To make a long story short. I had a check engine light come on. ORileys told me a O2 Sensor. The same thing Burk Light Truck told me.Quoted me $800.00. I called my regular mechanic in Wichita, they quoted me $300 less for same exact parts from same distributer.Since, I moved to Burk; I wanted to help local businesses. I have one car that always needs a mechanic.It gets worse, I told Burk Light Truck that I will pick up my truck and have my guy in WF do it. Apparently, I owed $100 for a diagnostic charge. A charge I was not made aware of. They lost my business forever for $100.00 that I was told nothing about.My guy in Wichita found out it was a 20amp fuse, not O2 sensors. So, I could have paid Burk Light Truck the $800 and still have a issue with a $.50 fuse they did not catch.Be careful of Burk Light Truck.

These guys are legendary. We were road tripping from Kansas to Lubbock and my alternator decided it wasnt up for the 8 hour challenge. Thankfully, we were approaching Burkburnett and caught Perry and team moments before they were walking out the door on a Friday at 5 PM. They saved our weekend and our ability to witness the #1 ranked Kansas Jayhawks win their final game of the 2019-2020 season (who knew?). We will forever be grateful for their incredible hospitality and speedy work so we were back on the road without too much of a delay.

These guys are great! I live in Wichita Falls, but I always take my cars to Burkburnett to have Perry and the gang work on them. I appreciate how they take the time to explain what is wrong, how theyll fix it, how long it will take, and how much it will cost. I trust them fully. I can not speak highly enough about this place!! After not having an a/c unit or defrost for a few Texas summers and winters now, I was recommended this wonderful shop to take my car. Not only did it take only two days to do a complete a/c replacement that I needed, the cost was very reasonable. They answered every question along the way and explain everything, they were even open to showing me physically what they were doing (as I am pretty protective about my car). They were extremely nice and friendly and talked with me as if we had known each other for years and I can say these are now my go to guys. I can truly say I trust all of their work and will be going back if i ever need anything else done. With a great working a/c, Ive never felt cooler in my Mustang GT!!

I am so thankful for Harold and Robert! They fixed my pickup in less than 30 minutes! I had the same part replaced a little over a year ago in another town and it took 2 days. They are extremely nice and friendly and very knowledgeable! They were able to diagnose and quote me a price and timetable to fix two other problems that Ive been dealing with for a long time and had chosen not to fix. I was paid up and back on the road by 9am! I will definitely be taking my truck back to them for more work soon! Extremely satisfied!!!

Finding myself with a powerless drivers window and unable to shut it, I asked one of my colleagues at Sheppard AFB for a recommendation. Burk Light Truck and Auto was suggested, so I called them. They let me drop the car off, and it was repaired in 24 hours. Each person was notably friendly and genuinely focused on customer service. When it was all said and done, I left feeling like there had not been a problem at all.

We had an issue with a customers car(striped drain plug, and totally our fault). Instead of showing us and the customer any courtesy at all, Harold charged the minimum 1 hour charge because of the use of pliers.... Yes that is correct, it took very little actual time to break it loose (under 5 minutes im sure) and they charged us over 80 dollars for it. Harold just laughed over me when I told him that was way over priced for the job. Very nice Harold. So instead of maybe explaining that there was more involved or something he just laughed. So naturally I paid his over priced bill to make sure my customer was satisfied. He obviously wasnt going to do much about explanations or drop his price.....Just laughed over me!How frustrating!My shop would never treat anyone this way, especial another shop when there is a SIMPLE mistake to remedy. I hope our mutual customer was taken care of but somehow i doubt it.Beware of a shop that will charge an hour for the simplest task. This is not standard practice and should not be taken as such. Hopefully there are other options in Burkburnett, TX that practice better business strategies. Because gouging every out of towner that walks through the door is not a business plan for longevity.There is no need to follow up with me at this point Burk Light Truck and Auto.. I have conceded as you wanted and all i can do is try and warn others.*****Update!Wayne Methvin (Owner of Burk light truck) reached out to me today. He explained that he was out sick for the last few days and he just read my review. He is an example of whats right in the industry when things dont go exactly as planned. I think he was very sincere in finding a resolution with myself and most importantly our mutual customer. I am very happy with how he followed up with myself, the customer and finally Harold (the service writer who treated me with less than satisfactory service). His service writer was following his protocol with the absence of the owner. This is a call that he may not have been able to make without the owner. I am satisfied that the manner in which i was treated will not happen to anyone else after speaking with Wayne.I have completely made a 360 with my outlook of Burke Light Truck and Auto and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is in the area.Thank you Wayne for restoring my faith in humanity!
