My wife ordered one of their mile-high 8 birthday cakes for me and it was delicious! I asked for mocha icing and it was the perfect combination of coffee and chocolate flavors. The cake itself was moist and chewy, just the way I like it. A really special touch was that they spelled out the birthday message in fondant letters. I should also mention that their cupcakes are delicious as well.

Last year I ordered a birthday cake with a Halloween theme and it was very tasty and so cleverly decorated! This year I got cupcakes instead (the cake was too big for us) and they were delightful! I asked for a holiday theme for someone who gardens and keeps bees. Im very happy with the quality of the products and the service. Give them a try if you have a special occasion.

My first stop into this amazing place was on Tuesday, my Mom’s birthday. She loves cupcakes so I selected four.“Would you like me to tie a ribbon on here for you?”“That would be great, thank you!”“You chose a great day to come in! It’s customer appreciation day so it’s buy one get one!” I never get this lucky!The box was returned to me with a red ribbon carefully tied with a pink birthday candle inserted into the bow. Perfectly adorable.I also selected two slices of maple pound cake for my husband and I and I’m so glad I did. That pound cake was the best I’ve ever tasted, I’m serious. It was somehow both light and moist, a combination in pound cake that normally only grandmothers can achieve after decades of practice.My Mom raved about those cupcakes for two days, comments like “wonderful, decadent, just the right amount of frosting, so beautifully packaged”.Please go give them a try, honestly there should be a line wrapped around the building. I like hidden gems like this one but it’s too good to NOT share. ❤️

A delayed review, but we reached out to Holly about ordering cupcakes for a office retirement party. Holly was very responsive and flexible and had 100 cupcakes packed beautifully for us to pick up on Friday morning.The cupcakes themselves were delicious! The red velvets were a massive hit with the entire office.I also ordered a macaroon for myself and it was light and sweet. We will certainly look to Holly for more events.

On my way to meet my daughter for her 21st birthday I Googled cupcakes near me and this place came up. Im so glad it did! The cupcakes were adorable and in my opinion, a great value. She even put a cute ribbon with a candle on the box. Thank you for your friendliness and customer service!

I had a wonderful experience here after my original cake lady informed me she couldn’t do a retirement party for me. The owner was truly a lovely person, customer service was excellent. Even more important, her baked goods are wonderful! Her buttercream is awesome, sweet but not overpowering, it complements the moist cupcakes and cake. Oh my goodness I won’t even start on the brownies! Amazing!

I was very disappointed..hearing all the good reviews about this shop..I was excited to stop in for some treats for Valentines day BUT the selection was limited and didnt have macaroons 2 days before Valentines day..lost a 40$ sale today. I will go into Graham to get my bakery needs.

I recently contacted Main Street Cake via email to inquire about an order that would just meet their 4-day advance notice. I received a response almost immediately, even though it was after 10pm. I was able to place my order and pay the invoice online that evening. The cupcakes (chocolate with peanut butter frosting and pink champagne) were beautiful and incredibly delicious. All of my guests were impressed! I would definitely order again!

The new owner here is a wonderful baker and person! Before she purchased this shop she did our wedding cake and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone kept talking about how beautiful and how delicious the cake was and asking for the baker. At the time she did not have her own shop but I happily refer everyone to Main Street Cakes now. We were just there today and I highly recommend the Pink Lemonade cupcakes!Side note: This is a family owned and operated place, so don’t act like you are better than them or your order is the only order that matters. Erin treats each customer with respect and gives each cake the care and time it needs to be perfect. If you understand that and give her the same respect and time then you will have a cake your family will talk about for months to come...our family still is!

