Super cute gift store, definitely one of the funkier ones on Church St. Theres something for everyone here. They have a great selection of plants (and seems like the plant store next to this may be owned by the same people), and lots of gift items. Its a very small store and is very crowded on the weekends, so definitely recommend going on a weekday if you can.
I used to really enjoy this store, until I had two bad experiences with Lynn, who is the owners mom. She knew me as a frequent plant shopper by name and I had been considering purchasing the last Alocasia x Amazonica they had in stock. About a week prior to my purchase, I looked over the plant in detail and there weren’t any signs of problems, pests or disease. I came back a few days later, without checking it over a second time (my mistake). At the register, Lynn unexpectedly gave me a small discount on the plant without explanation (the tag did not indicate any sale, and I’ve never had any item discounted at this store before). I just said thank you and went on my way, thinking nothing of it. I was very disappointed when I got home to notice the plant COVERED in white spider mites. As Lynn knew—since I bought plants there regularly—I have many plants in my home, and if this went unnoticed, it could have done hundreds of dollars in damage, with the potential to ruin my entire collection. Instead of giving me a sneaky 3.00 discount, I would have much preferred that she had told me the truth about the plant before I bought it... I chose to continue shopping there for other things after some time passed, although I will never buy a plant there again; many of their plants are infested with pests. Be careful. Today, I went to buy a mask as I forgot mine at home (borrowed my boyfriends to go inside the store). I quickly grabbed a mask, checked out, walked out of the store. Before I put it on I realized it was very tiny. Literally for children. I went right back inside the store to try and exchange it, and Lynn would not do a return or exchange. I understand that there is a pandemic, but also, she could have made an exception for a frequent customer- or for anyone because this product that I overplayed for is useless to me. Instead, I’m out $19.60 with a tiny(!) mask to show for it. There could be way better customer service here, and if it were my business, I would not have customers walking out feeling ripped off or deceived, I know this much. I loved supporting this local business, but they haven’t offered value or the same loyalty in exchange for this support, so I will not be shopping here again. Realistically, anything they sell there can be purchased online, probably much cheaper, too. I understand she is trying to keep the business afloat and may feel the need to sell at all costs, but dishonesty and bad customer service repels customers who want to support an honest business. Very disappointed in my experiences, funny to think I would have supported this business for a lifetime if they hadn’t been so shady.
The most beautiful shop! Floor to ceiling with the best goods. Love all the local! I also love all my plants from here and find the best gifts. They are so kind and go out of their way to be helpful. Def a favorite shop on Church St and happy that I can shop their website too. I enjoy following their Insta for up to the minute news/sales/products. Hoping they bring their plant story sales back as the months get warmer. I have a monsterra from here that’s grown so big and now I want a Fig plant!
Love the energy the team puts into your visit. They always have great plants, unique gifts, and the best stickers.
Such a cute space! Great for thoughtful gifts and surprisingly, plants! I can truthfully say I liked everything in the store! I will definitely be going back for gifts for friends!
My favorite local shop!
Great little shop in downtown Burlington VT. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The jewelry is mostly VT artists like Found and Ferral and Gosia Meyer.
Really cool place. Highly recommended.
