If I could give 0 stars I would I’ve been trying to get in contact with the service department for over a month they claim they will call me back to update me on when they could finish a service they left halfway on my vehicle and I’ve been waiting for over a month. When I manage to get on the phone with them they hang up like if they are avoiding fixing the issue on my car. It’s been horrible since I started going there.
I brought my car in for a air bag recall when I got it back it kept loosing power, my radio was acting up and the bezal around the radio and cluster would not snap in to place. Before I brought it for the recall there was no problem at all. I brought it back and they fixed the loosing power but they denied touching the radio. I brought it home pulled the bezal off and notice there were screws missing and the bezal was broken. Do not do business with this service department
I worked with Karl Jensen and he was BY FAR the most helpful sales person I was able to find. I called all over the country to get exactly what I wanted, and I would have saved a ton of time and headache if I would have found Karl first. I highly recommend this professional. Putnams service department cant seem to figure out how to call you back when you contact them. I have been waiting for months for them to return my calls about a warranty issue we are having. Ive followed up with them multiple times and, every time, Im assured they will call me back. No one ever does though. We even purchased our vehicle from Putnam so its disappointing that weve continued to get the runaround from them after spending so much money here. Furthermore, when weve taken our Jeep in for basic service (e.g. oil changes and tire rotations), every time there has been an issue with their service department (e.g. saying they did things but didnt actually do them). Im not sure how they treat their customers like this and are able to stay in business.
Purchased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK from Scot at Putnam. They had the exact model I was looking for in stock! We made some special requests with regard to decal removal and detailing and Scot went above and beyond to ensure every detail exceeded our expectations. I have sold used cars hear at Putnam Automotive for 16 years, and I have never experienced someone like Yolanda Bulnes. At no time did I disrespect or ignore her concerns. Her accusation that I told her I am to busy to talk to you is just not true. Each of our many conversations were conducted in a professional manner. I wish her the best!

We went to this place to have our car checked to prep for cross-state travel. After they saw our car, they only said that one tire needs to be changed (which we already knew). We went on our trip and one of the front tire blew before we even left the state. We placed our trust in this shop only for them to put our lives in danger. We paid for their services and thats what we got!
I dont trust this service department. Went in to have an item repaired and noticed the windshield sprayers were no longer working. The service department said the pumps and hoses all need to be replaced.I opened the hood when i got home and saw that a hose was simply not connected. Reconnected it and its fine. It is not clear they were either too lazy to actually look or were trying to fleece me/corporate for additional money.I recommend going elsewhere for service.
Scot Eichenbaum is the man!Things were getting challenging for me, we were going back and fourth trying to find a car that could make sense for my budget and my work lifestyle. Suddenly I get a call from Scot about a car that just came on the lot. I came over and took the car for a little drive and I knew It was the one but I was worried that I may not be qualified to make the purchase. Scot and his team ran the numbers and were able to make it happen!Scot is a magican, I don’t know how he does it.He is patient, caring, funny and very good at what he does. When ever I need my car worked on/ checkup I only come to this location because of how friendly and kind they are to their customers. Ive been coming here for the last 5 years and have never had a problem. On my most recent car drop off for an oil change on July 14th with all of this covid going on the staff was GREAT! Everyone was wearing a mask and a lady came took my car sprayed the handles and wrapped the drivers seat as well as the steering wheel with a plastic cover. I was really happy to see this and that they are taking things seriously. Will forsure be back!