I have no experience with the previous owner but I CANNOT understand the one bad review from of new owner. Racist? Someone is grasping at straws! Just ignore it! It seems very fishy, and I can’t take it seriously because I have dozens of phenomenal experiences from this incredible baker!!Erin (new owner) is simply the best in the business. Previously she operated from home and was called Erin’s Edibles. She still has all of her own previous items available now through Main Street Cakes, as well as all of the last owner’s items still available. Incorporating the two will be a game changer for the business!!She is the only person we trust to deliver exactly what we dream up, with no exceptions. She puts heart and soul into her creations and they exceed expectations without fail. She made my wedding cake to represent the exact tree my husband proposed in (which we’ve carved our initials in). Each layer was a different flavor and they were each phenomenal. (And when we pulled it out of the freezer a year later it still tasted good!!) She’s done custom birthday cakes and cookies for us as well. At this point I just give her the reins completely and say “you know what I’ll like” and she sure does it. Everything I’ve ever tried of hers was a level all it’s own....and I’ve tried a LOT! She’s as much a talented artist as she is a baker and t shows in every cake/cookie/creation.She is also an exceptional young lady who seems to conduct herself and her business on a moral level far above most. She brings a youthful twist to classic recipes, and to be so young has heaps of business sense and know-how. She will not do you wrong. She is prompt, helpful, kind, and reasonable in all of her dealings. If you can dream it up, Erin will make it happen. She treats every customer as a friend and takes it upon herself personally to make sure you’re happy with your purchase. I have ordered several cakes from here and every one of them were beautiful and delicious. I usually try to stop in a couple times a month to get a few cake slices and every one has been fabulous! I highly recommend the carrot cake and German chocolate.... they are amazing!

I ordered Cupcakes and Cake Pops for a recent baby shower and it was DELICIOUS! They were the hit of the party. The baker was concerned about the freshness of the cupcakes as these were made right before the ice storm and we had to move the shower up- She truly did not want me to serve them but despite the wait they were still wonderful and they were beautiful cupcakes. Ive had wonderful experience visiting the bakery and with the new owners! Even though Im not a huge cake fan, Ive bought a couple of her famous cupcakes and cake slices and they are the best Ive had! Needless to say, I do live 4 hours away, but always do my best to swing by Burlington and stop at Main Street Cakes! The new owner and her family are so sweet and really do care about making a cake or cupcake to your specific needs.I highly recommend stopping by and trying an Oreo Cupcake, Loco for Cocoa (for those who love chocolate - like my girl friend) and the oh-so-good Red Velvet cupcake! Or for those who dont like cake as much, try their amazing cookies and brownies!

A bit on the expensive side but very much worth it.

Had several issues with this bakery. I placed an order online for a cake after browsing through the pictures that they have posted on their website. I payed for the cake online through their website. The next day I received a phone call from someone at the bakery telling me that they were the new owners and that my payment was sent to the previous owners. Guess I shouldve know how disastrous this was going to be once I heard that. They told me that they would have the charges reversed and that I would need to just pay when I went in for pickup. Thats not a problem. Upon getting there to pick up the cake that I ordered I am presented with a paper that says all sales are final etc. I dont sign it I ask to see the cake first and good thing that I did. Completely different cake with totally different made roses then the one that was online. Who ever was working decided to tell me Well its because theyre made with icing. I told them that is why you keep it in the fridge!! To which he responded The refrigerator is broken!! Im sorry but how are you operating a cake shop that uses perishable items as part of the ingredients if you have no working refrigerators. Pretty sure thats a health violation. Needless to say I now have a party coming up in hours and no cake!!

The owner Erin is very talented. She can make just about anything. We are crazy about her stuff. She’s done lots of things for us, including a pig smash cake and custom decorated sugar cookies for our 1 yr olds birthday last month and it was all exactly what we asked for and everyone loved it. She treats us like family. My wife has to keep me from buying them out of red velvet cupcakes every week and getting fat. Try the angry orchard cake too. All her cakes are really moist. Her prices are very good for the quality you get. Sure you can go to Walmart, but you’ll never get anywhere near the flavor and quality of her stuff. She’s also got a lot of new flavors she created that are awesome to try. You want real cake you go to Main Street Cake.

