. They have live tanks! Live Dungeness crab! Live clams. I want to say live tilapia tank also but I was too interested in the crab. Lots of seafood choices- fresh, smoked, frozen. & then I wandered the fruits & vegetables. Fresh okra, raw peanuts in the shell. I have a friend from Louisiana who will be excited to hear that!

This is a brand new market in Burien and the seafood selection is fresh unbelievable. Everything from fresh live blue crab and a wide variety of fish shrimp clams mussels oysters you name it. They have Dungeness crab live in the tank, I was able to buy a cooked Dungeness crab for $5.99 each.

I am in Seattle visiting and I noticed your store so I purchased fresh seafood and my only complaint was I waited 20 minutes to get service because there was only one person working otherwise I think your store is nice and clean with great prices.

The fresh vegetables have no name,why? I needed fresh basil,oregano but the little produce bags had no name

Most of the cashiers are playing on their cell phone, I have to wait till they finished phone and angry porker face. I live close by and am almost there 3 times a week, so far never heard “thank you “ from anyone except meat department guy!

Beautiful market very neat, but the problem their cashier, they don’t know how to greet costumers, their on their cell phone just standing doing nothing...you guys need to change those young ladies cashier, they don’t do their job right..that’s why not to much people come there !! Is a waste for a new store!!

Im hapa and our household is Korean and Japanese. I will still continue to support our businesses in Fed Way and Seattle, but this place is an amazing asset to the community of Burien. Its a great in-between for many dry items and produce, and provides everything we need in terms of fresh seafood and other meats. Also a very large inventory of frozen essentials for many of our communities. They even have imported Frozen durian of excellent quality. BUT ITS FROZEN! Yes, how the heck do you think top notch durien gets here?This place is amazing, I really mean it. I truly hope they maintain this quality moving forward. I will support this business for my local community, as it is a win for us. Please, to the management and owners, I know that it can take a while to establish a place but please do not play a balancing game with us as a community and start lowering the quality that youve opened up with. That quality is what will gain patronage from this community. You have my familys patronage right now. The only way to lose it is to lower the standards that you have already put in place. Maintain what youre doing.

It is great to have this store in Burien so I don’t have to drive over or up to Uwajimaya’s! They have a wide selection of items including tapioca pearls (to make bubble tea), rice noodles and sauces to make pad thai, lots of flavors of mochi ice cream, ceramic soup spoons and bowls, chop sticks and Thai iced tea bags. Definitely going here often!

Bought 2 live crab. Not inexpensive and each was missing one claw. Sad that we didnt think to check before we left the store.

My first visit to the new HKM in Burien. It is the perfect store for that location and the community. It is like a smaller version of HMart. It is clean and lots of variety! What I will be trying very soon is their fish selection. The standard grocery stores in the area fish counters do not inspire me. I am looking forward to eat Im ng more seafood! Loving this market on my first visit!