It was a rainy Sunday and wanted to get out of the house. After looking online, I saw that Putnam just listed a Forester in the color I was looking for so I visited to the dealership. Found the car on the lot and after a few minutes a brave sales person came over. He introduced himself as Rick and in no time went on a test drive. Rick was not pushy or presumptive. We talked about the car and told him I would think about it. I ended calling him back within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership and told him to start the paperwork. The transaction was fast and smooth.Quite honestly if it werent for Rick this review would be quite different. I wont go into detail but in every instance Rick was very communicative and helpful. He takes ownership of the transaction and will do anything within his powers to make you feel like a valued customer. I would not hesitate recommending Rick to any of my friends and family. Rick is SOLID!
The entire team at Putnam Chrysler was great! On the service side of things, Scot truly went above and beyond the call of duty! In our case the exact vehicle/trim we settled on was not on the lot. Scot quickly located a nearby dealer, arranged the transfer (w/ no hidden fees), and got it delivered to Putnam in less than 24 hours, coming in *on his day off* to give us the car! On the finance side of things, Scot was very forward and easy to work as we settled on a deal. Thereafter, Andy did a marvelous job setting up our loan/paperwork and explaining the process to us. Got my 2017 Jeep Wrangler from Scot. It was my first time buying a car and it was great. Scot made everything extremely easy and quick. He fully understand what I am looking for without asking. I have bought three cars from Putnam Dodge, specifically from Scot Eichenbaum. All I ever hear from Scot is “yes, we can do that for you” or “yes, we can help” or “I’m so glad we made you happy”. Scot has set the standard for customer service for us and a high standard that is. Scot does not limit himself just to the sale of the car either; he maintains a relationship with you long past the initial sale. Recently I needed an expensive damage repair which I did not know was covered under my extended warranty. A quick call to Scot and he investigated, acted and resolved the issue for me and, most importantly, saved me $1000! This was completely outside of the scope of his responsibility but Scot does not see those limitations. When you buy a car from Putnam Dodge you have bought a relationship!Because I have bought three cars from Putnam Dodge, I have dealt with their finance department three times. Each time I worked with Cartier Lee. I cannot say I was ever treated with more respect, professional knowledge or courtesy than when I worked with Cartier. This gentleman knows his business. I never had to haggle with finance when Cartier was on the job, as I have had to at other car dealerships. I knew he was providing me with the best plan, the best rates, and the best options. Cartier makes a potentially stressful situation completely stress free because I can trust him implicitly.

Made an appointment weeks ahead to get the recalls done on my vehicle. Turn in car, next day I get a call they didnt have the parts to do the recall but they changed my oil even though I told them i just did so weeks before.We will call you when the parts come3 weeks later im calling THEM asking what happenedThe man on the phone was very nice put me on hold while he was getting the information about my vehicle. After about 7 minutes he said Let me call you back so you are not waitingNever got a return call.Edit: I called back on the week of June 25th and left a message as no one was available on a Saturday, its August 6th now, still waiting
10/4/2019 Update on my previous reviewIm changing my review given the subsequent events after buying my new jeep wrangler just a few weeks ago.When I bought my brand new car, the sales guy didnt bother to mention that there was a recall on the vehicle due to issues with the wobble of death. As soon as I took my new car on the road I started to experience serious issues with this compromising my safety on the road. Within less than 48 hours the car was back at the dealer for repairs!Although it was repaired, Im mad at this because knowing this would have given me leverage to negotiate the price. Obviously they failed to disclose this information for this very same purpose... In addition to this, I called, e-mailed and texted the general manager there to make a complaint and he hasnt even bothered to acknowledge me. Similarly, the sales rep, agreed to contact me back on this and its now been a few weeks without hearing from them.Im left feeling ripped off and unhappy from buying there...Other places offer better customer service.... Id recommend you try other dealers...
Recently purchased a used 2017 Subaru Crosstrek from this location and am very pleased with my experience. Tawar did an excellent job talking about the vehicle and letting my test drive and Josh was pleasant to speak with finalizing the details. Although I did not purchase my 2015 Cherokee from Putnam, their staff always treats me as if I did. Everyone in the service dept that I have dealt with since 2016 has not only been very professional, but they’ve also been spectacular at setting clear expectations (regarding the vehicle issue, repair costs, and the time needed to complete the service). Waiting area is clean with plenty of outlets for your devices and fresh fruit next to the coffee station is a nice touch.