I have encountered their delicious work quite a few times and having nothing but good things to say!Just yesterday my sister and I picked up a cake for our dads 59th birthday and everyone at the party raved about it! Soooo yummy!I have also ordered 2 dozen custom cupcakes for a special shopping event I hosted in my store for our VIP customers. She hand painted the companys logo on sugar paper as a customer topper. I ordered Oreo and chocolate. I was very pleased with the outcome and her dedication to my order.Hands down, Main Street Cake is the place to trust with any of your cake orders.

For all the friends of the shop owners trying to dismiss the fact that they misspelled name on cake and they colored in different spot on cake, please tell me what is really fishy? Me or this shady business? Everything I said was obviously no lie, because why would I try and ruin a persons business that I dont know. She treated me like I was the issue and problem. When you pay 130 dollars for something, you want it to be 100 percent correct. A 5in cake at 130$ should have been perfect. New owner is a FRAUD. Dont listen to these fake reviews posted by friends and family members.

I stopped in the shop for one of the grand openings today - I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was met with many amazing flavors of cakes and cupcakes to choose from! The Oreo cupcake I decided on was absolutely delicious! I would definitely go back!Erin, the new shop owner, also made my wedding cake earlier this year and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. Im a perfectionist and I was extremely worried my expectations wouldnt be met by any baker. I could tell Erin takes great pride in her work and is also very detail oriented, which is why I felt comfortable leaving such a major wedding piece in her hands. She turned my vision into a reality and I couldnt have been happier!!! It was absoultly perfect. The cake tasted just as amazing as it looked, too! Many of my wedding guests told me it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! Some of them are still talking about it!Then, because she did such an amazing job on our wedding cake, my husband ordered my birthday cake from Erin as well and she delivered again! An amazing, magical Harry Potter Monster Book of Monsters cake! My friends and I couldnt stop staring at it - it was so full of detail! It looked as if a picture jumped right out of a book! That cake was definitely a show stopper.I 110% recommend Erin and Main Street Cakes! I loved getting to see the shop, meeting some of the family that help run it, and taste some new flavors while I was there today!Also to note, their prices are extremly reasonable. You can find something perfect on any type of budget.

I am a young guy I have never bought personalized cakes before. I was looking for a shop and happened to pass this on the side of the road. I wish I never would have saw this shot and would have continued driving. When I went into the shop the people seemed unsure if I was actually going to purchase a cake. They introduced me to the new owner and pulled out a receipt bought book and for a cake thats less than 6 in she basically told me it was going to be a almost 130 dollars. I was a little taken back but I decided to go through with it because it was for a special birthday party. After days of calling the shop and leaving voicemails and waiting for the shop to open back up and return my phone calls; I finally had them returned my calls. They called several times because they had forgot everything I told them I want it on the cake when I first paid for half of the cake. I had to give them the colors of the cake again and also the type of flavoring of icing I wanted. When I finally went to pick up my cake someone met me at the shop, a guy whom I never had seen before. His nails were extremely dirty so I had assumed he had just rushed and put finishing touches on my cake. As I am heading down the road, I stopped to look at the other side of my cake that I didnt have a chance to look at it and see THEY SPELLED THE NAME WRONG. I called late that night and left a voicemail explaining the situation. Over a day later someone finally called me back. In explaining my frustrations they basically told me there was nothing they were going to do about it and hung up the phone on me. I have continued to call the shop and no one will pick up anymore. I have called over 10 times. WHATEVER YOU DO DONT GO HERE. THERE ARE BETTER AND CHEAPER SHOPS AROUND BURLINGTON. This new management sucks!! Please save yourself the trouble of having to communicate or deal with them.Update: Days later she returned my call but not once accepted responsibility for the child like coloring on cake and the misspelled name on the cake. She put everything on me. She didnt even acknowledge that she ignored my calls over 15 times. She treated me like I was stupid because I was a young black man. She ruined my FL trip because she made me feel like nothing. I think she may be a racist. Due to the fact of the way THEY all acted when I first wanted to purchase a cake.Posted more pictures due to the claim that the cake was not child like. The cake was horrible. She had to call me to get the information all over again, that is when I remembered to tell her to add the name. I did not call her about adding the name. I called her about seeing if I could pick up my cake earlier the day scheduled.She spoke of the harassment but she hung up when I was mid sentence telling her about the misspelled name. I was appalled because I was in FL for a birthday vacation and I was hiding the fact that their name was spelled wrong. The shop is only open 4 days a week for 7 hours or less. She ignored me everyday and texted me telling me she was in business meetings. Mind you, this is a baby cake pantry. I paid for something with my card and was supposed to be charged the back half when I recieved cake. She opened up store because she had to make cake, she was supposed to be there but there was a young male baker there.Look at the cake pictures. For what I was charged, I need a COMPLETE AND TOTAL REFUND. I WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD THE WORD. I will not let you RIPOFF ANYONE ELSE. You cant PAY to remove Google Comments or pictures! There is a difference between defamation and the TRUTH. Now she is pressing charges for harassment because I called her MULTIPLE times on a product I bought. Cant wait to see the judge because this is outright laughable.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience during my first visit to Main Street Cake. I was seeking a wedding cake consultation. I was greeted by a less-than-friendly employee, who initially put me off my guard. When the owner interjected, she treated me to a litany of her concerns about why customers shouldnt waste her time, why she believes in being blunt and up front, and how she fears scam-artists who might pretend to be getting married so they can eat free cake. I felt completely interrogated and left feeling bruised by her total aggression. If she is so deeply suspicious of her own customers, why engage in running a business? It was truly bizarre and one of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever encountered. Obviously, I would not recommend this establishment.