We bought a Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Putnam Jeep this week. They couldnt have made it easier or more efficient. Scott was great in helping us. We reviewed for him what we wanted in the vehicle. While they didnt have one in stock, he was able to obtain one within a day from another dealer. The deal was great and we picked up the car the next day. Less than an hour to get all the paperwork done and walk through how the car worked before we drove it off the lot.

We came up from San Jose because we were looking for a specific car. We have had unfortunate experience with car dealers and sales people in the past so we were skeptical. However our experience at Putnam changed our minds. Dantes our sales man was great. I found him to be genuine, friendly and have integrity which was refreshing. There was a couple small things he said they would take care of but it was not in writing and he totally followed through. Impressive! Then the finance guy Raj bent over backwards to get us the financing we needed to make this happen. Our overall experience here was very good. I would recommend this dealership to any of my friends. You cant do much better than Putnam. My wife and I have bought two consecutive cars from them (the first from the GM dealer across the street, the second about a week ago from this very Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge dealer). So far, zero complaints.We shopped around quite a bit last weekend and must have seen at least 10 cars, spoken with 8-10 different salesmen and managers, and nobody we met even held a candle to the service we received at the experienced hands of Rick Farrell at Putnam.Salespeople at other dealers are cheap, young people who dont know the cars theyre selling (and often admit it), and their managers dont know much better. They seem eager to make a sale, rather than to sell a good product.Rick was completely different. He knew the car (a 2011 Mazda 3) inside and out. He guided our test drive, instructing us to test it in reverse, at high/low speeds, over bumps, and in a variety of other ways so that we could tell he wasnt trying to pull a fast one. His insistence that this is a one-price shop didnt play well with me (Rick, Im sure youll be reading this, and Im sorry, but I still dont believe theres really such a thing as a one-price car dealer), but there was no arguing with his wealth of knowledge and expertise. Our experience with Rick and Putnam was overwhelmingly positive, and when we are looking to add a second car to our home, we will most certainly return.

Since the service department at Putnam Chrysler had always been so nice and helpful, we decided to meet with Scot to see what he had to offer. It was as pleasant an experience as buying a new car can be. Scot got us every discount/rebate he could and worked a lot of options to get to a point where we could afford to move into a new Pacifica. David, their tech guru was very pleasant in explaining all of the new fancy extras that had been added to cars since 07, and we know the service dept is excellent, so we are looking forward to many years of satisfied driving. The worst experience ever and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They charge my cousin $600 for a battery and half of that amount was labor to put the battery in. Then Julius said he can get to it on Tuesday like he was doing us a favor, if I can give them a negative rating I would.

Went to the used car lot to look at Maxima. Got there a little early (about 10 minutes), looked around found the car and not one person said well be open in a few minutes and well help you. No the salesman waited until we went to our car then came out of his hiding place and looked right at us. Came back to test drive car and it had issues. The salesman didnt know the first thing about what he was selling. After test drive looked under the hood and a missing part of the suspension (strut brace). Was told that he would check on missing piece and get back to me. Well he calls the next day and says he checked with Nissan and they have not put that part on that car ever. Well he was wrong since I didnt tell him I was the owner of a 2016 Maxima SR and I know that part belongs on that car. Know what youre selling because sometimes the people know what they are buying.