So many people just waiting to pull the trigger on writing negative reviews that mostly reflect their own self image, especially when you are going to a specialist shop like this, its fairly obvious, you cant do it yourself. Be a little less critical and a lot more welcoming and appreciative like Main Street Cake Shop. They appreciate your business and focus on you from the second you walk in the door until you leave. My daughters birthday is today and unfortunately everything, ANYWHERE, is obviously halloween themed. That gets old to a young teenage woman where then nostalgia and gimmick has run its course. April was more than happy to take a couple of the cupcakes and carefully pull off the halloween sprinkles and replace them with a more appropriate birthday themed sprinkle, as well as hook me up with the small amount of candles I needed, saving me from purchasing the entire lot which would go to waste. Ive been on the receiving end of these cupcakes more times than I can count, however I do not like leaving reviews until I experience the.. well... experience. From what Ive seen, Id rather see someone that leaves a hasty negative review over a $2 cake pop have their feedback reputation follow them when they post reviews, because some people use these experiences as a deciding factor and if you dont factor in you cant please everyone all the time equation, and let these salty interweb trolls defame reputable businesses because their requests were unreasonable (although doing it themselves is out of the question) they decide the best course of action is leaving negativity for a business that actually tries to meet those demands even though they should have turned away the ridiculous request. I do not know April personally, I have had their cupcakes and cakepops a few times, but this is the first professional interaction Ive had with her ever, and regardless of outcome, if I could do it, I wouldnt have gone to her, so anything that meets my needs is considered above and beyond and should be for everyone else. Please ignore any of the negative reviews as the subject matter, (taste), Ive had plenty of experience with, and they are ill warranted reviews by someone who likes to troll or had a bad day and took it out on her and didnt realize the impact their comments have on consumer ratings. I more than highly recommend going to see Main Street Cake shop for any of your cake needs (and be reasonable, dont ask for a 12 tier, 47 flavor, 96 icing wedding cake 4 hours before the wedding and leave a negative review. If you have a bad experience, try discussing it with the owner first, and if April can offend you, you probably needed it and wouldnt take much to do such a task. Yes, this is a review/rant on the ignorance of how powerful a hasty negative review is (which I saw she contacted each one to resolve the issue, which could have been done before hand) as well as me leaving my experience, mind you, I was in a rush, Im t-minus 45 minutes from throwing my daughter an after school mini party and she hooked me up like a champ and Ill be back just to stuff my face and not for just an event or occasion.... Think before you post people. It hurts a businesss permanent rating for your hasty Ill teach her to put yellow sprinkles on my cupcake when I only asked for blue, red and orange sprinkles negative review...