Got my used Leaf here - generally great guys but they have a policy of not budging on used prices! Considering the price I saw (and paid) was the best price anywhere Id researched, I guess thats not bad. Its like a restaurant that doesnt allow tipping. Theyre paying their waiters right already - and in the case of Putnam, the price is already real sweet.I still cant get over my sour experience of dealerships in the past, but these guys did a great job overall. Marcus helped me out all along the way. I asked for a Pepsi, I got a Pepsi. I wanted a car, I got a car. Consider me pleased.
I was in the market for a new Jeep wrangler and was referred to Scot Eichenbaum at Putnam Chrysler Jeep Dodge by a family friend. Scot is a true sales professional who talks straight and doesnt put on the pressure to make a sale. I described what I was looking for and what my budget was and he worked with me to sort through their stock to find what was my best fit. Let me start off by saying, I was not originally in the market to buy a Jeep from Putnam Chrysler Jeep Dodge. I had the misconception that buying a Jeep was going to be way out of my budget, so when I went to the dealership I figured that the only vehicle from the Jeep line up I was able to afford was the Patriot which for the base model which didnt have the features I wanted. I was not in immediate need for a new car at the time I went to the dealership, and was not planning on buying the Patriot the same day. As soon as I walked on the lot, I was greeted by Peter Thai and he asked me what I was looking for in a vehicle. I told Peter that I was looking for a Patriot, he asked me why I wanted that particular model and I gave him some generic answer because I really didnt know about the model other than it looked good and was about the size of car that I wanted. He did a little investigative work and found what I wanted in the car, and what I didnt want or need. After I told him exactly what features, engine size/ mpg, package ect., he said follow me and took me to a Jeep Cherokee Sport. We took it on a test drive and I was more than excited, I wanted this car everything felt right. We drove it to the dealership discussed the price, which was way way way lower than I had anticipated, I took Peters card and told him we would be in touch. I immediately drove home and began researching prices of the Cherokee and looked to see if I could find one cheaper, I couldnt ( not even used with less than 50,000 miles ) I was shocked, for once I didnt feel like a car salesman was trying to get over on me or that I was being taken advantage of. I felt like Peter genuinely wanted do right by the customer, he respected my budget and didnt try to sell me something I couldnt afford to up commission, he respected what I thought was important to get included and gave me an excellent deal on what I needed to have installed to make my dream car a reality, but most importantly he respected me as a customer and was not pushy or overbearing at all throughout my whole experience and has continued to help me out even after I bought the car because to him customer satisfaction comes first and as a customer I really appreciate that and that is how you get repeat customers. If you are in the market for a Jeep, drop by Putnam Chrysler Jeep Dodge and see Peter Thai. Out of the dozens and dozens of car salesman out there that I have dealt with he is the guy that is going to put you the customer ahead of his commission.
Beginning with my Salesperson Randy and Fleet Manager Scott my experience was a welcome breath of fresh air for someone usually dreading walking onto a car sales lot. There was no pressure, only sincere help in getting the best car for me even if it was from a competitor. Cartier, the director of finance made decisions about warranties and financing easy. He made good suggestions rather than sales pitches. Walking out I felt confident my purchases were the right ones for me. Thank you for making buying a car exciting again!
Went in looking for a cheap and reliable used car, and Rick was very helpful throughout the process. He took me out on a thorough drive to ensure there were no problems, and upon us discovering an issue with the transmission ensured that it was immediately repaired at no cost to me before I purchased it (he also cleaned out some windscreen chips and bumper scratches). Would recommend to anybody looking for a professional, reliable used car dealership!

This is what you get when a Volvo dealership with a very high rating (search maps for Putnam Volvo) takes up the Chrysler/Dodge brand. Day and night compared to other Bay Area dealerships (many now out of business).Very quick to take the car, as well as to finish. Very polite, understanding and friendly. Highly recommend!

I have nothing but the best things to say about this place in general and in particular about Randy Lin. From the moment we stepped in we received the best customer service and felt Randy genuinely wanted to help us find our car :) He took the time to walk us through all the different options he had for us and gave us time to digest it and talk it amongst ourselves (my husband and I). At no point, we felt cornered or tricked into making a rushed decision which we truly appreciate, especially coming from a very bad experience at Stewart Jeep Dodge in Colma. Was looking to purchase a specific type of Jeep Wrangler at a great price. I dealt with a couple other dealers before and the sales guys always seemed so pushy and more interested in putting me in just any Jeep rather than the one I wanted.
